The next morning Jordan decided to check out the lab. Tommy had left her a note that after school he would be going to run an errand. Jordan had an extra day off due to her leg but it was almost healed. She walked into the basement then looked around.

She walked over to the console and smiled as she noticed a picture on her and her family. She smiled sadly as she noticed her mother. The Oliver siblings had lost their mother four years ago to an accident, ther father had walked out on them when Jordan was 10.

She jumped when she heard a light thumping sound. "Huh?" Before she moved a spark came from her pendant with enough energy to send her flying to the floor.

Conner walked down the stairs to see her flying. "Jordan!"

Jordan groaned as Conner touched her back. She let him help her to her feet.

"What was that?" Conner asked looking around. "Jordan your pendant is glowing!"

Jordan took off her chain. Both looked to the desk as a green gem began to float into the air, it made its way towards Jordan and landed in her hand. "Is this?"

"A dino gem" Conner finished. "But that's impossible"

Jordan looked up at him in confusion. "What do you mean?"

"Jordan that gem was a dud, Dr.O told us when we found it that it had no energy inside it" He answered her as they looked back at the glowing gem. Jordan felt a surge of energy go through her.

"Then that means it has chosen me?"

Conner nodded with a huge smile. "Yeah it does."

Jordan gave the gem to Conner. "Conner i can't, please put it back. Please don't tell Tommy about this."

"But why?"

"Conner i can't" Jordan whispered as she walked out the secret entrance.

Conner watched her go, he put the green gem onto the desk and decided to do some homework.

An hour later Conner looked up to see Tommy return to the house. Tommy entered the lab to see Conner.

"Hey Conner"

"Hey. Dr.O" Conner replied looking up from the desk. Conner felt the tense feeling in the lab. "You okay?"

Tommy huffed. "Not really. I just met with a good friend in the park. Conner can i ask you something?"

Conner nodded as he closed his books. "Sure"

Tommy sat in the chair next to him."When you and Jordan talked the other day i know she mentioned Carter but did she happen to mention anything to you about Ryan or Dana Mitchell to you?"

"No, the only Mitchell she mentioned was a Captain Mitchell, Dr.O what's wrong?"

Tommy sighed defeated. "I know she is going to hate me for this but i just met with Ryan Mitchell in the park. I was going to go to Mariner Bay but he met me. Jordan has been like a daughter ever since she helped them. She has been ignoring them and hiding it from me. So i decided to find out why"

Conner ran a hand through his hair. "What's wrong?"

Tommy leaned back in his chair. "Jordan was in Mariner Bay two weeks ago, while she was there she witnessed him have a heart attack. She just ran out of the house and never returned. Ryan told me she never left a note, nothing. Now she is still not replying to their texts and she is ignoring their calls."

"Wow, but if she is like family why did she run?"

"Conner i have no idea. But i will get to the bottom of it". Tommy promised. "Is she home?"

Conner looked down. He wanted to tell him but he also didn't want to betray Jordan.

"Conner" Tommy was more stern. "What's wrong?"

Conner got up from his chair and walked to the other side of the desk. He picked up the green gem. "Its active"

Tommy took the gem and looked at his red ranger. "Conner its a dud"

"No, when i first got here and came down i saw Jordan being flung to the floor, a spark came from her necklace. I think the gem bonded to her" Conner finished. God the guild eating him up. "Please don't be upset with me"

"I'm not upset with you, its Jordan who i am upset with. First she is hidng stuff from me about the Mitchells now she wants to hide this from me." Tommy felt a little anger rise in his chest. "Look i am going to go talk to her, you can stay here if you want"

Tommy walked out of the lab. He noticed his sister sitting on the back porch/ "Jordan".

Jordan didn't turn her head as the tone was fierce.

"We need to talk" Tommy spoke getting her attention. "Now"

Jordan huffed and stood up to face her brother. She could tell he was mad about something. "Did i do something wrong" Her mouth dropped as he pulled out her phone. "What are you doing with my phone?"

"How about you answer this, why are you ignoring the Mitchells and before you answer i know more than you think".

Jordan narrowed her eyes. "Its none of your business, why does it matter?"

Tommy crossed his arms. "Jordan for years you never ever hid anything or lied to me. I called them today, Ryan met me at the park and he told me what happened. Jordan please why did you run?"

"You went behind my back? You had no right to do that!" She yelled.

