Kaiju Fighters Chapter 01
The sky was blood red, the ground was falling apart, forests burning, oceans boiling, and cities were turned into rubble.
This is a world that was once like our own.
Now it is dying.
What happened to this world? It was attacked. By what? The only thing anyone remembers is a shadow, a shadow that should never existed.
What is also remembered are the last few moments of this world.
Flying through the skies is a creature of tremendous size that resembles a giant moth. This being is known as Mosura, the guardian of peace. She is heading to her home, a distant island once called Infant Island.
As soon as the moth lands, she is in front of a shrine that the natives had built in her honor. Her attention is suddenly brought to a moth-like creature that is much smaller than her but bigger than most other moths. This one is called Fairy.
Fairy immediately brings Mosura to a scene not far from the shrine and sees what is there and lets out a loud cry. Right on the ground in front of her are two, lifeless bodies of women that were less than a foot tall. These two were among the last of their kind. Mosura had promised to protect them and the Earth.
She failed at both.
The guardian starts to glow and flies high up into the air. Deciding that this is the only way to save as many lives as possible.
An ancient ceremony that has only one chance of even working.

On another island, there is the last stand. Most of the beings here were creatures of titanic proportions often called kaiju, some who wanted to conquer, others who wanted to destroy, and a few who wanted to protect what is left of their home.
The bodies of these creatures lay on the ground almost lifeless. Giant spider that looked like it was crushed by someone's boot, a golden dragon that had three heads now only has one, and a machine with both of its arms torn off. Among the bodies, only two are left standing, a great shadow of destruction, and a dinosaurian-like beast. This creature stands over 300ft tall, covered in dark grey almost black scales, large plates going down its back. Given the title "King of the Kaiju". It was once thought to be the most powerful thing that ever existed. And now here it stands exhausted, beaten, and full of shame that he couldn't protect his home nor his friends. It was thought that this was the end of Gojira.
Gojira looked upon the shadow full of anger, hatred, and sadness. The last emotion being one that many people once thought impossible by the monster. Gojira decides that if he goes down, then he will go down fighting. His spines start glowing as his mouth is filled with blue colored light. Then, he runs toward the shadow with what is left of his strength. He no longer believes he could beat this thing anymore, but that does not mean he is going to stop trying.
However, before the King even reached the shadow, A bright light blinds Gojira and he blacks out.

When Gojira opens his eyes, he finds himself lying on soft green grass, looking at a peaceful blue sky, and surrounded by tall green trees. That's when he immediately knew something was wrong. The trees around him were far taller than he was. The only tree to match such height to him was the Tree of Life itself.
Gojira gets up on his feet, feeling a little bit different, he walks up to one of the trees and puts his claws on it. However, in place of a four-clawed hand is a pinkish five fingered hand of a human clad in leather fingerless glove. The kaiju king looks around frantically, seeing a small pond, he scurries towards the water, and kneels to look at his reflection. Instead of seeing a tyrannosaurus-like head covered in dark-gray scales, he sees the face of a human.
The kaiju king looks at the rest of his body. He can see that his appearance is that of a tall human male, with black hair, and green eyes. He is wearing a dark gray shirt with a black circle with three triangles going around the circle on it, dark blue jeans, and black leather boots.
"What on Terr—" Gojira threw his new hands over his maw or mouth, startled at the fact he had just spoken in the same tongue as the humans. He has no idea what happened to him or what is going on. He is simply confused.
Gojira then hears a small roar coming from the forest. He stands back and follows the sound to the edge of the forest and sees a two-wheeled metallic machine being ridden by a human that is a little bit shorter than him. Looking beyond that, he finds a sky scrapper. The Kaiju has seen many before that but none that towered over him as much as this one.
From the corner of his eyes, Gojira sees a sign informing him that he is now leaving a park. That is when the former dinosaur realizes that he is currently in a city.
While exploring, the Kaiju King felt weird. Being in a city surrounded by humans without them running away from him. Most of them just walk by, not even noticing him. Others gave him a bit of an odd look, but they still didn't run away.
