Chapter 2 The Truth
"So this is Earth." Mundi said looking at the City of New York.
"Yeah. May not be as advanced as places like Coruscant but it's home." David said seeing the news spread of the alliance between Earth and the Republic because of SHIELD.
It's been a week since the whole invasion of Naboo and things had taken a seriously interesting turn.
Earth was now officially part of the Republic and spreading across this galaxy for a unified existence.
SHIELD was no longer just a one planet organization but a two galaxy wide operation still led by Fury but now had more higher ups to keep things in check.
And now the Jedi were on Earth to establish a point of command for their operations.
Now they had more power in their activity and even members were fully part of SHIELD.
Right now though
Sean was getting checked out again with a sigh of annoyance.
"Not a fan of medical check ups I take it." Dooku said.
"This is so pointless. I heal fast. Only reason Sidious injured me was because I was still recovering from the bomb." Sean said making him chuckle.
"Better to be safe than sorry my young friend." Dooku said.
"True enough. So, how does it feel knowing you're going to be the commanding authority of the Jedi in this galaxy?" Sean asked.
After deliberating on who should be in charge of the Jedi here they elected Dooku since he had warned them beforehand about the Sith returning only to be ignored.
Now they realized they needed to take things far more seriously if they wanted to combat the Sith and HYDRA who were still missing.
"I feel proud knowing the Jedi are at last taking things serious and making a difference with SHIELD." Dooku said before they left.
Arriving at the main office they found Fury and Mace talking.
"There you are." Fury said.
"Whats going on?" Sean asked.
"We're heading to the Triskelion. Time to show our main base of operations." Fury said.
"Good." Sean said as he and Dooku left.
"And where you found them is there?" Mace asked.
"The Lab? Yeah. And they know. Never really cared. We had it moved immediately after we found them." Fury said.
Later
Arriving at the Triskelion the Jedi saw various agents of different fields.
"I thought SHIELD was mostly military." Mundi said.
"Hardly. There are several fields from field ops to science fields to strategics and so on. We cover all fields." Coulson said
"SHIELD was founded in 1945 almost 70 years ago. By them." Fury said showing three photos on the wall of two men and one woman.
"Who are they?" Anakin asked.
"The founders of SHIELD. Chester Phillips, Howard Stark and Peggy Carter." Garret said.
"I assume all three are long gone." Kenobi said.
"The first two are. Carter is in a retirement home. All of this was possible...Because of him." Fury said pointing to a statue of a man with a shield.
"Who is that?" Koth asked curious.
"Captain Steven Rogers. AKA Captain America. He was the one who brought the fight to HYDRA during WW2. He died saving all of New York from his mad plans. That Shield of his was a symbol of his." Sean said.
"Hence the name SHIELD." Mace said in understanding.
"What happened to him?" Anakin asked.
"We don't know really. He crashed somewhere in the Atlantic." Coulson said.
"And the Leader of HYDRA during that time?" Mundi asked.
"Red Skull? Don't know. But he never showed up again so we assumed he died." Garret said.
While Sean led Anakin away from everyone else Fury was taking them to where the Lab was.
"Just a bit of warning...There is also something else in here you might not like." Fury said opening a security door.
Inside they found a lab of advanced technology seeing large containers of yellow liquid.
"Wait a moment. This is old Sith Tech." Adi said.
"You sure?" Fury asked.
"I recognize it from the archives only...It looks more advanced than it should." Adi said looking around before seeing one of the containers and winded her eyes.
Two little girls inside.
Instincts made her pull out her lightsaber.
"HEY DON'T!" Garret yelled stopping her. "We don't know what will happen if we release them early." Garret said.
"Early?" Mace asked before seeing a timer on the bottom.
"Best we can tell is someone put a timer on these things before letting them out." Coulson said.
"Is that what happened when you found them?" Plo asked.
"Three days after we found them five years ago. Turok came out out three months ago." Fury said.
