HARRY POV
He could feel all the eyes on him as he practically floated across the Great hall over to his house. Morgan had made sure that the first thing he was taught was how to carry himself so he implemented all of her tutelage. Long, confident strides, chest out, shoulders back, Head held high and fixed forward, eyes scanning but not too much that you seem nervous, a completely neutral face courtesy of his mastery of occlumency.
Harry made his way over to the Blacks but it wasn't them that held his attention, no it was the greasy haired teenager with a long hooked nose and pale skin that was sitting next to Bellatrix. Harry looked down as he came to a halt behind one Regulus Black, who was sitting across from his curly headed cousin, before the boy quickly made room for him to sit down. As he sat he made eye contact with Bellatrix and gave her another wink. Dumbledore seemed to finally recover seeing as he clapped his hands together and the food appeared. However, Harry noticed that the old fool didn't spout his usual bullshit, and was happy to have thrown the git for a loop. Chatter quickly took hold around the room, with many glances still being sent Harry's way.
"So Harry. Quite the entrance you made, hmm?" Narcissa questioned, breaking the ice for the group, much to everyone's pleasure, as she reached for some food.
"Indeed. Did you like my surprise Cissa? How about you Miss. Black?" Harry asked, giving a pointed look to one Bellatrix who was staring at him with wide eyes still. She looked down at her plate quickly, breaking their eye contact.
'Interesting' Harry was brought out of his thoughts by the young Black next to him.
"Are you really Lord Slytherin?" Regulus asked him with a look of wonder on his face.
"Reggie!" Narcissa scowled at her baby cousin for his crass behavior. Harry laughed at the young boy.
"Yes I am. Would you like to see the ring?" Regulus' head began to nod furiously at that, but he wasn't the only one who appeared interested. Harry took note that all along the table people were watching him with mostly curious eyes, though one boy who looked an awful lot like Bellatrix's future husband looked positively furious. Harry held out his left hand and willed the Slytherin ring to appear on his ring finger, which it did.
"Oh wow. It's really cool," Regulus said in awe, as murmurs of agreement went around the table.
"Did Dumbledore really try to use legilimency on you?" The boy next to Calypso asked, he had the same light brown hair, and oval shaped blue eyes. Must be her brother.
"Yes. Unfortunately," Harry sighed.
"Heir Rosier I presume?" He asked with a tilt of his head. The boy in question stood up and stretched out his hand.
"Felix Rosier my Lord. Though please just call me Felix." Harry stood as well and shook the boy's hand, which were significantly smaller than his own perfect ritually induced hands.
"Lord Harrison Slytherin-Peverell. Though you already knew that. Harry is fine," Harry said as he sat back down, while Felix cracked a smile as he too took his seat.
"Can't believe the old bastard would dare to do such a thing," Felix sneered as he looked towards the man in question. Harry kept his focus on his food, showing the most perfect manners that left even Narcissa jealous.
"Yes well, he is far past his prime. And his manipulative behavior will be the death of him, sooner than later I believe," Harry responded as he slid a piece of steak into his mouth. He chewed softly then spoke again.
"To be honest, I get the assumption that he uses legilimency on all his students, from what I can tell at least. I would recommend you take up lessons with one of your cousins Scion Black, or with one of the two Masters Occulmens at the table. It would be a terrible thing if a house as great as the Blacks had their secrets leaked to that old kook," Harry turned to stare at Regulus who again nodded his head quickly.
"There are two Masters of Occlumency in Slytherin?! Who? And how do you know?" Narcissa leaned forward, eager to learn some else's secret.
"I'm a natural Legilimens. Obviously I would never break into people's minds just because I felt like it, like good old Dumbles, but when I am around people I feel some basic emotions, even people like you Cissa though yours's and Miss. Black's are much more muted than those without shields. There is only one person in this whole hall who I cannot feel any emotions coming off of besides the Headmaster, McGonagall and your Aunt." Harry replied with a shrug. Narcissa was practically jumping up and down with anticipation.
"Who?!" She squealed out. Harry shrugged once more.
