"Jayje, what's your mom doing here?" Emily asked as her, Brandi, and Arybella were about to head out. JJ looked to where Emily was looking and saw her mother with a guilty look on her face.

"I don't know," JJ mumbled and walked over to her mother. "Mom? What are you doing here?" JJ asked.

"I'm so sorry, I should've told you when you were little. You're going to hate me." Sandy said.

"What are you talking about?" JJ asked.

"You have another sister. A younger sister. She's seven years younger than you. I couldn't take care of her plus you and Rosaline. Not since your father left. That's the real reason why he left, by the way. Not because of his job, but because I had gotten pregnant again. With the job I had, we could barely get by, so I had no choice but to give her up for adoption. Then she could be with a family that's able to take care of her. She found me a few months ago and reached out. I met up with her once and explained everything. She got out the pent up rage she had towards me, and we shed some tears too. I'm so sorry for not telling you sooner. I-"

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" JJ asked.

"I didn't know how you'd react. I was ashamed that I had to give my child up for adoption because I didn't have enough to take care of her. But I'm telling you now because she's in the hospital currently, and they don't know if she's going to make it or not." Sandy said. JJ scoffed.

"So you're just now informing me that I have a baby sister, not because you want to, but because she is dying?" JJ asked.

"I know, I'm so sorry. But she really wants to meet you, and I think that if you visit her, it will cheer her up a bit." Sandy said.

"I'm just trying to process the fact that I have another sister that you've hid from me this entire time and did't bother to tell me until now!" JJ said, starting to raise her voice.

"I get that, but please can you get on the plane with me so we can get to the hospital?" Sandy asked.

"Wait, plane? Isn't she in D.C.?" JJ asked.

"I'm afraid not. She's in Seattle." Sandy said. JJ sighed.

"Take a week off, JJ. Get to know your sister." Hotch said, overhearing the heated conversation.

"It's a little hard to do that when she's in the hospital." JJ mumbled.

"Lets go get Henry, and we'll go to the airport." Sandy said. JJ texted the sitter and asked her to have a bag packed for Henry so they could just head straight for the airport. She paid the sitter extra just for having his bag packed so quickly.

"Where are we going mommy?" Henry asked.

"We're gonna go on a little adventure. Is that okay, buddy?" JJ asked as she strapped him in.

"Yeah!" he said excitedly. JJ drove to the airport and park her car. They all went into the building, and they got tickets for the next flight that leaves for Seattle. That wasn't for another hour, so they went to the terminal and sat until they were called. As they were in the air, JJ realized that her mom never told her the name of her sister.

"Mom, what's her name?" JJ asked quietly since it was night time, and just about everyone was asleep.

"Her name's Maya Bishop." Sandy said.

"Wait, like the olympic track star Maya Bishop?" JJ asked.

"Yeah. That's her." Sandy said.

"So why is she in the hospital?" JJ asked.

"She's suffered from severe smoke inhilation as well as head trauma. She's a fire fighter, and she couldn't get out of the building on time. Her team went in to rescue her and transported her to the hospital immediately. She also has a couple burns, but those aren't too bad." Sandy answered.

"So I'm assuming that somethin fell on top of her and knocked off her mask?" JJ asked.

"Yes, that's what it sounds like. We won't know the full story until we get there." Sandy said. JJ nodded her head and stopped asking questions. Instead she looked out the window. Her mind went to Emily. Emily has been filling her mind, and she hates herself for it. She knows that Emily's moved on, but she can't seem to move on from her. She was at her happiest when she was with Emily, and she ruined it all by not being truthful. JJ was lost in thought all of the happy memories she had with Emily that she missed the announcment for seat belts to be put on until her mom nudged her. JJ put her seat belt on as well as Henry's and waited for the plane to land. After getting off and getting the luggage, they got a taxi and went straight to the hospital after dropping their bags off at the hotel.

"Excuse me, can you tell me where Maya Bishop is?" Sandy asked.

"Yes, let me just look," the receptionist said and typed on the computer. "It looks like she's in room 4827." she said. Sandy thanked her, and they went to the elevator. After the doors opened up, Sandy walked quickly to find the room. Once she did, she hesitated to go in.

