Frost POV

I woke up to sunlight shining on my face. I squinted and slowly walked over to close the blinds. Once I was partially awake, I realized I was still very tired. The only things I can remember from yesterday were going through the long process of becoming a rescue team, and staying up way too late because I was dragged into the shitty celebration the others made in thirty minutes. I walked downstairs to find Doll sleeping on the couch with that Sableye, Gem, right beside her, also off in snoozeville. I sighed and went to wake them up. I flicked Gem's forehead, then shook Doll until she opened her eyes.

"Alright! I'm awake! Geez..." She yelled at me. Gem slowly got up, then got scared by the sudden appearance of Marshadow.

"W-Where did you c-come from?" He asked after calming down.

"You just learn to deal with it." I answered. I turned to said 'mythical' in front of me.

"What bad news do you have this time?" I asked with my arms crossed.

"Two wild Pokémon are attacking a village three miles southeast." Marshadow said in his strangely calm tone.

"Alright, then we'll get going. Doll, can you get Rush?" She nodded at my request.

"Gem, you'll need to tell Cream about this once she gets back." I stated before the three of us left. I saw him nod out of the corner of my eye.

It took about two to three minutes to get there. Once we did, I saw that the whole place had been destroyed. Marshadow told me that they evacuated, so at least we won't need to worry about civilians.

"You never specified what Pokémon they were." I said as we walked through the destroyed village.

"There is a Drapion, as well as a Magnezone. They are both fully evolved, and powerful. We must stay on high alert." He finished, then looked around. We both jumped away as the spot where we stood had two Pin Missiles imbedded in the ground. The Drapion stood about ten metres away, I noticed its eyes were a glowing red. We got ready to fight as it charged at us. I dodged and went right, while Marshadow went left. We hit it with Ice Punch from both sides, dazing it for a second before it lashed out, swinging its claws in every direction, hoping to hit one of us. Marshadow ran in and dodged until he was close enough to give it an uppercut, sending it slightly into the air. I jumped up to meet it, to which it tried to bite me, so I shot a Shadow Ball into its mouth. It crashed to the ground and steam came out of its jaws. The Drapion didn't look like it took any damage at all.

"Uh, I think this'll be way tougher then we thought. Also... I don't see that Magnezone you mentioned." I wiped some dirt from my face as Marshadow glanced around.

"Unless it relocated to another area, it must be planning a surprise attack." I chuckled at his words.

"If it's actually feral, then it wouldn't think to do either of those. It's probably making a new home in one of these houses." And of course, as if it heard what I said, the Magnezone floated out to join in the fight, and it also had bright red eyes.

"Shit. The others better get here soon." I muttered while I was back to back with Marshadow.

"I will fight the Magnezone." He said as they crept closer.

"Sounds good to me." I replied before we had to jump into action. The Drapion tried to hit me using Poison Sting. I just barely dodged and delivered an Iron Tail to its chest, but it didn't stagger. I was grabbed by the arm and thrown into a nearby house. I turned my head to see an imprint of myself on the wall. I looked back in time to get decked in the face by Cross Poison. I rolled out of the way to dodge the next clobbering. Luckily, that last attack didn't poison me, but I'll still have to be really careful since I'm fighting this guy on my own... or I would say that if Doll and Rush didn't arrive at the perfect time. Doll flew over to help Marshadow as Rush jumped in to send a High Jump Kick to the back of the Drapions head. He landed beside me and grinned.

"Looks like we got here in the nick of time."

"You wish. Anyway, this thing is strong, and soaks up damage like a sponge. I say we've gotta keep attacking non-stop until it either gets too tired, or feints." He nodded and we started our barrage.

Marshadow POV

Fighting the Magnezone is easier because of Doll, but it will not stay down no matter how many times we attack. It appears to be regenerating the damage it had gained. I also noticed that its attacks are more powerful then they should be. It managed to hit us both with Discharge. It used Electric Terrain while we are effected by the paralysis. The Magnezone quickly flew forward in order to hit us with Steel Roller, which Doll tried to dodge. We can not move far, so I will counter its Steel Roller with my own. I was able to use Copycat just before we were hit. It did stop its attack, but it quickly blew us away with its Rising Voltage. Frost and Rush were both thrown towards us.

"They are quite powerful, but the more alarming thing is that they seem to be regenerating. What will we do?" I asked.

"No matter how much we hit them, they regenerate. They're more powerful then they're supposed to be as well... I hate to say it, but I think the only way to stop them... is to kill them." Frost explained rather bluntly. Rush did not seem to like the idea.

"There really isn't any other way?!" He shouted as Frost shook his head.

"Sorry, but unless you can immobilize them-"

"We could pull them underground with Dig!" He smiled as the other sighed.

"It'll probably work on Drapion, but I'm not sure about that scrap heap over there." Frost pointed to Magnezone.

"Then again, we don't have anything else, so let's do it." He finished. Frost and Rush dug into the ground.

"So, guess we'll have to distract it?" I nodded at Doll's question. She flew at Drapion, grabbing its attention. The Magnezone tried to attack, but I sent it back with Close Combat. I heard the breaking of rocks and looked back to see the Drapion being pulled into the ground. Once it was trapped, I began a barrage of Fire Punches in order to push the Magnezone to ground level. It struggled and sent electricity in every direction, but we were still able to immobilize it.

"Damn, that was much harder then I expected..." Frost muttered to himself as Doll turned and started waving. We turned our heads to see Cream and Gem walking up to us, exhausted.

"We... got here... as fast... as we could..." Cream breathed heavily in between her words.

"We kinda already dealt with it... although they were much tougher then they should have been. These bastards can even regenerate, it's not normal." Frost walked over to the Drapion. It tried to bite him, but he stood too far away.

"It's still trying to attack me, they're way too aggressive to be just feral Pokémon."

"Then what are they?" Rush scratched his head. Before anyone could speak any further, the ground around the Drapion cracked and broke. It jumped towards Frost and stabbed through his left arm with its claw.

"Frost!" Cream ran forward, as did the others. Frost threw a shard of ice into its chest, right where its heart is. It dropped him, and fell to the ground.

"It's dead." Doll stated.

"But there is still-" I was cut off by the Magnezone ramming into me with Giga Impact, pushing me back. It kept going until we crashed into a house. I was about to move away, but it used Self-Destruct. I could not get away in time. I was barely conscious, but I could see the Magnezone critically injured as well. I passed out shortly after.
