Liko -My name is Liko and I'm taking Uva Academy's Terastal Course with my friends including Dot and Roy. The three of us along with Lazuli, Kiawe, Mallow, Sophocles, Ash, and Lillie passed our Basics tests and after meeting more of Sarah's old friends, we came across a crystal substance called Laquium and learned of its devastating effects on Pokémon. Knowing the danger it presented, it was agreed that they would join us in our crusade against the Explorers as new members of the Rising Volt Tacklers. And, as the others complete their Basics tests, we're trying to finish our wild Pokémon reports while camping out on the way back to the academy.
The next few days passed in a flurry of excitement helped the heroes cool down after the tense lecture concerning the Laquium, its properties, the inner details of Gibeon and his relationships with Amethio, Marena, and Lucius, and the abrupt meeting of Keldara. While Diancie's second Keldeo friend was being looked over by Mollie, Izzy and Pipp were told they would have to stay a short while longer to provide their insights before they would return to Equestria much to the happy-go-lucky unicorn's dismay. But, of course, to keep her spirits up, Sarah promised she'd visit them soon.
With Jane and her Lucario, when the two were shown the Legendary and Mythical Pokémon under Sarah and Race's care, they were astounded. But, the kicker for them was the presence of their dragons, dinosaurs, and mythicals since she once heard (away from her family and Lightspeed Rescue) about the mythical creatures that once roamed the Alola Region five centuries ago in the Wizarding World (the rumblings she once heard proven to be true with their presence).
It was a bonus for Shadow, Winter, and their children as they were delighted to see Moonbeam, Veil, and their younglings again.
As for Captain Mitchell, Dana, Ryan, Commander Ryan, and Ryder, they and the PAW Patrol permitted the girls, Tuck, and Ella to stay and help them with the Explorers (to the delight of the two Mighty Pups).
This also applies to the rest of Rakke Corp and Alex as the little princess reassured them that Carla and Hazel will be looked after during their time with the Rising Volt Tacklers, especially since unlike their son with Feathers, they don't have a dragon companion.
With Wild, Leo, Rory, and Shade, they decided to remain in the Tower of Cat in Levincia until they were needed, allowing them to give the RVT's newbies a tour of their new home.
In the case of Seiya and Mary, Lazuli wanted to spend more time with them so with Friede and Cap's approval, they were allowed to go with their daughter (allowing them to continue making up for the last twenty years they had been apart).
For added safety measures, Sarah called Lusamine and proposed to her and the Aether Foundation that her friends' Ride Pokémon be brought over to Paldea as they were still in her Galar Castle safehouse to allow them to rejoin their partners and train with them. With no qualms, she immediately approved of the idea and sent Mallow's Flygon, Lillie's Altaria, Charizard, Garchomp, Metang, and Dragonair much to the delight of Ash and the Pokémon School Gang.
Then, it was time for the rest of the heroes to complete their Basics tests with Stacey, Jane, Carla, and Hazel making plans to return to Exceed and request the company for data on the Laquium and to make additional inquiries.
Carmine and Kieran were the first ones after Dot and Sophocles under Tulip's wing in the town of Alfornada at Alfornada in South Province Area Six and they managed to pass their test and take in the lesson that came from it despite losing her easy-going Fraigaraf and her obedient but violent Espathra.
With Kofu in Cascarrafa (on the edge of the Asado Desert in West Province (Area One)), Lacey and Drayton passed their test against his Crabominable after beating the powerful Ice/Fighting Type and Lana and Gladion did the same despite losing when it was their turn.
During their stay in Cascarrafa, the group went to Go-For-Broke Grill for a meal and ordered the Paella de Paldea with Fruit Punch and Escalivada and the Sugar-N-Ice stand for desert where they treated themselves to Mini Chocolate Chip, Fizzy, Strawberry and Mango Ice Cream Cones (frozen treats that the youngsters and the Terapagos Four loved when they tried them out).
Then, there was Medali City at the base of Glaseado Mountain's Dalizapa Passage and West Province (Area Three) and a short distance from Zero Gate (the entrance to Area Zero) for Amarys and Crispin's Basics tests with Larry. To the delight of everyone, despite losing to his Staraptor, they grasped the lesson he was teaching them and even Hau managed to complete his Basics test and grasp what he was taught by the gym leader he was assigned to when it was his turn (signifying that the heroes after Sarah, Race, and Asha had completed their Basics tests and were ready to complete their reports according to Arven as he kept track of their grades).
In the meantime, throughout their continued journey, Lazuli came across and battled an Electric Tera Type, a spunky male Jolteon who was a close friend of Tera living in West Province (Area One). After meeting and catching Tera's Electric Tera Type friend, the swordswoman came across more of his friends with permanent Tera Forms including a feisty female Psychic Tera Type Espeon on East Province (Area Three) across the river in a cave at the bottom of a spiral dig site, an easy-going male Grass Tera Type Leafeon in South Province (Area Four), a daring female Dark Tera Type Umbreon at Alfornada Cavern in South Province (Area Six), a gentle female Ice Tera Type Glaceon, and a nurturing Fairy Tera Type Sylveon (all of whom at Level 50 and who gave Lazuli a run for her money during their battles with her).
To add to that, she also ended up running into and battling the last of Tera's friends, a playful Water Tera Type Vaporeon at Cassoya Lake (who shared his friends' base level and gave her a complete team of Terastal Eeveelutions, something her parents couldn't help but poke fun at her for).
This brings us to September 15th (Day 12 of the Terastal Course) on a Saturday, a week after Dot and Sophocles' Basics tests with Iono were complete and Sarah's trip to Exceed with Jane, Lucario, Stacey, Hazel, and Carla to retrieve the Laquium and found Diancie's female Keldeo friend: Keldara. The heroes were on the outskirts of Levincia with Jane and her Lucario (who Ogerpon wanted to tag along) and Liberty and the Junior Patrollers (who joined the group for a little family time while they did their reports) as wild Chewtle and Crabrawlers socialized and played at a nearby river and wild Skiddo, Paldean Tauros (Combat Breed), Komala, Skiploom, Bramblin, Dunsparce, Deerling, and more roamed the woodlands.
It was easy to see that the heroes were in awe of the Paldean wilderness and the Pokémon that called it home, knowing they found the perfect place to not only relax after everything they had gone through in the course by far but also work on their reports for Jacq.
"Wow, look at this, guys!"
"This is just like the biomes back at Blueberry Academy but larger and out in the open!"
"And, look at all the Pokémon living here!" Crispin, Kieran, and Lacey gasped in amazement.
"That's for sure," agreed Amarys.
"There are so many Pokémon living out here!" Liko beamed.
"Lots and lots of Pokémon," nodded Floragato, sharing her sentiments.
"This place will be perfect for us to do our reports for Mr. Jacq," Carmine grinned as Goat and some Skiddo friends he made (who were named Gallop, Sprout, Canter, Sagehorn, and Leafstar) galloped together in the fields below.
"All of them living free and happy."
"I miss this wonderful sight," Moltres and Entei mused, smiling.
"Even though our kingdom abode is peaceful, I still get sentimental over this wonderful scene," Kleavor concurred, hinting at his own soft and sentimental smile.
"No kidding. The forest before us and that river over there probably have more if we keep looking," Dot added as she recorded the sight on her Rotom Phone.
"Much, much more," agreed Quaxly.
"Isn't this place perfect? The great outdoors, Pokémon Style; that's a gig I can get down upon after my stint in Adventure City! And, you know what that means: a Fun Day in the Sun Day!" Liberty laughed.
"YAAAAAAAAAAY!" cheered the Poms and the German Spitz Trio as they, Fred, Fuecoco, Plume, Breeze, Wooloo, Ponyta, Yamper, Larmina, Garnet, Topaz, and Happiny scampered down to the stream to play while Solar tagged along to keep an eye on them.
Tikki and his fellow Kwamis, the Renlings, and Mei Shi all flew happily around the area as they took in the wild Pokémon minding their own business while Keldera (now fully healed and with a renewed clean bill of health thanks to Mollie) stood close to Keldeo and her and Diancie's friend, Daga.
Of course, with Sarah's Espathra and her equally wild and vicious yet likable male friend, Ethan (a Steel Tera Type Espathra at Level 45 found along Dalizapa Passage along the southern base of Glaseado Mountain that connected Zapapico along Paldea's East Province and Medali along the region's West Province), strode along the river for some private time together.
"I wonder what each of us will do for our reports on wild Pokémon and anything related to them," pondered Hau.
"Either way, Mr. Jacq did say we should take photos and videos to support our findings, right?" Liko inquired.
"Yep."
"That's about it," Roy and Lana confirmed.
"How about we use this for research material and as a baseline?" Dot suggested as she pulled out Friede's Pokémon Distribution Map (the same map from the app the unconventional professor asked her to help fix and debug for him and Cap).
"Hey, isn't that the distribution map from Friede's essay from when you first met him, Dot?" Mallow asked, seeing the map.
"Yeah, after he finished making it, he presented the map and his essay at a conference and it has proper sources for us to use. If we can find any Pokémon that weren't on the map back then, I'm sure our reports will be dazzling enough for Mr. Jacq to pass us."
"I get it, he did it so he could be as conventional as they go," chuckled Lazuli jokingly as she crossed her arms.
"Hey! Yeah, that means you can practice using Fetch with me, too, Lazuli! With Sarah's new Tera Cloak, nobody can sneak up on nor get the drop on us! Not even Spinel!" Barkk chirped as he jumped onto her head (since Petunia occupied her right shoulder and Happiny carefully rode on her left shoulder).
