The world seemed to hold its breath as Ahsoka and Anakin waited for the Jedi Council members to come back. Anakin had quickly briefed her on the situation, and now she was just as tense as him as they waited.
Suddenly, the doors opened, and Master Windu walked over to them, nodding to Ahsoka before focusing on Anakin.
"Skywalker, you showed immense emotional restraint by informing us of this and waiting patiently to return. You have earned my respect, and I believe I speak for the whole Council when I say that you will be granted the title of Master."
Ahsoka fidgeted behind her back, already annoyed the senior Jedi Master. Anakin's beat her to the chase, though.
"And what of Palpatine? Is he dead?" The two watched as Windu's face immediately closed off.
"Yes, Skywalker, he is dead. Understand that as a Sith Lord, he must be killed to ensure order."
"And what about the Senate?" Ahsoka asked. "Who will lead the Republic now?" Mace looked down his nose at her with a faintly disdainful expression.
"They will vote on an acting Chancellor for the time being." Mace discreetly gestured toward the door, and Ahsoka nearly rolled her eyes. It was obvious he didn't want her there.
"Of course, Masters." Ahsoka bowed and left the Chambers, walking toward where she knew the other young Jedi would be gathering at this time- the courtyard.

There were several courtyards in the Temple, but there was one that the Jedi youth seemed to claimed for themselves over the course of the Clone Wars. As expected several dozens of Jedi padawans, younglings and some of the very newest knights had gathered there. Among them were the younglings Katooni, Pedro, Gungi, Ganodi, Zantac and Byph and padawan Caleb Dume. Ahsoka walked to the front of this small crowd, as she was the unelected leader.
"Attention, everyone!" Once everyone turned towards her, Ahsoka continued. "I know you all are wondering what has happened. Palpatine was unveiled as the Sith Lord the council has been looking for, and Master Windu killed him. The war is over." Everyone started murmuring, as they had been fighting this war for three years. Many of them could barely remember how it was during times of peace.
"What do we do now? I don't want to completely forsake everything I've learned during this war." A twi'lek girl called out. Ahsoka pondered that. As she hadn't wanted to stay with the Jedi, only her men, who probably weren't going to be bound to serving the Republic anymore, she thought about leaving, too. Then her decision was made.
"I'm leaving the Jedi, and you're welcome to join me. We can form a new Order, one that doesn't limit the abilities of its members. You can be who you want to be." A murmur went around, and for a moment, Ahsoka felt nervous. What if they didn't want to? But her fears were extinguished when the first person, Katooni, stepped forward.
"I will." Dozens more voices echoed her, raising their hands and stepping forward. Some didn't want to, so nobody would force them. But it appeared many youth felt the same way she did, burdened by the Jedi.
"All right, then. Let's go over the complications and then a few of us will go before the Council and announce the names and the plan of everyone leaving. So, let's get started."
