Cream POV
I've been walking for thirty minutes and I haven't found anything aside from more hallways. At this point, I just sat against a wall and stared into the fire in my hand.
"Marshadow has to save me now, he probably already found the exit... I really am just in the way..." I mumbled to myself, trying not to let any tears slip out.
"I shouldn't have come with him..." I wiped my face and almost let the fire go out. When I looked to my right, I saw a feint glow around the corner.
"Marshadow?" I asked aloud as I moved closer. I had my hopes up as I turned the corner, but was startled by a bolt of lightning barely missing my face. A small army of Joltik jumped at me, so I quickly turned and ran for my life.

Marshadow POV
"So her name is Cream, and she's an Alcremie... very creative." Serket said in a bored tone.
"I suppose it is strange. What is the meaning behind your name?" I asked, interested in his answer.
"It's something from before Humans died out. It was actually a god some of them worshiped, and it meant 'Scorpion' or something." I hummed in response. It has been a few years since I have heard any Pokémon speak of Humans, I thought that they had been completely forgotten. There was a second of silence before I noticed that Serket was no longer following me.
"Why have you stopped?" I asked, making him look at me and point down the corridor in front of himself.
"That." He simply said before I walked over and peered down the hall, seeing Cream running from a horde of Joltik.
"M-Marshadow!" She yelled as she grew closer. I ran down the hallway and grabbed her before turning and running back to the exit with Serket flying close behind. We had to dodge a few webs and Thunderbolts, but we managed to get to the exit. I ran up the slope and stopped after entering a new room, putting Cream down as Serket landed next to us. I looked back down to see the Joltik move away from the doorway and back into the maze-like cave.
"Uh... h-hi, I'm Cream." She introduced herself to Serket, who nodded.
"Yeah, I heard from this guy. I'm Serket." He stopped and pondered for a moment, looking between Cream and myself.
"So are you two a couple or something?" He asked, causing Cream's face to become bright red, and me to almost choke on my spit.
"W-What?! Of course not!" Cream yelled at him.
"Okay okay, was just curious." He replied, scratching his head. I cleared my throat, gaining their attention.
"Do not forget that we must get through the Hypno to leave." I reminded, making Cream turn white in the face, and Serket cursed under his breath.
"Oh yeah... well, at least I can pay it back for trapping me in that place for a fuckin week." He bashed his claws together before we walked further. The lamps lining the cold stone walls felt ominous, almost as if it was designed with the intention to unnerve any Pokémon that walks through. We stepped into a large room with a chandelier hanging on the ceiling.
"Where did it get that?" Cream asked, though I doubt we will get an answer to that question, as it is unimportant.
"That does not matter. Look, the entrance is blocked by a large boulder, but I do not see the Hypno any-" I was cut off as I started coughing uncontrollably.
"Are you oka-" Cream started coughing as well, and I then noticed what was happening. A barely visible purple gas was spreading throughout the room.
"It is using... Poison Gas..." I choked out through my coughing. Serket glanced around.
"Really? I don't feel poisoned. Actually, I feel better then before." His scratches disappeared as he breathed in the Poison Gas.
"Your... poison heal..." I began to lose my voice from the endless coughing. Serket and I then heard footsteps behind us and turned just in time to see the Hypno use Flash, blinding us.

Serket POV
I screeched as I was blinded by that damn Hypno. Stumbling backwards, I tripped and fell on my ass.
"Ugh!" I heard Marshadow groan in pain and tried backing up, but it was a hell of a lot harder when I couldn't see a thing. A few seconds later and I could see again. Marshadow was knocked out (or maybe sleeping) and lying on the ground, and that girl, Cream, was thrown against the wall by the bastard's Psychic. I stood up and glanced to the entrance.
"I could just get out of here, but that guy did help me... am I really gonna try and be a hero? I'm gonna regret this..." I thought to myself. Deciding to help, I flew over and Poison Stung the Hypno, poisoning it almost instantly.
"Like that? A taste of your own medicine!" I shouted at it, resulting in a Hyper Beam I only had a second to dodge. I tried flying above it, but my tail was caught in the attack, causing me to be flung backwards. It hurt like a bitch, but I clenched my teeth and flew back in. Dodging a Dazzling Gleam and a few Shadow Balls, I was able to get close enough to slash at it with X-Scissor, drawing quite a bit of blood. I grinned, but it was wiped off my face as I was immobilized.
"Why don't you just play fair instead of using this psychic shit?" I silently complained, but it looks like it heard what I said. It's eyes narrowed as it brought me closer to itself, getting a Psycho Cut ready.
"Well... shit, I knew this was a bad idea." I thought as I was inched closer. It swung its arm and I closed my eyes... but the attack never came. I opened my eyes to see the Hypno with leaves sticking into him, not enough to draw blood, but enough to hurt. I was dropped and looked over to see Cream charging a Solar Beam. I smiled and moved towards the Hypno. It looked up and tried an Ice Punch, but I grabbed its arm and bit into it with Thunder Fang, paralyzing it. I wiped my mouth after that, gagging a bit, before stepping back and going to check on Marshadow, hearing the beam being fired from behind me.
"Yo, you alive?" I asked as I shook him awake. He blinked and shook his head.
"Y-Yes, I'm-" Then he started coughing like crazy again, and I heard more of it coming from Cream, who walked up beside me.
"Pecha berries... in the bag..." She got out in her coughing fit. I nodded and opened the backpack on Marshadow's back, getting two Pecha berries and giving one to each of them. A few seconds later, and they're fine. Marshadow rubbed his neck before speaking, his voice sounding kind of raspy.
"Thank you. Now, let's get out of here."
