"It's a new year," Louise says, leaning back against the entrance to Luke's hideout.
"Yes it is," he says, tapping his fingers against the touchpad keyboard of his equipment. "I've been thinking it's time for a change."
She quirks an eyebrow at him. "Do tell."
He hums. Turns to look at her. "I think it leaves our digidestined vulnerable, the way we're doing things right now."
She hums. "I can't disagree," she says. "Never felt like my place to comment, however, since you're much more experienced than I am in all of this. What are you considering?"
Luke taps his fingers against his forearm, staring ahead at the screens. "I think if we could figure out a way to connect all of the digiports so the wrestlers can travel to the digiworld without needing to split them and their missions up, it will be safer for them all. But it'll require some work on the digiports. Do you want to help me try to figure this out?"
"Yes," Louise says. "I have some ideas of how we can make it work. I'll been thinking about it for awhile, but I wasn't sure how to suggest it to you."
"Well, tell me," Luke says. "I'm willing to take any and all suggestions." He turns towards her. "I've been doing all I can to keep from leading us into something else like the Dark Ocean situation."
She nods. "Well, I was thinking..." As she settles in across from him, he listens to her idea, a thoughtful look on his face.
Things were about to change, and he just hopes that they make things easier for the digidestined groups.
