-Bailey's POV-
It was the final hours of Krypton when my parents came running in my room, their facial expressions scared and worried as they told me to come with them. At first, I was so confused and scared that all I grabbed was a bag with my notes, journal entries, and two pictures. I made sure to have a bag packed prior to this day because I didn't know for sure when it would be time to leave for good. Also in my bag, I had one picture of me with my parents and my baby brother Kal-El, the other one had me, my parents, my Aunt and Uncle, my cousin Kara, and baby Kal-El. I wanted to make sure I had the important stuff with me. As we rush to the loading dock where the ships are, on our way to where Uncle Zor-El and Aunt Alura are with my cousin Kara, in my own train of thought, all I could think of was how scared I was, because I was about travel the galaxy to get to Earth and be safe from the destruction of Krypton. Once we get to the location, my thoughts go blank when I see three ships and it dawns on me that it's actually happening and it's not a messed up dream. I see Kara is already in one of the ships while she's saying her goodbyes to her parents, and before getting in my ship, I run over to where they are and hug them. I wish Kara safe travels as I let go of her embrace, and then I look to my Aunt and Uncle, their eyes filled with unshed tears and sorrow, my heart begins to break and with one last look at them I run back to my parents and hug them. "Please, don't make me go. I want to stay here with you." I ask pleadingly while tears of sorrow fall silently down my cheeks.
With a mournful expression, my mom responds sadly "I'm sorry my dear Bailey, aside from Kal-El, you're the only other natural birth, you have a chance to choose who you want to be, and hopefully it's for the good. You'll find the family your father picked for you and Kal."
"But what if we get separated and he lives with the chosen family and not me? Then what?" I ask, becoming a bit skeptical, because anything could happen in the unknown of space, but then again, I am thinking too much into it because I'm terrified underneath my calm.
Then my father chimes in and silences my train of thought, "Bailey, your ship will be going to the same planet as Kal-El and Kara which is, Earth. When you get there, if you want, find Kara and help with raising Kal-El. You'll be fine, I promise. I love you, we love you. You must get going now before it's too late my dear Bailey." He caresses my cheek lovingly, and with a sad expression "Good bye my dear. Remember, we'll still be in your heart as you'll be in ours." With a nod, with one last glance, I get into my ship to go into the unknown.
"But Kal-El already has a chosen family for him. And I'm not going to interfere." I replied, before closing my ship's door, respecting my Father's wishes. I look at my father one last time, and he finally understands. With one last hug and kiss from both of them, in my memories, the ship sends me off. I noticed Kal-El and Kara already left. As my ship exited the planet, that's when I heard it, a noise I will never forget. -BOOM- and my unshed tears begin to fall.
Suddenly, in the midst of my grief, I felt my ship begin to get shaky. Before I could really process everything that just transpired, I realized that my ship had been caught in the aftershocks of the explosion. Before I have a chance to control my ship, I get sucked into this weird looking vortex before passing out and going into hibernation mode that will preserve my body from aging until I make it to my destination.
