Chapter 1: the sea town in trouble
From the last chapter Lucifer and Adams sub was sinking as the other got on the attack to get them before the Ghost leviathan and the investor can get them as it sunk close to the leviathans maw
Loona: Adam
Blitzo: we got you covered Adam
The torpedos fired hitting it a it screeched with the one Adam and Lucifer were in were flunged away as the ship was snatched by the other subs
Loona: watch your right dive please
Blitzo: no problem
The investor riding on the Ghost leviathan watched growling as it spread up a cloud of sand up as it vanished into the sand.
"Um where is the leviathan?" Asked Adam "It disappeared" said Hearing "at least the ghost leviathan wasnt atlatian" said Lucifer with a sigh but got serious "But that investor…its controling it but why?" He wondered worried as the pods came to the surface as radio speaker up.
Captain: the creature buckled hull plates fore and aft, we'll be lucky to get to the port for repairs I'll send a launch for you
Once on the surface, the group helped Adam and Lucifer out of the broken pod before noticing land "(On the intercom) dont worry about us captain just take care of the Avyonian, there's a fishing village to the northeast, we'll be there when you finish repairs" said Adam just as the broken pod sank when he, Lucifer, Naruto, Vaggie and Charlie got off "Well there goes the sub pod" said Adam "That is not coming out of my pay cheque" said Loona "Okay now lets get to shore as soon as we can" said Blitzo "What the matter pops? Afraid to play patty-cake with the sea monster Ooh?" Said Loona as Blitz chuckled "Getting more sassy are we Loon, no I dont mind a little patty-cake…but I really dont wanna be here when the bombs on that sub pod hit bottom" he said as the group head to the island not knowing they were being watched before the figure vanished into the water glaring at the group.
Back with the group they were carefully venturing through the fog-covered village though Loona had on a face mask due to the smell "It looks like fishing hasn't been good lately?" Said Adam as he gently put a hand on Vaggie who was hissing nervous as if sensing something "Not surprising, no doubt that fish demon devoured the local fish stocks long ago" said Lucifer as there was a sense of unease all over as Loona looked around "There is so much damage *Studying the destroyed boats* but why is it still here?" She asked "Because it dosent eat fish anymore" said Lucifer as Blitzo pointed up to the cliffs "Maybe that's why they built the village on the cliffs you dont want that thing showing up for dinner" said Blitzo meaning that the Ghost Leviathan went after the local demon, humans and more near the village as the group entered the village…but many of the window shutters were quickly closed as if the villagers were in hiding as if scared senseless.
"Not really friendly are they?" Said Adam "There is a bad feeling in the area" said Lucifer "And the ripe smell of rotting fish" said Blitzo "Why do you accuse such a thing? I have bathed…recently" said Hearing as some of the group stepped away from the underworld rabbit "Humph no appreciation for fine underworld cologne" he said "*Chuckles a bit* easy Hearing, he's upwind of you *Sees a statue of 5 men* I say its more likely were smelling all this mildew" said Adam as Loona touches a anchor feeling the slime "Everything is wet from the fog, even my senses are picking up" she said "So who do you think who these 5 men are? They are giving me a weird vibe" said Blitzo "But you do need a bath" said Lucifer to Hearing as the underworld rabbit sniffed his armpit as Adam studies the statue "Curious way to attract tourists" he said as the group looked at a sign marked "Levathan Vertshus" on the sign as Blitzo saw something coming from the shadows "Adam we got company" he said as 5 figures walking up to the group four of the 5 males wore a fine suit but only one wore a white open chested Kimono with a pair of glasses and a sturn face holding a sword katana in his hand.
One was a tall thin male with long white hair and a white mustache goatee that reached down his upper chest
The second was a routounded male with a long mustache that seemed curled like a boars tusks
The third seemed to be younger then the other four as shown by his blonde hair and beard, a low collar revealing a scar
The last was a elderly looking man with curled ringlets and a cap on his head and walking with a walking stick as the last one seems to study the group…more so Lucifer. As Hearing and Naruto hid behind the group.
