~Saturday~

It was a rare occasion where the BAU didn't have a case on a Saturday. Henry was so excited to be going to a soccer game, especially with it being close to his birthday. JJ didn't know if she was ready to meet Emily's son considering this was a secret that no one on the team knew, or anyone really. It felt wrong to be meeting him since her and Will worked things out. The day Emily wore the red shirt with tight pants, and her thigh holster to work, JJ was so sexually frustrated that she called Will. He flew in, and the very next day, her and Will ended up sleeping together. JJ didn't know whether her heart belonged to Emily or Will. She's very confused with her emotions towards both of them. One minute she felt she belonged to Emily. The next she felt as if it were Will. She knew she didn't love Will like she loved Emily, but she found herself missing Will.

"Okay. Henry has all the snacks a kid could possibly need for a road trip. I packed you some Cheeto's, and I packed some Hello Panda's for myself. No, you may not have any of my Panda's." Emily said, breaking JJ out of her thought.

"Lucky for you I'm happy with my Cheeto's." JJ said causing Emily to chuckle.

"Ease up a bit. He's going to love you guys." Emily said, noticing JJ looking nervous and tense.

"I'm just nervous he won't. I mean, I know he will probably be protective of you considering what his dad did. I just don't want him thinking that I'm just like his father." JJ said.

"I will make sure he will know that you're nothing like him. We better get going if we want to be there on time." Emily said. JJ nodded, and they loaded up into Emily's car. Emily put in the information of where they were headed and then began the hour and 10 minute drive. JJ chose the music, and she picked to listen to a lot of Harry Styles songs along with Five Finger Death Punch songs. When they were about 10 minutes out, JJ began to feel the nerves. She felt like she was about to throw up when they pulled into the parking spot. They unloaded the car and walked over to the gates and waited in line to get into the game. The wait wasn't very long, so it was in no time that they were past the gates and able to find a seat. They sat in the middle so they weren't too close but not too far away that they couldn't see. Emily was excited because this was the first soccer game she was able to see in person. After the National Anthem was played, it was time for the game to begin. It was an intense first half as two players were injured; one from Johns Hopkins University, and one from Rowan University. There were a lot of close goals, but both goalies were great and were able to block well. During halftime, JJ, EMily, and Henry decided to get something to eat from the concession stand.

"I miss soccer." JJ said.

"Why didn't you join an adult league or something?" Emily asked.

"I can't with our job." JJ said.

"True."

"So are you going to tell me which one is your son?" JJ asked.

"You'll find out after the game, or during if he ends up scoring." Emily said. "Honestly, I'm kind of surprised you couldn't tell considering we look so much alike."

"I have a hunch at which number he is, but I will wait until after the game." JJ said. The second half began, and it started turning very aggressive for both teams. That fueled the players for Johns Hopkins, and they eventually were able to score.

"And there's the first goal of the season made by Luca Prentiss!" the announcer said. Fans shouted, and the team celebrated the goal before moving on with the game. That ended up being the only goal of the game.

"So I was right. He is number 23." JJ said.

"Well you're about to meet him because he's walking this way." Emily said, looking behind JJ.

"Mom!" he said very surprised but excited. He ran up to her gave her a huge hug. "I had no idea you were coming to the game!"

"I wanted to surprise you! You did so well!" Emily said.

"It wouldn't be possible without the assistance of Travis." he told her.

"Well I'm glad I got to see your first game in person." Emily told him. They were speaking Italian, so JJ had no idea what they were saying. "I want you to meet someone very special to me as well as her son."

"Is she your girlfriend?" he asked. Emily nodded her head 'yes'.

"Luca, this is JJ and Henry. JJ, Henry, this is my son Luca." Emily said, introducing them.

"It's very nice to meet you." Luca said, holding out his hand to shake JJ's hand. JJ did and said,

"It's lovely meeting you too." Luca crouched down to Henry so he could be somewhat eye level with him.

"It's nice meeting you little guy!" he said. Henry was shy but gave Luca a fist bump. "So we can go somewhere to eat and talk more. I know this great restaurant that my friends and I go to all the time!" Luca said.

"Sure! We could always eat! Is that okay with you?" Emily asked JJ.

"Of course!" JJ said. Luca told them the name of the restaurant and said that he should be there in about 20 minutes since he had to take a quick shower before going anywhere. Emily, JJ, and Henry filed into Emily's car and drove to the restaurant. They told the host that there would be four of them, so she sat them at the last four-top table. Luca showed up right as the waitress was at their table to take their order. After ordering, Luca started to question JJ.

