Sesshomaru waited just outside the village while someone helped Kagome into her new Kimono. He thought about her as he stood there. How she always put others first. He lifted his head when he heard his name called. She waved and he looked her over. No longer wearing her indecent attire and refusing to be marked a Miko she now stood in a simple green and magenta kimono. Lightly layered and simple.

"Well, step one hu?" She spun "Better?"

Normally he would not care about such things, "Hn,"

She blinked at him,

"You should stop putting others first,"

"Where did that come from?"

"You are useless if you do not care for yourself first, it is not selfish Miko,"

"So you dont want my help?"

"It is too late to refuse me now woman, this is punishment, may it teach you a lesson," He turned and began to walk away. She shook her head "You know if you're stuck being human you would make a great teacher,"

"I will not be stuck being human Miko,"

"Stop calling me that, and remember what I said about the stick?"

"Did we not just go over this woman?"

"I bet I could make sit beads for you,"

Before he could reply a woman appeared "Well there is a thought,"

Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes and Kagome rushed to him and gasped. This woman did not have to give away power for Kagome to know this was the woman they had been looking for.

"I was only kidding," Kagome stated quickly before the witch got any funny ideas. She smirked at Kagome "Perhaps just a little, Ne?"

Kagome turned red "We have been looking for you," She stated beside her Sesshomaru was starting to growl as best a a human man could.

"I know why he seeks me but tell me little Miko why do you?"

"Tell help him,"

"Help him, he does not need help, I gave him simple instructions,"

"But that's not fair," Kagome pleaded,

"You care for him,"

Kagome swallowed "Well, yeah,"

The woman eyed Sesshomaru "I will not undo it, my spell stands it is for his own good,"

Sesshomaru moved but Kagome put her and on his chest, even human such an act would not stop him but he stalled just the same.

"You're playing with fate," Kagome stated "Who is to say he is supposed to have a human mate?"

The woman smiled softly and touched Kagome's cheek "Did it occur to you that I am helping him so that he does not suffer longer than he needs to?"

Kagome blinked. Sesshomaru grabbed the arm touching him and pulled her closer to him so that the wictch was no longer touching Kagome.

The witch's hand fell "Did it cross your mind that I may also be helping his future mate so that she does not suffer, so they can be together?"

Sesshomaru did not like the shift it Kagome's body weight, he knew with her being her she was buying what the woman was feeding her.