"You have fun with that. So, Island Girl, you planning on covering the Pokémon outbreaks around here for your report?" Race noted, grinning smugly at his wife.
"Shut up!" Sarah spat, blushing as she pouted at her husband.
"Remember, you're the one who wanted to find mates for your Pokémon, not me. And, it won't hurt to have a few more hands and faces lending the Rising Volt Tacklers a hand with their business."
"Yeah, Sarah! Where's your sense of adventure with wild Pokémon as friendly pirates? At least, we're all the sane and family-friendly version of the Pirates of the Caribbean," Scrappy quipped, getting a groan from the little princess.
"Sounds like fun! I also want to get some Pokémon battles in on our reports!" Roy said eagerly.
"We can even tell the crew about them when we're done!" Liko finished before she looked around, trying to find a spot where they'd set up camp for the time being. "Still, where should we set up camp for the night? I think we should pitch our tents right about..."
"HERE!" everyone finished, ready to begin their reports and learn what they haven't learned yet for their Terastal Course reports for Jacq.

Our opening to Part 3 of Liko, Roy, and Dot's journey with the Rising Volt Tacklers and the Alolan Royal Family begins as Liko and Floragato walk out of Uva Academy's gates together before the young girl greets the readers/viewers first and she's later shown holding a Pokeball as they walked along. Roy then greets the viewers/readers before he is shown walking with Fuecoco and Dot and Quaxly following suit as the young recluse greets the viewers/readers herself. After Dot greets the viewers/readers, Sarah, Race, and their family are shown with the Paldea School Gang and their Partner Pokémon
Akumade mo kankaku teki ni, tadashii to omoeta michi wo~ (Always instinctively, we've been running, deceiving ourselves)
Boku tachi wa damashi damashi hashitte kitan da, machigai no hitotsu ya futatsu wa atta~ (Along a path that seemed right to us, there may have been a mistake or two)
Our Horizons Trio, Quaxly, Floragato, and Fuecoco are seen with Galaxagus (with Lazuli on his back), Char, Serrate, Plume, Breeze, and Shadow and his fellow Night Furies flying overhead beside Mistral (who was in her Dragon Form). Next, the group was shown with their Pokémon, mythicals, dinosaurs, and dragons enjoying sandwiches by a campfire at night.

Yuzurenai mono mamoru tame kono, atama wo hineru katana wo nigiru~ (To protect what we can't give up, we grasp the sword that twists our minds)
Then, the group was shown trudging through a snowstorm as Articuno flew above them and Glastrier and Glacial covered them from either side, all keeping a watchful eye for anything that could give them trouble during the frigid blizzard. As our heroes then laid down on the grass (happy over the chance to catch a break after wandering around together), we are shown various Pokémon that reside in Paldea from the nearby trees and brush including a Kingambit.
Juujiro de kousa, kinou no you da, kioku no oku de me wo samasu douran~ (Intersecting at the crossroads, it feels like yesterday, disturbances awaken in the depths of memory)
Itomo kantan, miiraresou da, makka na ame ga kanaderu chinkonka~ (So easily, it could enchant us, a requiem played by the crimson rain)
A singalong shot features Ann and Nemona on the bench closest to the camera with Liko, Sarah, and Kieran directly behind them in the middle, Dot, Penny, and Race on the left, and Roy and Carmine on the right with Ann's evolved Dewott, Kieran's Hydrapple, Carmine's Mightyena, and Pawmot jumping and cheering to the beat first and Floragato, Quaxly, Blitz, Bella, and Fuecoco doing the same afterward. Soon after, we are greeted by good ol' Captain Pikachu, Friede, and the unconventional professor's Charizard as they smirk at the viewers/readers.

Kizu mamire nan da tokku ni, kasabuta mou ichido hagashi~
(Covered in scars long ago, peeling off scabs once again!)Hiten takaku tobitatsu tame ni~ (To soar high into the sky!)
We are then shown Sidian, Coral, Garganacl, and Glalie as the two Explorers are in disguise, going incognito for a supposed mission of espionage for their comrades, Hamber, and Gibeon by secretly learning about the Terastal Phenomenon.
Tatoe kyou ga kusatta hi demo, asu ga motto owatteitemo~ (Even if today is a rotten day, even if tomorrow is even worse)
Returning to Dot, Liko, and Roy, they unleash the power of their newly-gained Tera Orbs amidst three Tera symbols glowing in their respective colors and Tera Crystals appearing after. Through the power of Terastallization, Floragato, Fuecoco, and Quaxly Terastallize, thus becoming a Tera Grass Type, a Tera Fire Type, and a Tera Water Type respectively.
Hitori kurai wa konna no demo, aishite kureru to honki de shinjiteru ze~ (I truly believe that at least one person will love me, even in this state)
Amid the approving stares of Jacq, Clavell, Geeta, and Dendr and a nonchalant stare from a disguised Chalce, Liko, Roy, Dot, and their partners run across a field to join their friends and face the challenges the Terastal Course provided for them as we're shown transitions of Paldea's Gym Leaders, the Paldea Elite Four, and their respective Partner Pokémon they would formally meet throughout the course: Katy and Teddiursa, Brassius and Sudowoodo, Iono and Bellibolt, Kofu and Wugtrio, Tulip and Espathra, Ryme and Houndstone, Grusha and Cetitan, Larry and Staraptor and Flamigo, Hassel and Baxcalibur, Poppy and Tinkie, and Rika and Clodsire.
Aa itsuka itsu no hi ni ka, doro no naka ni saite kumo no ue de chiru no sa~ (Ah, someday, somehow, blooming in the mud, scattering in the clouds)
Liko is then shown preparing to eat a sandwich she prepared only for Floragato to jump in and cheekily snatch it from her. Then, we see one of her eyes as it crystalizes as if Terastallization or something else dazzles and amazes her.
Aa baka mitai na hibi wo, ikinuite miseru no sa~ (Ah, those foolish days, I'll show you that I can survive them)
Finally, we see the heroes on a hill overlooking a stunning view as Lucius' Moltres and Rayquaza (with Marena riding on the latter's back again) soar overhead into the heavens before the opening closes with multiple Pokeballs thrown in the air before they become the new main titles and Cap, Blitz, Rosie, Chili, and Crest appear and wink at the viewers/readers, smirking together.
The Trials of Sarah - Pokemon Horizons Pt. 3: Terastal Debut
After the heroes agreed on where their campsite would be, they began setting up their tents with Arven, Sarah, Race, and Asha giving Carmine, Kieran, and their friends some help assembling their tents in a semi-circle while the little princess pitched her tent and the Dragonet Wingery.
This gave the BA students the perfect opportunity to let the rest of their teams out and enjoy themselves while they, their partners, and the others do their reports:
- Kieran and Hydrapple: Politoad, Dragonite, Incinearoar, Grimmsnarl, and Porygon-Z
- Carmine and Sinistcha: Mightyena, Tocannon, Scrafty, Morpeko, and Ninetales (Kantonian Form)
- Amarys and Empoleon: Skarmory, Dugtrio, Scizor, Reuniclus, and Metagross
- Drayton and Haxorus: Dragonite, Flygon, Sceptile, Kingdra, and Archaludon
- Lacey and Granbull: Whimsicott, Primarina, Galarian Slowbro, Alcremie (Blueberry Flavor), and Excadrill
- Crispin and Magmortor: Rotom (Heat Form), Talonflame, Exeggutor, Camerupt, and Blaziken
But, it was Jane's Pokémon team (given she was a Pokémon trainer when she turned ten before joining Dana and their father at Lightspeed Rescue years later) that baffled everyone because she had on her a Zarude and a Zeraora (both of whom were near-identical to Sarah's Zeraora and Nyasi), a male Shiny Charizard she named Bahamut, and a Galarian Moltres named Nightres and a Shiny Rayquaza named Ryujin (both looking exactly like Lucius and Marena's Galarian Moltres and Rayquaza apart from their sizes (both at around 6'00" and 23'00" respectively)).
Sarah and Race (whose Pokémon were happy to see those of their BA friends) were impressed she had a well-balanced and powerful team but the Gold Lightspeed Ranger told them that, unlike Lucario and Bahamut, she only reserved Zarude, Zeraora, Ryujin, and her Moltres for dealing with more dangerous matters including criminal syndicates such as the Explorers.
Of course, Lucius' Rayquaza and Moltres were shocked to see their counterparts in the hands of another trainer.
"Phew, there. Done, my tent looks pretty good!" Roy grinned as he finished putting up his tent with little to no difficulty.
"It's great!" Fuecoco grinned while Wattrel watched from the tip and Char nodded his approval while standing close to him from his left.
"Huh, you're done already?" Liko blinked in surprise at him while she began to pitch her, Serrate, and Floragato's tent.
"Yep, I'm used to doing all this before meeting you guys."
"Oh, right. You were living in your island home months ago before we came."
Liko was impressed but as she stood up to see his tent, the rope she was working with to secure the tent via hooks swayed from side to side.
Of course, old habits die hard for Floragato since she was still a kitten and was once a Sprigatito. As soon as she laid eyes on the swaying rope, her cat instincts kicked in, prompting her to happily pounce on it and causing herself and Liko to crash into the tent.
"Liko! Are you okay?" gasped Roy worriedly as he, Char, Fuecoco, Serrate, and Wattrel watched on.
The pair picked themselves up from their crumbled tent and looked at each other but the two of them had to laugh over their little fumble (leaving the others breathing a sigh of relief from the fact that they were unhurt) as Liko said, "Oh, well, I guess this means we'll have to start over again."
"Hey, Liko," Lazuli called as she, Happiny, Petunia, Timburr, Woobat, and Roggenrola along with Tera and his friends came over to check on Liko, Roy, and Dot with their tents after she did her own. "Aren't you gonna pitch up your tent?"