As Gojira passes an alley, he catches a familiar scent. He turns back around to walk down the alley, knowing exactly who he is going to find. The former kaiju came to a corner, and just peeks around and finds at least eleven people.
Most of the people wore sweater jackets and ski masks. Four of them had stood out though. One of them is tall and thin wearing a long leather coat and a pair of sunglasses. The one next to him is shorter and wears a leather vest with a bandanna on his head. That one is holding a gun to the head of a woman wearing a police uniform.
The last being though is the one Gojira was looking for. A man shorter than the rest of them with dark brown hair on his head, some hair on his face like five o'clock shadow, and purple eyes. He wears a light brown t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and a dark brown leather vest. What really caught the kaiju king's eyes is the fact this one has spikes coming from his back, shoulders, and his forearms, and a small horn sprouting from the tip his nose.
"Come on, let the nice lady go like the good human you are," the spiked one spoke with a deep voice.
The tall one then replies, "Sorry, but the girl here is a cop and I'm a gang leader. Letting her go is bad for my image," he says with a smile. "You on the other hand could be useful. How about you join me? I can give you money, power, whatever you need."
The spiked one smiles, "I really hate to turn that kind of offer down, but I have this thing called loyalty and I was already hired to help the lady bring you in."
"Oh well. Guess that means I'm just gonna have to kill you both. Get him boys!" the gang leader gives the order as they surround the spiked one.
That is when Gojira decides to come out of hiding. "You never could back down from a fight, Anguirus." Anguirus turned around and went wide-eyed.
"I don't believe it! Gojira, is that you?"
"Bet your hide it is," even though his face does not show it, Gojira is glad to find someone he is familiar with.
The gang leader then states "I'd really hate to break up this reunion, but I do have a job to finish."
Looking around, Gojira sees that he and Anguirus are surrounded. Ten to two. Doesn't seem like much of a fair fight. For them anyway.
"You might as well surrender. You're out match," Gojira tells them while generating an intimidating vibe.
This causes the Leader to chuckle, "What are you talking about there is only two of you?"
"Exactly."
Suddenly, two of the gang members charge them at once. Gojira just dodges one, grabs the other, and throws him into two others. Two more come at the former kaiju and he just grabs them to slam their heads together.
Anguirus seems like he was having fun as he headbutts the first guy that walked up to him. That one hit knocked the guy out. The second guy swings a four-foot-long chain towards Anguirus, and it wraps around his left arm. The former kaiju smiles as he grabs the chain with the same and pulls it towards himself with the thug still hanging on. The said thug soon blacks out after his face meets a mean right hook.
One more tries to sneak up on Gojira with a metal bat. He knows it's coming. When the gang member goes to swing it into his head, in one swift movement Gojira turns around, catches the bat, and crushes it in his hand. The gang member's eyes widen just before Gojira knocks him out. The King then faces the last grunt who is holding a metal pipe. The grunt looks between his weapon and Gojira. Then, he drops the pipe and runs out of the alley.
Gojira and Anguirus turn to the short one holding the girl. He seemed frightened at what he witnessed.
Anguirus smirks as he begins to talk. "Okay, let's try this again. I believe I said let the lady...," he takes in a deep breath. Gojira covers his ears knowing exactly what is going to happen. "GOOOOOO!" Anguirus lets out with a loud roar, blowing the gang member into a brick wall.
The gang member did get back up, but he ran away screaming.
The kaiju king looked around for the leader but did not see any sign of him. He does notice the woman getting up though. She walks over to them. The woman has short black hair and bright blue eyes.
"Thank you, not sure what would have happened if you didn't show up," she thanks him before turning to the spiked kaiju. "Ang, aren't you going to introduce me to your friend here?"
"Sure thing, Kimiko. This here is Gojira, perhaps the strongest kaiju to ever exist," Ang reaches up to give his friend a pat his shoulder.
"Nice to meet you, Gojira. I'm Officer Kimiko," she bows.
"Same here, Kimiko," Gojira replies.
"Good to see not all kaiju are as disrespectful as Ang here," she says jokingly while gesturing to Anguirus.
As a response, Ang says. "In my defense I was having a bad day."
"It was more than enough for me to use a taser," the human had an annoyed tone.