Next to the 5 men was a pale skinned thin man with a unibrow, a small mustache and dirty blonde hair styled in a comb-over with a cut in the back and a tuff on the side and dressed in a red waistcoat and a grey shirt and black pants and black shoes and wore a pair of thin-framed glasses with yellow-green tinted lenses holding a clipboard studying the group
"Humm, you seem new here? I am Rolando the secretary of our Magistrates of our town *Guestures to the elders one by one* this is Saint Mars (Pointed to the male with the long white hair who nodded) Saint Warcry (the bald tusk mustached male who nodded as well) Sait Nusjuro (To the swords man who seems to be studying Adam) Saint Peter (gestured to the blonde haired male Peter: you are welcome to our town young ones) and Finally Saint Saturn (Points to the male with the cane)" he said "It is nice to see you all now tell us what brings you to our small town?" Asked Saturn as Adam gathering his courage held his hand out "Nice to meet you my name is Adam Bridgeman a pleasure to meet you" he said but got nervous as he felt he was studied by Mars whos gaze was similar to a birds, sharp and calculating as Warcry and Peter seemed corguel to look and not give him that feeling of scrutiny, both Nusjuro and Saturn…they unerve him like Mars "We severally double that there is anything in Levos that concerns you" said Saturn as Lucifer spoke up glaring "And what about your town pet that nearly sank our ship?" He said sharply as Ronoldo seemed to give a look as the 5 elders seem to stare at the angel "Your ship will be repaired at the Shipyards not far from here you should leave soon the roads can get treacherous after dark" said Warcry
"We are just hoping that we can see the scenery and just enjoy the place" said Adam trying to defuse the situation "Levos has plenty of good views " said Peter "Lady Belle is the innkeeper here she'll give you rooms for the night a driver will take you to the main town tommorow" said Nusjuro as the 5 some studied the group as they and Rolando left but out of ear shot.
"You have been calm and quiet ever since seeing that pure blooded, amazing that we thought they were extinct due to breeding out" said Saturn cooly "If I to keep control and make sure your identities aren't blown one needs a level head *has a glint* plus that angel is a Aveyonian angel…well it seems it will be more tasteful to punish a aveyond angel or better yet Seras own son" he said with a dark chuckle as back with our heros "I seen a person like Ronoldo someplace before…I think under a rock, or in a tree Knott, a kind of salamanders type" said Blitzo about the elders secretary as the group entered the in but once the door opened Naruto suddenly darts into the building "Naruto no!" Yelled Adam as the lava fox ran towards the fireplace and jumped into it and curled up the flames not affecting him at all as he purred in satisfaction. "Well he was born in molten rock" said Lucifer snickering "Wasnt those 5 elders that statue guy?" said Loona curious "Could be but they feel much older then they look…even Peter he has that strange aura" said Adam worried at that feeling of the strange elders.
"They say they made a deal with the deep devils to live forever *A half angel as shown by her gem and wings steppes in to bring in drinks with a far distance haunted look in her eyes" said the innkeeper as she walked up to the group "But forgot to ask for eternal youth" she said offering hot tea "Here this will drive the fog from your bones" she said as one by one the heros took a cup "Thank you" said Adam "thanks" said Hearing "Thank you um?" Asked Lucifer "My name is Belle (Beauty and the beast) as she had a distant look "There is a darkness around those five elders…and there shadows has dimmed all that was happy hear, we would leave but this inn is all me and my husband Adam have, its no place to raise my dear Ben and Roseabell, things will not change here until its power is broken" she said sad "We are sorry about that " said Adam "That Ronoldo guy? Was he a villager?" Asked Blitzo having a bad feeling about that man as Belle studied the imp "he is a unknown but that is all I will say, I will prepare rooms for you, but do not cross either Ronoldo and the elders (Sternly) and leave as soon as you can" she said as she walked off as the heros watched.
"Well that is ominous, but it dosent mean we will be scared off" said Blitzo "Right, maybe we can track either Ronoldo or the elders to figure out what they are planing "Then we need to be careful I have a bad feeling" said Lucifer. That night as the village was asleep yet blanketed with a fog, Rolando with a lanturn walked into the fog as the others watched "Come on just follow his lanturn" said Adam as they carefully followed the lanturn light as they followed the mysterious man as Loona ears twitched "I hear something" she whispered "I do to" said Adam but mostly it was a feeling as they slowly went into the fog.
