Doll POV

Rush was thrown around like a rag-doll, and Clover was kicked into a rock, Cream is healing the two now. Anything we throw at it doesn't even do a thing, so I guess we're done. After a while of being tossed everywhere, Stel dug through her bag.

"Doll! Gem! Quickly, put these on!" She shouted before throwing something over to us. Mine was a necklace, and Gems was a bracelet. They were Mega Stones?!

"Don't know where you found these, but I'm not complaining!" I yelled before putting it on. Stel had a mega stone herself, which was also a necklace. The three of us Mega Evolved and faced the Chesnaught. It didn't waste time and tried attacking with Iron Tail, but Gem got in the way and blocked it with his giant gemstone. I went to slash at it, but the leaf on its arm turned into a small dome to protect it. Stel came around the other side and the same thing happened, which left it open for Gems Metal Burst. Chesnaught stumbled back and I took the chance to blast it backwards with Hyper Beam. When the dust cleared, its armour was cracked, but was slowly regenerating.

"Hey, if we keep attacking it nonstop, then it won't have enough time to regenerate, right?" I questioned while its armour went back to normal.

"Th-That might work." Gem said quietly. We didn't have anymore time to talk since the Chesnaught was charging a solar beam. Gem hid behind his gemstone as me and Stel jumped away. Once the Solar Beam hit the gemstone, it was reflected back and cracked its armour pretty bad. That's when we rushed in to attack. I used Giga Impact, Stel shot a Fire Blast, and Gem hit it with Mega Kick. After all that, the armour actually broke and a massive burn was on the Chesnaught's chest. It was pissed and the leaves on its arms changed into blades, it swung them around frantically. Stel's arm was sliced and I got a deep cut dangerously close to my eye, and we dodged the rest.

"The regeneration is focusing on the burn, we need to defeat it now." Stel was holding her bleeding arm as I wiped some blood off my face.

"Yeah, I'll make sure it's actually dead this time." I had a Shadow Claw at the ready. I flew at it, dodged a Focus Blast, and stabbed straight through its chest. I waited a moment before pulling my arm away, which was covered in blood. I turned to the rest after a while of it not moving. We all reverted to normal as I shook the blood off.

"Stel, where did you even get these?!" I shouted gesturing to the mega stones.

"I've been exploring ever since I was a child, and I've accumulated quite the collection of various items. These three are only a few of the Mega Stones I have." She replied with a small smile. We heard moving dirt, which caused me to sigh. We turned to the Chesnaught, who was barely even alive and trying its best to crawl over to us.

"Could you just give up already?! You have a giant hole in your chest!" I kicked it in the face and it almost bit me before finally just laying down and dying. Seriously, these guys are out for blood.

"It isn't Mega Evolution that caused the change in its form, but what could it be?" Stel questioned as we approached Cream and the other two, who are mostly fine.

"Dunno, but the two we fought yesterday didn't do it. Now that I think about it, they had red irises, and this guy had that, but also black eyes." I explained the probably meaningless information.

"The differences don't matter, we need to tell Gallade about this." Cream spoke up after she finished healing what she could.

"Yeah, but should we leave the body here?" They all stared at me.

"What?"

Gallade POV

"Alright, so you're telling me that those kids who fought Darkrai's goons went up against some aggressive regenerating Pokémon, and that the last one went through some fake Mega Evolution?!" Scizor shouted in confusion as Gothitelle failed to quiet him down. He opened his mouth again, but Gothitelle slapped her hand over it.

"That's enough out of you. Let him speak." She said sternly before slowly lowering her hand.

"I appreciate it. As I was about to say, I have a feeling foul play is at work here, so I've called someone to look at the body that was taken in." I told them. Lopunny crossed her arms.

"I'm guessing it's that scientist friend of yours." I nodded. Scizor scoffed.

"I want to punch that guy! He thinks he's better then me just because he knows some stupid-"

"So you'd punch me too?" Gothitelle cut him off.

"Wha- I- why do you always have to complicate everything I say?!" I decided to break it up before anything or anyone got broken.

"Stop it. Scizor, calm down. Gothitelle, don't egg him on." She nodded and Scizor just turned away in a huff. We set out for the east laboratory, where my old friend is currently working on that body.

Once we got there, someone came up to us and lead us to my friends room. I opened the door to see Grimmsnarl, who smiled at my entry.

"Gallade! I haven't seen you in quite awhile."

"Yeah. I've been pretty busy lately."

"We all have." We did a short handshake that we've done since childhood, it might seem stupid to some, but it just felt natural.

"Anyway, I presume you're here to see the results of our testing so far?" I nodded at the question.

"Don't you ever get mad at each other?" Scizor muttered while sitting against the wall. We ignored him and took a look at the information.

"We've identified some kind of liquid inside the veins, it can only be seen on a microscopic level, as the liquid has the same colour, texture and feel of blood." Grimmsnarl explained as he showed the difference on a microscope.

"Interesting, have you figured out what exactly it's made of?" Lopunny asked before he shook his head.

"We've only started research about two hours ago, and this is all we got so far."

"If you got that from two hours of work then I guess you're not so good aft-" Scizor couldn't finish as Gothitelle clamped his mouth shut with Psychic.

"Sorry about him, he doesn't have much up there." She said, gesturing to his head.

"What did I tell you?" I looked at her, I got a sigh before Scizor's mouth was unclamped.

"Well, I think we'll be going now, I'd hate for something to break because of these two." I said as Lopunny lead the other two out of the room.

"Alright, I'll see you soon, or not." Grimmsnarl replied, we shared a laugh before I took my leave.
