(The next morning: Tazuna's house)
Naruto groaned as his eyes opened slowly, due to the sun peaking through the curtains and hitting his face. His body felt a bit sore thanks to last night's activities, but he knew it would go away soon.
He felt his lower half shift slightly, and Naruto looked down to see a sight that many men would kill to be in.
He saw that his body was surrounded on all sides by his recently turned mates, with Tiamat on his left, Yoko on his right, and Phyllis right on top of him with her head lying on his chest. Naruto couldn't help the grin that appeared on his face as he looked around him.
The room was a complete and utter mess, and that was putting it lightly. He couldn't remember half of what the hell they did last night, mostly because halfway through their nightly escapades, he had used the shadow clone jutsu. He would have to sort out the memories later, right now he needed to get out of bed.
Channeling his chakra, Naruto made a sealess shadow clone and performed a quick substitution with it. Naruto then quietly walked towards where his clothes were only to see his vest was shredded to pieces.
"Ok, what the actual hell did we do last night?" Naruto thought with a raised eyebrow as he put his pants and sandals on, before quietly exiting the room.
In the hallway, Naruto looked at the back of his hand to see his mate mark, currently on the number 4. "I could feel myself grow stronger every time the number on my mark grew. I don't think it was so potent with my time with Lucie. Could it be that blessing Cele-chan gave me before we left?"
Naruto's thoughts were cut off when the door next to his room opened, and a certain one eyed cyclops walked out on a pair of crutches. Naruto cursed himself internally as their eyes met, and Kakashi widened his eyes at the sight of konoha's lost jinchuriki.
Before Kakashi could say anything, Naruto spoke up in a mocking tone. "Ah, I see the dog has finally woken up from its slumber."
"Naruto." Kakashi said lowly, still feeling tired from yesterday's events. "Tsunami-san and Tazuna told me what happened while I was unconscious, but I thought he was lying, but it looks like he wasn't. You really are here."
"Yeah, I am, but don't think I'm here for you. The only reason I'm even here is because of Tazuna-san. Once he completes the bridge, I'm out of here." Naruto said with boredom, making Kakashi's eyes narrow.
Naruto then walked past the one eyed cyclops, and said lowly next to him. "Oh, and don't think about trying anything to send me back to that village. Otherwise, you and your students will get sent back to konoha in body bags."
Kakashi narrowed his eyes dangerously. "Is that a threat?"
"No, it's not a threat. It's a promise, one that I'm willing to carry out if it means hurting that village. Now I'll only say this once cyclops." Naruto said, before his eyes became slits and a dense blue aura surrounded his form. "Stay. Out. Of. My. Way."
And with that, Naruto walked away, leaving Kakashi alone in the hallway. Kakashi followed the dragon slayer with his gaze before thinking to himself. "So, the brat decided to reveal himself huh. I'll need to inform lord third about this, maybe some backup would be nice too."
(Forest: Minutes later)
Naruto was outside deep in the forest after eating breakfast provided by Tsunami, bless her soul. He nearly went overboard while eating once again, but then he remembered that there were other people in the house, so he decided to eat what was given to him and find other animals to quell his hunger.
However that wasn't his main objective right now. No, right now he was in the middle of a training session with his clones, trying to dispel them all. The difference between this training session and others, was the fact that he wasn't using his dragon slayer magic this time. He was just working on his taijutsu, without the use of magic.
...Ok, maybe he was using a bit of his reinforcement magic, but still, he needed to improve his reinforcement anyway. His dragon scales were already strong enough as they were, but what if he ever came across someone who could break through his scales, or even worse, someone who has a dragon slayer weapon on hand. That was a situation he would rather avoid.
Naruto jumped in the air and did a split kick, with his feet connecting with the faces of two clones trying to attack him. Another clone tried to take advantage while he was in the air, but Naruto simply twirled his body in mid-air and delivered a kick to the clone's neck, breaking it and causing it to dispel.
