Life is hard. Sometimes it takes hold of the reins and leads the rider along a different road. Sometimes that road is far away from home. Slim and Jess are on that road. But the way life is leading them, those roads may never come together again.

Slim hears a conversation between Doctor Sam and Mort. When he hears the words. " he's going to die and soon" he thinks they are talking about himself. He goes about straightening out his life while upending Jess' without saying a word. Story is told by Jess Harper.

A collection of stories all featuring a day in the life of one of the Laramie characters, most all from the tv show but some from my imagination (you've met them before).