"But if this is Sith Tech how did it end up here?" Coulson asked.
"Maybe they ended up here the same way you did in ours." Tiin said.
"I don't think so. Cause if there were Sith here they would have tried to conquer the planet but theres nothing close in legends about people with lightsabers or anything." Fury said before one of the machines started activating before a hologram appeared of someone the Jedi knew.
"Ah, Master Jedi."
"Darth Malgus." Mace said narrowing his eyes.
"Oh boy." Coulson said pulling out a gun as did the other SHIELD agents.
"Calm yourselves." Malgus said.
"How are you still alive?" Mundi asked.
"I'm not. I copied my mind and memories into this machine when we created the Children." Malgus said.
"You made them? How?" Mace asked.
"First you have to understand theres a delicate situation here. We didn't create them to conquer this galaxy or ours. We created them...To save the universe. From something far worse than the Sith ever could be." Malgus said shocking them before the Jedi deactivated their lightsabers.
"Whats going on?" Mace asked.
"Have you ever heard of Infinity stones?" Malgus asked.
"No...Thats a subject I know nothing of." Mace said.
"I suspected as much. We discovered them several years before we disappeared. Found one known as the Time stone. It showed us the future and possible events." Malgus said.
"These Infinity stones what are they?" Dooku asked.
"When the Universe was born...Six elemental crystals came to be. Each one holding an essential aspect of existence. Reality, Space, Time, Power, Mind and Soul. One alone is enough to conquer an entire planet." Malgus said.
"All six and I'd bet you could do anything." Garret said.
"Indeed. And that is the problem." Malgus said.
"I'm not following." Mace said.
"Using the time stone we looked into the future...And saw chaos...Because someone intends to use all six stones...to wipe out half of all life in the universe." Malgus said shocking them.
"For what purpose?" Adi asked skeptical.
"His name is Thanos. From a now dead planet. Thanos's people faced overpopulation and it dried up their resources. He offered a solution." Malgus said.
"Genocide." Fury said.
"But random. Dispassionate for Rich and Poor like. They called him a madman. In the end his prediction of their destruction came to pass." Malgus said.
"So now he believes that all other worlds will face the same problem." Mundi theorized.
"In some ways he's not wrong. Too many people will dry up resources." Malgus said.
"So he wants to use all six stones to balance that number out." Mace said.
"Yes...But it will create chaos instead. Several leaders in governments were killed and without leaders." Malgus said.
"Full scale chaos." Coulson said.
"So you want to prevent that." Plo said.
"We originally set out to find all six stones and destroy them. We found five...The Sixth was beyond our reach because of the requirements it needed to obtain it. So we used the Time stone to think of other possibilities...Nothing worked. Then Darth Marr came up with an idea." Malgus said.
"You created Sean and the others with powers and abilities of several individuals of the present and past." Fury said.
"Exactly...But they aren't just children. Their bloodlines of us." Malgus said.
"So each of them have different parents." Coulson said.
"Sean and David are my blood...As are the Twins." Malgus said.
"What about the others? Turok, Julia and Reznov?" Garret asked.
"Turok is Darth Marr's bloodline. Julia is Darth Acina's daughter. And Reznov is Darth Krovos's son. though his DNA was altered to be Human for more possibilities since it turned out humans of this world had more potential than anywhere else in the universe." Malgus said.
"Why can't we just talk to Thanos. I'm sure he's not beyond reason." Koth said.
"He is. After all...Even as we speak he's wiping all half of the population of world by world in his views of creating balance. And even if the Jedi as a whole were to engage him...You would lose. Even if the Sith empire and Jedi order during the days of the Old Republic joined forces...It would not be enough." Malgus said.
"Thats a scary thought." Coulson said.
"Where do Sean and the others fit into this?" Fury asked.
"Marr came up with the idea of creating them with powers and abilities of several individuals of the past and present...To fight against him in the future...And using the time stone...It showed the best chance of success compared to other strategies we thought of using the time stone. We even considered annihilating his home planet before he was born...His family would survive...And he would still be on the path he is on today. Nothing would change the course of this." Malgus said.