"It is not my place to say. If they want to reveal themselves then so be it, but for now you will have to do with the knowledge that they are from Slytherin," Harry replied, earning himself a small, unnoticed nod of appreciation from Snape. The rest of the welcome feast dragged on at a near unbearable pace, as nice as it was to talk to the Blacks and Rosiers, Harry could tell that something was brewing further down the table.
When the feast ended Harry followed the group he was with out of the great hall, Regulus stayed with them as well, choosing to not go with the other first years and the prefects. They made their way down the castle and to the Slytherin common room, which opened without a password for them.
"That's odd. Is there no password yet?" Calypso asked one of the perfects they saw when they walked in. They shook their head, saying there was and that it was "Pride".
"It's probably because Harry is Lord Slytherin, so he obviously doesn't need a password to get in," Narcissa offered to the group who all nodded their heads at her logic. Harry smiled to himself.
'She really is a genius. Shame she was wasted in marrying that buffoon Malfoy. Speaking of, where are he and his little cronies?' As if on cue a loud snort could be heard behind them, as Rodolphus Lestrange, Bellatrix's future husband, waltzed in like he owned the place, with his brother, Lucius Malfoy, and two other boys Harry did not recognize, in tow. The common room door closed behind the group of boys as Slughorn entered. He gave a speech, which Harry paid no mind to as he eyed up Lestrange who had palmed his wand. Silently Harry slid his own divine weapon into his hand, but kept it hidden beneath his robes. As soon as Slughorn left the room Lestrange fired.
"Confingo" Rodolphus shouted at Harry, which Harry effortlessly shielded with a silent Protego. He noted how the other boys of the group had also palmed their wands, though Malfoy was standing in the back. Harry watched as the people around him quickly scurried away, with Cissa and Felix dragging Bellatrix away.
'Always the coward, aye Lucy'
"How dare you claim to be Lord Slytherin! You are not worthy of the TITLE!" Rodolphus snarled at him as he threw a cutting curse at Harry. Harry sidestepped it easily before casting another silent Portego to absorb the other boys' stunners.
"The Dark Lord is the Heir to Slytherin! Not YOU! You are just filth!" He screamed at Harry as he threw two bonebreakers rapidly before a Reducto. Harry sidestepped the first two then batted away the Reducto easily.
"You're right of course, I am not the Heir of Slytherin," Harry replied nonchalantly as he casually sidestepped the multiple spells being cast at him at once. His reflexes really were something else now. He knew that Rodolphus and Malfoy were sixth years, plus the other three who he didn't know, he wasn't too worried either way. These mini death eaters were not even in the same league as him anymore.
"I AM THE LORD OF SLYTHERIN $YOU PATHETIC WELPS$" Harry declared, switching into Parseltongue for the last part. The boys turned a white at that, their eyes wide with looks of horror. Harry proceeded to cast three bone breakers, breaking a leg on each of the two unknown boys and breaking the wand arm of the other Lestrange brother. By the time they knew what was happening it was only Rodolphus and Malfoy left. They stepped up together to face Harry throwing Bone breakers and leg lockers as they did. Harry let them do this for another minute or so, side stepping all the spells with ease, while occasionally batting one away with his wand when he felt like it.
"I grow bored of playing with you," Harry sneered at them. He flicked his wand as he cast a silent Immobulus followed by a silencing spell and a Depluso that threw them back against the wall. Harry then strolled over to both of them and flicked his wrist sending out 4 bone breakers that broke both of the boys' knees, leaving them screaming in silent pain. He spun around on his heel and stared at the Slytherin common room. The silence was deafening.
"Anyone else? Speak now." He questioned calmly, tilting his head at the question, staring down the rest of the common room as his green eyes swam with power.
"Good. I will be going to bed then," Harry said as he walked right past the other students over to the Painting of Salazar Slytherin that hung on the far wall.
"$Lord Slytherin has returned. I require my chambers$" To the crowds amazement the panting nodded at Harry and shimmered as he walked right through it!
