It was mid-winter in Rainbow City, and True and Zee were both up inside the Wishing Tree. The two young Wishologist's were staring fixedly upon something. At first, it only looked to be an order bright pink book: But, deep down, they both knew that that wasn't the case. Why though, you may ask? Well, because of how it was found in the first place.
About a week-and-a-half ago, True had been helping her best friend, and newly appointed mentor, with the simple, yet sometimes difficult task of making sure all of the Wishes were present and accounted for. Hold it! Pause, and rewind! Did you hear me just say, 'True is training to be a Wishologest'? Yes, yes you heard that right. It all began the very morning of True's 11th birthday.
Well, you see... True, herself, has always been fascinated by the Wishes, and is unashameidly intrigued about the Wish's indavidual powers, and how exavtly they work. Anyway, now that the topic of 'Wishes', has come up: It's safe to say that True's always eager and willing to help Zee out with various different tasks whenever an uoppertunity comes knocking at her doorstep.
So, with all of that in mind: It isn't really much of a surprise to anyone in Rainbow City what exactly it was that was on the young girl's mind that very day this whole debockle began to make itself known to the anxty pre-teen blueberry-haired girl's normal, yet simple, every-day life up until her 10th birthday had come and gone.
Before the first light of dawn had even begun to light up the pich-black, erarly morning sky: True was already wide awake. She had quietly tip-toed out of bed, got dressed for the day, brushed her teeth and hair, and made a beline out the frunt door just as the first sign s of early dawn had only just moments earler begun to rise up into the darkened blue-black skyline.
She'd learned soon after turning 10 that her persanilty had begun to take a drastic shift from what it once had been when she'd been an outgoing child of the tender age of 8-and-a-half years old. Over time: True had fkund loud, and crowed places to be very overwelming and, along with a near clawstrafibic feeling that came when being stuffed in tight, or overly-small soaces. She'd also become more introverted, and could more offtsn than not be found reading. Lots and lots of reading!
The young blueberry-haired 12-year-old wanted to learn everything! She wanted to learn every singls of the Wish's name, wanted to learn how they changed forms like they do, and everything else that she possible could learn. But, what True wanted most of all, was to studdy Wishology. All she had to do: Was to gather up enough courage to ask the young Wishologist to be her mentor. And so, she goes up, and inside the Wishing Tree to talk with Zee about this particular little request of hers.
For some strange, unexplainable reason: There was something about this visit in particular that she had had with Zee on the day she turned 12 had struck a cord within her. She had asked Zee, in a burst of anxious series of stutters and stammers, if he would be willing to train her. To be her mentor, for lack of a better word: Basically, she wanted to go into Wishology for a long-winding career as a young Wishologist-in-training.
"Hmmmm... Hey, Zee! Look at this." True said, motioning with a flick of her wrist taped the name reached in gold on the front of the ominous-looking artifact. "It says here that the owner of this magical book is a girl by the name of 'Sakura Kinomoto', and, more interestingly... is that in the bottom left-hand corner of the first page: It has another name written here. A man who goes by the name 'Clow Reed'. Hmm... those names... I feel like I know them both. Somehow, I just know that this book is very special."
Zee's expression formed into a thoughtful one, and True's ceriousy only seemed to magnify tenfold. Something about those two names awoke something deep inside the young girl's very soul, and she wanted to know more.
She wanted to know more about Sakura-san and Clow-san: She just felt like something in her very code of DNA that there she knew almost instinctually only this mysterious book had the answers too. And so, with trembling hands: The young Wishologist-in-training tentatively reached out a hand, and it reacted to her touch like a magnate.
However though: Just as True reached a hand towards the golden brownish lock that was currently the only thing keeping whatever rested inside safely locked away, and tightly sealed away: A bright, and blinding, yellow-golden burst of light shot out of the front cover of the bright pink book. While that was going on - at the same time: The seal on binding part of said glowing book broke free with a soft 'Click'.
"Thunderbolts and lightning!" the two young teens exclaimed with pure shock. "What in the name of the Wishing Tree is going on?" True's mind was racing with a million thoughts all fighting for her undevided attention.
"What in the name of Clow Reed is going on?" At the same time that her brain was turned into a scrambled mess: True was also still trying her absolute hardest to try and puzzle out some sort of explanation for what was happening right now.
"Why did this sealed magical book react to me? What does it have hidden inside? And, most importantly: Why in the name of the Wishing Tree was it kept here, locked away somewhere with the branches of said tree?"
Shutting their eyes tightly against the blinding golden glow, the two young children waited for what felt like an eternity for the blinding glow to completely fade away, all the while even more various then they'd both been upon first laying their eyes upon the majestic gold lion-like, winged creature thing that stared back at them from the front cover of the book.
"I may cause problems for you, but you'll definitely be alright..." Rang a familiar voice in the back of True's mind.
"That voice... Is that Clow-san's voice?" Pondered True silently to herself, teal-colored eyes gradually re-focusing back into the real world, just as the bright golden-yellow glow finally began to fade from the now teal-blue colored book of former Clow Cards - er - more accurately - former Sakura Cards.
"True."
True was thrown back into reality by the sound of Zee's panicked call of her name.
Blinking, and now finding herself eye-to-eye with her best friend, and mentor, True wasn't sure what to do or say to wash away Zee's constant, yet concerned stare.
