IMPORTANT NOTE AT THE END!
Brynlee was currently sitting on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean, which could only be accessed by someone who could fly, because for the first time since she arrived in Cocoyashi, she decided to actually try and plan ahead a little.
She'd already done a lot to alter the original timeline. Arlong was now a good guy (kind of), Bellemere was alive and Nami wasn't traumatized beyond belief, nor did she become an indentured servant to try and free her village. The Revolutionary Army had established a foothold in the East Blue, Koala had somewhat reconciled with the Fishmen, and Sabo had now regained his memories. He'd left two days ago to return to his brothers, with the promise that he would come back as soon as possible to continue his training under Miss Belo and keep on working for the Revolutionary Army.
She'd saved herself, protected a future crewmate, and indirectly helped her future Captain. Now, she wanted to try and see if she could help the others as well.
She'd briefly worried about Nami. Would she still have the motivation to join Luffy's crew, if he didn't need to save her? But as she watched her friend's passion for mapping grow each day, she realized they'd be fine. Nami's dream would soon grow too big for this island alone to satisfy her, after all.
There wasn't much she could do for Sanji. Chef Zeff was taking well-enough care of him, after all, and the ghosts of his past wouldn't become relevant for another decade, at the very least. He was already as safe and happy as could be, so the one thing left to do was to nurture their friendship, potentially introduce Nami early, and warm him up to the idea of taking to the sea in a few years with them.
There wasn't much she could do for Zoro, either. Kuina's death wasn't something she could possibly prevent, after all. However, she vaguely remembered Zoro's dojo as originally having helped the Revolutionary Army once, so she made a note of informing Miss Belo of a potential ally in Shimotsuki Village, but that was that.
Finally, the last crewmate left in East Blue was Usopp. She remembered his mother dying when he was young, and she knew Kuro of the Thousand Plans would eventually infiltrate Kaya's mansion – unfortunately, it was difficult to calculate a precise timeline, and she could hardly justify sending revolutionary agents there without spilling the beans on the extent of her foreknowledge.
If I could at least leave the island, then I might be able to do something. Forge bonds early, help them grow stronger, anything… She lifted her gaze from the notes she'd been taking, letting it wander on the ocean spreading for miles before her. But I can't. I'm not strong enough to defend myself. And if word of my existence gets out, then Cocoyashi is as good as gone. Nami, Nojiko, Bellemere, all of the villagers, and Arlong and his crew, and even Miss Belo and her agents… No, I can't risk it. I can't risk them.
She looked back at her notes and heaved out a small sigh. In the end, even if she wanted to plan ahead, there was very little she could afford to do as she was.
I need to grow stronger, was the obvious conclusion she came to. After all, what can I bring to our crew, other than sheer power?
An idea suddenly popped into her head, and she jumped to her feet with a gasp.
"We need money!"
She could fight, but so could everyone else. But if there was one thing she could do that her future crewmates couldn't, it was to rack in the dough. They needed money for supplies, weapons, essentials, reparations, personal spendings… They found a way around in the original timeline, sure, but there was a distinct difference between living off of other people's gratefulness and having their own treasure to spend.
Alright! Until it's time to depart, I'll make enough to money to last every single crew member a lifetime! No, two lifetimes each! Money won't ever be a problem for the Straw Hats, no matter what!
Determined, she gathered her notes then promptly took off.
She had a lot of sidequests to get to.
Ok! There are three things to mention!
First, there's a distinction between "sidequests" and "subquests"! Sidequests are those that allow her to earn money, so the tangerines and the weeds and stuff like that, while subquests are the other ones!
Second, I've opened a fun little poll on my profile so if you have a minute to spare, feel free to participate and also share your thoughts directly via private messagin or reviews!
Finally, third.

My story has been plagiarized and posted on WebNovel by another user pretending to be the original author. They've only posted one chapter so far, but I refuse to let it go any further. I am PISSED. So please, if you have the time, PLEASE help me report the story and the user for plagiarized content. You can find it with this link: book/a-gacha-addict-in-the-one-piece-world_28671318608910905
If there's one thing I hate, it's plagiarism. What I hate even more is that people on this website can monetize the stories they post, so they don't give a shit about proper author's integrity so long as they can make money off their backs. I'm doing this for fun, because I want to share my stories - I will NOT stand for anyone stealing them. Thank you for supporting me in this endeavor.
Anyway, that's all for now. It'll take a few days before the next chapter goes out - I don't really feel like posting more until this particular issue has been sorted out. I thank you all for your understanding and continued support, though! I really appreciate it!
