Chapter 7: The Return of Batman

We finally went to Wayne Tower.

When reinstated Bruce Wayne walks in.

Getting warm welcomes from the staff most of them were shocked for good reason given they thought he died but with Walter's cover there was nothing suspected.

When Bruce walks in his office he has a surprising guest…

"Tiffany?" Bruce asked, surprised.

"Hello Bruce. I didn't mean to drop by unannounced. I don't know if Daddy told you before he died but…I'm interning here." Tiffany said.

"We haven't kept in touch since I…left." Bruce said.

"Where did you go? I mean a whole year…and why fake your death?" Tiffany asked.

"I was…a target to Bane. The reactor you tried to use to blow up Gotham was invented from Wayne Enterprises. So…I had to lay low. If everyone thought I died no one would know where I am." Bruce said.

"I see." Tiffany said.

Tiffany looked up to the portrait of Lucius on the upper wall.

Tiffany tears up.

"I miss him too, Tiffany." Bruce said.

"I just…he spoke so highly of you. Sometimes I wonder if he looked at you…as a son…than my brother." Tiffany said.

"He and my father were close. Even built his train with you. They were like brothers." Bruce said.

"Guess that makes us cousins. Listen…thanks for everything Bruce but I have to get back to my lantern." Tiffany said.

"Come to me any time. Most nights I'm busy but I'm always here." Bruce said.

"Thanks." Tiffany said.

Tiffany walks to the door but unaware of Bruce…

…she had a printed update on Lex Luthor's Kryptonite discovery…

Fire raged in her eyes.

Bruce looked up at Lucius's portrait silently…

"We made a difference, old friends. I'll watch over Lucius. You have my word. Another old POWERFUL friend will even protect her." Bruce said.

Bruce then presses a button under his desk which opens a secret door on the wall which opens…the elevator…to applied sciences…

Later that night we joined back with Robin as he was investigating activity at the Amusement Mile…

He saw them moving things around. They were up to something Robin glides to the next roof.

As a Joker goon was on guard he expected nothing to happen.

Until…Robin smashes the glass from above and kicks him down from behind.

He then grabs him to interrogate him.

"You boss! Where is he?!" Robin called.

"He'll kill me!" Goon called.

"And what makes you think I won't?" Robin asked.

Blake pressed his boot on his throat, choking his words out…literally.

"Alright! He's on the roof. He's about to fly to Metropolis." Goon said.

"Not if I get him first." Robin said.

Robin knees him to knock him out and makes way to the roof.

But once he got there was a helicopter on the roof but no one was around.

Robin found this odd.

Till…Joker's men appear from behind him…

Robin realized it was an ambush.

"Very original. What makes you think I can't take you all." Robin said.

The goons behind him were all armed Robin was out of odds…

…until…

Battering flew in out of nowhere…

Confused, they looked up to the goons and even Robin's utter shock…

THE BATMAN…HAS RETURNED!

"Batman…ctrl Batman…" Robin said.

"It's him!" Goon said.

"But he's dead!" Goon 2 said.

"He's gotta be a ghost!" Goon 3 said.

"Can a ghost do this?!" Batman said.

Batman lunches for the attack beginning fighting the clowns and Robin joins the fight.

Batman and Robin pummeled the goons to a pulp their tag team worked professionally.

Batman punches a goon and Robin and bashes him down with his baton.

And then an overgrown clown with a hammer steps in…

"Looks like they saved the big guy for last!" Robin said.

"We'll take him down together." Batman said.

Batman and Robin attacked him at once the big guy yelled, throwing his hammer but they avoided his hammer by ducking and leaping over it…