BELLATRIX POV
She wanted to fight, and stand with Harrison against those pathetic fucks but her sister and Felix had dragged her when she tried to jump in. Sure she may have been known as a fighting addict but so what! She loved the feeling of superiority it gave her when she crushed weaklings in a duel.
She had expected it to at least be a good fight to watch, even if she wasn't allowed to get involved. The last thing she expected was for Harrison to crush them all so..so.. easily. It was disappointing but at the same time was the sexiest thing she had ever seen. She could feel it before, or yes, she could feel the power wafting off of him, but now that she had seen it, she was in awe of both his skill and brutality. She could feel herself become aroused as she watched him easily toy with the 5 boys, 3 of them which were 6th years no less! Even she, with all her own capabilities, would have been hard pressed to win that fight. But not him. No, he wasn't even sweating when he turned around and addressed the room. She realized it now, the reason why he was so confident when she had first met him.
He had power.
"Did you see that Cissy?!" She whispered furiously to her sister when they made it into their double room. All rooms in the Slytherin Dorms were doubles, which had sucked originally for the triplets but Andy decided to room with their cousin who they all adored like she was their fourth sister.
"Of course I saw Bella!" Narcissa scowled at her sister for the stupidity of her question as they both began placing wards around their room. It wasn't safe for anyone, especially beautiful girls in Slytherin, to leave their rooms unwarded.
"He's so domineering, and powerful," Bellatrix purred as she sat cross legged on her bed.
"Yes he is. He also knows how to handle himself and has the most grace I have ever seen," Cissy replied as she began changing into her nightgown. Bellatrix laid back on the bed in thought about the man she had just witnessed.
"Do you think he would take me Cissy?" Bellatrix blurted out. Narcissa spun around her mouth open.
"B..Bella what do you mean?" She stammered.
"Do you think he would take me? Make me his. Let me fight alongside him. You saw how he handled those little shits, how he handled Dumbledore. He's going places Cissy. He's going to do great things. And I want to be right there with him," Bellatrix murmured from her bed.
Narcissa couldn't believe what she was hearing Bella had… had a crush.
"Bella. Do you have a crush on him?" She asked gently.
"I don't know. I've never wanted to be with anyone before. They were all too weak and pathetic to be worthy of me. But he's not. He's more than worthy. Is that what a crush is?" Bellatrix rolled over on her side, staring at her sister with a questioning look.
"I guess so, in your own slightly twisted way." Bellatrix laughed at that as she too got up and changed for the night.
"Goodnight Bella."
"Goodnight Cissy."
HARRY POV
Harry jolted awake with a start. He had another nightmare. They had all but gone away when he slept with Vinda, but now that he was back on his own they had returned full force.
'Fuck my stupid brain'
"$Are you alright hatchling?$" Cora questioned him as she slithered up the side of her nest. He simply nodded his head in response. While he hadn't slept great he had to admit, Salazar 's room was great. From what he had told Harry, no one else had ever been in this room, but it was still perfectly clean which means the elves kept it up. It was large, about the size of the pub area in the Leaky Cauldron. There was a huge Slay bed pushed against the wall in the middle of the room, with a large fluffy Slytherin green comforter and grey sheets. The posts of the slay bed along with the bottom framing all had carved snakes.
The room itself was, well, was very Slytherin. It was a nice silver color, with lots of black and green accents around the room. The massive crystal Chandelier that hung from the ceiling shined a brilliant warm color, casting the room in a much needed welcoming glow. To the far right of the room, next to the giant glass window with the view of the lake, Salazar had set up a large nest area for his familiar to sleep which Cora had been VERY excited about when she saw.
There was a door on either side of his bed as well. The one on the right he knew, led down to the secret rooms in the Chamber of Secrets. The one on the left however led into a massive bathroom made out of black marble. It had 2 sinks, which Salazar said was in mind in case both the Lord and Lady wished to stay together, along with a "Bathtub" that was larger than the prefect bath. There was also a large shower with multiple heads that could be adjusted at will. It was glorious and Harry had soaked in that shower for nearly an hour last night before going to sleep.
