Cell vs Wobblewok
In an ominous red void that had random platforms styled like Japanese floors, Kermit and Cell were looking around, although this time accompanied by Hovernyan and the rest of the Yo-Kai Watch Blasters.
"Alright Hovernyan, what did the guys upstairs want this time?" Cell asked the hovering cat Yo-Kai.
"Lord Enma wants us to check on the seal that was placed on the formidable Yo-Kai in the 8th Circle of this domain," Hovernyan answered, looking at Cell.
"Alright, that's cool and all, but WHERE THE FUCK ARE WE?!" Cell shouted.
"The Infinite Inferno," Hovernyan answered. "This place is full of strong Yo-Kai, who could potentially destroy the main Yo-Kai World should they get free." Hovernyan huffed. "The dangers in this place are unlike any other."
"Alright, but that doesn't explain who we're stopping," Kermit replied.
"Look, we'll cross that road when we get there," Hovernyan said. As the group began walking deep into the Inferno, they saw two poets preparing to walk out of the Infinite Inferno.
"Halt! Who are you people?!" Cell shouted.
"Dicono che il Demonio potrebbe piangere, ma in realtà sa farlo quando vuole," the first poet said, holding plenty of paper and writing down his findings.
"Non siamo il tipo di fratelli che credi. Siamo solo poeti con nomi simili," the other poet added, looking at Hovernyan with his arms behind his back.
"I see," Hovernyan said. "Well, then we'll let you be on your way."
The poets nodded, before the first one said, "Diamogli un assaggio della roba buona." The two then passed the Blasters and walked out of the Infinite Inferno, leaving Cell and Kermit baffled whilst the Yo-Kai seemed okay with letting them go.
"I'm sorry, the fuck?" Cell questioned.
"Lord Enma gave one of them the chance to visit the Infinite Inferno so he could write about it," Hovernyan answered. "The man with him was a Yo-Kai in human form to make the journey more pleasant." Hovernyan let out a hum. "Bless their souls."
Kermit looked at Hovernyan. "That sounds awfully familiar to how a poem went down."
"You read poems?" Cell asked Kermit.
"Hey, unlike you, I actually HAD to go to school, alright," Kermit replied.
"Well, regardless of who, how, where, what, and why," Hovernyan began, bringing back the conversation to Kermit's previous remark, "we have a lot of references in our series."
"Oh yeah?" Cell asked. "Name one."
"Nya!" The group turned to see a grey cat Yo-Kai on a motorcycle in a black leather jacket, wearing black shades, and had a red eye, speaking in a deep Austrian accent. "I am the Terminyanator!"
After staring at the Terminyanator, Cell looked over at Hovernyan and said, "Please bleach my eyes and kill me."
"Gladly," Sandmeh said as he pulled out a 9mm pistol.
"Focus!" Hovernyan ordered. "We can kill him later!"
"Damnit," Sandmeh grumbled as he put the gun away.
As they made it to the final circle of the Infinite Inferno, they approached a giant cauldron with three seals on it. And to say it was large was an understatement.
"Goddamn, that thing is larger than my fucking arena!" Cell shouted. "That's our target?!"
"Yes," Hovernyan confirmed as he inspected the cauldron. "Inside, a powerful Yo-Kai lurks, sealed away for being an absolute monster and committing many atrocities… It has killed many Yo-Kai." He turned back to look at Cell and Kermit. "And we're HARD to kill."
"How hard we talking?" Cell asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Aside from the Enma Note," Hovernyan began, "really hard. We live longer than humans and can exist for hundreds of years, especially if sealed away." Hovernyan hummed, thinking back to an incident of his past. "It's unfortunate how that can lead to feelings fostering and making Yo-Kai become resentful towards humanity…"
"Pardon?" Kermit asked, sounding very concerned.
"It's nothing," Hovernyan said. "Now then, let's make sure this beast stays sealed."
"One of the seals is broken," Hidabat commented, gesturing to one of the seals on the cauldron, which was indeed slightly torn.
"It's a good thing Lord Enma's assistant Zazel supplied us with seals," Hovernyan remarked, unbothered by the damaged seal. "No Way, bring forth the seals!"
"No Way!" No Way said, making everyone look at him.
"What?" Hovernyan questioned.
"No Way," No Way repeated, showing his empty hands.
"I thought you were the one meant to bring the seals Hovernyan," Sandmeh said, looking at Hovernyan.