Naruto backflipped as a lightning bolt came crashing down on his previous position. Naruto glared at the clone, before blitzing him in a burst of speed and punched the clone through the chest. Naruto felt a sudden influx of chakra, so he quickly flashed away from the clone, just as it exploded.
That was one other thing Naruto liked to do while training with clones. He would make shadow clones and to spice things up, he would create exploding clones as well. This would force him to think quickly if he didn't want to become an unrecognizable corpse on the ground.
The last of the clones tried to dogpile him as they all started to glow, but Naruto was prepared. He crossed his arms in an x formation, before he quickly spread them outward as the clones were blown back into several trees, causing them to dispel before they could explode.
Naruto panted slightly as he wiped sweat from his brow. "Hm, not as good as in Aslanore, but it's enough to get my blood pumping."
Naruto then felt something cold pressing against his cheek as well as a towel landing on his head. He looked up, and saw Phyllis looking at him with a smile. "Did you get warmed up yet?"
"Yeah, you guys were still asleep so I decided to just start without you." Naruto said with a smirk.
"Yeah, no thanks to you being so rough with us last night. My hips still feel a bit sore thanks to you." Phyllis said with an indignant glare.
"Hehe, sorry about that. Anyway how are the others, are they awake yet?" Naruto asked while drinking the beverage the elf gave him.
"Yes, they're eating breakfast with the konoha shinobi and the bridge builder's family right now. Although things might end up being a bit hectic this morning." The elf swordswoman said while looking towards the direction of the house.
"Really? Why do you say that?" Naruto asked with confusion, and it increased as he heard loud crashes and shouting coming from Tazuna's house.
"That's why. The pervert ran into the Uchiha and started to demand she be his wife. And as you can probably hear, things aren't going so well for him." Phyllis said with a mocking smirk.
"...Remind me to castrate that prick when I get the chance." Naruto growled with growing anger as flames started to flicker around him.
"I'll keep that in mind. Tiamat-sama is keeping an eye on them to make sure they don't cause too much destruction." Phyllis said, filling Naruto with slight relief.
"I see. Well in any case, we should get ready to guard Tazuna-san. Anything would be better than to be around that cyclops and his team." Naruto said, before they started to walk back to the house.
"Hey Naruto." Phyllis spoke up, catching the blonde's attention as she continued. "I know this is a bit sudden for me to ask but...do you regret it?"
"Regret what Phi-chan?" Naruto asked with a raised eyebrow.
"You know, just...meeting us, coming to Alfheim, everything. You probably had some people who genuinely cared for you back in your former village, and we just sort of took that away from you." Phyllis said as she looked away with slight shame.
Naruto smiled softly at the swordswoman, before wrapping her in his arms in a warm embrace, causing Phyllis's face to turn red at the contact. "No, I don't regret a thing, Phi-chan. Ever since I came to Alfheim, my life has gotten so much better compared to how it was in konoha. Sure I may have some precious people in that village, but they were only a rare few. In Alfheim I'm genuinely liked by everyone."
Naruto then kissed Phyllis on her cheek making her face resemble a tomato. "And I consider everyone in Alfheim precious to me, including you. So don't think I'll ever regret meeting you, because I don't and nothing will change that."
"I see. Thank you Naruto. I...I guess I just needed to hear that. I'll try my best to give you the love you deserve like everyone else in Alfheim." Phyllis said with a smile, before they leaned in for a soft kiss.
They soon separated, and Phyllis looked at the dragon slayer with embarrassment. "Um...I think I'll go train on my own for a bit. I'll meet with you guys when it's time to guard Tazuna."
Phyllis walked off, leaving the Uzumaki alone chuckling to himself. "I swear, that girl is a complete tsundere."