He quickly threw on his clothes and grabbed his stuff before heading back out into the common room. It was still relatively early when he appeared from the painting, but even so the whole room went silent at the sight of him, before quickly re engaging in their conversations when he gave them a look. To his surprise it wasn't the Blacks that were the first to greet him this morning, but one long nosed teen.
"Severus Snape, Severus is fine," He said as he stuck his hand out in greeting to Harry, who shook it in response.
"Lord Harrison Slytherin-Peverell, though just Harry will do." Snape nodded at this.
"So tell me Harry, how was my Occlumency compared to others you have seen," he asked as the two boys walked out of the common room and towards the Great Hall for breakfast. Ah, now it made sense why Snape had seeked him out. He had always been an avid lover of the Mind Arts.
"Very good, surprisingly. I can confidently say you are just as good as Dumbledore and McGonagall, Professor Black on the other hand has you beat," Snape nodded at this with a smile, seemingly very pleased with himself.
"What about yourself?"
"Hmmm. On my own you probably have me beat but with my familiar backing me up my shields are even stronger than Professor Black's," Snape turned to look at him in surprise.
"You have a familiar? Like a bonded one? Not just a pet?" He inquired, fascinated by the idea of someone having a familiar, they weren't exactly common in the wizarding world anymore.
"Indeed I do. A ancestor's familiar, she is quite old now, though I am positive she will most likely still outlive me," Harry replied with a warm smile as they arrived at the Great Hall. They sat down and continued their conversation, ending it with Harry telling Snape he would introduce the two in the future. Would he actually? Who knows. Once they had finished with their food they headed off to Transfiguration for their first class of the day. When Harry entered the room he saw his Mother sitting next to her friends, and his father and Sirius right behind her.
They all gave him a smile when they saw him, something that lit Harry's heart on fire, and his mother even gave a small wave, which he returned with a short nod before taking a seat in the front of the Slytherin section. Snape sat down on his left, and another boy sat to his right. The boy turned to make conversation with Harry but quickly was kicked out of his seat by an angry looking Bellatrix, who then slid in and gave Harry a dazzling smile.
'Oh Gods. What did I get myself into?'
McGonagall started the lesson off, lecturing them about changing an inanimate object into a living thing. It was something he could do in his sleep so he spent the time watching his parents discreetly. His mother was, in a sense, just like Hermione, always asking questions and taking notes, his father and Sirius on the other hand, were whispering and goofing off.
"Look at little miss goody two shoes," Bellatrix leaned over and whispered to him, making a gesture to his mother. A cold fury rose inside him at the thought of anyone insulting her.
"Quiet Bellatrix!" he snapped at her. Which had the desired effect as she slammed her mouth shut and stared down at her hands under her desk. Did he feel bad about yelling at the Bigot bitch, Not really. Well maybe a little bit, but he would be damned if he let anyone insult his mother.
He looked over at Bellatrix who looked genuinely hurt that he had snapped at her. He shrugged his shoulders. She would learn then. McGonagall finished up with her lecture and moved them on to the practical portion of their lesson.
"Now as you can all see, you should have a wooden block on your desk. I would like you to try to turn it into a white rabbit. Remember the incantation is "Lepus albus" and the wand movement is a simple half circle then downwards stroke. Do I have any volunteers?" She asked the class after demonstrating the spell. When no one raised their hand she looked around until her eyes landed on Harry.
"How about you, Lord Slytherin-Peverell? Would you mind being the first to give it a go?" She asked him with a raised eyebrow.
Harry merely raised one back before simply waving his wand over his box and turning into an exact replica of the rabbit on McGonagall's desk. The whole class looked at him with their eyes open, and Bellatrix looked like a four year old who had just been given candy. His Mother gave him a wide smile while his dad and Sirius gave him a thumbs up, wow it felt good to accomplish something and have their praise.
"Harry is fine by the way Professor," he added at the end.
"Very Impressive Harry. No wand movement and silent casting. Not even most of my N.E.W.T students could accomplish that, much less in one go. Take 15 points for a beyond perfect transfiguration," she said with a warm smile before she turned back to the rest of the class.
