AN: This is Harry's Response to Fleur's letter in Chapter 14 of The French Savior.
Dear Fleur, September 3rd 1988
It's so good to hear from you! I can't believe it's only been three days, and I already feel like things are too quiet here without you. Everyone's missing you too—Octavius keeps complaining that we're down one "expert" at wizard chess, and even Susan misses having another girl around. I'll be sure to say hello to everyone for you—especially Sirius and Remus. I know they'd love to hear you're doing well.
I can't wait to hear more about Beauxbatons! From what you've described, it sounds absolutely magical—although I'm with you on the ridiculous hats. I can't picture you wearing something silly, but I suppose it's all part of the charm. A fountain with healing properties? That sounds just like something Dumbledore would be fascinated by.
And I have to admit, I'm a little envious of the Quidditch pitch. Ours here seems tiny compared to what you're describing!. I can't imagine how good the Beauxbatons players must be with all that space!
Cassandra sounds great—I bet she's a lot of fun if she's into both sports and football. I'd love to meet her. Also, Bellefeuille sounds like a good fit for you—there's no way you wouldn't excel in a house that appreciates beauty and grace. I hope you get to show them how dazzling your Quidditch skills are too.
You have to tell me everything about your classes! What's the most interesting one so far? I know you're brilliant at magic, but I bet the things you're learning there are on a whole different level. Also, how's the food? You know that's always my first question. Are they doing anything that rivals Mrs. Weasley's cooking?
I'm glad you're settling in, Fleur. I'm looking forward to seeing you at Christmas, and we'll have a proper catch-up then—there's a lot to tell you from this end.
Take care, keep up the good work, and try not to let the hats get to you too much!
Much love,
Harry