"I'll say~" Naruto suddenly felt slender arms wrap around his body, and turned his head to see Tiamat looking at him was a smirk. "With how hard you were on her last night, I was starting to think that you fucked the tsundere out of her~"
"Haha, very funny." Naruto said sarcastically. "So what's up Tia-chan? Here to get away from the konoha group?"
"Yes. Plus I saw you training out here and I wanted to do some training myself." Tiamat said with a growing grin.
"Really? Well if you want training, then Phyllis went deeper in the forest to train herself." Naruto said, but Tiamat shook her head negatively.
"Oh no Naru-kun. I don't want to train with that elf. I was hoping we could pick our training sessions back up again~" Tiamat said as her grin turned sadistic, causing Naruto to pale in fear.
"Um...I'm not too sure if that's a good idea Tia-chan. I mean, this is the human world, not the dragon realm, so we'd be doing more damage than normal." Naruto said nervously, causing Tiamat's grin to widen in amusement.
"Oh that won't be a problem. We'll simply hold back most of our strength so we don't cause any damage." The dragon queen said before she grew blue dragon scales on her arms and legs, and her outfit changed. Gone were her tube top and loincloth, replaced with a black sports bra that hugged her huge breasts, and skin tight black shorts that hugged her wide hips.
Naruto blushed heavily at the sight of the dragon queen. This was the outfit that Tiamat always wore when they were training in the dragon realm, and he couldn't help but stare at the now stretching dragoness.
The problem with that, was because her huge breasts were juggling with each movement. Naruto wasn't sure why, but he got the sneaking suspicion that Tiamat was wearing this outfit just to tease him.
Well...that or she wanted him to make a move on her.
"Ah, that's more like it. It's been a while since I wore this huh." Tiamat smiled, but it soon turned into a sultry smirk as she saw Naruto looking at her with a dazed look. "What's wrong Naruto? Like what you see~"
Naruto snapped out of his daze and gave his mate a deadpan look. "You're doing this on purpose aren't you?"
"Hehe, why whatever do you mean?" The dragon queen grinned lustfully, before she cracked her knuckles in excitement. "It's been awhile since we sparred, so I wanted to see just how strong you've gotten."
"N-Now hold on a seco-" Naruto was cut off when A fist sent him crashing through several trees. Naruto was fine thanks to his dragon defense and his healing factor, but it still hurts like a bitch.
"DODGE!!!" Tiamat shouted in the distance, causing Naruto to sweatdrop at the dragon's antics.
"This is going to be my whole day isn't it?" Naruto groaned before getting up and blitzing towards Tiamat, who had a sadistic grin on her face.
(Incomplete Bridge)
"Ok, I gotta admit that this bridge is a lot more impressive up close. Wonder what it's gonna look like when it's completed." Naruto asked himself while sitting nearby, watching Tazuna and his workers working on the massive bridge.
To be honest, he'd be lying to himself if he said he wasn't bored. Tiamat was back at the house taking care of Tazuna's family, leaving Yoko and Phyllis to guard the bridge builder with him like they had planned.
The main downside for Tiamat, was the fact that she had to deal with team 7. And if Yoko's shouts and screams were any indication, then Tiamat was going to have a very "fun" time.
Can you tell that he was being sarcastic? No? Well in case you couldn't tell, he was being very sarcastic.
While he did feel a bit of sympathy for the dragon queen, it lessened slightly when he felt his body ache all over. Right after they were done with their sparring session, which involved lots of fire and burning trees, both were completely worn out and wanted to take a break.
Fortunately for him, they had a few mystic pills on hand. Mystic pills were a common medicine in Aslanore, where upon taking the pill, it would replenish the user's strength, stamina and mana. While these pills were very common in Aslanore, they were very difficult to make. Just the slightest mistake could make the medicine break down and become unusable.
Naruto was knocked out of his thoughts when Yoko suddenly sat in his lap. "Something I can help you with Yoko-chan?"
The vixen smiled as she tried to get comfortable in her mate's lap. "Well, I was bored watching these humans work, so I wanted to find you. Can't a vixen cling to her mate every now and then?"