"What's wrong mom?" JJ asked.

"What if she doesn't really want to see me? I mean, I did abandon her as a baby." Sandy said.

"Mom, you guys have already met. I'm sure she wants you here. She's honestly probably not expecting you to be here." JJ said.

"Well she had to have put my number down on something since the hospital called me." Sandy said.

"Okay but that doesn't mean she's expecting you to drop everything to see her. Plus she most likely isn't even up considering it's midnight their time." JJ said. Sandy sighed and opened the door. She walked in, and JJ was right. Maya was sound asleep, but that's a good thing considering what she's been through.

"Mommy, who's that?" Henry asked, pointing at Maya.

"That is your aunt Maya." JJ answered.

"But I never met her." he said.

"I know buddy. But you will once she wakes up and is healthy." JJ said.

"I'm tired." he said. JJ sat down on the chair and rocked Henry as best as she could considering how pregnant she was.

"You must be her mom." a nurse said walking into the room.

"I technically am. It's a long story." Sandy said.

"I think I have an idea. But she's doing quite well considering how much smoke she inhaled. We are keeping her overnight and possibly tomorrow as well depending on how well she is. She does have a slight concussion, but that should resolve in just a few days. A couple burns and some bruises, but other than that she's great." the nurse said.

"Thank you." Sandy said. As the nurse was checking the vital signs, Maya woke up. She coughed a few times before looking around. She first saw Sandy.

"Sandy? You actually came?" Maya asked hoarsely.

"I did. I'm not here alone, though," Sandy said. Maya looked aver to the left a little bit more and saw JJ and Henry. "That's Jennifer, your sister, and her son Henry." Sandy said. JJ smiled and waved at her.

"I can't believe you're real! I've always wanted a sister." Maya said with a smile.

"Well I guess your wish came true. Also, you can call me JJ." JJ said.

"Well, JJ, it's nice to finally meet you and Henry." Maya said.

"Likewise. Hey mom, can you take Henry for a second? I really need to use the bathroom." JJ said. JJ walked out of the room and accidentally bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry!" they said. It was a man's voice.

"It's okay. It was my fault." JJ said.

"I'm Jack." he said, holding out his hand.

"Jennifer." JJ said, shaking it.

"You know Maya?" he asked, noticing her coming of his friend/captain's room.

"Hardly. I just found out a few hours ago that she's my sister that I never knew about." JJ said.

"I never knew she had a sister." he said.

"You know her?" JJ asked.

"Oh, I'm a friend and co-worker of hers." he answered.

"Gotcha. Well I'd love to chat, but I'm afraid my bladder will burst any second if I don't get to the bathroom soon." JJ said.

"Well I wouldn't want that to happen. It was nice to meet you." Jack said.

"You too." JJ said before running to the nearest bathroom. She made it with a split second to spare. After her bladder was empty, she washed her hands. As she was drying her hands, she felt a gush of fluid run down her legs and onto the floor. She looked down and saw a huge puddle of clear liquid, meaning only one thing. Her water just broke. She didn't know what to do. She was just frozen and couldn't move. Reality hit her as she was in a completely different state than her ob/gyn. Contractions started hitting her, and she decided she would stay put and time them. She was in the bathroom for about 20 minutes; contractions being about eight minutes apart. JJ hears the door open, but she couldn't see who it was since she was hunched over as a contraction was hitting.

"Hun, are you okay?" she hears a woman asked.

"My water broke, and I'm in labor." JJ answered in a pained voice.

"Okay. Lets get you in a wheelchair and to the labor and delivery floor. How far apart are your contractions?" she asked.

"About eight minutes apart." JJ said. The nurse helped JJ to where the wheelchairs were and had her sit down.

"Are you here with anyone?" the nurse asked.

"They're in room 4827." JJ said.

"Okay. I will have one of the nurses inform them that you are in labor. Who's your doctor?" she asked.

"Dr. Niesan." JJ answered.

"Um, I've been here for nearly 10 years, and we don't have an ob/gyn by that name." she said.