"Hmm. Troubling this development is." Yoda said.
"I understand you are...Hesitant to believe me. But I do speak truth. Because if this event does indeed come to pass...In years to come it will lead to unrepairable chaos...And eventually life as you know it will end. That is the blunt truth of this crisis." Malgus said.
"Mmm. We need to proceed with caution. Is there anything else you can tell us?" Mace asked.
"I left behind many things other than the children. Each of them posses powers and abilities that have yet to be unlocked." Malgus said.
"What about the Twins?" Adi asked looking at them.
"They won't be released for another five years. The machine takes time to adjust the powers inside them and when to unlock them. If you release them now they will die." Malgus said.
"What else did you leave behind?" Fury asked.
"Schematics for other weapons and machines...Such as the Star Forge." Malgus said.
"The hell is that?" Garret asked.
"It's an ancient factory found during the days of the old Republic. Revan and Malek when they were still Jedi found it and used it to make a massive fleet." Mundi said.
"It's uses Energy from the sun to make Matter." Dooku said.
"Thats something we could use. But I Imagine it's gonna take a long time to build." Coulson said.
"Not unnecessarily. Other Schematics were found for building droids that could in truth help build the forge at a much faster rate." Malgus said showing them.
"This Thanos person...When can we expect to encounter him?" Dooku asked.
"I can't say for certain. Time is never set in stone. It could be years, Decades, Months. But you will encounter him...And he will be coming for those stones." Malgus said.
"Where are the stones?" Fury asked.
"Scattered. Before our time came to an end we scattered them after using them to help empower the children for the fight against him. They became scattered across this galaxy." Malgus said.
"And the Sixth is beyond his reach." Mundi said.
"No. He has the means to acquire it...We did not. Because it requires a sacrifice." Malgus said.
"What kind of sacrifice?" Mace asked.
"In order to acquire the Soul stone...You must sacrifice the thing you love most...A loved one...We obviously did not have that." Malgus said.
"And obviously we're not willing to do the same." Coulson said.
"Where is it exactly?" Plo asked.
"It's best you don't know since odds are Thanos could use you to find it." Malgus said.
"I agree." Fury said.
"I also left behind other information on planets here that could prove useful with materials you'll need. As well as other planets to become allied with in the near future." Malgus said.
"Why are you willing to help us?" Mace asked.
"I'm not. My intentions are simple. To keep the Galaxy free of the Chaos Thanos would cause as it suits neither Sith nor Jedi. And it would lead in irreversible harm. That benefits no one. Not even the Sith." Malgus said.
"I understand." Fury said as his hologram ended. "Regardless of his allegiance in the past we cannot ignore this warning. No matter what." Fury said.
"Reluctantly I also agree." Mace said.
Meanwhile
Sean was with Anakin in the break room watching TV.
"You watch too much TV." David said walking in.
"Says the guy who watches every Jeopardy episode." Sean said making Anakin chuckle while he scoffed in amusement.
"I'm gonna head out." Sean said leaving.
As he walked out he saw his father and the others walk out of the room as David walked out.
"You know they have kept us out of that room for years. And never once have we ever seen whats inside." Sean said.
"You wanna look inside?" David asked amused making him smirk before activating camouflage and moved to the door.
Fury walked into the break room seeing Anakin alone.
"Wheres Sean and David?" Fury asked.
"They just left." Anakin said making him frown accessing security footage seeing them cloak and sighed.
"Knew we couldn't keep this a secret from them forever." Garret said.
"You never showed them?" Mace asked.
"Nope. They knew but they've never actually seen it." Fury said leaving.
Meanwhile
Sean and David phased through the security door before seeing the lab.
"Whoa." David said looking around seeing the place.
Sean looked around before spotting the twins making him frown not seeing a light behind him.
