Many years after the Mockingjay Rebellion, Panem Museum's director Mercedes Vonheli receives a collection of "Master tapes" of the Hunger Games, and decided to write a history book about each Games as well as the culture and society of Panem. 23. The Ski Resort Arena

75 Years Chapter 23

Author's Note: I do not own The Hunger Games

Following the success of the 22nd Hunger Games, Gamemaker Coriolanus Snow decided to go for a unique Arena. Inspired by old photos of people skiing on ski slopes, he decided the Arena should be a Ski Resort. Amongst the Mutts were mountain goats and yeti.

The Tributes:

District 1: Chanel Angloumeme (18), Kyranite Stanway (16)

District 2: Paula Kerr (17), Cliff Laverne (18)

District 3: Levinia Paley (15), Neil Spivey (18)

District 4: Damla Heard (14), Muir Dyrdyra (17)

District 5: Plutonia Maywell (16), Mellan Rojas (17)

District 6: Styx Cernan (14), Moto Schmidt (13)

District 7: Rachel Oakley (17), Whitt Allen (16)

District 8: Virginia Osimhen (16), Pincushion Withers (15)

District 9: Anise Perez (12), Couscous Ferguson (13)

District 10: Alisa Gedling (13), Timadeuc Brychczy (13)

District 11: Plantine Trendak (14), Bacchus Sullivan (15)

District 12: Collie Piper (16), Ronnie Otten (15).

The Games:

As the Tributes stood around the Cornucopia, they stared at the sight. The landscape was covered in snow, with ski lifts going down the mountain. The area around the Cornucopia would be stained red with blood of twelve Tributes as Chanel made the first kill, stabbing a small girl close to the lift.

24th: Anise Perez, District 9. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Chanel. Bloodbath

As Anise died, Paula found a bow and some arrows and shot it towards a trio of Tributes attempting to reach the lift.

23rd: Moto Schmidt, District 6. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Paula. Bloodbath

22nd: Timadeuc Brychczy, District 10. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Paula. Bloodbath

21st: Plantine Trendak, District 11. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Paula. Bloodbath

Kyranite, Chanel's District Partner, found a sword, and ran it through a boy attempting to flee the carnage.

20th: Ronnie Otten, District 12. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Kyranite. Bloodbath

A small fisher girl was next to fall, impaled by a spear thrown by Cliff.

19th: Damla Heard, District 4. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Cliff. Bloodbath

Paula fired a fourth arrow towards a small boy, and within seconds District 9 was knocked out of the Games.

18th: Couscous Ferguson, District 9. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Paula. Bloodbath

A slight girl was cut down by another javelin.

17th: Virginia Osimhen, District 8. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Cliff. Bloodbath

A startled boy fell down the mountain as he tried to flee the massacre.

16th: Bacchus Sullivan, District 11. 23rd Hunger Games. Fall. Bloodbath

One of Paula's arrows struck a girl in the throat.

15th: Levinia Paley, District 3. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Paula. Bloodbath

Another girl was cut down by Kyranite.

14th: Alisa Gedling, District 10. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Kyranite. Bloodbath

Cliff picked up a nearby javelin. Hurling it through the air, he watched as a fleeing Tribute was skewered.

13th: Mellan Rojas, District 5. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Cliff. Bloodbath.

The final kill of the Bloodbath was made by Chanel, who stabbed a boy she threw to the ground to death.

12th: Pincushion Withers, District 8. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Chanel. Bloodbath.

Days 2, 3 and 4 passed by without incident. Overnight, a blizzard whipped up, prompting Muir to get lost. On the morning of Day 5, he found himself on a ledge, with a Mountain goat beside him. The goat promptly gored the Tribute to death.

11th: Muir Dyrdyra, District 4. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Mountain goat mutts. Day 5.

Overnight on Day 6, another blizzard whipped up, freezing two Tributes to death.

10th: Plutonia Maywell, District 5. 23rd Hunger Games. Hypothermia. Day 6

9th: Collie Piper, District 12. 23rd Hunger Games. Hypothermia. Day 6

The Final Eight has been decided: Chanel Angloumeme of District 1, Kyranite Stanway of District 1, Paula Kerr of District 2, Cliff Lavene of District 2, Neil Spivey of District 3, Styx Cernan of District 6, Rachel Oakley of District 7 and Whitt Allen of District 7.

On Day 8, the yeti mutt roamed the Arena, killing two Tributes: a small girl and a sturdy boy.

8th: Styx Cernan, District 6. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Yeti Mutt. Day 8

7th: Neil Spivey, District 3. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Yeti Mutt. Day 8.

The rest of Day 8 passed by. On Day 9 the Gamemakers set off a series of avalanches to try and get the remaining six Tributes together. In the chaos, Cliff stabbed Chanel in the back.

6th: Chanel Angloumeme, District 1. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Cliff. Day 9.

Another Cannon had fired at the same time as Chanel's; the Cannon was for Whitt.

5th: Whitt Allen, District 7. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by avalanche. Day 9.

Kyranite, angry at the death of his District Partner, drew his sword out and slashed at Cliff, only stopping once Cliff's blood stained the snow.

4th: Cliff Lavene, District 2. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Kyranite. Day 9.

Now mad, Paula and Kyranite fought for hours, with the fight stopping once both mutually killed each other.

3rd: Kyranite Stanway, District 1. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Paula. Day 9

2nd: Paula Kerr, District 2. 23rd Hunger Games. Killed by Kyranite. Day 9

As night descended the Hovercraft began scanning the Arena for Rachel. The District 7 girl felt relief as she climbed aboard as the fanfare rang out.

1st: Rachel Oakley, District 7. 23rd Hunger Games. VICTOR.

Aftermath:

District 7 celebrated their third Victor, making them joint with District 1. Rachel Mentored a few Tributes, but at the end of the day, she wasn't cut out to be a Mentor. Rachel would die during the 74th Hunger Games.
