Chapter Nine :Tensions and Temptations

The morning sunlight streamed through the windows of the Uzumaki household, bathing the living room in a warm, golden glow. Saruyo sat at the edge of the couch, her arms crossed and her sharp, icy eyes fixed on Kushina, who stood in the kitchen with her hands on her hips.

"Saruyo," Kushina said firmly, her tone leaving no room for argument, "you need to stay home today. You fainted in the car yesterday. You need to rest."

Saruyo's cold expression didn't falter. "I'm fine," she replied, her voice calm yet stubborn, a layer of frost underlying every word.

"I know you're strong, and I know you think you can handle it," Kushina said with a warm smile, "but no. Rest is non-negotiable."

Saruyo opened her mouth to protest, but Kushina held up a hand, stopping her.

"No 'but,' Saruyo," Kushina continued, her voice gentle but resolute. "Naruto will go to campus alone today."

Naruto, standing near the doorway with his bag slung over his shoulder, scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "It's fine, Saruyo. I go alone all the time. You don't have to—"

"I *know* you go alone," Saruyo interrupted, her voice sharp, though her gaze softened as she looked at him. "But I want to go with you."

Naruto gave her a reassuring smile. "I'll be fine," he said simply.

Saruyo clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms as she tried to suppress her frustration. She hated being left behind. More than that, she hated the thought of anyone else—especially Ino—getting close to Naruto in her absence.

Saruyo let out a resigned sigh and leaned back into the couch, her icy demeanor barely hiding the storm brewing in her mind. Her gaze flicked to Naruto, who was getting ready to leave.

He wore a simple but well-fitted light blue T-shirt, the color complementing his sunny blonde hair and warm blue eyes. His dark gray jeans were slightly faded but hugged his frame well, giving him a casual, effortless charm. Saruyo couldn't help but notice how good he looked, and a small twinge of annoyance flared in her chest as she thought about the other girls who might notice him, too.

Meanwhile, Saruyo was dressed in her casual loungewear—a loose white crop top that hung off one shoulder, exposing her collarbone and a hint of her toned midriff. Her shorts were soft gray and just short enough to reveal her long, slender legs. Her icy aura was contrasted by her relaxed attire, though the intensity in her eyes remained.

Kushina noticed Saruyo's silent frustration and gave her an encouraging smile. "It's okay, Saruyo. Naruto will manage just fine on his own."

Saruyo sighed again, a little louder this time, and finally stood up. Her expression softened slightly as she approached Naruto.

"Fine," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Then, without warning, she wrapped her arms around him in a firm embrace, pressing herself against him. Naruto's face instantly turned crimson as he felt the softness of her ample chest against him.

"S-Saruyo!" he stammered, his words catching in his throat.

She ignored his embarrassment and looked up at him, her icy eyes meeting his flustered ones. Without hesitation, she leaned in and kissed him firmly on the lips, her hands gripping his shirt as if she were anchoring him to her. The kiss lingered, passionate and possessive, leaving Naruto too stunned to react.

When she finally pulled away, she whispered against his lips, "Take care of yourself."

Naruto's face was beet red as he nodded quickly. "Y-Yeah. I will."

Saruyo released him, her frosty demeanor returning as she stepped back and crossed her arms. Naruto hurried out the door, still flustered, and Kushina couldn't suppress the laughter bubbling up inside her.

As the door closed behind Naruto, Kushina glanced at Saruyo, who was now staring at the ground, her expression thoughtful.

In Kushina's mind, she chuckled mischievously. *What's Saruyo going to do when she finds out about the surprise I planned for Naruto's birthday? Ino showing up as his surprise gift will definitely stir things up.*

Meanwhile, Saruyo's mind raced. Her cold expression betrayed none of her inner turmoil, but her thoughts were fixated on one thing: *That blonde bimbo… Ino. She might try something while I'm not there. I wouldn't put it past her.*

Saruyu clenched her fists again, but took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down. She returned to her room and sat on the bed, her gaze falling on the bracelet Naruto had given her for her birthday last month. It was a simple, elegant silver bracelet with a small fox-shaped charm.

She traced her fingers over the charm, a rare smile ghosting her lips. "His birthday is in a few days," she murmured to herself. "I need to get everything ready. It has to be perfect."

Her determination hardened as she began mentally planning the details of her gift, the thought of Naruto's smile fueling her resolve.

The bright morning sun hung high in the sky as Naruto stepped onto the university campus, his hands stuffed nervously into his pockets. His light blue T-shirt clung comfortably to his frame, while his dark gray jeans were slightly faded, giving him a casual but put-together appearance. His mind wandered, thinking about Saruyo resting back at home.

"She'll be fine. My mother is with her," Naruto reassured himself. However, the thought of leaving her behind made him feel uneasy.

As he walked across the courtyard, the faint hum of a car engine caught his attention. A sleek, shiny purple car pulled into the lot, and the driver's door swung open. Out stepped Ino Yamanaka, her blonde hair shimmering in the sunlight, tied back in a high ponytail. She wore a tight, lavender crop top and white jeans that hugged her curves perfectly. Her purple heels clicked against the pavement as she strode confidently toward the campus building.

Her sharp blue eyes scanned the crowd until they landed on Naruto. She froze for a moment, then grinned slyly when she noticed something—or rather, *someone*—missing.

*Saruyo isn't here? Did they… break up?* Ino's heart skipped a beat, her mind racing with possibilities.

