Fox's POV:
starting point
Fox barrel rolls at high speed up to a short fat man and jumps into a standing position, walking beside him.
Devo mutters loudly as he tapped at a data pad, "Why doesn't he just walk like a normal person?"
"Barrel rolling is faster." Fox states matter-o-factly.
Devo looks up at him with a mix of amusement and annoyance, "Uh huh." he hands him the data pad, "I take it you know what...?"
Fox interrupts, "Today's the test."
"Don't interrupt." he stops to face Fox and crosses his arms, "On this day, six months ago, you were dumped on my lap. I trained you all in the ways of policing and investigative work."
Fox's head twists towards two clones passing by, one limping.
Devo snaps his fingers in front of his face, "Focus."
Fox locks onto him, "Sorry, sir."
"Thank you. Try not to go overboard this time."
Fox smiles, "No promises, sir."
He glares, waving a finger in his face, "You better promise. If you don't pass this, I have to spend another two months with you people."
"That's not a threat, sir."
"I'm liable to shoot somebody." he says walking away.
Fox jokes, "Start with the criminals."
Fox wanders about the detention center checking everything with a swagger in his stiff step. He passes two of his men and they watch him turn a corner. One looks at the other, "He's excited."
Fox finishes his third inspection check and stops inside the main office, bored out of his mind. He walks up to the window and snaps at the city, "Report a crime already!" he thinks for a minute, then sits in the desk seat, "I look like a desperate idiot." he gives a snort and plants his elbows on the desk. After a minute his eyes lock onto a data pad on the desk and starts reading it. It perks his interest and reads further. He smiles and taps the large com on his desk. Two clones carrying shields appear as holograms above the small dome. One asks, "Yes, sir?"
"I need you to bring in Mr. Kiosk from the Dalsa murder case. I want to have a word with him about the victim."
"Yes, sir."
Fox turns it off and taps the com on his wrist, "Domain, prepare interrogation room three. Bring everything on the Dalsa murder case."
"Yes, sir."
It clicks off and Fox grabs another one, "Something to do."
A shiny smooth pointy shuttle comes landing on the visitor's platform and a droid comes "running" out to get a Coruscant guard's attention, "Emergency! Emergency! I need help! Senator Padme is in trouble!"
Six guards stop him, one asking, "What kind of trouble?"
"I am C3-PO and I have come because my mistress Senator Padme Amadala has been captured by Ziro the Hutt. It's horrible! You have to help!"
"Where?"
Fox stares at the male Nautalin, "I know you're lying."
"I lie about a lot of..."
Fox's com interrupts, "Commander Fox, Senator Amadala has been captured by Ziro the Hutt."
Fox taps it, "Copy that." he gets up and orders a trooper outside the door, "Take him to a cell."
"Yes, sir."
Fox comes running onto the platform with a rifle and sees his men getting on a transport packing guns, then looks at the ship C3-PO came in. He thinks, then smiles under the helmet and orders, "Forget our ships, we'll ride with the droid."
"What? Why?" asks one.
Fox motions them on board and climbs in last. He orders C3-PO, "Take us there."
"I sure hope she's alright." the droid says as a Corrie pilot climbed into the cockpit seat.
One of his men asks, "Why aren't we going in one of our ships?"
Fox smiles at him with a clever tone in his voice, "They can't run if they don't know we're coming."
"Ohhhh... Now that's a plan."
The ship lifts into the air and leaves.
They arrive at their destination and C3-PO walks up to Fox, "How do you plan to free Senator Amadala?"
Fox pulls out a grenade and cheekily answers, "In style." then orders, "Droid, go in there and poke your head in asking if anyone is home, then leave and call for a prisoner transport ship."
"How will that save Senator Amadala?"
Fox gently gives the droid a push towards the door, "Just trust me."
"Very well." and leaves.
Fox motions his men to follow him in. They head down a corridor and stop a few feet from the door to wait. C3-PO pokes his head in and asks, "Is anybody... home?" then comes back asking, "How was that?"
Fox throws the grenade, "Perfect." it explodes, taking out the droids. Fox and his men charge in shouting, "Get on the ground!" and "Federal agents!" while Fox barrel rolled down the short stairs. They all start shooting at the droids and looking cool as they dove for cover. Padme takes down the droid holding her hostage and shoots it with it's own blaster. Ziro freaks out and tries to make a run for it. Once all the droids are down, Padme runs up to him and orders, "Ziro, stop where you are."
Fox and his men surround him and Fox asks her, "Shall we arrest the Hutt, Senator?"
Before she could answer, C3-PO comes walking in, "Senator Padme, are you alright?"
Fox glares at him for ruining the moment.
Ziro states angrily, "Count Dooku made me kidnap Jabba's son." then sadly, "I love that Huttlet."
Padme stands next to Fox as she watches his men take the giant slug inside the prison transport ship. Ziro glares at her and threatens, "You'll pay for this, Senator!"
The clone in back orders, "Shut up." and the doors shut behind them.
Padme turns to Fox, "I'm glad you came when you did, Commander."
"All in a days work, ma'am." he says while puffing out his chest, "We're always ready to help."
"I should be going. The Senate will want to hear about this." she gives a light bow, "Good day, Commander."
Fox bows back, "Good day, Senator." then watches her leave, looking away shyly.
She leaves in her ship and Fox goes and leaps into the clone transport hovering at the edge. The doors shut and the ship takes off, leading the other back to the prison.
The six clones surrounding him notes his body language. One starts quietly singing, "Fox and Padme sitting in a ship, I..."
Fox snaps a glare at him, making him shut up.
"Sorry, sir."
"Admittedly, you would make a cute couple." comments another.
Fox lowers his head in shame, "My camera's on."
"Maybe Devo won't watch this part?"
Fox stands before Devo as he watched the recording from Fox's helmet. His face staying pretty neutral as the blue holograms flickered. Once it ends, he turns on the lights and pinches the bridge of his nose, muttering to himself.
Fox asks, "I take it I did something wrong?"
Devo takes a deep breath before replaying the video near the end, pausing it at the coolest part, "You tell me. What's wrong with this picture?"
Fox looks at it, then rubs the back of his neck, "We went in shooting."
He nods, adding, "Like maniacs. You could've easily hit the hostage with that kind of action." then takes a breath and gets up to stand proudly, "But you did do everything else right."
Fox thinks about it and perks, hopeful, "Does that mean I passed?"
"No."
Fox lowers his shoulders in disappointment.
Devo goes over to the door and motions Fox to leave, "It means everyone's doing hostage scenario training again. Starting with you. Now go."
Fox perks up again, "Yes, sir." and walks out.
"Don't be so excited about it!" he rolls his eyes and follows.