"Haha, I never said you couldn't. Where's Phyllis by the way?" Naruto asked.
"Oh, that tsundere went inside the village. I'm not sure why, but I get the feeling she's going to cause some trouble." Yoko said while rolling her eyes.
"I see, so it's just you and me huh?" Naruto paused for a while before looking into the distance. "You know, I gotta admit, I never would have thought we would get to where we are, you know?"
"Hm, yeah you're right. Had we not found Nol, then you'd more than likely be a shinobi of konoha while wearing that kill me orange jumpsuit and wearing a mask of stupidity, while pranking everyone with paint and chicken feathers." Yoko said, causing Naruto to sweatdrop.
"Why was that...oddly specific?" Naruto asked with a raised eyebrow, making the kyuubi shrug.
"Eh, don't worry about it too much. All we need to worry about is getting to whirlpool country after this is all over so we can go back to Aslanore. Just being in the human world again is making me sick." Yoko said in annoyance, causing Naruto to rub her sides gently.
"Don't worry Yoko-chan, once we get to Whirlpool country, we'll immediately go straight home. So try to bear with it a little longer ok?" Naruto said, and Yoko smiled as she turned to kiss her former container.
"Fine, but just for the record, you're going to show me a lot of attention when we get back to the house~" Yoko purred seductively, causing Naruto's cheeks to redden slightly as he nodded.
Their conversation was interrupted however when Tazuna's voice suddenly yelled out. "What do you mean you're quitting?!"
Turning to the commotion, Naruto and Yoko could see Tazuna and one of the workers arguing with one another.
"I'm sorry Tazuna, but I can't keep risking my life here when Gato can come here and kill us all if he wants to. My wife and I have a kid on the way and I can't abandon them because I died helping you with this bridge." The worker said with shame.
Tazuna looked at the man for a moment before he signed. "Look, I get it Raiba, you want to be there for your family. Believe me I do too, but if we're going to survive without that midget, then we need to get this bridge completed, or else we'll all end up as chopped liver."
"I'm sorry Tazuna, but I just can't. You're free to risk your life to build this bridge, but I want no part of it." The named Raiba said before he started to walk away.
All of the workers looked at him for a moment and started to see the man's point. They all had families of their own after all, and any normal man would want to go back to them in one piece.
Tazuna looked at everyone starting to have second thoughts and was about to try and convince them to stay and help, until someone else spoke up. "So that's it then huh? You're just going to run away like a spineless coward?"
Everyone turned to see Naruto and Yoko walking towards them, with the Uzumaki giving Raiba a disapproving stare. The scared worker looked at the dragon slayer for a moment before glaring at him. "What was that brat?"
"You heard me. Instead of helping with this bridge and creating a better future for your home, you decide to run away and be with your family instead. While I can't understand how you feel. It'll be pointless in the end." Naruto said with a glare towards Raiba. If there was one thing Naruto picked up from Tiamat's training, then it was her dislike towards cowardice.
"And why do you say that kid?" Raiba asked, but instead of Naruto answering, Yoko answered instead.
"Simple, as far as we're aware, wave is already cut off from the rest of the world, and you have no way to conduct trade or even get out of wave country. Meaning everyone is trapped in this country until this bridge is fixed." Yoko said.
"Not only that, but Gato has his eyes set on this bridge. If they weren't, then what will stop him from coming to your homes and killing your family. This bridge is the only thing distracting him from doing that right now, and you're just making it worse for yourself and others here." Naruto said sternly before turning to all of the workers on the bridge. "With that said, you all have a choice. You could either take matters into your own hands and help the only person in this damn village who has the balls to stand against Gato. Or, you can all run like cowards and let the bastard walk all over you like your nothing but insignificant trash."
Everyone looked at Naruto for a long while, even Raiba, before looking at each other. Soon everyone dawned looks of determination, before picking back up their tools and going back to work with much more ferocity, even the previously scared Raiba.
