"E-Emily it's not-"

"What, it's not what it looks like? It LOOKS LIKE you're fucking your ex-husband in our bed. OUR BED!" Emily shouted.

"E-Em-"

"JJ, just tell her the truth." Will said, putting his pants back on.

"Will, I-I can't te-"

"Just tell me! What the fuck is going on, JJ? What was it that Will was going to tell me before you threatened to call the cops on him?" Emily asked, remembering the night of their friendsgiving. JJ looked down with shame written all over her face. Tears began falling out of her eyes before taking a deep breath.

"When I asked you on a date, it wasn't because I was interested in you. Will dared me to ask you because he saw how you looked at me with that spark in your eye. I didn't think you liked me. You're my best friend, and that's all I saw you as. But I was in too deep after we went on our first date. Will said he gave us three months before we broke up, so I was bound to be with you for that long before breaking up with you. He told me that I didn't have to go through with the dare, but I'm not one to back out. After his point was proven, he told me I could call it quits, but I didn't. I never expected to actually fall in love with you. But-"

"Wooow, JJ. So this entire time you've been lying to me? I poured my heart out to you and shared my biggest secret! Yet this entire time I've been making a fool of myself thinking you actually liked me! I should've listened to my instincts and said 'no'."

"Em-"

"NO! I don't care about what you have to say next. You know, I may have been jealous of you and Will when you got together, but I eventually learned to be happy for you. As long as you were happy, I was happy. I had finally gotten over you! I was even talking to a great woman! It was finally my time to be happy, and then you come along. Of course I decided to say 'yes'. And now you've shattered my heart and ripped all of the happiness out with it. I will never trust anyone enough to date them and have the chance to be happy and have a life with them, so congrats JJ! You won the dare. And you know what? I don't have many regrets, but you? You're my biggest regret." Emily said and stormed out with tears streaming down her face. Her heart had been shattered, and she didn't know where to go or what she was doing. She just began walking until she found herself in front of Hotchs' apartment building. She took the elevator to his floor and knocked on the door. He opened the door with a confused look.

"Emily? What-" Emily didn't give him time to finish his sentence. She hugged him before sobbing. He was like the older brother she never had, and so she felt comfortable enough to tell him everything. Hotch brought Emily inside before sitting down on the couch. Emily explained everything, and Hotch couldn't believe his ears. It didn't sound like JJ at all. But Emily never cries, so he knew that it had to be true.

He didn't offer any advice mainly because he was truly speechless. But he did offer a shoulder to cry on, and that's all Emily really needed in that moment. However, she did end up falling asleep with her head laying on his lap. Hotch carefully got up without disturbing her and put a blanket over her. He then called Emily's mom explaining what had happened. Elizabeth gave Emily a couple hours to rest before showing up to pick her up. Since she wasn't awake yet, Elizabeth decided to wake her up. When Emily saw Elizabeth, she clung onto her and began crying again. "I-I-I th-thought-" Emily tried getting out but couldn't.

"I know, peanut. Hotch explained it to me," Elizabeth said, comforting Emily. "Come on. Lets get you home." Elizabeth said before thanking Hotch. Elizabeth drove them to her mansion and had Emily follow her to the kitchen so she could make coffee.

"Am I unloveable?" Emily asked out of the blue.

"Of course not. You are very much loveable." Elizabeth said.

"Well is it how I look? My weight? My ugliness? Something had to drive JJ to make the decision to basically make me a laughing stalk." Emily said.

"Honey, I don't think JJ made the horrible decision she made because of those things. You are beautiful no matter how you look, and your weight is perfectly fine. You're my perfect little snow bean." Elizabeth said.

"I don't think a snow bean is a real thing, mom." Emily pointed out.

"You could make a bean shaped out of sn- you know what? That's not what we're focusing on. My point is that you're a beautiful woman no matter what anyone else says or thinks about you." Elizabeth said to Emily.

"Whatever. I'm just going to head to sleep." Emily said, getting up from her seat.

"You don't want any coffee?" Elizabeth asked, knowing it was unlike her daughter to turn down coffee.

"No. Good night, mom." Emily said and headed up to one of the guest bedrooms. Elizabeth sighed and began to aggressively clean whatever she could find that needed cleaning. It wasn't that she was mad at Emily. She was angry with JJ for playing Emily and made her believe that she loved her. A couple hours later, something was telling her to check on Emily. She couldn't shake the bad feeling, so she did.

"Emily!" Elizabeth screamed before running to Emily's side.
