??? POV

I approached Darkrai, who only gestured for me to talk.

"Four Infected have been killed." I informed, though he only glanced at me and turned back to the town.

"Were any of them Mutated?" He spoke in a quiet voice, prepared for the answer.

"Thankfully, no. But I'm sure at least one would be capable enough to handle Gallade." I'd turned away myself, not even bothering to hear his reply.

"I think I'll send some after those kids you mentioned." I couldn't help but chuckle.

Frost POV

I didn't know why, but I sneezed. Probably inhaled some dust back there. Anyway, me and Marshadow are currently running across some rooftops while looking out for any of the feral Pokémon. Guess what we found a bit later. Yeah, a feral Pokémon, but it was a Golisopod, which shouldn't be all that hard compared to everything else around here. It was a bug type, and Marshadow can use fire punch, which meant it wouldn't last long. We confused it by zipping around while doing some damage before slashing its chest. Easy. The hard part was getting two Pokémon out of the collapsing building the thing was breaking down. We just barely got out by the time the building fell.

"Alright, we'll escort these two to safety and come back to deal with anymore of those guys." I said as we walked the Pokémon to safety. The duo was made up of a Maractus and Spinda, the Maractus kept asking about us being a rescue team.

"You're really fast, I bet that helps a lot! Did you just start as a rescue team? Because everyone should know about you!" She kept spouting out everything that came to mind, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't slightly annoyed by this. I almost thought about being attacked just so she'd shut up and hide... well, be careful what you wish for. I could only think of one thing after almost getting scorched.

"Shit."

Gallade POV

The tower on the south side of town was being occupied by a Talonflame and Galvantula. The latter blocking any entrance/exit with electric webs, while the former was busy blasting away anything that got near. Gothitelle pointed out that they seem to be working to defend the place, even while infected.

"You're right, but I doubt they are of higher intelligence, or just doing this cause they feel like it. I think a Pokémon has found a way to control them, and I think the source is in that building." I explained what was on my mind, to which Scizor blurted out his interpretation of what I just said.

"So we take out those two, get in, and destroy whatever is inside? Let's do it!" He said a little too loudly, alerting the Talonflame of our presence, as well as giving away our hiding spot.

"Way to go." Gothitelle hissed before we moved away from a fire ball which crashed down on where we once were. The attack went on until Scizor had lost his patience and thrown a chunk of stone at the bird Pokémon. The rock collided with it and even shattered upon impact, sending the Talonflame falling to the ground.

"You really didn't have to." I muttered as we checked it to see... something I'd rather not describe, I will only say that it wasn't a pleasant sight. We moved closer to the building and hid behind a large mound of rubble. The Galvantula was keeping an eye out for us, ready to attack. Gothitelle had simply pulled it towards us for an easy take down. We walked inside and saw that the place was completely fine, like nothing outside had happened.

"Guessing what we're looking for is on the top floor." Scizor spoke while we walked through the first floor. We arrived to an elevator, but I was hesitant about using it. If there's someone on the top floor, they'll definitely notice it coming up, so we took the stairs.

Frost POV

So now we've got to deal with a Volcarona? Great...

"This will be a challenging fight." I heard Marshadow mutter beside me. The Spinda and Maractus got behind cover as the Volcarona shot a Fire Blast at us. We both jumped out of the way, but Marshadow was caught in the bug's next attack, that being Fire Spin. I quickly ran over to him, though I was stopped as the area between us bursted into flames. Volcarona headed straight for me with Flare Blitz, which I almost noticed too late and just barely blocked it using Protect. I heard something from behind and ducked below an Aura Sphere, which hit the fire bug directly in the face. It was barely pushed back and didn't flinch, the attack only pissed it off. It backed off to use Gust, which put out the fire behind me, as well as the fire spin that Marshadow was stuck in. We were blown backwards, landing gracefully on our behinds.

"It seems that we are being pushed around."

"Marshadow, I swear to Arceus, stop stating the obvious."

"We should speak about this at a later time, the Volca-" He was cut off as he was hit by a Solar Beam. I hopped onto my feet and dodged the Fire Blasts being shot at me.

"The Volcarona's backed off and is now out of melee and icicle range, it's forcing us into a shootout." I thought for a second, thinking of a somewhat decent idea. Marshadow joined me and fired off a few Shadow Balls, which didn't hit their target.

"Marshadow, I'll get as close as I can and when I give the signal, you'll run over and I'll throw you upwards at it in order to hit it with all you've got, alright?" He nodded and got out of sight while I ran towards the Volcarona, countering anything it shot at me. I stood underneath it and used Protect to block its attacks.

"Marshadow!" I yelled, to which he used Agility and bolted towards me, briefly gaining the fire bug's attention. I held my hands low, which Marshadow stepped off of and into the air while I threw him up. He was in front of the Volcarona and was about to use Mega Kick... until a Hydro Pump blasted it into a pile of rubble before being blasted by multiple Dark Pulses.

"...guess you two didn't need help..?" I turned to the voice while Marshadow landed on his face.

"Hiya!"

"...hi..." Sylvee and Spec greeted us.

"What a great time to show up. So, where're the other two?" I replied as Marshadow walked towards the Volcarona to see if it was still kicking.

"They're helping everyone they can, we split up to help more Pokémon! When we saw you, we wanted to help!"

"...I still don't think they needed our help..."

"But we still helped!" The two bickered as Marshadow walked back over.

"The Volcarona was trying to fly away, but I finished it off." He said. I nodded and tried getting the other two to stop arguing. I heard the Maractus from earlier shout out behind their cover.

"Is it safe to come out now?"