"Yeah, but I told Blizzy to tell No Way to bring the seals!" Hovernyan replied, sounding a bit panicked. "Wait… what day is today?!"
"Uh, Friday," Kermit said, checking his phone. "At least that's when this part of the chapter was written."
"Fuck!" Hovernyan swore. "Blizzy had a vacation today to go spend more time with her family!"
"Well surely the seal can wait a little bit to be fixed," Cell began, before the cauldron began rumbling, and a black round monster with red eyes lifted up the lid.
"WOK!" The Yo-Kai shouted as it looked down at the Yo-Kai Blasters.
"And we're fucked," Cell said instantly, before suddenly a chunk of rock was hurled at the Yo-Kai Watch Blasters by the Yo-Kai.
"Wobblewok has been awakened!" Hovernyan shouted, panicked whilst everyone dodged.
"Well boys, good luck!" Cell said to the Blasters as he and Kermit backed up and let them sort this out.
"What?!" Sandmeh shouted, before getting immediately decked by Wobblewok.
"WOBWOK!" Wobblewok shouted as its eyes turned blue.
"Healer down!" Hovernyan shouted. The Blasters were clearly underprepared and uncut for dealing with Wobblewok as the monster quickly wiped the floor with them.
Kermit looked at Cell. "Ya know… you should probably try to help them."
"Nah, this is more entertaining," Cell replied with a hum whilst No Way got slammed to the ground repeatedly by Wobblewok.
"MY FUCKING LEGS!" No Way shouted, the common tongue having been beaten into him.
As Now Way screamed at the top of his lungs, Kermit and Cell watched for a moment. Cell shifted uncomfortably for a bit, before saying, "Okay, maybe I should help."
"Oh geez, ya think?" Hovernyan remarked dryly as he tried lifting himself off the ground.
"Fuck you," Cell retorted, before sending a single Ki Blast at Wobblewok. Although the blast landed, the smoke cleared and showed that it did nothing. "...well shit."
"WOK!" Wobblewok shouted, before Cell got struck with a bolt of lightning.
As Cell fell to the ground, Kermit looked at the battlefield, where the Blasters and Cell were now defeated. "...well, if this is how I'm going to die," Kermit began, before pulling out a handgun. "I'd rather go on my own terms."
"You're depressing," a voice said, before Kermit turned and saw Lego standing behind him.
"Oh shit, you're alive?" Kermit questioned, surprised since Lego hasn't been seen in several chapters, before noting how half of Lego's mask was missing and one of Lego's eyes was now black with a white pupil. "Uh… where'd your mask go?"
Lego ignored Kermit entirely before pulling out a crystal that was a dark hot pink in color, and ominous in aura and pressure. Lego crushed the crystal with his hand before the crystalline dust from the crystal went to Hovernyan. As Hovernyan was coated in an ominous aura, Hovernyan was suddenly revitalized and transformed seamlessly.
"Darknyan!" Hovernyan shouted once his transformation was complete. He was now a cat Yo-kai with black and gray fur with golden yellow eyes and a fading blue stripe on his face. Around his shoulders is a sapphire cloth worn like a cape, and around his waist is a utility belt.
"Woah," Kermit said. "Uh… can you do that?" Kermit turned to look at Lego, who had already disappeared. "Lego?"
"MOXIE!" Darknyan shouted as he slashed at Wobblewok, driving the beast back into its prison, dealing damage to the beast somehow.
"WOBBLEWOK!" The creature shouted as it was attacked and uncharacteristically defeated somehow, before falling to the ground and 'dying' in a poof of purple smoke.
Kermit stared, confused. "...what just happened?"
"I won," Darknyan spoke in a gritty voice, before reverting to being Hovernyan and falling to the ground. "Fuck."
Kermit hummed. "...well this was a dogshit chapter."
He has no idea what transpired here, but we'll get answers later or something like that.
This has been a completely inaccurate explanation of the Infinite Inferno of the Yo-Kai Watch series and is one of those 'don't get a shit' chapters.
If anyone asks about the poets though, my only hint is 'Inferno'. I'm pretty sure the dialogue is a hint as well, so let the Italian serve you well. Also, the translations were provided by a friend I have who knows Italian. The dialogue is a reference to another series as well, so it's a two-in-one reference.
Anywho, catch y'all later.
