Potter Manor
The storm outside was raging, its anger mirroring the turmoil in the Potter house. Lily Potter lay on the bed, her once lively eyes now dark with pain. James, his usual confidence shattered, was holding Lily's hand tightly, tears streaming down his face. "Stay with me, Lily," he begged, his voice cracking with emotion.
Lily just smiled weakly, her voice barely a whisper. "I love you, James," she murmured, her gaze shifting to their newborn son lying in her arms.
James' heart sank as he watched Lily's strength diminish with each passing moment. Charlus and Dorea turned to Potter, their faces filled with grief and despair. "Please do something," James begged, his voice shaking.
Charlus stepped forward, his expression hard with resignation. "James, son, sometimes... there's nothing we can do," she said softly, her voice thick with grief.
Dorea approached Lily's bedside, gently combing a lock of hair from Lily's sweat-damp forehead as tears streamed down her cheeks. "You fought so bravely, Lily," he whispered, his voice choked with emotion.
Lily's breaths became shallow, her strength drained. She managed to speak once more, her voice barely audible over the storm. "Take care of her... James," she breathed, her hand trembling as she reached out to touch her husband's face one last time.
James leaned down and placed a tender kiss on Lily's forehead, tears falling down her pale cheeks. "I love you, Lily," he whispered brokenly, his heart breaking when he felt her hand loosen around him.
The room fell into a heavy silence, broken only by the rumble of distant thunder. Charlus and Dorea stood next to their son; their sorrow reflected James's profound loss.
And in the midst of this tragedy, a new life began. Their son, Heinrich Dietrich Grindelwald-Potter, let out a soft, innocent scream, unaware of the heartbreaking sacrifice his mother had made for him.
James held his son tightly, his grief and joy intertwined in an overwhelming wave of emotion. As she held Heinrich in her arms, she silently vowed to honor Lily's memory and protect her sons with all her might.
