After the defeat of the Overlord as the Golden Master, Pythor finds himself contemplating his life, & makes a decision to change for the better, accidentally changing his destiny in the process & leaving him with a new elemental power. Now free to make his own choices, he attempts to navigate a world affected by his past actions and make amends by joining the ninja.

This fic spans S5-post S7 and focuses on Cole's experience as a ghost. There is also Lloyd/Morrow angst and Jay/Nya/Nadakhan angst mixed in. Lloyd wondered why Jay still had beef with him when he gets taken in on the Bounty, even though everyone else has warmed up to him. Oh yeah. He almost killed his parents. Jay's parents, who are coming over for dinner tonight. Yeah, well that's just amazing.

Something is pulling Lloyd to the Dark Island. When he mysteriously and accidentally arrives at the Dark Island, he is shocked to meet groups of people who were still on the island when his grandfather submerged/froze it. Separated from the Ninja with no way to contact them due to the lack of internet service, Lloyd has no choice but to walk back to Ninjago on foot.

The once-Secret Ninja Force finally defeats Garmadon and everything falls into place. They get cool superpowers, become celebrities, Lloyd gets a happy family, Meowthra even becomes the city mascot. Yes, everything is perfect. Now if only Kai could stop having dreams about a boy in green crying beside his bed. TLDR: The movieverse is an illusion trapping the show ninja. Kai notices
