A/N Okay, this story is mostly light-hearted even if the last arc did veer toward angsty dark because a stray comment Joyce made led to a thought I want to eventually explore more, just why is Dawn important to the world, precious, as Joyce put it? Having nothing from the show to go on leaves a whole lot of potential possibilities to explore and if not in this story, than I will in others. If anyone's got any theories, please feel free to comment on them, they may get incorporated into this or future stories as well. In the meantime, it's time for another Dawn adventure and this one will touch on a story I'll also be expanding into its own story at some point, the XanderHalliwell story, as in Xander is a part of the Charmed Ones' family. So many possibilities on that idea, but let's just point out a few canon facts from Charmed that could be used to make Xander part of the Charmed Ones family.

Their mother, Patty, refers to her favorite Aunt Phoebe but never clarifies if that Phoebe is from the Hallliwell's side of the family or her father's side of the family and no mention is made of whether she had children of her own. Given both she and Penny, her mother, are fond of P names, that Phoebe could be Penny's sister or cousin. We know Piper's soul was a part of the woman who became Penny's mother, but we don't know if she had more then one child and no mention is made of her two cousins ever having children, including Phoebe's past self who went evil. The family tree they have is very messed up and can't be used as an accurate guide.

When the Charmed Ones first learn they're witches Piper comments on some of their relatives, which includes a cousin who's a drunk, but again, no clarification on which side of the family. Tony Harris is established as a drunk. Penny makes a comment that men don't deal well in their family when it comes to power. It's always assumed that the Warren family has always born girls, but that's never actually stated on the show, well except for when Penny rejects Wyatt because he's male. It's possible some males have been born and maybe didn't handle power well and had to have it bound. See Chris and a potential future with an evil Wyatt or maybe the males were born powerless and were jealous that the girls had power and they didn't.

If we make it that Tony is the drunk cousin Piper referred to, that ties Xander to the Hallliwell's. (Although I could write several stories connecting Xander to them in a wide variety of ways, for the purposes of this particular one, that's the scenario I'm going with.)