"Uh... Yeah, I'm still getting on that," Liko replied as she and Floragato blushed sheepishly.
"Here, we'll help," Tikki offered as she, Wayzz, Trixx, Pollen, Duusu, and Sass floated over.
"Let us handle this, Lady Liko," added Sass as the six Kwamis helped the young girl pitch her tent.
"Ta-Da~!" Quaxly boomed happily as they saw Dot and her team finish their tent while having a flattened rock in front of them.
"What's the rock for, Video Princess?" Lazuli questioned.
"Wouldn't it get in the way?" Roy added.
Dot shook her head as she beamed at them and held her Rotom Phone in Tablet Mode, "Nope. Since we'll be out here until we complete our reports, I thought this would be a perfect workstation."
"What about your tent, Lazuli?" Liko questioned the swordswoman.
"See for yourself. By the way, thanks for the wizard extension charm thing, Kid," Lazuli replied before she gave Sarah her thanks and showed the group her tent which looked strangely identical to Marena's tent (given they were pitched next to each other).
"Uh... Lazuli, your tent's painfully ordinary."
"Not very wizardy here, right?"
"Is this some kind of joke?" Lacey, Kieran, and Drayton puzzled in confusion.
"...Lazuli, are you pulling the wool out of our eyes here?" Jane added, raising a suspicious eyebrow at the swordswoman.
"Yeah, Lazuli, it's very unassuming for a tent from the Wizarding World," Kiawe concurred as he, Gladion, Ash, Hau, and the rest of the Pokémon School Gang joined the group.
"Why not have a look inside our tents?" Marena told her as she set up the finishing touches to the group's campsite.
"Huh?" The BA students along with the Pokémon School Gang, Gladion, Jane, Hau, Ash, Roy, Dot, and Liko didn't understand what the Sea Witch meant by that but they took her word for it and went inside Lazuli's tent to check out its interior first.
When they did enter the swordswoman's tent, however, they all gasped and screamed in shock and disbelief; Lazuli's tent contained the Undetectable Extension Charm and it featured a mesmerizing and spacious interior:
- The "Common Room" in the middle of the tent was lit by floating enchanted lanterns while the walls were draped with velvet tapestries in rich and deep blues and purples that evoked a night sky littered with constellations. A large and intricately carved stone fireplace stood at the far end with plush armchairs arranged around a wooden table automatically set up with tea and/or snacks upon request. Despite looking like soft moss, the floor was warm and cushioned every step the heroes made on it, giving them the feeling of walking on clouds
- Beyond the Common Room on the northern end was the compact kitchen, fully equipped with a glowing crystal chandelier, a polished oak table in the center that expands or contracts depending on how many guests were present, gleaming marble counters that shimmered with light dustings of magical flour, and cupboards opening with a single wave which revealed perfectly organized shelves of enchanted cookware and endless supplies of food. a small stove adorned with silver filigree is lit and used with a mere thought from the owner of the tent to instantly cook whatever meal he or she desired
- On the second floor of the tent, the bedrooms were tucked away behind a series of graceful arching doorways, each having walls adorned with runes that shimmered softly. A large four-poster bed (which was charged to adjust firmness and softness under the occupant's preferences) had thick velvet drapes that blocked out all sound for a peaceful night's rest and alongside it was a nightstand holding an ever-burning candle casting a soft warm glow. There were even enchanted wardrobes holding an infinite amount of clothing, opening to reveal whatever attire was more appropriate for the day's activities
- The bathroom hosted a large mirror above a marble sink with enchanted faucets that automatically adjust water temperature, a deep claw-footed tub that dominated the space and filled instantly with water at a perfect temperature. A nearby shower had cascading waterfalls encased in glass and the walls held bathroom necessities from shampoos to various types of soap, all freshly scented and bubbling beside hovering enchanted towels close to the sink (the towels ready to wrap around someone who stepped out of the bath or shower to dry them up)
- And, finally, there was an area made for Lazul's Pokémon showcasing various habitats tailored to different Pokémon Types including the ones in her and her family's care which resembled a miniature nature reserve. To create the weather for the area, Sarah developed Atmospheric Charms that created specific conditions for the following habitats: Lush Rainforest, Lake Habitat, Sandy Beach, Mountainous, Tundra, Desert, Grassland, and Marshlands
"Amazing!"
"So cool!"
"You've got to be kidding!" Liko, Roy, and Dot gasped in shock.
"Hey, kid, are you in here? We want to see how you're getting on with-GREAT MERCIFUL BUDDHA!"
"What a pad!"
"What is thisssssss?!"
"Crazy!" Naomi, Sydney, Snake, and Pig spluttered as the rest of the Circle of Twelve arrived to check on the swordswoman, completely flabbergasted by her tent's interior as her Terastal Eeveelutions, Timburr, Woobat, Roggenrola, Happiny, Gengar, Mismagius, Panthera, and Galaxagus enjoyed themselves and settled down in their new play area.
"No way! Are you serious, kid?! This is absolute bonkers!" Rooster gawked.
"I guess your Pokémon, Galaxagus, and Panthera already made themselves at home with this giant interior."
"You and Sarah should think of doing Wizarding World real estate," Ox and Rabbit blinked in surprise, seeing how much fun Lazuli's younger Pokémon were having and how relaxed and at ease Galaxagus and Panthera were being as they both preened themselves.
With Tera and his friends, they went down to the sandy beach area to play together.
As was the case with Tera, Sarah met all of his friends during her, Race, and Sarah's time in the Terastal Course but she passed them off because they were looking for a different trainer (and she had their regular and Shiny counterparts on her already). In the end, Lazuli ended up being their trainer (which she gladly accepted after battling them first upon meeting them via the Fire Tera Type).
It was a bonus for her because apart from Timburr, Woobat, Roggenrola, Gengar, Mismagus, and Breeze during their previous confrontation with him, Spinel had no idea she would have new Pokémon on her to deal with should they meet again.
Now, like Sarah, the swordswoman has all 8 Eeveelutions, but she had her own Moonlight Pokémon to rival Spinel's whom she nicknamed Nyx while she nicknamed the Jolteon (Shockwave), Leafeon (Forest), Espeon (Psyche), Sylveon (Ribbon), Vaporeon (Poseidon) and the Glaceon (Shiver).
"Okay... How can wizards and witches afford upgrades like this?" Jane blinked, trying to compose herself after picking her jaw up.
"I call dibs on the kitchen with an ice cream sundae!" cheered Syndey as he started to dash for the kitchen.
"Oh, no, you don't!" Pig shouted excitedly as she charged after her, eager for a hearty meal until they were both stopped by a familiar jackal-like Fighting Type in a permanent Ice Tera Type (denoted by the Tera Jewel looking like a cyan band shaped like a circle of ice cubes, a dark blue hexagonal crystal with a pair of angry-looking eyes on the front and a large cyan snowflake atop it).
"I wouldn't eat anything from the kitchen if I were you."
The Pokémon that stopped the two Zodiacs was a new male Lucario belonging to Lazuli, frowning at them as he stood at the kitchen entrance; the reason why he was with Lazuli and her family was that the powerful Level 75 Ice Tera Type was looking for a challenge to hone his fighting prowess and when he met the swordswoman, he challenged her to a fight and she accepted as she pitted Gengar and Mismagius against him. Being a Fighting Type, he was extremely intelligent and his battling skills were nothing for the Ghost Types to laugh at.
His Ice Tera Type also showed them that he knew an Ice Type move (that being Ice Punch) and he was no slouch when using it in addition to priority move Bullet Punch, Meteor Mash and Calm Mind despite his Aura Sphere and Counter being ineffective against the pair (since they were working together against him with the Shadow Pokémon's Reflect and the Magical Pokémon Power Gem and Mystic Fire attacks).
They were evenly matched throughout their battle and Mismagius and Gengar were put through the wringer throughout it but when Lucario used Ice Punch on Gengar, her Cursed Body ability activated and prevented him from moving, allowing Mismagius to put him to sleep with Hypnosis and win the match. This earned the Ghost types and Lazuli his respect and he was so impressed with how they fought together that he agreed to join them.
After looking inside Lazuli's new enchanted tent, the heroes went back outside with Liko, Roy, Floragato, Larmina, Garnet, and Topaz cutely frolocking around the forest area and looking around, wondering what they and the others should do for their reports.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey! Liko, Roy! Don't go there!" Sarah gasped as she and Race scrambled to their Terapagos and grabbed them before pulling them away from a cluster of pinecone-like Bug Type hanging from a tree they were waddling towards.
"I wouldn't touch let alone get close to those Pokémon if I were you," Lazuli warned as she joined them.
"Wow, I've never seen that Pokémon before," Liko blinked as she took out her Rotom Phone and scanned the Pineco.
"Pineco, the Bagworm Pokémon. A Bug Type; it makes its shell thicker by adding layers of tree bark but while it appears calm as it hangs sedately from tree branches, it will self-destruct from even slight movements."
"Self-destruct?"
"From even the slightest movement?"
"That's not very fun," gulped Lana, Lacey, and Crispin.
"Who's that Pokémon?" cried Roy eagerly as he and Fuecoco quickly came over, not seeing a tree root in front of them.
"Roy, Fuecoco! Wait, watch out for that-!" screamed Mallow, her warning too late as the pair tripped over the tree root and hopped uncontrollably before the young adventurer face-planted the tree making everybody groan and wince and she meekly finished, "Tree..."
"Ow!"
