"Are you sure you guys are all okay?" the paramedic asked.

"We're sure. How's the other guy doing?" JJ asked.

"He's in critical condition. We suspect he was driving under the influence, but we have to wait until the hospital does his tox screen." the paramedic answered. While Emily was driving, a car had swerved into their lane. The car almost hit them head on, but Emily was able to swerve into the ditch and hit the telephone pole. The other car had swerved back into his lane, but he had swerved too much and ran into a brick house head on. JJ was glad that no one in their car was hurt, especially Henry.

"Since your car is totaled, you could either have someone pick you guys up if there are no injuries, or I could drive you back to the station, and you can wait there until someone is able to. It's up to you guys." the officer said.

"Who are we even gonna call?" Emily asked.

"Ghostbusters!" Henry shouted, causing everyone to chuckle.

"We could call Pen." JJ suggested. Emily nodded her head, and so JJ called Penelope saying what happened. Penelope was on her way after she hear the word accident without hesitation. They stayed on the side of the road and observed the firefighters extracting the other guy from his car. About half an hour later, Penelope shows up. JJ carries the carseat over to her car, and Emily brings their stuff while holding Henry's hand.

"I'm so glad you guys are okay!" Penelope says while running up to them. She hugs them the best she could.

"We're glad too." Emily says. JJ installs the car seat and loads Henry into it. Emily sits up front while JJ sits in the back so she could be with Henry. On the way back to D.C., Penelope was talking, but then she realizes that they all had fallen asleep, so she put on some music so the drive wasn't quiet. When she was outside JJ's house, she quietly woke up JJ and Henry. JJ figured that Emily would want to stay with her, so she woke up Emily. JJ startled Emily, so Emily woke up in a panic. This scared the daylights out of JJ. "I'm sorry. You just scared me." Emily said.

"It's okay. I figured you would want to stay with me tonight." JJ said.

"Yeah. I really don't want to go home." Emily said. They gathered their things and went inside after saying their goodbyes to Penelope and thanking her for picking them up.

~September 13th~

I has been a week since the accident. They all have been good, but they did hear that the other guy didn't make it. It was Henry's second birthday, and he wanted a dinosaur themed birthday party. Emily was making his cake while JJ got around the decorations and everything. "Mom, I'm here! I also brought the whipped cream and food coloring you asked for." Luca said, after JJ let him in.

"Oh thank you so much! I can't believe I forgot this, of all things!" Emily said with a chuckle.

"I mean you did forget the pasta for spaghetti, and then when you remembered, you forgot to put the water into the pot to boil the noodles." Luca said, reminding Emily of her cooking fiasco when she was visiting him for Christmas. He wanted spaghetti for dinner the night before Christmas, so she wanted to make it for him. Needless to say, she just ordered it from a restaurant after that incident.

"Point taken." Emily said, grabbing the ingredients from him and went back into the kitchen to finish up Henry's birthday cake. She ended up making a three layer vanilla cake with whipped cream frosting (Henry's request), a baby t-rex, and 'Happy 2nd Birthday Henry' written on it. She added two shades of green on the side, chocolate drip over the edge, green and black spinkles around the side and then a couple trees on top near the t-rex. It wasn't perfect and definitely didn't look professional, but it was what she could come up with on the fly. Since she had time and bought toy dinosaurs, she decided to add the cake to a bigger cake stand and added a couple dinosaurs to the front of it.

After everyone arrived, they began to eat the dinosaur shaped sandwiches (also Henry's request) along with chips and a few other sides. Then it was time to sing 'Happy Birthday' to him. As they began singing, JJ brought out the cake, careful to not tip it over. Henry was so happy with it. After eating cake, it was time for him to open his presents. He got so many new dinosaurs along with some other things. He was definitely a happy kid.

After the long day and everyone but Luca left, JJ and Emily were tired. Henry was playing with his new dinosaurs in the living room with Luca. Henry had been attached to him since he arrived. "Mom, JJ, why don't you two get some sleep? I can stay down here with Henry while you two get some sleep." Luca said.

"You don't have to do that, Luca. Trust me, he's a lot to handle some days." JJ said with a little chuckle.

"I want to. I see how tired you two are. You deserve some sleep." Luca said.

"Are you sure?" JJ asked.

"Of course. He's like the little brother I never had," Luca said, which warmed both JJ and Emily's hearts. "Go sleep. I will take care of him while you guys are sleeping. I'm CPR certified, and if anything bad does happen, then I will call 911 and wake you guys up." Luca said.

"Okay. Just please, no more sugar. He will be hyper until tomorrow if he eats anymore." JJ said which caused Luca and Emily to chuckle.

"I promise I won't give him anymore sugar." Luca said. JJ nodded and told Henry that he was going to be spending a few hours with Luca. He was excited because he could continue playing dinosaurs with him. JJ and Emily headed upstairs to JJ's room. They stripped from their clothes and put on some pajamas. They hop into bed, and JJ immediately snuggles up to Emily.

"I love you." Emily said to JJ.

"I love you too," JJ replied. "Can you sing to me?" JJ asked. Emily nodded her head 'yes' and began singing one of JJ's favorite songs, which was 'Hold On To Me' by Lauren Daigle. JJ fell asleep about halfway through while Emily fell asleep nearly right after she sang the entire song.
