Part 4

I know it's been a while since I last released a new chapter but I had writers block, fortunately I am back now! So here's chapter 4!

It was 4AM, and everyone was sleeping in their tents. Katie & Sadie, and Duncan & Courtney's tents were gone now too. It was quiet, until Chris walked outside holding a megaphone.

''CAMPERS! It's time to wake up!'' Chris shouted.

All contestants woke up in shock and annoyance. ''Ugh, what does he want now?'' Gwen complained. ''I don't know, I guess we'll see.'' Trent answered.

After a few minutes no one got out of their tents yet so Chris had to get the megaphone again. ''YOU GUYS BETTER WAKE UP NOW!''

A while later the contestants came out of their tents and got ready in the bathroom. ''I wonder what todays challenge will be.'' Gwen said. ''I hope it wont be too dangerous or anything.'' Trent answered.

A few minutes later everyone was standing in a line on the dock, for Chris to explain todays challenge. ''So, campers. Todays challenge will be a long one.'' Chris started. The campers exchanged nervous looks. ''This challenge isn't an original one, though it will have some unexpected twists and turns.'' Chris said.

''Each duo will get a vehicle of their own choice. But be fast; once all vehicles are chosen, you may or may not be stuck with the worst one.'' Chris said teasingly. ''You will be driving for 10 hours to the airport on the other side of Canada, and I will be following you with my helicopter to keep an eye on you.'' Chris explained. Then Sierra raised her hand. ''Yes, Sierra?'' Chris asked. ''Neither me nor Cody have our divers license!'' Sierra said. Chris gave them a dirty look. ''that's weird; 33 years old and still no drivers license? Whatever, I don't care. If you crash it isn't my fault!'' Chris said holding the insurance papers.

They all walked over to the range of cars Chris had provided for them. ''Okay, every duo can choose a car…. NOW!'' Chis shouted. The contestants ran over like crazy to the vehicle they wanted. Tyler without hesitation ran to the sportscar. Gwen and Trent chose the mini cooper, Geoff and Bridgette chose the school bus, Sierra and Cody chose the two-seater car, and Beth and Harold were left behind with a rotten, old car from the 80s.

They all went to the start place and lined the cars up in a row. ''Last but not least, campers, I'm giving every duo a paper with the directions on it. If you lose it or anything, then you probably wont make it.'' Chris said grinning as he handed out the papers. ''Okay, three, two, one, GO!'' Chris shouted trough the speakers. All cars started off strong, even he old 80s car that Beth and Harold had.

As Chris said, this challenge did indeed have some unexpected surprises for them in store. Bombs started to explode around the cars. ''What's happening?'' Lindsay asked a little scared. ''I don't know…'' Tyler murmured. Even though Lindsay was still mad with Tyler, she had to do the challenge with him anyway. Lindsay was pretty quiet, not wanting to talk to Tyler. Tyler noticed this. ''Hey Linds, why are you so quiet?'' Tyler asked. Lindsay gave Tyler a dirty look. ''Why are you even asking? Don't you remember what happened last challenge?'' Lindsay said irritated. Tyler went quiet.

Meanwhile Gwen and Trent were going strong, taking the lead. ''This mini cooper can drive faster than I thought.'' Trent said surprised while driving the car. Gwen nodded. ''I believe we actually have a chance to win!'' Gwen said looking at the rest of the cars.

Geoff and Bridgette were riding the school bus, so they couldn't go as fast. ''Such a dumb thing of you to choose such a long vehicle, now we can't drive faster!'' Bridgette said madly. ''It's not my fault there were no other better vehicles left!'' Geoff argued. Bridgette sighed. ''What if we drive faster? Would it really be that bad?'' Bridgette said. Geoff shook his head. ''I'm not gonna take any chances.'' He said.