"I have longed to see you both out of these chambers." Malgus said making their armor appear aiming him.
"Who are you?" David asked making him chuckle.
"Now is that anyway to speak to your father?" Malgus asked making them pause lowering their weapons.
"Your...Our Father? Who are you?" Sean asked.
"I am Darth Malgus." Malgus said.
"You seriously expect us to believe a man who's from another galaxy made us?" David asked skeptical.
"I think you'll find not everything is as difficult as you'd imagine." Malgus said as Sean's armor vanished as did David's.
"How did you end up here?" Sean asked.
"By chance of a wormhole. We discovered this new galaxy. Admittedly we originally wanted to conquer it. To bring our empire here where there was no Jedi or Republic to stand in our way. However...We discovered something interesting before that." Malgus said.
"Like what?" David asked.
"Stones of great power called infinity stones. Each one is enough to conquer an entire planet. We found one called the Time stone...And looked into the future with it." Malgus said.
"You were gonna use it to predict every battle against the Republic and Jedi." Sean said.
"Very true. But...We had discovered a horrifying future...Not caused by us but another who's actions would effect the entire universe. His name was Thanos. And he wanted to acquire all six stones." Malgus said.
"For what purpose? Rule the universe?" David asked.
"Not quite. He wants to wipe out half of all life. Reason being is he believes he is saving the universe in doing so." Malgus said.
"How does that save the universe?" Sean asked skeptical.
"On his world they faced overpopulation which dried up resources. He offered a solution to prevent destruction." Malgus said.
"Genocide." David said.
"But random. Dispassionate to rich and poor alike. They called him mad. In the end his prediction came to pass." Malgus said.
"So now he thinks the universe will face the same problem as a whole." Sean said.
"Exactly. Even with the massive army he has built he can't do what he set out to do. So he seeks the more easy path." Malgus said.
"With all six stones he can do just that." David said.
"Knowing we had to change this we had sought out all six stones...But only found five. Power, Reality, Space, Time and Mind. The Soul stone was beyond our reach. Knowing we couldn't stop we thought of various plans and used the time stone to see if they would succeed." Malgus said.
"They didn't...None of them did." Sean said.
"Not a single one that was available to us...Until...Darth Marr came up with an idea. What if we could create those who could fight against him in the future? Children who's power could rival an infinity stone and Thanos...Together?" Malgus asked.
"So you all made us." David said.
"Yes. You two and the Twins in there are my blood. Turok is Marr's blood. Each of you are the blood of the most powerful Sith during our time. Before our time came we scattered the stones across the galaxy knowing full well Thanos would find them here. It was to give you time." Malgus said.
"How long till...We meet him?" Sean asked.
"I don't know. Time is never set in stone for most cases...For this though you will meet him in the future. That is certain." Malgus said.
Later
"That was a lot to take in." Sean said sitting in front of his father.
"Didn't wanna tell ya till you were older. But I guess now's better than later." Fury said.
"So...How we gonna handle this? SHIELD's good...But not that good to stop someone like that." Sean said.
"Dooku said he knows people to make an army for us to add to our numbers. And because of you and your team...Our numbers are increasing and Valorum has started a recruitment bill to rebuild a grand army which SHIELD will be in control of. As for other worlds...We'll have to start building up numbers." Fury said.
"I feel like things are going to get complicated but not because of Thanos...Something feels off. Zemo and Strucker gone...Something doesn't feel right." Sean said.
"You think theres another Sith Lord pulling the strings." Fury said.
"Yeah...Since who was Palpatine's master? I feel like whoever it was...Is even more dangerous than Sidious could be in his prime." Sean said.
Author's Note: Oh boy. Yeah I bet none of you were expecting that. Darth Malgus being Sean and David's father and him and the Sith of Old making them to fight against Thanos to stop him from wiping out half of all life in the universe. Even the worst when seeing a terrible future can change their ways to stop said future from happening. Now Next Chapter we head for a planet facing off an enemy from underground.