"Now all of you, make sure you use the wand movement and incantation unless you have mastered this type of transfiguration already. Understood? Good. Begin."
Harry watched as the class struggled through it. His Dad managed to do it on his first try and then began trying to do it without the wand movement. His mother seemed to struggle at first but then eventually got it. Sirius was doing Gods knows what.
'I was always told Dad was a transfiguration genius'
"How did you do it?" Bellatrix leaned over to ask, Harry noted that her block had also become a white rabbit, though not as perfect as his, it was still extremely well done.
"Intent, Control and Practice," he replied with a shrug as he looked into her beautiful violet eyes.
"Show me?" She asked, tilting her head slightly, her eyes lit with hope. Harry thought about it for a second before nodding his head and her face broke into a wonderful smile.
'She really is beautiful. It's a shame she became what she did.'
Harry began to explain the theory to her behind silent casting and no wand movements, she seems to have an easier time grasping the latter. About 5 minutes later she finally was able to do it without the wand movement and broke into a giggle before thanking him with an extremely cheerful grin that was contagious as Harry smiled back.
The class ended shortly after as they moved on to their next class which was a double potions block with Hufflepuff.
Harry arrived at the classroom early once again and went to stand in the front as Severus joined him, much to Bellatrix's displeasure. She ended up pairing up with a girl who looked just like her, just with wavy brown hair.
'Must be the other sister. Tonk's mom.' Harry was broken out of his thoughts when a cheerful, slightly less round Slughorn greeted the class.
"Hello everyone! Today we will be starting with the pepper-up potion. Now I know that normally you all have potions with another house, so I thought it would be good to partner you up with someone from the opposite house, so you could get to know each other! I, of course, have taken the liberty of making the pairs for you all," he chuckled joyfully as he began reading the names off of the list. Harry zoned out until he heard his name being called.
"Lord Slytherin-Peverell and Amelia Bones"
Oh boy.
Harry scanned the room and saw the fiery redhead picking up her bag and books before walking over to where he was standing.
"Your table is in the front, so we will use it," She stated in a tone that allowed no room for arguments before turning to look at Snape. He got the idea and quickly fucked off.
"Of course Miss. Bones," Harry replied with a smile, amused by her antics. Control freak much?
"Amelia is fine my Lord," She said through gritted teeth, obviously not happy with having to call him by his title. Should he be nice? Ehhhh. Sure, why not, he could use her support for the future anyway.
"Harry is fine then, no need to stand on formality for my sake," She looked slightly taken aback by that before nodding her head slowly and giving him a slight smile. They worked well together, though they talked only when necessary and only about the potion. By the end of the class they had received an O from Slughorn along with his praise at how strong the potion was. Harry packed up his stuff and turned to leave.
"I am impressed Harry. You are quite adept at potions," Amelia said to him as he went to make his exit. He turned back slightly.
"Thank you Amelia. You aren't too bad yourself," He replied with a flash of his pearly whites before leaving the classroom and heading to lunch. He ate a light lunch with the other Slytherin talking about pointless small things, before getting up and heading to his last class of the day, DADA. This was one he was excited for.
As he was walking down the hallway with Bellatrix, Narcissa and Snape he noticed Sirius motioning to him.
"You guys go ahead I'll catch up," he told them. He Turned around quickly and strided away, leaving no time for the arguments he knew Bellatrix was going to voice, she was becoming quite clingy to his amusement.
"Hey Sirius, good to see you," he said when he arrived in front of the group of Gryffindors.
"You too Harry. So tell me. What's this I hear about you being all Buddy Buddy with Bonsey?" Sirius slung his arm around his shoulder and asked with a broad grin. James mirrored the grin and Lily just rolled her eyes while the other girls laughed. Pettigrew and Remus didn't say anything and just looked the other way.
"Bonsey?" Harry replied with a raised eyebrow at that.
"He means Amelia," Lily supplied for him, shooting him a warm smile that made his heart do flips.