Sierra and Cody were in the two-seater car. It didn't drive very fast, but it did its job. ''Drive faster!'' Sierra said. ''It wont go any faster than this, Sierra!'' Cody shouted back. They got into an argument, and wasted time parking the car somewhere to switch places. Sierra got in the drivers seat and Cody into the passenger seat. Sierra started the car fastly and drove as fast as she could to reach up to the other campers.

Meanwhile Beth and Harold were up far behind, with their car from the 80s. ''How are we ever going to win like this?'' Beth wondered. ''We'll see, who knows what luck we may get further on.'' Harold said. ''I honestly don't even think so anymore.'' Beth said sighing.

It's been 4 hours since they started driving, and they were almost half way. Some campers decided to look for a place to stay the night.

Tyler parked the sportscar at a small, empty parking lot, away from all the hustle and bustle of the day. Lindsay immediately opened the door and stepped outside for some fresh air. She stretched and yawned, and after sat back down in the car. ''Linds, can't you forgive me? Please?'' Tyler asked. ''Uhh, no, because what you did could have been deadly!'' Lindsay snapped. ''I know, but I can make it up to you.'' Tyler said, almost pleasing. ''Make up for an almost death? Excuse me?'' Lindsay said, crossing her arms. ''We need to have a good conversation before anything else!'' Lindsay said strictly. ''I know, I know… it'll be a long time before you'll trust me again, but I'll do everything in my power to do so.'' Tyler said, determined. Lindsay sighed and said something. ''We need to get some food, I'm starving.'' Lindsay said. ''Okay, we can go to that nearby grocery store.'' Tyler suggested. ''We haven't got any money.'' Lindsay sighed annoyed. This conversation went on for some more time, and in the end they decided to not have any food at all, so they just lowered their seats and fell asleep.

Meanwhile Geoff and Bridgette parked their school bus at the side of the road for the night. They knew it was dangerous and illegal, but they didn't have any other choice. ''Where should we sleep tonight? Just on the bus seats?'' Bridgette asked. Geoff nodded. ''There's nowhere else, so I suppose it's the best.'' He said. Bridgette sat down on one of the bus seats. ''These seats are so uncomfortable!'' She complained. ''I know, but we haven't got anything else at the moment. So this will have to do.'' Geoff said, sighing slowly.

Gwen and Trent parked their mini cooper at a public parking lot. Trent looked at the dashboard and sighed. ''What's wrong?'' Gwen asked. ''The cars fuel needs to be filled.'' Trent said. ''And that costs money, which we don't have.'' Trent said. ''Oh yeah… but Chris didn't tell us about that or anything.'' Gwen said. ''So I guess we should just keep driving to the airport until the car stops, and then its Chris' task to come and get us.'' Gwen said. Trent nodded in agreement. ''Let's just get some shut-eye now, so we'll have enough energy to drive for 6 hours long tomorrow.'' Gwen said, resting against the seat. ''Yeah, it'll be a long day tomorrow, and I also wonder what we will need to do at the airport.'' Gwen nodded and then chuckled. ''I bet he's just gonna send us back once we get there.'' Gwen said. Trent chuckled and soon they fell asleep.

Cody parked his and Sierra's 2-seater tiny car. He sighed when he took the keys out of the vehicle. ''I'm exhausted, and we aren't even halfway yet!'' Cody said. ''Just go to sleep Codykins and tomorrow I'll drive!'' Sierra said, hugging Cody so tightly is was painful. ''O-okay, you can let go of me now…'' Go said. Just a few minutes later they both fell asleep.

Beth and Harold parked the slow driving car in a small parking lot. ''So, I suppose we should get food now, huh?'' Beth said. ''We may not have any money, but I did bring food myself. Harold said getting some burritos from his pockets. ''Really? How smart!'' Beth said excitedly, eager to eat some food after what felt like an eternity. They both ate an burrito and fell asleep after.

The night went on fast, even though it was dark and cold outside. Just 6 more hours left until they would reach the finish line, aka the airport.

I will put this story it 2 parts as I think it will be fairly long and it will also be easier to read I feel like. So stay tuned for part 2 soon!