"I had every right! This isn't like you, and this" He pulled out the gem. "You bonded to it, you were going to hide that to right?"

Jordan's face turned red. "Let me guess Conner told you, God can no one keep a secret around here, wait yes they can. Tommy you aren't the one to talk about secrets! Look what you did here, you promised me you were going to stay away from rangers yet you hid this all from me!"

"This is different!" Tommy snapped back.

"How!? How is this different from what i am hiding!?" Jordan was crying now. Tears streamed down her cheeks. "See you can't even answer me!"

This is what Tommy was afraid of. The hate coming from his sister was killing him. But the words that came next shocked him to the core.

"I couldn't watch him die" Jordan whispered as she walked past him. "Not like Mom"

Tommy felt hid anger drop from his body as her words ran through his ears. "Jordan".

Jordan finally took a breath from her crying and sat on the bench. "I couldn't watch Will die.". Tommy sat next to her. "I went to visit them since Dana just had her baby. She had a girl. Later that night her and Ryan along with Carter went out to eat so i stayed with Will. He came into the kicthen to get some popcorn but he just grabbed his chest and fell to the floor. I panicked and called an ambulance. After they took him i bolted."

Jordan took a pause to wiped her eyes. Her body shaking as she remembered. "I ran to the bus station then went back to Angel Grove. I have been ignoring them because i am afraid they are going to tell me he is gone"

"Oh kiddo" Tommy pulled his broken sister close. "He's not gone. He's just fine. Ryan told me they are all worried about you. I wish you would have just told me but I'm sorry i went behind your back"

Jordan laid her head on his shoulder. "Its okay, we lost Mom Tommy and i couldn't take losing him to."

"Trust me i understand but they need to know" Tommy spoke as he kissed her head. "Jordan go to Mariner Bay and talk to them please"

"I will, so Conner said this gem was a dud?" She changed the subject. They both got up and went back to the dino lab, they noticed Kira and Ethan had arrived.

"Jordan I'm sorry" Conner spoke coming up to her.

She waved it off with a smile. "Its alright."

Ethan smiled. "Hey I'm Ethan, we haven't met yet, I'm the blue ranger".

"Jordan, the nicer Oliver" She said with a grin causing Tommy to roll his eyes. "Its true"

Tommy scanned the gem to see that it was truly active. "I don't get it, when i found this it was a dud."

"Jordan where did you get your necklace?" Kira asked looking at it closer.

Jordan took it between her fingers. "Zordan had a power coin for me when i was a kid but he wouldn't give it to me because he wanted to keep me safe. He melted it down into the shape of an eagle because its my animal spirit."

A lightbulb in Tommy's brain went off. "Wait, that's it. His energy still may be there, when he was destroyed his wave did travel over the earth maybe whatever was in the pendant activated the gem. Jordan you still have your ninjetti powers, i think when your sparked your abiluty to track Conner it was enough to activate the gem."

Jordan took the gem that was now green into her palm. She watched as it turned into a dino bracelet. "I don't know if i can do this."

"Why not?" Ethan's voice soft.

Jordan looked at him. "Because he's not here to see it. He's not here to see me fight, he's not here to see me be a ranger since i was too young before"

"He's here kiddo, he always has been" Tommy whispered laying his hand on her chest. "He's in here"

Jordan looked at her brother then looked at her team. They each had a hopeful look. Tommy took her left wrist then slipped the bracelet onto it.

Everyone cheered as they gave her a group hug.

"Finally another girl!" Kira cheered. "Too many guys"

"Tell me about it, but you get used to it" Jordan replied aiwht a grin. "They come in handy when we go to the mall"

Jordan noticed her brother going towards the steps in a hurry.

"Jordan stay here" His tone serious but she knew never to argue when he used it. Jordan stayed put and sat around the lab with her new team.

Tommy ran out his front door to see a black SUV pull up. He took a deep breath as the back window lowered. His heart dropped at who was in front of him. "Dad"

Tommy hasn't seen his Father in years. He had walked ou them when Jordan was a child. His parents divorced due to him being a drunk.

"Hello son" He greeted. "Tell me is my daughter home".

"What's it to you?" Tommy snarled back. "Get off my property, you will not see her, i made sure of that"

Colin Oliver snickered. "Oh trust me, it may not be today or tomorrow but if i don't get to see her no one will"

Tommy felt a chill go down his spine as he drove away. He shook it off as he walked back into his house.