That did the trick as Roy's crash seemed to agitate the wild Pineco as it swung from its branch and looked down upon the group. Not happy with its rest being disturbed and thinking they were playing a joke on it, the wild Bagworm Pokémon dropped from its branch and unleashed Self-Destruct with a war cry and a loud bang and explosion followed.
Moments later, when the smoke plume cleared, some of the heroes were revealed to have been ragged and covered in soot from Pineco's powerful attack at close or point-blank range, none of them knowing what to think as their Partner Pokémon let out small puffs of smoke (feeling just as staggered as their families and friends).
After that explosive experience, while the others who were clear of Pineco's Self-Destruct watched on, those who were dirty decided to get themselves cleaned up in the river. Despite what had happened, the group felt like they were already learning something new (given the tried and true notion that experience is the best teacher).
"Almost done, Hatenna, I'll have you all nice and squeaky clean in no time," Liko smiled at her Calm Pokémon as she washed her.
"Okay, Mommy," replied Hatenna happily, enjoying her bath.
The young girl then turned to Floragato, knowing it'll be her turn for a bath soon, "Wait a moment, Floragato. You'll be going next after Hatenna."
"Sure thing, Liko," Floragato agreed.
"You know, I just checked the data earlier and apparently, as it said, Pineco can explode whenever they're surprised or agitated," Roy said as he washed Fuecoco.
"So, that was the big boom we heard earlier."
"Just try to be more careful next time around wild Pokémon like that," Dot and Hu told them, feeling relieved for them.
Just then, to Roy, Fuecoco, and Wattrel's surprise, a wild Kilowattrel (not unlike Nemona's Electric Type) flew above them and headed downstream. Wattrel was in awe and cooed in delight, knowing that one of his greatest wishes after learning how to fly was to evolve and become a Kilowattrel himself one day.
"A Kilowattrel! Hey, you guys mind if we go after it? I'm thinking of doing my report on it!" Roy called to the others after seeing how eager Wattrel was to see it and finding the subject of his report.
"Go ahead."
"Absolutely!"
"Be careful."
"Don't go too far!" Sarah, Liko, Dot, and Mistral agreed.
"Right! We'll be back! Come on, Fuecoco, Wattrel! Let's go!"
And, with that, Roy and his partners along with Char went off to follow the Frigatebird Pokémon.
"Well, at least he finally found the subject of his report."
"Let's hope he remembers to take even one photo or video of it," remarked Ox and Naomi.
"In that case, we better not fall behind either with our reports," Dot decided, knowing they have to get to work as she turned to Quaxly and Plume. "Let's get back to the tents and begin our research on the local Pokémon, you guys."
"Good idea."
"Let's do it," Quaxly and Plume agreed.
"We better get started on our reports, too, gang."
"Ready to make Blueberry Academy proud?" Kieran and Carmine told their friends and classmates, knowing they also have their reports to do.
"Yeah!" Drayton, Crispin, Lacey, and Amarys cried in agreement, their Pokemon sharing their sentiments as they cheered along.
"Right!" Hau, Ash, Gladion, and the Pokémon School Gang concurred.
"We'll stay here a little longer if you don't mind," Liko suggested.
"Okay."
"See ya soon!" Dot and Ash nodded while the others left to start their reports.
"Well, while we're here, might as well have Terapagos get some fresh air, too," Liko smiled as she released Terapagos from her tote bag and allowed him to roam about for a bit. "Don't wander too far, Terapagos, okay?"
"Okay," the baby Terapagos cooed.
She then turned to Floragato, deciding it was time for her to take a bath as she picked up a rag, "Sorry for making you wait, Floragato. Now, I'll start by cleaning your face and-huh?"
The young girl stopped before she could get to work as she noticed Hatenna having fallen in a small hole and got herself dirty again as she tried to get out, "Eep! Mama, Mama! Help! I'm stuck!"
"Ah, Hatenna! Are you okay?" she cried as she quickly picked her up and turned to her partner again, knowing she'll have to clean her little Psychic Type a second time before Floragato can have her turn. "I'm sorry, Floragato. Please wait a little longer, alright? Man, you're a mess after falling in that hole, aren't you?"
Floragato was dismayed by this but she relented and kept herself occupied with her bud. As she practiced her yo-yo tricks with it, she flicked a small rock into the river and she became happy with how her yo-yo skills were improving since she evolved and she and Liko had their Basics test with Katy.
"Sweet! Hey, Liko, did you-huh?" she meowed eagerly to her partner only for her to notice Liko going after Terapagos as he started to wander off.
"Terapagos! What are you doing? I told you not to go far!" she cried as she got him back in her arms before turning to Floragato. "Sorry, Floragato. So, what is it?"
Floragato grew silent as she stared at Terapagos and Hatenna with utter jealousy and slight disdain. Despite having evolved and the time she and Liko had together since they began the Terastal Course with the others, old habits do indeed die hard for the spunky Paldea Grass Starter. True to her species' nature, she enjoyed showing off and wanted Liko's attention and companionship. But, because her sibling figures were taking time away from her, her jealousy and hatred for them returned even if she was not as mischievous as other Floragato and never bothered to pull pranks on her given their friendship and their bond.
Granted, she didn't truly despise Hatenna and Terapagos but she did have a tendency to feel bitter whenever they won Liko's attention and got her focusing on them at times. Terapagos was something of a mixed bag for her even though he's still a baby but with Hatenna, she was more tolerable towards her given their sisterly relationship and she had no problems with her. Even so, she couldn't help but feel like they were having her focus on them more whenever they did their own thing and she wasn't paying attention to her as much as she used to.
"...Nothing," she eventually replied, turning away from them.
"Floragato...?" Liko chirped worriedly as she tried to touch her only to pull her left hand back when her fur pricked it. "Ouch!"
"Wait, Floragato... Her fur's gone all prickly. They're acting like spines or bush thorns, but why?"
She tried to reach out to her partner again but Floragato swiped her hand away in retaliation as she spat at her, "I'm fine, okay?!"
The young girl gasped in shock and Floragato suddenly realized her mistake as her eyes widened by what she did and the look in Liko's eyes. Not wanting to fall back into her lone wolf nature again nor hurt her family out of her resurging jealousy again, the spunky Grass Cat Pokémon was forced to run off back to the campsite, leaving Liko, Hatenna, and Terapagos speechless and worried for her.
"Floragato..."
Meanwhile, Marena was spending private time with her family as she prepared to give them a bath for the day ahead despite a few protests from a few Pokémon among them.
"Mother! I hate this! Do we really have to get a bath? I'm fine as it is, this is so embarrassing! What if somebody else sees us?" grumbled Moltres indignantly as she washed Arboliva and Lapras first.
"Just because we're in the great outdoors right now doesn't mean you have the liberty of smelling like a raging orange plump bag after a few days out, young man," Marena snarked back at the ancient Malevolent Pokémon.
"Well, I still say this whole 'bath' thing sucks! Fire and water don't mix and you know that!"
"Mother, I insist you reconsider this. I am a Fire Type even though he's also a Dark/Flying Type; water is not just an annoyance to Fire Types, it is sudden death by the gallons. How can you be sure this refreshing liquid won't harm us? I know Kleavor and I are used to this routine during our time with you but it doesn't make it any better," Entei retorted, being more calm and composed about his disdain for water.
"Same for me, Mother. I may be a Bug Type but II'm also a Rock Type. Rock Types don't fare as well against water and Water Types. If I didn't know any better, you would've had Lapras helping you soak us up just for the fun of it," concurred Kleavor, not wanting to have a bath as well.
"You two and I know this is an essential part of personal hygiene and if I want to keep you at your best, especially in battle, bath time is something you can't pass up on. I understand your feelings but know that I only want what's best for you," Marena frowned reassuringly before she turned her motherly glare on Moltres, making him wince under her sharp gaze. "And, that goes for you too, Moltres! I left you sleeping at Galar Mine for the last century and if I have to drag you down to the ocean to get you cleaned up from head to toe just to get rid of that damn smell on you and continue making up for my previous mistakes, then so be it!"
"I'm not doing it! No how, no way! But, if you really want me to have a bath, go ahead! Make my day! No matter what you do, Psychic Types can't touch me!" Moltres smirked mockingly just as Nebby, Danny, and Danielle came over to help the Sea Witch.
Marena noticed the trio approaching and cheekily smirked at them, snarking again, "Oh, really? Then, I suppose you wouldn't mind a little Miracle Eye to help you get a long overdue rubdown, will ya? Oh, Danny~!"
Danny winked and returned her smirk as he used Miracle Eye to temporarily remove his immunity to Psychic Type moves before Nebby giggled mischeviously and used Psychic to hold him in place and float him above the river.
"H-H-Hey! Hey! Mother! What are-OI! Let go of me! What is this?! Wha-you miserable sneak! Put me down! Do you hear me, Mother?! Put me down! I'm not having a bath! You can't make me!" Moltres whined angrily as he flailed about and tried to break free from Nebby's Psychic attack but to no avail.
"Not while my brother's Miracle Eye left you high and dry with your immunity, you're not!" sniggered Danielle.
"Bye-Bye~!" grinned Nebby as he cheekily canceled his Psychic and caused Moltres to plop into the river with a panicked caw and a loud splash (inadvertently soaking Entei and Kleavor in the process as they were close to him and making them give deadpanned glares at him and Marena).
"WELL, AT LEAST SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE."
"Indeed, brother."
"You can say that again," remarked Rayquaza, Arboliva, and Lapras as they watched Danny, Danielle, and Nebby laugh at the defeated and seething Malevolent Pokémon while he picked his head up and glared at them.
He then turned to Marena as she chuckled at him and he spat, "You really know how to hurt a guy, Mother."
