The Games:

As the Tributes emerged, they found themselves on a perfect replica of the Four Corners. A plate surrounded the Cornucopia, while a small shack stood on the edge of the vicinity. Beyond that was the desert landscape. As the gong rang the District 2 Careers ran to the Cornucopia, where Valour picked up a spear and speared it at a trembling Tribute huddled in fear against his plate.

Crown had just finished strangling a girl to death, the girl being the daughter of a Victor

As the Cannons rang, the Tributes scattered into the landscape as the Careers stood by the Cornucopia, watching from inside the horn as the Hovercraft collected the corpses of the dead.

On Day 2, Valour successfully stunned a boy from District 7. Placing the boy onto a cactus, he drew out his knife and began cutting into Alban's chest. As Alban woke up, he felt pain shoot through him before death embraced him as his blood splattered onto the cactus.

Later that day, Alban's District Partner was killed by Athena.

As Day 2 ended, a boy from District 11 perished through exhaustion.

Days 3 and 4 passed by with little action, but on Day 5 a girl died of dehydration.

An hour later, Athena and Valour found a pair of Tributes from District 8, and armed with their swords, slashed at them until they died.

As the sun set on Day 5, Treasure found a napping girl. Drawing out her weapon, she slit her throat.

This left the Final Eight: Crown Van Day of District 1, Treasure Parlour of District 1, Valour Amesbury of District 2, Athena Phillipson of District 2, Anchor McGregor of District 4, Thetis Colwill of District 4, Eric Vega of District 9 and Violet Letts of District 12.

No sooner than the Cannon went off for Crown did Treasure drew out her sword and lashed out at the two District 2 Tributes, attacking them: however, in the process, the pair from 2 inflicted wounds onto Treasure.

District has more than one Victor

Yes, the First Quarter Quell is here. Stuart White II is named after his uncle, who perished in the very first Games. Incidentally his District Partner Mercedes is related to another Tribute; her twin brother in fact. Remember at the end of Chapter 20 I mentioned Valour and Athena? They are the very first trained "Careers" and I headcanon the Careers got their start in the 25th Hunger Games.