Tazuna looked at the dragon slayer with a grateful look. "Thanks kid. Thanks to you, they're working much harder than before."
"No problem Tazuna, always happy to help. But how about I make things easier for you." Naruto said before performing a crossed-shaped hand sign, and 50 clones appeared in puffs of smoke. "These guys should help get things done faster. Just tell them what to do and they'll handle the rest."
The bridge builder nodded, before he started directing the clones to specific areas of the bridge. Naruto just sighed, before sitting back down. "Hopefully that will keep them motivated until they finish the bridge."
"I wouldn't doubt it. You can be pretty motivational when you want to be." Yoko said cheekily.
Naruto was about to respond, until he felt someone approaching them. He looked to his left only to see Phyllis running over towards them with a serious look on her face.
"Phi-chan? What's with the long face? Did you run into trouble in the village?" Naruto asked seriously.
"Yes I did. I ran into a bunch of thugs on the way to the village, but I took care of them with ease, so no need to worry." Phyllis said while pulling out a patch of cloth from between her breasts. "I also came across most of those thugs wearing this emblem."
Naruto and Yoko took a closer look at the insignia. The insignia had the image of a howling black dog with red eyes. Naruto and Yoko looked at Phyllis with confusion until the silver haired elf spoke up. "From what I've gathered from those thugs, the people with this insignia are known as the black dogs. They're a mercenary company hired by Gato to help him with ruling over wave country."
"I see, do you know how big these black dogs are in terms of numbers?" Yoko asked.
"From what I got from the human I interrogated, their numbers rival a small army, and apparently the numbers continue to grow." Phyllis said with concern in her voice.
"Huh, so the bastard has a small army under his belt. We'll have to be more careful from now on, especially when we go inside the village." Naruto said seriously.
"Great, on top of having a rogue nin after the old man, we also got a small army on our doorstep. What, are you going to tell us that they have monsters under their control too?" Yoko said sarcastically. However, she looked at The swordswoman's nervous face, causing her as well as Naruto to deadpan. "You have got to be kidding me."
"Well in any case, we should keep an eye out for them. If you see anyone associated with these black dogs, kill them just like the other thugs Gato has under his thumb." Naruto said, with both Yoko and Phyllis nodding as they went back to guarding the bridge workers.
(Elsewhere)
Within a huge mansion on top of a cliff overlooking all of wave country, four figures, three males and one female, could be seen walking inside the mansion, with three of them having grins on their faces, while the last one has a contemplating look on her face.
The woman had short red hair, red eyes, and an hourglass figure. She wore a black headband over her forehead, a red leotard with a fur collar and the chest area open revealing her large breasts, blue chap pants, and knee-high boots. She also had two swords strapped to the back of her waist in a criss-cross fashion.
The woman was knocked out of her thoughts when she heard her name being called. "Hey Maia, you doing alright? You've been out of it ever since Gato hired us."
The now named Maia, Also known as the mercenary queen, looked at her partner with a forced smile.
Walking beside her was an average looking man with brown hair, green eyes, and the man looked like a scholar. He wore a dark purple cloak over a green and purple shirt, round circular glasses, black pants and much like Maia, knee-high boots.
"I'm fine Kin. I'm just trying to get over the fact that we're trying to kill a man that's trying to do good here." Maia said with a concerned voice, catching the second male's attention.
"Ha, don't get your panties in a twist, Maia. We're getting a shitton of money after we get the job done, so I'd say this is a win for the black dogs." The second male said in an eager voice.
The man had tanned skin, short slicked back brown hair and a muscular body. He wore a sleeveless green vest that showed off his muscular chest and arms, dark blue pants, and brown knee-high boots. He also had two daggers strapped to his sides.
"Oh piss off Hicks. I'm just saying that we could probably be a bit more...selective on who we let hire us." Maia said, feeling a bit annoyed.
