Taki POV
"Where is everyone?!" I asked while the four of us ran through the destroyed streets looking for the others.
"We don't know, that's why we're looking!" Jolt shouted back to me. I turned my head to stare at him.
"No shit, Sherlock!" I yelled back before the sound of a crumbling building floated down the street, causing us all to pause.
"You three heard that, right?" Lila asked from behind us, to which Jolt and Psych nodded. A few seconds passed by until a Krookodile shuffled out onto the road with some injuries healing themselves.
"That's definitely the fucker that caused it." I spoke quietly in order to avoid getting its attention, but it turned towards us regardless. We prepared for it to charge, but it instead threw a bunch of Sludge Bombs at us. Me and Jolt quickly jumped out of the way while Lila hid behind Psych, who tossed the Sludge Bombs out of the way with Psychic. Once we looked back to where the feral Pokémon was, it was gone, a hole where we saw it last.
"It burrowed into the ground, stay alert!" Psych shouted to us before closing his eyes. A second later, his eyes shot open and he pushed Lila away from him while backing up. The ground cracked and the Krookodile jumped out before lunging at Psych, who waved his arm in front of himself, but nothing happened.
"Psych!" Jolt yelled out as we ran to help, but we weren't fast enough as Psych's right arm was trapped in the Krookodile's jaws. Jolt used Thunder Wave on it, causing it to be paralyzed and let go of Psych's arm before I knocked it away with Mega Kick. Me, Jolt, and Lila quickly looked over Psych's arm. It looked completely crushed with blood spilling out of the large bite marks.
"T-That looks..." Jolt's words were caught in his throat, and I don't blame him.
"We need to get you out of here." Jolt stated before slowly picking Psych up.
"Me and Lila will take this guy, so you two can get out of here." I said, Lila nodding after my words. He muttered an 'alright' and began walking away, but they didn't get far as we were all caught in an Earthquake. I whipped around just in time to get smacked by an Aqua Tail, sending me crashing through the window into a destroyed store.
"Ugh... hurts like a bitch..." I muttered to myself, climbing back out a few seconds later. I saw Lila use Giga Drain on the Krookodile, seeming like it did quite a bit of damage while also pissing it off. I jumped in, grabbed Lila, and rolled out of the way as the ground behind us was broken into pieces. I quickly got up and stood in front of her, ready to counter the feral Pokémon's next attack. It hit me with Iron Tail, hurting a fuck ton, but I had Fire Blast to attack back. My Fire Blast knocked it over before it got back up and charged with its jaws open wide. I ran ahead and slid under it, kicking its lower jaw upwards with Blaze Kick before sliding behind it and slamming my fists down on its head, knocking it to the ground. Lila used a Swords Dance for her next move, just to make sure it's done, but the Krookodile got up much faster then we thought and hit her directly with Close Combat, sending her straight into a wall, knocking her out.
"You fucker!" I shouted, getting its attention before it could finish off Lila. It turned around and instantly sent me flying with Giga Impact. I landed on my stomach with bruises all over my body and blood dripping from my nose.
"You're not taking me out dickhead..." I muttered as it got closer, and closer. It thought I didn't have enough energy left to attack and went to grab me, but I smacked its hand away and blasted it to the left with Reversal, the attack hitting it in the side. It skidded across the ground before coming to a stop, where it stopped moving. I sighed and looked towards the others. Lila was still knocked out and Psych was sitting on the ground with Jolt making sure he wasn't hurt anymore then he already is. I closed my eyes and thought to myself.
"Our team almost taken out by a single Pokémon... pretty pathetic if you ask-" My thoughts were cut short by a presence looming over me, I turned to see the Krookodile about to bash my skull in, so I braced myself, closed my eyes, and clenched my teeth.
"At least I won't have to put up with Jolt's remarks." I thought before I felt something rush past my head. At first I thought the Pokémon missed, but a second later I heard a gargling noise and opened my eyes to see the Krookodile with a jagged piece of rock in its throat. I took my chance and used Overheat, torching the Pokémon, which fell to the ground, this time down for good.
"Y-You're welcome..." I turned to see it was Psych who spoke, he had his good arm slightly stretched with Jolt holding him up. I nodded.
"Yeah, thanks." I went over to pick Lila up and walk back to the other two. I looked to Jolt, who was the only one of us who had little to no injuries.
"Jolt, you go on ahead, I can take these two out of here." I said, which Jolt seemed hesitant on.
"But... n-never mind, I'll continue looking for them." He replied with a barely noticeable shake in his voice. I nodded and helped Psych up before walking off with them.

"Gallade and his team got out of that building." Heatmor stated, expecting an angry scowl from Darkrai, but to his surprise, Darkrai merely nodded.
"Of course they did, that wouldn't have been a satisfying way to be rid of them, right?" He asked, earning a nod from his henchman, who left the room shortly after. I stepped forward.
"Speaking of, I have a plan to take care of Gallade." I said, much to the interest of my accomplice.
"You don't say..." He hummed and gestured for me to continue, and continue I did.
"I happen to know the location of something, or should I say someone, that will attract Gallade no matter what, there I could gather the Mutated we have and finish them off quickly." As I finished, Darkrai wore a small grin, seemingly pleased with my plan, but he had something more to say.
"That does sound like a nice idea, though I have one question, who is this someone?"