"You were pushing me, Moltres, and I acted accordingly. It's your own fault and now that you're in the water, it's..." she began as Tony, Jessie, and Rama arrived to give her a hand while carrying brushes, rags, and six buckets of soap water over to her.
"Bath time~!"
"Time to clean house~" they grinned as they and the Sea Witch proceeded to give him the bath of a lifetime while Moltres wailed in dismay as the soap water and brushes touched him (getting amused chuckles out of the rest of his family).
"You, too," Danielle grinned as she soaked Rayquaza, Entei, and Kleavor and brushed them while Marena continued washing Lapras and Arboliva.
"I know we've been doing this for years but this is ridiculous given our Pokémon Types."
"Indeed, some Pokémon have all the luck," Entei and Kleavor bantered quietly while they enviously looked at Lapras, Rayquaza, and Arboliva as they enjoyed their baths without having to worry about their Pokémon Types.
"Do you want to get the smell off of you two and the others and stay healthy or not?" Marena jabbed as she brushed Lapras, having heard them and making the ancient Volcano and Axe Pokémon wince fearfully under her motherly tone.
Later, after Marena and Sarah's Pokémon with her were finished giving the Six Heroes their baths, the Sea Witch was delighted to see that despite the previous century of being apart, they all had clean bills of health (especially given it had been years since Rayquaza, Lapras, Moltres, and Arboliva had been given health checks). Apart from Arboliva, Rayquaza, and Lapras, Entei and Kleavor were a little peeved from their baths and Moltres was still smarting from Marena's prank on him with Danny and Nebby's help.
As they and Dot tried to figure out what reports the young trio should do for Jacq before returning to Uva Academy (including a pink tornado of sorts from an article the young recluse found covering it), Sarah (having Sora in her arms), Race, Lazuli, and Jane noticed Floragato leaning back on one of the trees in front of them while she played with her bud.
Shortly after, Liko, Hatenna, and Terapagos returned as the young girl passed by them and looked at her partner worriedly.
"Hey, Liko? What's wrong? Did you and Floragato have another fight earlier?" Dot asked, concerned.
"Huh? N-No, not really. Um, i-it's not really a fight, but..." Liko began, giving the group a small smile and getting a concerned frown from Sarah (who felt something was off with her and Floragato). "It's just...she's gotten herself in a bad mood..."
"...Her jealousy rearing its ugly head again?" the little princess deducted knowingly.
Liko remained silent as she frowned sadly, prompting Sarah to sigh and give her a sympathetic frown before she told her, "Liko, I know it's hard trying to understand how Floragato's feeling even though she had no problems with Hatenna months ago. But, even so, it wouldn't hurt to give even a little attention to your partner. Her species have a reputation for being attention seekers since they would occasionally pull pranks on their trainers if they were being ignored. Try focusing on Floragato and Hatenna or Terapagos and Floragato together once in a while."
"...Mmm, I know."
"Jealous?" puzzled Jane, raising an eyebrow at Sarah.
"Just a little bit of family tension between Liko's Floragato with Hatenna and Terapagos whenever her attention is on them and not her."
"Mmm, nothing too serious, hopefully..."
Wanting to change the subject and keep things from being more awkward for Liko, Dot turned to Lazuli and asked the swordswoman, "Right, I just realized... Lazuli, have you chosen a topic for your report yet?"
"...I don't know. This school report thing is also new to me; I haven't done a report in a while. The only ones I've done were those...those spy reports on the kid and her hubby for Gibeon when I was still with the Explorers," the swordswoman replied, unsure.
"Why not do a report on the Laquium?" Liko suggested.
"No, thank you. I'd rather have info on that crap away from Gibeon and anybody else's eyes as far as possible," Lazuli retorted, knowing the little princess still had the Laquium sample from Exceed (keeping it in her Entrance Cabin from her Mythical Briefcase to prevent Liko's Terapagos from getting agitated from seeing it).
Of course, he and Marena weren't the only ones shocked to see the crystal outside of Laqua; when Rayquaza, Moltres, Lapras, Arboliva, Entei, and Kleaveor found out about it, they were also staggered and wanted to destroy it before Gibeon and the Explorers could find and get their hands on it for their dark motives.
However, Sarah and Marena stopped them before they could destroy it, the little princess imploring to the Six Heroes that by doing some research on the Laquium according to the sample they have on them now, they could learn why Pokémon that come into contact with it and its mist go into a feral state and figure out a way to naturally neutralize its effects. None of them liked the idea but they knew it was the best change they got so they agreed to let her keep it and hold her up to that promise.
"I see... Hey Liko, have you thought about a topic for a report yet?" Dot nodded before turning her attention to Liko and getting a headshake from her. "Well, have I got something for you. Check it out."
Liko joined the group at the young recluse's makeshift workstation as she pulled up the article on the pink tornado (now known as the Flower Pillar) and informed the young girl, "Apparently, there is a natural Pokémon phenomenon called the 'Flower Pillar' that can happen near this area."
"Flower Pillar?" Liko echoed curiously while unbeknownst to everyone, Terapagos cooed and went off to see something that interested him.
"This article says that around here, a huge amount of flower petals are whipped into the sky thus making a pillar that links together both the land and the sky. But, as for the finer details like what actually caused it to appear, when it'll happen next, or what plant the petals came from... It's a phenomenon that's full of mystery and unknowns. What's more, I heard a rumor going on about this Flower Pillar thing; if anybody has this once in a lifetime chance to see the Flower Pillar, they would be sure to find happiness."
"Is that so...?" Liko mused as she looked at Floragato, thinking the Flower Pillar about could help her resolve their earlier unintended scuffle.
"The story by itself and its details are fuzzy at best but but it's perfect and dazzling for one of our reports given a local Pokémon might be involved so I'm gonna look for it later."
"I-I want to look for it, too! If I could see it with my own two eyes alongside Floragato, then..."
"Sure."
With Dot's blessings given and the plan for the group's first report for Jacq set, Liko went to Floragato and tried to tell her about the Flower Pillar. But, she soon noticed that Terapagos was gone and she knew she had to find him before he got himself into trouble again, forcing herself to hold off on telling her partner about the pillar. Despite Floragato's mixed emotions over the ordeal, she decided to help look for him as they went off simply because it was the right thing to do, hoping she would still have time to spend with Liko before they would return to the academy.
"Well, at least someone's gonna be productive with her report for today," Lazuli quipped after they and Hatenna left.
"While she's doing that, why not have a go at writing about the recent mass outbreaks with me or the Tera Raid Dens around here?" Sarah suggested to the swordswoman.
She turned to the little princess and echoed in her confusion, "Tera Raid Dens? You lost me there, kiddo. What are they?"
"Dens of Tera Crystals holding high level Pokémon inside them; similar to the Power Spots in coordination with the Galar Region's Dynamax Phenomenon, only four people could enter so if you want, Race, Arven, Sis, or I can help you fight them. You could even extend your report to include an understanding about the Tera Crystals and the Terastallized Pokémon, too."
"...I don't know, you think it's a good idea?" Lazuli replied skeptically.
"Yeah, why not? Jacq personally asked Island Girl and I to contribute to Paldea's research on the Terastal Phenomenon by looking into some of the dens ourselves. He and Mr. Clavell agreed that there is no rule in having Terastal Battles against Tera Pokémon so you won't be disqualified. Rather, they'd encourage you to do so to get good practice in while catching more high level Pokémon for your Implementation Test down the road," Race reassured.
"Good idea, it'll also do you some good against the Explorers to have more Pokémon from them on you if they're stepping up their game from the shadows. And, I heard that Implementation tests are more difficult compared to Basics test given the lessons we'll have to learn from our next assigned gym leaders so it's best to be prepared," Dot concurred, knowing what Race and Sarah had in mind for her martial arts friend.
She then looked at Quaxly as he preened himself, straightening his hair while she told him, "Well, let's get started on our research, pal."
"In a minute," Quaxly replied.
"Mmm, this is gonna take a while, huh...?"
"Well, if that's the case, might as well get a headstart on lunch. It'll be a good excuse for us to find more Herba Mystica for our projects and my sandwiches," Arven noted, eager to search for more Herba Mystica in the region including their current area.
"Did someone say 'Sandwich'?" Serpent, Miraidon, and Athuisa grinned as they popped up from behind and started the young Pokemon Chef.
"Hey, Uncle Arven, where are our sandwiches?" Koraidon quipped, panting like a dog eagerly waiting for a meal.
"Oh, come on! Just wait your turn, guys, honestly," Arven grumbled, knowing that their love for sandwiches hasn't died down which got amused chuckles from everyone gathered.
"AH! No, Tinkatink, what are you doing?! That's Arven's pan you got there!"
The group turned to Dot frantically pointing at Tinkatink who had scuffled through the group's stuff and found one of Arven's frying pans from his backpack, preparing to turn it into a hammer and thinking he wouldn't mind her using it.
"WAAAAH! NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO! Tinkatink! Let go! Don't you DARE think of turning it into a hammer!" Arven barked furiously as he snatched the pan away from her.
"Nor mine! If you break them just for a hammer, our dinner plans will be all gone! You hear me?!" Dot added as a crying Tinkatink began to wrestle them for the pan.
"Pan! Pan! I want Pan! Give me!" the young Metalsmith Pokémon whined at them as she cried.
The others just watched on awkwardly and Plume sighed, wondering if they should help Arven and Dot before continuing with their projects or begin their reports.
