- On Yavin IV -

Sabine was standing in her room looking over her walls, covered in paintings, when Ezra walked in and started to flirt with her; he did this since the first time they met on Lothal about two years ago. Sabine never had an interest in Ezra, though the last two years he had changed, he had become more mature and had solidified his own character.

"Hey Sabine ... may I come in?"

"Sure, why shouldn't you?"

"Oh just because, you were chasing me out of this room on more than one occasion. ... so what are ye' painting?"

"Nothing really, just looking at some of my old paintings for inspiration. What do you want anyway?"

"I just wanted to see you." Ezra blushed while saying that.

"Ezra! Not while I'm trying to paint!" Sabine ushered.

"Sorry! It's just"

"Just remember to never flirt with me while I'm trying to paint."

"So you're fine with me flirting?"

"Maybe..." Sabine mumbled

"What was that?"

"Nothing!" a now also blushing Sabine stammered.

"Commander Bridger, report to the command-center." a computer-voice sounded throughout the intercoms of the base.

"Sorry, I have to go. See you later." Ezra said while hurrying out of Sabine's room.

As Ezra rushed out Sabine smiled. ... Ezra made his way over to the command-center and stopped just short of the doorway, to clean himself of. Then he entered the command-center, only to find a very annoyed Commander Sato.

"Where were you? You're twenty minutes late for our briefing." Sato asked, obviously not pleased by the delay.

"I ... um had something important to do." Ezra stammered.

"Okay then, let's start with the briefing. As you probably know our supply routes have been the target of Imperial raids. General Syndulla has assigned us two to figure out what happened to our supply-vessels." Sato stated to start the briefing.

"Where did we lose our last supply-convoy?" Ezra asked.

"Over Orto Plutonia, a Snow-planet in the Pantora-system." Sato answered. "We will travel to the system and search for the remains of the supply-convoy. Any questions?" Sato finished.

"When do we take off?" Ezra asked.

"We take off in two minutes." Sato answered and walked out the door.

After a moment of shock Ezra rushed after Sato. The two of them made their way towards a CR-90 Corvette and after boarding the ship, they took off. Inside the ship Sato went to the bridge, while Ezra headed to the Escape-pod section, as he reached it he said down and started to meditate. He connected with the force and got some Visions.

The first showed an Imperial officer, the second showed a blockade over a planet and the third showed a mandalorian fighting two Inquisitors with only his hands.

Suddenly Ezra was ripped from his meditation, by a computer-voice sounding through the ship.

"Commander Bridger, report to the bridge immediately!"

After taking a second to get his bearings on, Ezra got up and walked to the bridge. When he got there, he leaned against the doorframe. The bridge was fully crewed with two pilots, a weapons-officer and a Sensor-officer. Sato stood between the two weapons-officers.

"Bridger, you're finally here. We'll be re-enteringn realspace in a few minutes." Sato informed the young Jedi.

The Corvette re-entered realspace in front of a debris field. For a second everyone on the bridge fell silent for their fallen brothers and sisters. Then Commander Sato ordered the Sensor-officer to scan the debris field on what happened to the supply-vessels. After a few minutes Sato got a report from the Sensor-officer.

"Apparently our supply-vessels had suffered extreme Hull-damage, though none of it was caused by Laserfire." As the Sensor-officer wanted to continue with his report an alarm rang through the bridge.

"Commander we are detecting about a dozen ships entering the system. They are centred around a massive ship."

"Activate the shields immediately and bring us out of here!" Sato ordered calmly.

But it was to late; the Dreadnought had caught them in one of it's tractorbeams. As they slowly steered towards the Dreadnought, Sato sat back in his chair and closed his eyes for a second. Then he activated the ship's intercom and informed his men, that they were about to be boarded. When the ship had finally docked with the dreadnought, the rebels aboard the Corvette had made their way to the access hatch and took defensive positions. Ezra had taken command of the soldiers defending the hatch, but one could still feel the nervousness in the air. All of them waited several minutes for the hatch to be blown open. Then suddenly they heard somebody on the other side of the hatch. Then it was quiet again, for some 30 seconds, after that the hatch blew open. Only seconds after the hatch had been blown death troopers started swarming the rebels, soon enough the death troopers had overrun them and they had to surrender. All of the rebels were taken to the cell-block, except for Ezra and Sato. The two of them were brought onto the bridge. In the middle of that bridge, surrounded by more Deathtroopers, stood a man in a white uniform with golden stripes on his shoulders.