"I don't know about Buddy Buddy. She just told me I was "quite adept" at potions," Harry used his air quotes to get his point across. Somehow Sirius's grin grew even bigger at that.
"Well you see Harry boy, that's the nicest thing Bonsey has ever said to a boy in her time here."
"Seriously?" James and Sirius both nodded their heads, and even the girls reluctantly did too.
"Maybe someone's finally gonna get a chance to break down those walls even you can't get around. Aye Padfoot?" James elbowed his best friend in the gut.
'Padfoot?! I thought they undertook their transformation in their 5th year. Don't tell me Sirius lied to me because he didn't want me to know how reckless they were!'
"That's enough boys. Come along Harry we have DADA," Lily said as she grabbed his hand and pulled him down the hall to the classroom. He was holding his Mother's hand! It felt so right and comfortable, like… like home. When they eventually got to the classroom Lily kept pulling him along and Harry didn't want it to end so he said nothing until Alice spoke up.
"Um Lily? You're still holding Harry's hand," She pointed at where they were joined. Lily quickly let go and turned beat red.
"I..I'm sorry Harry. Guess I got a little carried away in my enthusiasm for class," She stuttered in embarrassment.
"That's okay Lily. I really didn't mind at all," he replied with a warm reassuring smile on his face, which caused her frown to fade away into her usual smile. They all walked into class together and Harry could feel the eyes that bore into him. He made his way over to the Slytherin section where Snape and Narcissa were both giving him puzzled looks, while Bellatrix looked at him with her eyes narrowed and her head tilted.
"Why were you with the mudblood?" Bellatrix hissed to him. He saw red. He could feel his rage swelling off of him at what she had just said. How DARE she call HIS MOTHER that foul word! He watched as Bellatrix jumped back as the air around him electrified. He stared at her for a long minute, his green eyes boring into her very soul as her eyes continued to widen as she realized her mistake.
"Don't EVER call her that again. Do you understand me Bellatrix?" He gritted out between clenched teeth. Bellatrix nodded her head feverishly looking down in her lap as she did. Harry turned away from her, his rage still tangible in the air, and looked toward the front of the classroom where he saw his Vassal preparing her lesson. At least Cassiopeia would know better than to piss him off more.
BELLATRIX POV
Bellatrix followed her sister up to the front of the DADA classroom to say high to their Auntie, who gave them each a quick hug and told them to go sit down before the rest of the class got there. She had just taken her seat next to Cissy when she saw Harry walk in with the Gryffindors of all people. And to make matters worse she had seen how that mudblood had touched him outside the door.
'How dare she try to touch him with her filthy mudblood hands. She's trying to taint him. Disgusting creature, they shouldn't even be allowed to come to this school,' She thought, furious that someone else, especially a mudblood, dared to try to take him from her. When he sat down she leaned over, determined to find out what that was all about.
"Why were you with the mudblood?" She hissed at him. As soon as she said those words she realized she had fucked up. She felt the air shock her, so she instinctively jumped back. She tried to breathe but realized she couldn't, it was like the very air itself was choking her. Her eyes began to widen in realization when the object of her fancy turned to stare at her dead in her eyes. His beautiful green eyes were filled with an emotion she had not seen in them before. She knew what it was though, she had seen it plenty of times in the mirror.
Rage.
He was mad at her. No, not mad. Furious. Why? What had she done? How could she fix it? She didn't want him to be angry with her! That was the LAST THING SHE WANTED! Why was this so fucking HARD!
He continued to stare at her, as she ran out of air. She didn't dare move a muscle. She had figured out that the reason she couldn't breathe was his magic. His sweet sweet beautiful magic was going to kill her. She could see the panicked look on her sister and Severus' faces out of the corner of her eye but even they didn't dare to interfere. Not that she wanted them to. If she had angered him so much then maybe she deserved the punishment, if that is what made him happy with her again.
"Don't EVER call her that again. Do you understand me Bellatrix?" he growled at her. She nodded her head as fast as she could to show that she understood and wouldn't do it again. He turned away from her and she was finally able to breathe. She cast her eyes down at her lap in shame for angering him. She didn't understand why he had said that about the mudbloo- no that muggleborn, but she knew she would never again call her that. She felt the tears well up in her eyes and looked up to see her Aunt staring at her in pity before a note appeared on her desk.