Lazuli (on the other hand) thought over what the young couple and Dot told her and had to admit to the logic they gave her; right now, she and her family only had her Tera Eeveelutions, Happiny, Galaxagus, Gengar, Mismagius, Rogenrolla, Delight, Pantherra, Timburr, and Woobat on them (making for a grand total of only seventeen). Happiny, Timburr, Woobat, and Roggenrola were still young and they had yet to complete their training with Galaxgus and Panthera and besides her parents' old partners throughout the last twenty years, she never trained with any Pokémon before the Mantle, Unova Bat, and Muscular Pokémon came into her life when she befriended them back at the Galar Mine.
Having nothing left to lose at this point, the swordswoman reluctantly agreed and joined Sarah, Race, and Arven (who managed to keep his frying pan away from Tinkatink with Asha volunteering to stay and help Dot with her report) to do her report on Tera Raid Dens and her understanding of Terastallized Pokémon with Rotoblue tagging along to take photos and record everything happening in the dens.
The first Terastal Pokémon they came across for her report was of a powerful male Dragon Tera Type Dragonite and alongside her three tagalongs (who had brought Koraidon, Miraidon, and Mabostiff) and Galaxagus, and with Rotoblue recording the entire battle, the swordswoman was able to make a stand against the powerful Dragon Type and eventually capture him.
Granted, he was a tough cookie to deal with despite her and her family holding their own against Tera and his friends beforehand with Dragon Rush, Extreme Speed, Dragon Dance, Aqua Tail, and Light Screen while creating Tera Shields as Topaz did but they were able to hold their own in the end.
The prolonged victory ended up winning the group the following items: six Exp. Candy Ls, two Exp. Candy XLs, nine Dratini Scales, five Muscular Feathers, a PP Up, a Rare Candy, a Bottle Cap, a Star Piece, six Stellar Tera Shards, a Comet Shard, an Ability Patch, a Brave Mint, an Adamant Mint, a Lonely Mint, a Naughty Mint, a Nugget, an Ability Capsule, and (to Arven's delight) a Spicy Herba Mystica. It was a combined haul that shocked the swordswoman immensely when they returned from the Tera Raid Den they entered and she was even more baffled to find out the Dragonite she caught was at Level 90.
After the raid battle against Dragonite, she did the next four dens that each held a wild male Appletun, a male Copperajah, a male Dondozo, and a male Baxcaliber (all of whom were Level 75) with Sarah and her parents.
Dragonite put up quite a fight against the swordswoman and Galaxagus along with their friends when they battled him but even Seiya and Mary had a rough time dealing with the other four Tera Pokémon they confronted for their daughter's report.
But, eventually, they won all against Appletun, Copperajah, Dondozo, and Baxcaliber by the skin of their teeth, earning the following rewards: twelve Exp. Candy Ls, four Exp. Candy XLs, sixteen Tera Shards (four of Fairy, Ground, Electric, and Fire), five Applin Juices, five Cufant Tarnishes, five Dondozo Whiskers, five Frigibax Scales, three Hondew Berries, three Qualot Berries, three Pomeg Berries, three Kelpsy Berries, four Ability Capsules, four Bottle Caps, nine Genius Feathers, six Resist Feathers, six Health Feathers, Six Muscle Feathers, four Nuggets, four Rare Candies, ten Herba Mystica (including bitter, salty, sour, and sweet) from Dondozo and Baxcaliber and a Salty Herba Mystica from Copperajah.
"Okay... Now, I know one reason why the academy's headcheese and Biology Man wanted you and your man to look into these crazy dens," Lazuli gulped, wondering how she's going to fit all the rewards in her satchel.
"You'll be doing a great deal of service to them and Paldea's researchers with your new Tera Shards, Dewdrop," Seiya panted, smiling at his and Mary's daughter as they, Sarah, and their Pokémon took a breather to revcover from their raid battle frenzy.
"And, you'll have a suitable topic for your report when you write it down later," added Mary.
"I'm sure Jacq's gonna give you top marks for that, Lazuli. And, since Timburr, Happiny, Woobat, and Roggenrola still have a long way to go, you can help them with those Rare Candies you got. Speaking of your satchel, one Undetectable Extension Charm coming up," Sarah finished as she and Race stuffed their rewards in their satchels and gave the swordswoman's satchel the Undetectable Extension Charm to make room for her share of the rewards.
"Apart from Island Girl and I getting extra credit and giving her an excuse to find mates for her Pokémon, at least we got more Herba Mystica to look over and cook with Arven," Race finished.
At the same time, Floragato, Hatenna, and Liko were looking around the forest for Terapagos and the young girl was getting worried for him, "Terapagos! Where did you go? I was sure he went this way, Terapagos!"
She turned to Floragato who was still playing with her bud and not helping in her search for Terapagos, her jealousy for him still lingering, "Floragato, please, help me look for him!"
"...Nah," Floragato replied after a moment of silence, turning her back on her.
Liko only stared awkwardly and sadly at her partner, knowing she was still feeling a little bitter from focusing her attention on Terapagos and Hatenna and wondering if they could still salvage the bond between them. Floragato did her best to ignore her as she could but after feeling her sadness after slightly looking back at her, she couldn't help feeling bad herself for Liko's current feelings between them.
"Mama! Mama!" Hatenna suddenly chirped, trying to get a smile and preventing her sister from saying anything.
"What's that, Hatenna? You want to play to cheer me up?" Liko replied, her and Hatenna's brief happy interaction sadly only getting Floragato to ignore them again as she continued playing with her bud.
With Terapagos, the baby Tera Pokémon toddled his way to a nearby lake where he spotted a group of three Magikarp floating about before one of them jumped in and out of the water, amazing him before they swam off to another part of the lake or a nearby river and disappeared much to his dismay. Then, he heard something coming his way and he saw a wild Lechonk charging towards him blindly. He was suddenly struck without warning and sent flying to another part of the forest but he was too busy laughing and having fun to care what could happen to him.
Not long after, Liko, Hatenna, and Floragato arrived at the river but they were too late to find him anywhere near it.
"He's not here at this lake, either?" the young girl mused worriedly until she noticed the little Tera Pokémon's tracks on the path and edge of the lake where he was at until the wild Lechock bashed him away. "Those tracks, are they...? Floragato, here, take Hatenna!"
"Hey, I-!" squeaked Floragato in bewildered annoyance as Liko looked for her baby Pokémon.
"Those are definitely Terapagos' footprints, he actually came through here. So, maybe..."
She looked around for Terapgos in the hopes of finding him somewhere near the lake but Hatenna and Floragato stared at her and awkwardly exchanged glances, thinking he was somewhere else entirely and they had either missed him or they weren't looking hard enough. But, the spunky Grass Cat Pokémon was still feeling a little bitter from Liko not giving her the attention she needed.
"He was here, so... Huh? Those don't look like Terapagos' tracks," Liko continued to muse, now seeing the tracks left by the Lechonk that bashed Terapagos away from the lake which prompted her to look deeper into the forest while leaving Hatenna and Flroagato behind.
The two sister figures didn't know what to think but they suddenly returned their attention to Liko and were surprised to find that she wasn't around them anymore. Hatenna called out to her human mother but she didn't answer until they heard a small rumbling or explosion sound from their right, the Clam Pokémon being able to sense what sounded like Liko's distress in her current situation and calling for help after running into a wild Pineco. Realizing that they needed to do something to help her partner and going with her better judgment, Floragato (with Hatenna still in her arms) rushed off to the rescue.
"Wait, did that sound like a Pineco? Terapagos, I gotta help him!" Liko fretted.
Hatenna didn't know how right she was; true to form, as Liko hurried to Terapagos' rescue (thinking he instead was in the presence of a wild Pineco after hearing the explosion and rumbling sounds), she stepped on the edge of a small valley trench and painfully slid down to the bottom. The young girl wasn't too badly hurt but she was sore from the unintentional sliding she did, and yet, that was the least of her worries as she realized her current predicament.
"Floragato, Hatenna...! Floragato! Hatenna! H-Huh...? Floragato, no... It can't be!" Liko gulped fearfully as she couldn't hear her partner and Hatenna coming to them. "Floragato! Hatenna! Are you there?! Did I just...lose them somehow?"
Returning to Hatenna and Floragato, when they finally arrived at the sight of the explosion, they were surprised to find not Liko but Terapagos crying as he flailed on his back, having been blown upside down on his shell by a Pineco that used Self-Destruct (who was slightly annoyed by the carefree baby Pokémon that disturbed its peaceful hanging from its tree branch). Of course, Floragato could only sink to her knees in utter disbelief that Terapagos got himself into trouble again because of his cat's curiosity and she that it was Liko who needed her and Hatenna's help.
Wanting to help her and Flroagato's baby brother figure, Hatenna jumped out of her arms and tried to push him back upright again. But, due to her small size and diminutive strength, she could only turn him half-way twice despite her her best efforts before she gave up.
"Big Sister, help!" pleaded Hatenna to Floragato only for the spunky Grass Cat Pokémon to give the pair a slight glower as she recalled how they had gotten Liko's attention away from her throughout the day (which they noticed). "Please, Big Sister...!"
"Flora help!" added Terapagos pleadingly.
"...Oh, fine," Floragato sighed in defeat as she begrudgingly came over to Terapagos and flipped him back upright.
"Me thank Flora!" Terapagos chirped happily as Hatenna smiled.
"Whatever."
A small gust of wind blew through the forest and Terapagos chirped again as he toddled over to where the gust was coming from (much to Hatenna's surprise and Floragato's irritation of having to babysit him again). But, to their horror, they found him coming across another tree that was littered with more wild Pineco hanging from its branches.
"Wah-NO! Terapagos! Not that way!" Floragato screamed as she quickly snatched him and she and Floragato ran as fast as they could to get away from the wild Pineco before they would cause them to self-destruct. "Those things are bad! They blow up if you make 'em mad!"
