Many years after the Mockingjay Rebellion, Panem Museum's director Mercedes Vonheli receives a collection of "Master tapes" of the Hunger Games, and decided to write a history book about each Games as well as the culture and society of Panem. 22. The Grassland Arena

75 Years Chapter 22

The success of the 21st Hunger Games prompted Head Gamemaker Coriolanus Snow a challenge. How can he surpass the moorland Arena in which Alexei won in? He decided on a grassland Arena, with the only mutts being eagle mutts.

The Tributes:

District 1: Alexandria Banda (17), Derby McGuire (17)

District 2: Thisbe Flattum (17), Polaris Swiatek (16)

District 3: Cordalie Oritz (13), Ranto Plett (16)

District 4: Rain McGee (18), Clinton Boscotti (15)

District 5: Polonina Bachega (13), Helios Molyneux (16)

District 6: Honda Churchwood (15), Vincent Caprotti (17)

District 7: Hannah Kackurri (13), Sawdust Hession (17)

District 8: Boa Osimhen (16), Dyla Sinfield (17)

District 9: Naan Stokes (14), Sourdough Ferguson (13)

District 10: Edie Barraclough (16), Wycombe McDonald (15)

District 11: Buttercup O'Hara (14), Hip Moreno (17)

The Games:

As the Tributes stood in the open grassland, they waited for the gong that will mark the beginning of the 22nd Hunger Games. The moment the gong rang, the Districts 1 and 2 ran to the Cornucopia, where they would be responsible for cutting the field down by ten Tributes, with Thisbe making the first kill when she shoved a knife into a smaller girl's head.

24th: Cordalie Oritz, District 3. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Thisbe. Bloodbath.

Alexandria and Derby would be responsible for the next two kills, when armed with a sword and a spear, both would attack a pair of dark-haired Tributes. Alexandria hacking off the boy's limbs while Derby speared the girl.

23rd: Pick Leggett, District 12. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Alexandria. Bloodbath

22nd: Firya Burrow, District 12. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Derby. Bloodbath

Picking up a large hammer, Polaris slammed it into a small girl.

21st: Polonina Bachega, District 5. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Polaris. Bloodbath

Alexandria had just finished slashing up a small boy.

20th: Sourdough Ferguson, District 9. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Alexandria. Bloodbath.

Derby speared a boy through the heart.

19th: Clinton Boscotti, District 4. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Derby. Bloodbath

Meanwhile, Polaris has clubbed another Tribute to death.

18th: Hannah Kackurri, District 7. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Polaris. Bloodbath.

Thisbe made her second kill of the Games, hacking a tall boy from the Technology District

17th: Ranto Plett, District 3. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Thisbe. Bloodbath

Deciding to go for some throwing knives, Alexandria threw a knife at a stocky boy.

16th: Hip Moreno, District 11. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Alexandria. Bloodbath

The final kill of the Bloodbath would be made by Polaris, who swung his hammer through the skull of a girl carrying a large bag.

15th: Boa Osimhen, District 8. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Polaris. Bloodbath.

As Day 2 dawned another Tribute was killed as she slept in the grass.

14th: Naan Stokes, District 9. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Thisbe. Day 2

Naan's death would be followed by two more Tribute deaths, both at the hands of Derby. Armed with a bow, he fired the arrow at a girl from District 11.

13th: Buttercup O' Hara, District 11. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Derby. Day 2

Shortly after, Derby found a boy from District 7. With arrow in place, he fired it, the arrow piercing the boy's windpipe.

12th: Sawdust Hession, District 7. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Derby. Day 2.

Days 3 and 4 passed by without deaths, but on Day 5, Derby accidentally shot Polaris in the heart.

11th: Polaris Swiatek, District 2. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Derby. Day 5.

Thisbe, now angry at her District Partner's death, drew her knife out and slit Derby's throat.

10th: Derby McGuire, District 1. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Thisbe. Day 5

In retaliation, Alexandria slashed at Thisbe, resulting in the Final Eight.

9th: Thisbe Flattum, District 2. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Alexandria. Day 5.

The Final Eight were: Alexandria Banda of District 1, Rain McGee of District 4, Helios Molyneux of District 5, Honda Churchwood of District 6, Vincent Caprotti of District 6, Dyla Sinfield of District 8, Edie Barraclough of District 10 and Wycombe McDonald of District 10.

On Day 7, Alexandria decided to hunt down the remaining Tributes. The first Tribute she encountered was Wycombe, and with her throwing knives, dispatched the tall boy.

8th: Wycombe McDonald, District 10. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Alexandria. Day 7

Alexandria would soon get her second and third kills of the day, when she threw her knives at a pair of Tributes; the knives impaled the boy in the gut, and his District Partner in the chest.

7th: Vincent Caprotti, District 6. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Alexandria. Day 7

6th: Honda Churchwood, District 6. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Alexandria. Day 7

But this wasn't the end of Alexandria's killing spree, as by the afternoon, the Tributes left would go down to two. A trio was next to fall, all three killed by the District 1 girl's knives.

5th: Rain McGee, District 4. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Alexandria. Day 7

4th: Dyla Sinfield, District 8. 22nd Hunger Games, Killed by Alexandria. Day 7

3rd: Edie Barraclough, District 10. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Alexandria. Day 7.

Alexandria managed to catch up to the final Tribute, and in a long and bitter fight, Helios' strength was the deciding factor.

2nd: Alexandria Banda, District 1. 22nd Hunger Games. Killed by Helios. Day 7

As fatigue began to set in, Helios waited for the Hovercraft to carry him out of the Arena.

1st: Helios Molyneux, District 5. 22nd Hunger Games. VICTOR

Aftermath:

Helios' victory would be celebrated in District 5, who managed to gain their second Victor ten years after Tammy's victory. Unfortunately, Helios' good looks made him a target for the Capitol, and he ended up becoming the first victim of the Victors' Prostitution Ring. Helios would die around the 65th Hunger Games, a victim of alcohol. The ring in which he was a victim of would eventually fall.