"Commanders Bridger and Sato, it's so nice to finally meet the both of you in person. I have to say, I am terribly sorry about your arrival. I prefer to fight face-to-face and with honour, I do not sacrifice my subordinates without due cause, as many Imperial commanders do." He said as while still having his back turned to them.

"Who are you?" Ezra spat out.

"Oh! Excuse my manner, I haven't introduced myself. ... I am Grand Admiral Brive Bondas."

"So you're like Thrawn?" Ezra asked.

"Oh, don't get me wrong. I am honoured that you would say that, but Thrawn and I are very different. But also, in a way, yes, I am like Thrawn." Bondas said with a smile on his face.

Before the two rebels can say something else a Imperial naval officer came to the side of the Grand Admiral and informs him about something that the rebels can not hear exactly, the only word that they could make out was "Child". After the officer was finished Bondas issued some order to the rest of his fleet and then turned to the two prisoners.

"Excuse me, but I have work to do. Commander, have them be put into a seperate Cell than the other rebels!"

Back on Yavin, Sabine sat in her room on the Ghost. She was looking at some videos on the holonet. She was a bit surprised when Hera came into her room.

"Hey, Sabine, can I talk to you for a moment?"

"Yeah, what's up!"

"Sit down; I have to talk to you. ... Ezra and Sato haven't reported in yet. We have to assume that they have been captured."

Sabine just sat there for a moment. Then she stood up and started to pace around the room.

"Sabine, whatever you do. Do not chase after them! If they've been captured, then there's definitely a trap waiting for anyone that is coming to save them."

Some time later; Sabine was still sitting in her room. Then she stood up and put on her armor. She then left the Ghost and headed straight for one of the U-wings parked on the Yard outside the templeruins. She reached one of them and put her equipment into the storage compartment of the gunship. She then started the lift off preparations, when a little girl, around 12 years old, stumbled into the U-wing.

"Tena what are you doing in here?" Sabine asked.

"I saw you walking towards the U-wing and wanted to go with you." Tena said in an innocent voice.

"NO. I mean, no, Tena you can't come with me on this mission. It's just too dangerous." Sabine told the girl with a stressed voice.

Tena made an overdramatic sad face, to try and persuade Sabine.

"Stop it with that face, Tena. You know that doesn't work on me." Sabine told the girl with an annoyed voice.

"Okay, I'll see you when you return then." Tena said and then turned around and walked away.

After finishing the preparations for lift off, Sabine entered the U-wing and started the engines. Immediatly after, the holoprojector in the cockpit started itself up and showed Hera.

"Turn off your engines! Sabine? ... ...what are you doing?" Hera demanded.

"I'm going to save Ezra!" With these words Sabine cut the connection and flew the U-wing into orbit and jumped into Hyperspace.

At the same time on the bridge of the Grand Admirals flagship, the "Vanquisher", a comm-officer came up to Bondas.

"Grand Admiral, Sir, we've received a transmission from our spy on Yavin. Sabine Wren has left the Base and is on route to our position." the Lieutenant reported.

Following the report the Grand Admiral straightend himself in his command-chair and started to issue orders to his fleet via control panels on the armrests of his chair. He then turned towards Vice Admiral Lyfa Cose.

"Vice Admiral, have our TIE-Phantom Squadron go on an interception course." Bondas ordered and turned back to face the bridge windows. The rest of the Fleet had already taken on a new formation to welcome the incoming rescue party. The Grand Admiral then turned towards the leader of his deathtroopers, Captain Buni Zohnul and ordered him to go and bring Ezra onto the bridge. The captain nodded and left to fulfil his mission, a couple of minutes later he returned with Ezra.

"Ahhh, Commander Bridger, how nice of you to join us for this spectacle."

"What spectacle?" Ezra asked.

"Oh, excuse me, I forgot to tell you. ... In a couple of minutes a U-wing will exit hyperspace infront of my fleet. This particular U-wing is piloted by Sabine Wren. ... So what will it be give me the identities of your Generals or save your friend."

Ezra just stood there in silence, until one single tear slipped down his cheek.

"Interesting. I have to say, I didn't expect you to choose like that. I guessed you would choose your friend. Well then, take a seat and watch the spectacle."

Just then the U-wing entered the system. Though Ezra heard the Grand Admiral give his command, it was as if he was far away from him. He could only watch as the U-wing got hit by Turbolasers and crash onto the snow planet below them.