"Where is it coming from?" Asked Lucifer as the sound seems to resonated "What is it?" Asked Loona "*Gasping* its not of this earth" said Hearing "No calm down you sissies that is a bird…a very big bird or a puffin…with a upset stomach" said Blitzo "Uh no its voices I cant make out what they are…"Started Adam but the lanturn light was gone "Um where is Ronoldo?" Asked Lucifer seeing he was gone "*Sighing* we better head back to the village to plan again" said Adam as they tried to walk back carefully so they are not followed…hopefully "This is a bad feeling, we could be walking in circles" said Blitzo "And which way would that be?" Asked Loona frowning as they saw lights in the fog "Over there head for the lights before the fog closes in again" said as the group followed but Naruto, Vaggie and Charlie winned feeling something as Hearing was looking at his foot steps "What just a moment listen to the gravel" he said "Not now Hearing" said Loona frowning "But this is decomposed granite…which would mean we are head for the cliff!" He said as the group did fall as Loona used her claws to grab hard onto the cliff as a few rocks fell slashing into the waters bellow "Loona!" Yelled Adam in a panic "I'm ok for now" she said with a bit of a struggle "Carefully climb down" said Blitzo as Adam slowly climbed down "Ok I am climbing down, Loona stay where you are" said Adam "Heh here I was all set to take a walk" said Loona dryly "Keep talking to me" said Adam "I said thank you very much for leading us off a cliff" said Loona "Sass master I was heading to the village…" started Adam but as he looked up the lights vanished as he was surprised "Lights" said Adam "Ronoldo must had tricked us" said Lucifer "Guess there is more going on then the leviathan" said Adam "Oh great someone is doing some hocus-pocus I hate stuff like that" said Blitzo dryly as Loona slipped nearly as more rocks fell under her foot "We have to jump" she yelled "Uh dont jump I'll climb down" said Adam panicking "There's no room and your to heavy I have to jump" said Loona "Loona I am team leader and as such I order you to not jump" said Adam as that annoyed the hellhound "Oh that is it!" She yelled as she jumps but Adam caught her hand "See" she said calmly however she slipped as she was sliding down the slope as she slipped out of Adams hand "LOONA!" Yelled Adam in a panic but a familiar hand poked out from the wall catching her as out came hearing as he grinned "You see you cannot live without me" he said as Loona laughed at that thanks" she said as Adam and the others sighed in relief.
Back at the inn as Belle was setting the table she gasped as she noticed a familiar group approach her "Gather the possessions of the strangers and burn them" said Warcry firmly "better check to see if Seras child is still alive I want a personal talk with him" said Ronald firmly but the five elders and there secretary turned hearing a growl hiss as they saw the group "What's a matter bitches shock to see were alive?" Asked Blitzo as the group glared as Ronoldo humphed "you are brave or reckless sirs we better leave we have other buisness to take care of" Ronoldo said walking off with the five elders but as a glint…you can see a odd shadowy shape of a worm, bird, horse, pig and a spider thing as it vanished. "Defiantly there secretary Ronoldo is some sort of worm or leech, salamanders are cute with there eyes" said Blitzo "He dosent seem normal, he looks at me like he really wants to kill me" said Lucier as Naruto winned "We'd like to hear more about those five elders deal with the devil and as well as Ronoldo, you can tell he didnt belong here" said Adam as Belle crossed her arms "Its an old wives story, a folk tale nothing more" she said firmly. "Belle we all want to help lives have been taken at sea and we can guess this town" said Lucifer as Belle with a sad look looked outside "I would love to see my little ones play outside again" she said with a sad look "Then please explain" said Adam as Belle looked at them "Long ago the fish left the sea the town was in danger of dying, a bargain was struck the souls of the people for the life of the town" she said "The Ghost leviathan" said Lucifer "that was when Rolando appeared and rumors spread about him, but those that whispered about him…well" she said as that made the group suspicious and concern. "The town is provided for but no one can leave…and the sun has not shone since.
Hearing that the group hurried to the beach edge for a bit at the bottom of the cliff "Legend or not there has to be something connected to that Rolando person, I can tell that guy is suspicious" said Blitzo "More to that there has to be a connection to why that investor and ghost leviathan attacking boats" said Adam pondering "those 5 elders hands out food and and supplies from somewhere" said Lucifer as Naruto, Vaggie and Charlie sniffed the sand as they reached a stone wall "*Pats the wall do you think there is a hidden cave?" Asked Adam as Blitzo pulled out a dynamite stick "I could search, would make a very nice boom" he said as Hearing stepped forward "Hah! The answer is staring at you right in the face *points at a boulder* regard how an igneous boulder has been futile disguised as sedimentary rock they might as well paint a road sign" said Hearing as he revealed a lever hidden behind a rock pulling it before a secret passage open as Lucifer was confused "They look exactly the same to me" he said "yeah but you weren't raised by groundlings" said Loona "That would explain so much" said Lucifer at the fact how Hearing behavior due to how he was raised.
The group stepped into the cave to stop the elders plan and to figure out the connection with the ghost leviathan and the Infestor.
Authors note: And now we are going on the attack and learning about the 5 elders (One piece) and Ronoldo as well.