"Bad buggies! Bad buggies! Bad buggies!" peeped Hatenna fearfully as they ran until they eventually crashed into something shiny and silver and were knocked down.
The three Pokémon were dazed but shook themselves to get rid of the impact they felt but they were surprised to find a familiar Razorwhip dragon staring at them in surprise as well, especially since Liko wasn't with them.
"Serrate! What are you doing here?" Floragato piped up.
"I was worried for you and Liko, guys. I left camp to go and look for you when you didn't return, what happened?" Serrate asked.
"Baby Brother Terapagos wandered off into the forest while Mama and her friends were discussing report topics and we had to look for him until we heard a loud boom. We also noticed Mama wasn't with us when she started looking for him so we followed the boom sound thinking it was her until we found Terapagos on his back after surprising a wild Pineco," Hatenna explained quickly.
"...I see, and where's Liko? Did she show up after you found him?"
"No, she just vanished and we have no idea where she could've gone," Floragato replied as she got Terapagos back in her arms before he could wander off again.
"Mmm... That is a problem and we don't know where she's at, so, then..." the Razorwhip hummed, knowing they were in a conundrum until they heard what sounded like a familiar panicked shriek from an area close by. "Wait! ...Liko, I hear her! It is! It must be, she's in trouble!"
"She is?! I know that panicked yelling anywhere, come on!"
On Floragato's word, the quartet quickly dashed to Liko's current location, hoping she was not in any serious trouble judging by the shriek she just let out.
At the same time, the young girl in question was wondering how she was going to get out of the trench she was in, especially since it was getting hotter by the minute. Her thinking had to wait as she was soon in the presence of an army of Toedscool gathering in the trench with some on the other side of the cliff pulling on some of the vines that spanned across the trench itself.
"Toedscool... There are so many vines here... Wait, are they really...?" she began until she was spotted by the Toedscool army and they rounded up on her curiously, making her scream and thinking they were going to attack her.
That was until Serrate and Floragato arrived while carrying Hatenna and Terapagos as they jumped into the trench.
"Floragato, Serrate! Terapagos, Hatenna, you too!" Liko cried in shocked relief as she saw her Pokémon and dragon.
"You bastards...! What are you doing? What do you want with Liko?!" Flroagato growled threateningly as she held her bud out, ready to fight the Toedscool.
But, her protective instincts as her fur bristled got a completely different reaction from the Toedscool army; they froze and were frightened by her threat, unsure of how to react and what to do as they murmured to each other (wondering what they should do if they make her really mad).
"Floragato's trying to protect me, thinking the Toedscool were about to hurt me... But, the Toedscool, they wouldn't...!" Liko realized, seeing how scared the Paldean counterparts of the original Tentacool were.
"Come on! You want a piece of me?!" Floragato threatened again, daring the Toedscool to come at her.
"Floragato, wait! Don't hurt them! Stop!" the young girl cried beggingly as she rushed to her partner and hugged her, only to pull back as her bristled fur pricked her again (shocking the spunky Paldea Grass Starter as she turned to her).
"Liko, you-!" Floragato began, astonished.
"It's okay... I'm alright, you were just trying to protect me. I'm sure Serrate is, too. But, the Toedscool don't mean any harm; they haven't done anything to me. I'm fine now, really..."
She hugged Floragato again, giving her partner her full assurance that she was okay and no harm came to her (while also mentally apologizing for not giving her the attention she needed whenever she focused on Hatenna and Terapagos). Floragato didn't know what to think as her fur pricked into Liko yet again while she hugged her but eventually, after realizing she was okay and seeing that no harm had indeed come to her from the Toedscool, she relaxed (her fur becoming soft once more and no longer pricking the young girl once everyone had all calmed down).
"Thank you, Floragato," Liko smiled at her partner, relieved to know that she finally understood there was no danger involved which earned her a relieved nuzzle and a gentle purr from Serrate.
Then, to their surprise, Terapagos came forward to the Toedscool army and asked them what the problem was, wondering if he and his family could help with what was bothering them. The Toedscool all looked at each other and simultaneously pointed them with their small tentacle-like arms to the vines sprawling across the wide gap. They even further emphasized this by trying to pull and release the vines themselves but were unable to given their own diminutive size and strength despite their greater numbers (something Hatenna immediately realized as she pointed to Liko, Floragato, and Serrate to the vines).
"Oh...! You all wanted those vines gone from here, right?" the young girl asked the Toedscool, now knowing the problem.
The Toedscool confirmed this and after helping Serrate get her rider and her family free from the trench, Liko and her partner proceeded to help the Woodear Pokémon get rid of the vines for what they wanted to do (after they thanked the Grass/Ground Types for helping them out).
"Let's go, Floragato!"
"Got it!"
"Magical Leaf, let's go!"
With that, Floragato unleashed her signature attack, her leaves cutting through every last one of the vines that spanned over the trench's gap. The Toedscool were amazed and delighted by this as they all cheered for their new friends, thanking them for their help. Then, with the trench unobscured by the vines, they turned towards the sky to either their right or left and got into position for what they were about to do as the sun reached its peak and burned at its hottest (leaving Liko and her team wondering what was going to happen).
Eventually, a large gust of wind blew and to their amazement, a tornado formed in the trench as the wind blew to where the vines covering the Toedscool were. The Toedscool all cheered again as they all happily jumped into the tornado and released flower petals from their bodies, gradually forming the very sight that Liko personally wanted to watch and share with Floragato.
"It can't be! Is that...the Flower Pillar?!" she balked.
Needless to say, as they watched the Flower Pillar take shape and see it link the land and the sky together, Liko and her team were awestruck. Floragato, in particular, gazed at the Flower Pillar in utter and silent fascination, her eyes twinkling as she had never seen a sight so rare and beautiful in her life.
"You know, I once heard from Dot that anybody who was able to see the Flower Pillar link together the land and the sky...was supposed to find happiness. I'm glad that everyone here was able to see this. Even you, Floragato," the young girl grinned at her partner, gently taking her left paw and feeling her soft fur.
Floragato shared Liko's sentiments as she let her jealousy of Hatenna and Terapagos getting her partner's attention more often slide off and licked her right arm (knowing it had been pricked earlier when her fur originally bristled), turning her attention back to the Flower Pillar with their bond and friendship strengthened and renewed (which would be essential to help them continue their journey through the Terastal Course) and with Serrate, Hatenna, and Terapagos watching the beautiful spectacle before them continue on.
That night, Liko and her team reunited with everyone else and she told them everything that happened while they all prepared dinner (with Marena, Mallow, and Arven lending their cooking skills to provide a spread that'll last everyone the entire night and Sarah activating the Tera Cloak to help everyone rest up and sleep better throughout).
"Boy, Sarah, you sure got everyone loving the new dishes and drinks Queen Jewel introduced you to," Simon quipped, seeing how happy their family was with the new dishes they were eating while the others were getting more food including stew, sandwiches, and curry ready.
"That's true but I'm going with the Honey Strips and Baked Seafood Platter before going for zebra, wildebeast, and gazelle here."
"Same," Sarah and Race replied.
The new dishes Simon referred to were as follows: Savanna Meat Skewers (chunks of grilled zebra, wildebeast, and gazelle meat on skewers marinated in a honey-herb glaze), Antelope Honey Roast (slow-cooked antelope topped with a honey drizzle and roasted bee herbs), Lion Tail Sausage Rolls (rolls made with lion sausage encased in a flaky pastry and deep-fried), and Gazelle Honey-Pepper Stir Fry (tender gazelle strips sautéed with bell peppers and honey).
The new dishes were mainly handed over to Lightning Chill, Farleap, Silentstalk, Swoop, Anga, Shauku, Furaha, Hydra, Rune, Aku, Sunce, Karabi, Kyoga, Storm, Flurry, Pyrrah, Avel, Zalkia, Fang, Firestar, Bluestar, Rexy, Tsar, Hunter, Blue, Charlie, Delta, Razor, Red, Panthera, Ghost (Atrociraptor), Tiger, Sapphira, Drogon, Embera, Galeon, Zephyr, Viserion, Sunfyre, Summer, Sheena, Vhagar, Syrax, Wanda, Will, Felix, Cosmo, Lyla, Raven, Terry, Arcane, Gigas, Swift, Meg, Esme, and the Ohana Pride (Ahadi, Mwali, Jiwe, The Musuli Sisters-Alia, Audrey, and Ebba, Mawli, Kanzi, Sefu, Mhina, River, Chai, Pasha, Tily, Daudi, Mazikine, Delilah the Sand Cat, Crowley the Wolf, Namiri the Black Panther, and the youngest of the pride, Kai).
With those dishes, the young couple now have a means to provide their Mythicals a more factual meat diet they were known for and give the the nutrients they needed (especially for Drogon, Embera, Galeon, Zephyr, Zalkia, and Fang as they used the Engorgement Charm to make them bigger so they could eat).
"...I mean, how can you all eat that...?" Race continued awkwardly.
"I know this seems impractical to you kids but it's as the human Andrew Zimern always said, 'if it looks good, eat it'," Marena grinned, helping herself to a Hive Herb Salad (fresh Hive-grown herbs, leafy greens, and golden Stuffed Savanna Mushrooms (large mushrooms filled with herbs, spices, and breadcrumbs)) and Cinnamon Spice Tea (a herbal tea infusion sweetened with honey).
"Mmm! Yeah, this is good stuff!" Terry grinned via Telepathy through Race and Sarah's stones as he ate Herbed Antelope Steaks (expertly grilled steaks from antelope meat with fragrant herbs and a side of vegetables).
