Chapter 4: Confronting Wally wackford
After facing Vakama a desert sprint as there car crashed the group sulked in the sands with Loona struggling with the engine of the broke vehicle "Ugh this is just great *Throws some junk* the in take got a thirty-torque Tolerance that has blown up and the combustion valves need a new ring slip!" Said Loona annoyed "I didnt quite get all of that" said Adam in a cheek "I build these engines from scratch you angel cheek" said Loona giving a look annoyed "I fend off lava roses who eat the distributor caps (Cue Naruto wining as he went under the car) and nobody told me I would have to deal with dust storm coyote hellhounds if they get sand in the manifold I quit!" She yelled "Did you get all of that this time?" Asked Stolas as Adam nervously nodded "every word" a bit nervous as Octavia noticed something "Guys I think those Sand Hellhounds wanted to show us something" she said gesturing that the group were at a familiar ranch "We have returned!" Said hearing with a gasp "We are back at the trading post" said Lucifer surprised at the returned "Remember what Valkama said that there was powerful ancient forces at work" said Adam "Right we better take a note to stay on there good side" said Stolas "And better yet no more picking up any hitchhikers" said Loona pointing with a wrench.
In the store Wally was loading up the box with something inside covering it up before turning and yelping seeing the group glaring at him "*Frowning* hay uh I told you people to leave" he said firmly "We have a couple of questions" asked Lucifer as Wally gave a look "I've already answered your questions" he said but Naruto growled blocking him as he tried to leave scaring the imp "Pet fox, eats about anything…meaning you might be on the menu" said Stolas as Adam got serious "Ok talk! How do you know that the missing crate had pottery?" He said as Wally stumbled "Uh I dont uh I uh…" he started "And what do you know about a Matorian named Valkama?" Asked Lucifer "I know I got a shelf full of painted rocks of him and the story of the Toa and there people inside" said Wally as Adam realized what he means "Of course Valkama a former Toa now a elder the spirit of fire" he said "Wait we gave a ride to a spirit?" Asked Octavia as Wally frowned at them "You cant really believe that superstition" he asked "Look pal we got attacked by a pack of phantom coyote hellhounds in a sandstorm, the same restless spirits that came after Greg and whoever has that crate of pottery" said Loona but Wally waved it off "Save it I am not superstitious" he said as Naruto sniffed the back of the trunk as Hearing did the same "Oh I smell old pottery" he said as the group looked at marked "Property of Standers" as they glared.
"You had the crate al along!" Said Lucifer angery as the hell rabbit removed the tarp "Voila!" He said as he took out the pot in the crate as Adam rubbed it feeling it was sandblasted and worn smoothed "Its rubbed smooth just like the inside of Gregs Shack" said Adam as Wally was sweating nervously "Well there is no way you can prove it" he said but Hearing proved it by lickng it "Humm, sandstone, heavy red oxides, basalt…Encrusted with the same silicate found in Greg Sanders shack" he said stunned as the others glared as Wally frowned glaring "Well so what? Sandards found it in the desert and then while he was in the hospital I found it in his shack" said Wally "That is called stealing" said Lucifer with a glare "No I call it commerce handsome" said Wally "Still stealing" said Lucifer "besides Standard is the only one who knows the location of where the pot came from" said Wally smuggly however Hearing broke that as he licked the pot humming "Judging from the high alkaline content... I would say it came from a cave on the south face of the Mogollon Rim... (licks again) fifteen miles north of here" he said as that made Wally gasp
"*Smirking* mmmhmmm he's good, dirty but good" he said as Wally sweat drops nervously "Well you know maybe I didnt take things seriously enough *takes the pot* there are a lot of old tales and mysteries out here in the desert, and the coyotes you encountered are a good example" he said "I thought you didnt believe" said Adam skeptic of the imp "Well I sure dont want to end up like Greg" said Wally "Maybe if the pot is returned that should settle the restless spirits" said Adam as the others agreed as they glared at Wally dragging him with them.
Later somewhere in the desert area the group marched before Hearing stopped picking up some dirt before licking it grinning as he pointed to a direction as they continued on to the mountains that were there destination, soon they came to a mountain with jagged rocks as unknown to them they were being watched by the spirits of the land as they looked ready to attack as they soon got to the mountain as Hearing gasped happily. "I hearing have done it! I have found the subterranean gate way that is the very threshold of the unknown!" The hell rabbit said as the group studied a stone wall "Its just a hole" said Loona shrugging "A hole? Bah! *Poitns* look at the lines in the basalt, the beauty of the erosion, the poetry of the clay, this is not a hole its a tunnel" the hell rabbit said gesturing to the lines in the dirt as Stolas looked over in the horizon alarmed. "I dont care what you call me just tell me its big enough to hide in becasue we got company!" He yelled pointing as the group noticed the coyote sandstorm is coming in hot to the group as howls echoed across the land. "Everyone move go go go" yelled Adam as they hurried to get to the tunnel but a tree broke and blocked the way as the coyotes howled "I will save us ! Wait up!" Yelled Hearing as he and Naruto started to dig creating a hole as the others followed inside quickly.
Once in the tunnels bursted as most fell through into the ground as they recovered as Loona gasped in shock "Adam look" she said as Adam groaned a bit and recovered as he was in awe "Holy spit!" He said in pure awe and amazement "Amazing" said Octavia as the group saw a huge aztec-like city before them spotting giant familiar statues "This is…impossible none of this should truly exist, not in the same place blending all these cultures together" said Stolas as Adam pointed out each of cultures blend "Noshoni, Aztec, Mayan, Olmec, Toa…so many, even hellborn like imps, Goitia, hellhound…amazing" said Adam as Lucifer was in pure awe himself 'My people were here" he said as he ran down a path to look around "Luci wait up" said Adam following to make sure the thinner angel dosent get hurt as Adam smily softly seeing Lucifer looking at the giant statue with awe.
"That is amazing, the Crystal Guardian was a Aveyond angel, his teaching influenced all these cultures" said Adam as Lucifer smiled "A little bit of Atlantis goes a long way" said Stolas walking up with the others as the group saw a sand toa as they were a bit nervous "So where should we put the pots?" Asked Loona as the toa gestured to follow them as they followed to a house without any pots in the slots motioning to put the pots in there. "Wally that old pot can fit on any of those ledges *Looks around* Wally?" Asked Stolas confused as the others were confused as a green smoke seem to emanate from around them as they breathed it in coughing "What on earth is that?" Asked octavia coughing "Sorry that was me *Realization* wait that was not me!" He said fainting "Its sleeping gas!" Said Stolas as he fainted as one by one they collapsed '*Coughing* Wally!" Yelled Adam as high above a gas mask wearing Imp glared snickering.
"Oh, about the pot. It looks like I'm going to be keeping it along with everything else in here. Ha-ha-ha. *Pulls out a smoking pot filled with green smoke* Thishome-made prairie grass mixture makes a good sleeping gas, wouldn't you agree?" He said throwing the pot as Adam and Lucifer fell unconcus
"Naturally I can't let you go free and tell the world about my discovery, I mean where's the profit in that?" He asked cruely as the group all fell unconcus as it fades to black.
Authors note: that will not be good, with Wally trick leading them to remnants of a Matorian civilization where Lucifer learns a Aveyond angel helped the society there they are knocked unconcus