Go to the bathroom dear. It won't do to have you cry in class.
Love Aunt Cassie
Bellatrix quickly got up and left the room, she could feel Cissy following her but she didn't care. She quickly found an abandoned classroom and ran inside it, followed closely by her sister. She just stood there with silent tears welling up in her eyes as Cissy cast a privacy and silencing charm on the room. As soon as she had turned back around Bella crashed into her sobbing into her shoulder. She could feel her sister stroking her back and her hair, trying, and failing, to calm her down.
"H..H..He hates m…me Cissy," She whimpered into her sister's arms after a few minutes, as she held her up, her tears drenching the robes Narcissa wore.
"Shush Bella. I doubt he hates you. He was probably just upset," Narcissa tried to reason, but as Bellatrix looked up into her sister's eyes she saw that even she didn't believe what she was saying. That brought a new wave of emotions upon her as she broke down even further and fell to the ground.
NARCISSA POV
Narcissa watched her sister sadly. She knew how Bella worked, she was her triplet, more like twin with how little Andy spent time with them, but still. She knew how emotional she was, and how closed off she was to certain types of emotion. Before last night in their bedroom she had never even heard Bella mention a boy being cute much less liking a boy. It was part of who she was, and she did love her sister truly, but she wished she wasn't so obsessive sometimes. Bellatrix has an extreme obsessive behavior problem.
It started when they were younger, if she wanted something she needed to have it, and would do anything to do so. But unlike other people, she wouldn't get rid of it when she was bored, no she would use it until it was no more, or like somethings that didn't get used up, she would keep it forever. She wasn't 100% sure what had happened that day when they met Harry in the bookstore, but she was sure about one thing. As conflicted as her emotions were about it, Bellatrix would never be able to be with anyone but Harry, she would rather be left to die alone than be with another. She knew this for certain, and that's why it broke her heart when she watched him nearly kill her sister in pure rage, even if he had not meant to do so, which she was sure he hadn't.
"Shhhhh Bella. I'll help you okay? We will make him forgive you. I promise I will help you in any way I can. Okay?" That was all she could really say to her at the moment, it was the only thing she could think of that had a chance of working.
BELLATRIX POV
Bellatrix looked up at her baby sister, her best friend.
"Do you really mean that Cissy? You promise to help?" She asked quietly, not wanting to believe something that was too good to be true.
"Of course I do Bella. I would have helped you either way if you asked me to. Now I will just have to try even harder for you," Narcissa replied as she kneeled down to her sister's level. Bellatrix lunged at her sister and pulled her into a fierce hug.
"Thank you Cissy. Thank you for understanding how important this is to me. Thank you so much," She whispered into her sister's long beautiful blonde hair as she clutched onto her like one of those muggle Koala bears. Cissy just kept rubbing her back and offering words of encouragement and reassurance. After about 10 more minutes, she finally pulled back and stood up with the hand Cissy offered her. She looked at her sister square in the eyes.
"What do I do Cissy?" She pleaded, desperate for a solution.
"Well first off. We need to clean you up. We can't have you going in there looking a mess," Narcissa responded before waving her wand speaking the incantations for the multiple beauty and freshening charms she knew. Bellatrix just nodded her head at this. Of course she wanted to look good for him! She wanted him to want her!
"Next. You need to apologize. But don't do it the way you normally would, where you say it as soon as you see him. Wait until after the class is over and then pull him aside so it is just the two of you. Okay?" Again Bellatrix nodded her head.
"Good. Come now Bella. Let us return," Narcissa put on a warm smile for her sister, taking her hand and leading her back to the classroom.
I always hated how many stories take away the fact that Bellatrix is mentally challenged, she is not the perfect girl, and shouldn't be written as such. Not every chapter will be the slow day to day stuff, and the plot will continue at a steady pace. This was needed now in order to set up the future properly.