"Easy for you to say even though Race and I are half-lion and half-Pyroar. With all that stuff we made for you guys, you're chowing down like there's no tomorrow," Sarah replied, raising an eyebrow at him.
"You know, that's exactly what Ms. Ruby and the other queens always tell us whenever we would have a meal while we were living with them and you were at school. But, what can we say? Sometimes, we just love to eat! You'll love these dishes just as much as we do!" Swift reassured happily.
As for Liberty, the Junior Patrollers, the Renlings, and the Kwamis, they were helping themselves to Tropical Fruit Tarts (buttery tart shells each filled with a medley of colorful tropical fruits from mangoes and pineapples to kiwis, all topped with a glossy glaze), Coconut Cream Pies (rich and creamy pies made from fresh coconut milk topped with fluffy whipped cream and toasted coconut flakes), and Gazelle's Grace Smoothies (a fruity mix of banana, mango, and coconut milk in the form of a smoothie).
With Winter and the dragons, they had Coconut Curry Shrimp (poached shrimp simmering in a creamy coconut curry sauce with vegetables), Spaghetti with Clam Sauce (spaghetti tossed with clams, garlic, and parsley), and Baked Lobster Make and Cheese (creamy macaroni and cheese baked with succulent lobster).
Tori, Brightstar, Catastros, Starla, Bumpy and her family, Chomp, Munch, Paris, Fuki, Mia, Nessie, Guru, the Niffler Quartet, Celestia, Roseluck, Faraji, Muhimu, Swala, Kyubi, Kistune, Farleap, Nimbus, Neptune, Minvera, Asmodeus, Nagini, Severus, Orchard, Orion, Callisto, Adhira, Tesla, Angel, Rebel, Ripper, Billy, and Topsy, on the other hand, had Tropical Fruit Salsa (a mix of refreshing diced mango, pineapple, and papaya served with plantain chips) and Savory Coconut Rice (fluffy rice cooked in creamy coconut milk topped with toasted coconut flakes) with Rainbow Vegetable Stir Fry (a medley of chopped bell peppers, snap peas, and carrots in a sweet soy glaze).
"Yeah, these drinks from Queen Jewel are cool!" Xuppu quipped as he popped a pineapple from the fruit tarts.
"Very, very delicious!" Tikki agreed, holding a mango in her tiny arms.
"I'm happy that you liked them," Sarah told them.
Lazuli was impressed as she had fried Honey-Mustard Chicken Strips (crispy chicken strips coated in a sweet honey mustard sauce) with Coconut Lime Fizz (coconut flavor with a hint of wine), "Damn, this food slaps, girl. Your friends from Dragonstone can sure cook."
"Agreed, I haven't had good food like this in a while."
"Compliments to the ladies in charge of this wild banquet, kid," Jane and Rooster remarked as the Gold Lightspeed Ranger ate her Tropical Fruit Salsa.
"Most exemplary, Princess. A fine dinner to end an eventful first day in the wilderness returning to Uva Academy," Entei concurred as he happily drank his Hive Nectar Smoothie (a smoothie made from fresh fruit and a drizzle of nectar for added sweetness).
Even Dodonzo (who was now the biggest addition to Lazuli's team standing at a height of 39'04" and known as a glutton according to his nature) eagerly scarfed down a Coconut Cream Pie after Sarah used the Engorgement Charm to make him bigger.
"I'll have to teach your mom the Engorgement Charm for that, Lazuli," chuckled Sarah.
"Funny," Lazuli groaned.
"All the same, I'm sure the Tera Raids were a great workout for your team. You all worked up a sweat and your new understanding of the phenomenon will greatly contribute to our region's research," Carmine smiled in appreciation.
"And, the newbies you've beaten and captured are already fitting in," Kieran grinned, looking at the new additions to the swordswoman's team.
"Well, I do say, they're already becoming part of the family," Seiya admitted, chuckling. "Those raids were no picnic but they're worth everything we earned for my and Mary's little Dewdrop."
"What?! You...you actually saw the Flower Pillar! That's incredible, Liko!"
Back with Dot, Liko, and Roy, after the young girl finished telling her friends everything she went through and how she, Floragato, Serrate, Hatenna, and Terapagos found the Flower Pillar and discovered how it was created, they were completely astounded.
"Yeah, I've never seen anything like it. But, it wasn't actually petals like I once thought; it was actually the Toedscool letting out their flaps in the wind," Liko confirmed.
"Really?! That's so cool! I'm sure that'll make an awesome report for Mr. Jacq!" Roy brightened as he had listened quietly to the whole thing.
Dot looked at the article on her Rotom Phone and nodded, "I see... That explains it; the strong winds in the trench you were in created a tornado and the Toedscool that gathered there are in the habitat, using the wind to get their flaps peeled off. By the way, you did record it on video, right?"
Liko gasped; in her awe at seeing the Flower Pillar for what it really was, she had forgotten to record a video of it in its entirety let alone take photos of it for her report.
"Huh? W-What about photos?" Roy asked worriedly.
Immediately, Liko became apologetic, "I...I'm sorry, I completely forgot about that. I was so caught up in the moment, I didn't even think of taking any photos recording it."
Roy let out a sheepish laugh while Dot groaned, "Man, what a damn waste."
Despite that folly, Liko smiled reassuringly as she told them, "But, even so, it's not all bad. I got a good look at the pillar so it's still fresh in my mind. I'm going to draw an illustration for it, I'm sure Mr. Jacq will accept that for my report."
"Well, you make sure to let us see it when you're done," Roy stated as he and Dot smiled at her.
"Right."
The young girl then looked at Floragato, musing about the day's events and what she had learned, "Learning about a new Pokémon I've only seen once before was nice and all but nothing's better for me than getting to learn more about Floragato herself..."
"I'm happy by how everything went today. What about you, Floragato?"
The spunky Paldea Grass Starter looked at her human partner and she smiled back, telling her, "...Yeah, me too."
Epilogue
But, while the heroes continued with the Terastal Course in peace, at their main headquarters, Hamber, Gibeon, Spinel, Amethio, Coral, Sidian, and Chalce were overseeing footage of their recent failed confrontation with the little princess, her friends, and her family. They were trying to figure out what gave their foes such an edge during the battle and what they should do to counter all of the safety measures they have against them.
"So, it's true; the princess has indeed captured a Rayquaza of her own. And, by the looks of it, she and her family now have eight Zords, all lions and with different abilities. They are nothing like the Zords of old belonging to the previous Power Ranger teams since the Mighty Morphin team came to be with their Dino Zords," Gibeon contemplated with intrigue, his voice breaking the silence. "But, what I'm most concerned about is what she had done to Glalie, allowing Lucius' Rayquaza to counter his Self-Destruct. That roar-it is truly a mystery. No human has ever been capable of pulling such a feat..."
Hamber frowned as he nodded in agreement, "That roar is most extraordinary, it's far beyond the capabilities of any Pokémon."
"I will admit, even I was surprised to see the princess use such a power on her."
"Indeed, no Pokémon has ever been capable of using such a roar of that strength and magnitude. There may be some sort of witchcraft involved," Chalce and Sidian remarked thoughtfully.
"Yeah. But, that royal geek got a lucky shot in on us; if we see her again, Glalie and I will give her what's what. But, what I don't get is what is that stupid yell, anyway. And, how did she learn it?" grumbled Coral.
"Well, if you ask me, it's elementary; I've done a little digging into that roar and I've come across something rather surprising about it. It's the legendary Roar of the Elders, a power spoken only in the lore of Disney's The Lion Guard children's TV series," Spinel grinned with a soft chuckle.
"Are you serious?! A powerful cry like that, born from a TV show? For real...? Now, that I had no idea, sounds pretty cool," Coral barked at him, mixing between frustration and awe.
"Interesting... I've never known something so enchanted and mysterious as the Roar of the Elders coming from something simple as a kid's TV show," Sidian admitted, impressed.
"Well, as we've seen earlier back at Levincia Lighthouse, it's real. And, the trouble is, the princess is its new wielder so it makes her not only an extraordinary human but also the biggest obstacle in our path. Lazuli, undoubtedly, would be on par with her given her swordplay and her twenty years of working with us before her betrayal," Chalce replied firmly and with intrigue.
Sidian nodded, "And, since that power only comes from Simba's bloodline and whoever it is passed down upon, after returning to the Tree of Life when Kion and his friends stepped down from the Lion Guard to become part of the Night Pride, she has the Spirit of the Lion. She must've somehow been imbued with it and that allowed the roar to go to her."
"Hmm, the Roar of the Elders makes her an even greater threat so we must be careful to get rid of her," Gibeon noted.
Then, a wicked gleam came to Spinel's eyes as he proposed with a smirk, "If you'll permit me to speak, Master Gibeon, I might have an idea on how to deal with the princess and the Roar of the Elders. If it works, it will not only be her undoing but it will also strip her of the precious roar she flaunts in her wake."
Amethio, however, was skeptical of Spinel's proposal as he rebutted, "Are you sure she would even fall for such an obvious setup? The princess is not as stupid as you thought; she knew about Chalce, Sidian, and Coral's plan of espionage on Uva Academy and worked out a series of foolproof safety measures with her friends to ensure we never set one foot inside it. That's why they were booted out the moment they tried to waddle their way in. And, what's more, she's just as smart if not smarter than you so her mentality is much more mature than you could expect."
But, Spinel was undeterred as he arrogantly told Gibeon's grandson, "I know she'll trip up this time, Amethio. If she reacts to what I've done as she should, she'll soon exhaust herself, and with any luck, the Roar will weaken just enough for us to strike when the iron is hot-or make her disappear entirely..."