"So where did you meet my mom?" he asked.

"We've worked together for almost six years now." JJ answered.

"What are your intentions with her?" he asked. On the inside, JJ was heartbroken because of what harm she's caused Emily without Emily's knowledge, but she couldn't let that show.

"Well, I'm not just using her or anything like that. I love her so much, and she's the one that I can see myself marrying later on down the road when the time is right." JJ answered.

"So you would never intentionally hurt her emotionally or physically?" he questioned.

"Of course not." JJ said. She knew she's already broken that, but she loves Emily and hopes she never finds out the truth.

"Mommy, gotta potty." Henry says.

"Okay buddy. Let's go-"

"Emmy take me?" he asked.

"I'll take him. You two can continue your conversation." Emily said. JJ nodded, and JJ helped Henry down from his booster seat so he could use the bathroom. JJ was thankful that he was already starting to potty train.

"Look, I'm sorry about all the questions about your intentions with my mom. I just don't want her to be with someone like my dad. You seem really nice, which is already off to a good start. My mom deserves to be happy, and it seems like you make her really happy." he told JJ.

"Emily is really special, and she deserves the world. I honestly don't know why she chose to date me, of all people. I'm nothing really spectacular. I don't even know if I am capable of giving her the world. But everyday I try my best to be the best girlfriend I can be." JJ said.

"That's good to know. I know my mom has closed a lot of people out of her life because of what happened." Luca said.

"Yeah. I honestly had no idea about the second time. I guess no one on our team knows either. I just learned earlier this week." JJ said.

"It was a tough time for her, so it's understandable. Now, tell me about yourself so I can know you a little bit better." he said.

"Well I grew up in East Allegheny, Pennsylvania. I was involved in karate, dance, soccer, figure skating, softball, and competitive cheerleading. Karate was only up until my sophomore year of high school, though. I did receive an athletic scholarship to the University of Pittsburg, but I decided to go to Georgetown. My senior year I decided I wanted to work for the FBI, so I enrolled in the academy the Fall after I graduated college." JJ said.

"Why did you decide to go to Georgetown if you had a scholarship to the University of Pittsburg?"

"Georgetown felt more like home to me. Now what about you? Who is Luca Prentiss?" JJ asked.

"Well I grew up in Italy until I was 18. I came here to the states so I could go to college here. I am a citizen now. I decided to to take a few years off because I didn't want my mom to have to pay for my college. So I got a job and saved up enough money to start college. I am a freshman majoring in biology with the pre-med track and minoring in music. There is a reason behind that. I want to be a cardiothoractic surgeon. I am currently 21. I'm on the soccer team here, and my favorite food is anything with carbs." he answered.

"You and Henry are gonna get along great then." JJ said with a chuckle.

"Hey! We would've been back sooner, but Henry saw a stuffed dinosaur. I may or may not have bought it for him." Emily said, helping Henry back into his booster seat with his new stuffed dinosaur.

"Awesome! Is that a veloctisaurus?" Luca asked with excitement. The name caused Henry to laugh.

"No! It's t-wex!" Henry said, still laughing, which caused JJ and Emily to laugh. They were at the restuarant for nearly two hours before Luca had to get back since he had classes in the morning as well as some homework to get done. They said their goodbyes, and Henry was sad to leave already. On the car ride back to Washington D.C., Henry had falled asleep leaving just JJ and Emily.

"This was really nice. I think it went great." Emily said.

"It did. Luca is a nice kid, and I think he's turned out to be quite a nice young man." JJ said.

"He has. I was worried he wouldn't since I wasn't there to actually parent him. But I think the couple that had him raised him very well." Emily said, starting to tear up. JJ noticed this and felt sad for Emily.

"You're still his mother, Emily, and he loves you. He knows you're his mom, and he understands why you did what you did. You may not have been there for a lot of his life, but he knows that you love him. He calls you 'mom', and I don't think he would if he hated you. He loves you." JJ said.

"I know, it's just- it's hard to think that he grew up without my help. He grew up without me present in his life everyday. I just wish I could go back and be in his life." Emily said.

"Understandable. I know I would wish the same thing if I were in your shoes." JJ said.

"But then, I probably wouldn't be in the FBI, I wouldn't have met you or Henry, I probably would still be in Italy. So in a way, I'm happy life turned out the way it did because then I wouldn't have met the love of my life." Emily said, looking over at JJ for a second. JJ looked back at her with so much love in her eyes. JJ and Emily both turned their focus back to the road.

"Emily!!" JJ shrieked in fear.