Gojira raised a brow at the comment.
"Now, if I may be excused? I need to call in a pickup for these criminals. Come by the station tomorrow for your check," Kimiko tells them just before stepping about six feet away from the others as she pulls out a radio.
Gojira turns to his friend. "Where on Terra are we, and why do we appear human?"
"We're in Tokyo, Big Guy," he answers honestly. "I can't say anything about being human though," he shrugs. "All I know is that one moment I was a giant dinosaur then a bright light flashed before my eyes and then I woke up as this," Ang gestures to his entire body.
"Really? This is Tokyo? Never thought I'd see it like this," Gojira says, being both amazed and confused. Just then Kimiko walks back over.
"They said that it would be at least ten minutes before they get here," she tells them just before the kaiju king hears a click. At that moment, he moves as fast as he can, shoving Kimiko out of the way. There is a loud bang and Gojira feels a sharp pain in his arm. Looking at it, he can see he is bleeding. Right there across from him stands the Gang Leader with a gun pointing at them.
"How DARE you!" Gojira snarls with anger. He is so enraged that he considers incinerating him with his atomic blast. "I am Gojira! King of all Kaiju! I will tear you—" Just then something or someone falls out of the sky, landing on the Gang Leader.
Looking at the guy who is just sitting there, you can see that he is wearing a yellow t-shirt, a brown tracksuit, a pair of goggles around his neck, and some brown cleats. He has brown hair and green eyes. What was unusual about him was his brown scaly wings. Gojira knew immediately who it was.
Gojira, Anguirus, and Kimiko spoke in unison. "Show off."
"Is that what I get for saving you?" the winged guy asks.
Gojira growls. "Rodan, you know I could have taken him on my own," he feels insulted that his friend thought he needed defending.
"Sorry," Rodan then looks at the woman. "Do I at least get a kiss from my favorite officer?"
Kimiko looks at the ground and picks up the gun the Gang Leader dropped. She checks the ammo. "Still has four shots left."
He raises his arms in defense while backing away, "Okay, okay, I get it. Just put it down."
Kimiko then turns to the King "Gojira, you're hurt!" she looks at him in worry.
Gojira looks back at his arm and sees the blood trickling down from the wound. "It's nothing, I've had worse."
"It should still be bandaged," she takes a ski mask off one of the gang members, tears it up, goes over to Gojira, "Let me take care of that for you," and the human begins wrapping it around his wound.
Gojira just stood there as she covered his wound. After she had finished, he just stared at her for a while.
"Um, thanks," he eventually tells her, unsure about the kindness of a human. It's the first time he felt it since his mother.
"Well as I said, backup will be here soon, and I know how you guys don't like the publicity. So, you better get going," Kimiko then turns around to leave. "Oh! I almost forgot," she stops to take out a note, and hands it to Anguirus. "There was a message left for you at the office," then she went to the end of the alley to wait for back up.
Anguirus starts reading.
"Dear Anguirus, I have been looking for you and the others for a while now. I wish for you to come and meet with me at this address. From your friend…MOSURA!" Gojira and Rodan both flinched at his sudden outburst.
"Dude! Mosura's here too?" the former pterosaur unknowingly shouted as his ears are still ringing.
"Seems like it, do you think she knows what's going on?"
"I'd bet my tail on it," Gojira says before glancing behind him. "That is, if I still had one."
"Let's go before other humans show up," Rodan suggests. "I hate it when they stare at my wings."
As they head their way out of the alley, Gojira stops and looks back at the Gang Leader. He was out cold from being used as a landing pad. His sunglasses were lying right beside his head. The Kaiju King picks them up and sits them over his eyes. He also takes the long coat, puts it on, and rolls up the sleeves.
NOTE: This is actually my first FanFic and a bit of a passion project. It's basically the Kaiju turned into superheroes and villains. This one actually has the most chapters already written up out of all my projects. Just needs some revisions.
NOTE 2: This one is focused mostly on the Toho Kaiju that follows a timeline an amalgamation of the Showa, Heisei, and Millennium Era. Various events from the films will be mentioned. Now, there are some ideas for other films and franchises that will be revealed later on.