Hicks gave a mocking grin towards the female mercenary, until a strong hand rested upon his shoulder.
"That's enough, all of you. We need to find out just what the hell is going on with this job. Because last time I checked, that damn bridge builder was supposed to be dead a long time ago." The tallest of the group spoke up in a gruff voice causing everyone to look at him.
The man has short brown hair with a bit of stubble on his chin, brown eyes, and a very muscular body. He wore a black shirt with brown baggy pants, black gauntlets, a shoulder guard on his left shoulder, and a dark reddish cape. The shoulder guard also had a metallic red plate on it with the symbol of the black dog mercenary company on it. Finally, he had a huge greatsword in his back.
Kin and Hicks nodded in understanding, while Maia just gave a huff, but nodded regardless. "Yes Vult-sama."
Vult, the leader of the Black dogs, just sighed in annoyance as they entered the mansion. He expected to be done with this job long before now, and yet for some reason they've been in wave longer than expected. Just what the hell was that so called demon of the mist doing?
After a while of walking inside the mansion, the group of Kuroinu mercenaries found the little shit known as Gato, yelling at Zabuza and his accomplice, until said accomplice broke Gato's hand and causing him and his guards to leave the room.
Zabuza finally noticed his "allies" and turned to face them. "Oh great, it's you. Look, I already got chewed out by that small fry, I don't need you and your band of horndogs giving me shit too."
Vult just snorted before replying back. "Relax Zabuza, you're already in a pathetic state, I'm not going to kick an already downed dog."
Haku glared at the leader of the Kuroinu, but Zabuza gave him a look, telling him to stay silent. "Whatever. Anyways why the hell are you here? I would have thought you and your band of horndogs would be finding another brothel to raid."
Maia inwardly snickered at the jab, while Kin and Hicks just gave the Kiri swordsman an annoyed glare but stayed silent. Vult grinned before saying. "Oh, I just came to see why it was taking so long to kill one fucking old man. Speaking of which, what the fuck happened to you?"
Zabuza chuckled before answering Vult's question. "A damn kid did this to me, but that brat was not normal. The kid used blue flames without any hand signs, and could think on his feet. But that's not all."
Zabuza then grabbed Kubikiribōtchō and motioned the mercenaries to look at the large noticeable crack going horizontally on the blade. "He also managed to crack Kubikiribōtchō. I'm not sure what the kid is, but if he can nearly break my sword with a punch, then I'd obviously want to fight him again. More than copycat Kakashi and his team of brats anyway."
"Wait Kakashi Hatake is here? Not only that, but you lost to a kid of all things? Jeez, and here I thought your title was worth something." Hicks said mockingly, causing Haku and Zabuza to glare at him.
"Look here asshole, if I were you, I wouldn't underestimate the kid. And if you don't kill him now, then I'm sure he's going to be a pain in the ass in the future for ya." Zabuza said.
"We'll take our chances, but thank you for the information, demon of the mist. I'm sure we'll put it to good use." Kin said, as the group walked out, with Maia looking at them with a contemplating look.
"Something you wanna say girly?" Zabuza asked.
"This guy you mentioned, do you know his name?" Maia asked with curiosity.
"Unfortunately no, but I can give you a description. He has blonde hair, blue eyes, dragon tattoos on his body, and whisker markings on his cheeks. If he uses blue fire without using any hand signs, then you've got the right guy." Zabuza informed the redhead.
"Thanks, I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Get some rest why don't you. We'll need you in case something happens." Maia said before she walked out of the room.
"Blonde hair, blue eyes and whisker markings huh? I'll need to find this guy when I have time. If he's as strong as Zabuza says he is, then he might be able to get me away from this damn group." Maia thought internally, before she shook her head and ran to catch up with her fellow mercenaries.
She needed to meet this blonde, and soon. Hopefully he can help her leave the black dogs, if he didn't kill her first.