"Well that's probably because I'm from Virginia." JJ said.

"Yeah that explains it. We have an on call ob/gyn. Her name is Dr. DeLuca, and she's great. I will give her a call and update her until she is able to get here." she said as she wheeled JJ into the elevator. They went up three floors and went into an available room. They asked her all of the basic questions like name, date of birth, primary care doctor, etc. After the nurse walked out, the door opened soon after and revealed Jack.

"Jack? What are you doing here? Why are you here?" JJ asked, starting to feel unsafe.

"I'm not stalking you or anything. I was with your mom and Maya. Your mom sent me up to be with you because she didn't want to leave Henry or have to move him." Jack explained.

"Oh well that's great. My own mother would rather spend her time with a daughter she gave up as a baby than with the daughter she's known who is about to give birth. So instead she sends up a complete stranger that I only talked to for a few seconds and uses my son as an excuse." JJ said with tears starting to fall. She was starting to feel like she cared more about Maya than her.

"Hey, hey it's going to be okay. I know we don't know each other, but I'm here to help with whatever I can." Jack said. In this moment, JJ just wanted Emily to comfort her and tell her that everything was going to be okay. But she knew Emily couldn't just drop what she was doing and fly out to Seattle.

"Right now I just need a hug." JJ said.

"I can do that." Jack said. He walked over to the side of the hospital bed and hugged JJ. JJ started sobbing, and oddly enough, JJ felt like Jack was great at comforting her. Once JJ was calmed down, JJ pulled away from her.

"Thank you." JJ said.

"No problem. Do you need ice chips or anything?" he asked.

"That actually would be great." JJ answered.

"Okay. I will be right back." he said and walked out. For once in a long time, JJ felt like she didn't have to rely on Emily for comfort. Jack came back with the ice chips as well as Dr. DeLuca. She went over some things with JJ before allowing JJ to try and get some rest before having to birth a human being. Two hours later, JJ gave birth to a healthy baby boy who she named Michael James LaMontagne. Jack had the honors of cutting the umbilical cord.

After JJ woke up, she used the bathroom and was ready to eat breakfast. Before her breakfast arrived, the nurse rolled in Michael. "He's awake and ready to see his momma!" the nurse said with a smile. JJ smiled and picked him up carefully. She knew he was probably hungry, so she made Jack leave the room so she could breast feed Michael. Her breakfast arrived within 10 minutes, so she ate with her left hand as her right was holding onto Michael. After they both were done eating, and Michael was fast asleep, JJ decided to facetime the entire team and Elle to surprise them. They all picked up around the same time, and Garcia screamed a happy scream.

"You had him?! Ahh this is so amazing!" Garcia shouted. There was a wave of congratulations, and JJ told them the whole story of what went on. JJ could see a little wave of jealousy on Emily's face when she mentioned Jack, and that made JJ smirk a little bit.

"It hasn't even been 24 hours, and Miss Pennsylvania Petite already has a boyfriend!" Derek said.

"There's nothing going on between us. I literally just met him last night, well, I guess technically today since it was after midnight their time. But he's been there for me this entire time." JJ said. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. JJ said to come in, and in comes Henry, Sandy, and Maya along with Dr. DeLuca and Jack.

"Mommy!" Henry said as he ran up to JJ.

"Hey buddy! Meet your little brother Michael." JJ said. Henry already loves him so much. "Guys, I would like you to meet my little sister Maya Bishop, Jack who I told you about, and Dr. DeLuca who delivered Michael." JJ said, paning her phone over to the group.

"And also her little sister's wife." Carina said.

"Wait, you're married to Maya?" JJ asked. Carina nodded her head. "Huh. Small world." JJ said.

"Wait! Is your sister, like, THE Maya Bishop? As in the olympic gold medalist?" Derek asked.

"Yes, Derek." JJ answered. They all carried on a conversation for a half hour before JJ had to use the bathroom. JJ, for once, kind of felt at peace. There weren't any cases, no work drama, no Emily to think about. Just life and two little ones to take care of as well as a sister to catch up on life with.