Naruto, completely unaware of her presence, continued walking, his gaze fixed ahead. Ino's lips curled into a determined smirk as she quickly picked up her pace, running after him.

"Wait! Naruto!" she called out, her voice carrying through the bustling courtyard.

Naruto stopped in his tracks and turned around, his face lighting up with mild recognition. "Ino-san?"

She jogged up to him, slightly out of breath. Without hesitation, she grabbed his hand, making Naruto's face flush red.

"W-Whoa, Ino-san!" he stammered, his voice trembling with nervousness.

Ino leaned forward, placing her free hand on her knee as she caught her breath. "Do you… remember me?" she asked, her voice teasing.

Naruto nodded quickly. "Y-Yeah. You're the girl I helped carry books for that one time, right?"

Ino straightened up, crossing her arms with a playful smirk. "And?"

Naruto blinked, confused. "And… I helped you close the zipper on your dress that got stuck?"

"Exactly!" Ino exclaimed, clapping her hands together. "You *do* remember! I was starting to think you'd forgotten me."

Naruto rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Of course, I remember. But, uh… why are you bringing that up now?"

Ino tilted her head, her grin widening. "Well, I couldn't help but notice…" She leaned in slightly, lowering her voice. "You're not with Saruyo today. Where is she?"

Naruto's face softened. "She's at home resting. She wasn't feeling well."

A glimmer of excitement flashed in Ino's eyes as she processed his words. *She's not here. Perfect.* She quickly hid her satisfaction behind a sweet smile.

"Oh no, poor Saruyo! I hope she feels better soon," Ino said, her tone dripping with faux concern.

Naruto nodded, his gaze dropping to the ground. "Yeah, me too."

Ino, meanwhile, was already forming a plan in her head. *This is my chance. Today, Naruto is mine.*

"Since Saruyo isn't here," Ino began, her voice cheerful, "why don't we stick together? You know, for today?"

Naruto blinked, caught off guard. "W-What? I don't—"

"Great! It's settled!" Ino interrupted, grabbing his hand again. Before Naruto could protest, she began leading him toward the lecture hall.

As they walked, Ino made sure to press close to him, letting his arm brush against her chest "accidentally" more than once. Naruto's face grew redder with each step, his thoughts spiraling.

"Ino-san, are you okay? You keep…" Naruto began, his voice trailing off.

"Oh, don't mind me!" Ino said with a giggle. "It's just crowded, that's all."

Meanwhile, across the courtyard, Shikamaru, Kiba, and Neji stood under the shade of a tree, watching the scene unfold.

"Is that… Naruto?" Shikamaru asked, squinting.

"Yep," Kiba said with a grin, his arms crossed. "Our little shy Naruto, walking around with Ino of all people."

Neji raised an eyebrow. "Isn't she the one who's always chasing after guys?"

"Yeah, but look at him," Kiba said, gesturing dramatically. "He's practically a magnet now. First Saruyo, and now Ino? I'm telling you, the guy's building himself a harem."

Shikamaru sighed, scratching his head. "What a drag. He used to be so quiet. Now he's getting all this attention."

"Of course he is!" Kiba said proudly, puffing out his chest. "I was the one who encouraged him to go after Saruyo in the first place. It's all thanks to me."

"Right," Shikamaru replied dryly. "Because this is exactly what you planned."

Neji smirked. "It's impressive, though. Not everyone can win over Saruyo, let alone attract someone like Ino afterward."

Kiba wiped an imaginary tear from his eye. "My boy Naruto's growing up. I'm so proud."

Shikamaru rolled his eyes. "You're acting like you're his sensei or something."

"Hey, I kind of am!" Kiba shot back.

Neji's expression turned thoughtful. "Isn't Ino Yamanaka the one clinging to him right now?"

Shikamaru nodded. "Yep, that's her."

Kiba's grin widened. "Man, imagine if one day he shows up with both Saruyo and Ino hanging off his arms. That guy's living the dream."

"Or the nightmare," Shikamaru muttered.

"Either way," Neji added with a small chuckle, "Naruto's come a long way. Who knows? Maybe next time, he'll have three or four girls with him."

"Maybe," Shikamaru said, shaking his head. "But for now, let's just hope he survives today."

The three of them watched as Ino practically dragged Naruto into the lecture hall, her intentions clear to anyone who cared to look.

Naruto stepped into the lecture hall, trying to steady his nerves after being unexpectedly dragged there by Ino. Her hand was warm around his, and her grip firm, as if she had no intention of letting him go. As they entered the room, she pulled him closer, pressing his hand between her chest.

Naruto's cheeks flushed a deep red. "I-Ino-san…!" he stammered, his voice barely above a whisper.

Ino glanced at him out of the corner of her eye, a sly smile playing on her lips. "What's wrong, Naruto? You look so tense."

He struggled to find words, his thoughts scrambled as the soft warmth of her chest pressed against his hand. His heart pounded in his chest, and he silently cursed himself for being so easily flustered.

She led him up the stairs of the lecture hall, ignoring the curious glances from other students. When they reached an empty row near the middle, she let go of his hand and gestured for him to sit. Naruto hesitated for a moment before lowering himself into the seat.

Ino wasted no time, sliding into the seat next to him. She leaned in close, her body brushing against his. Naruto felt his face heat up even more as her thigh pressed against his and her arm brushed his shoulder.

She's sitting so close… This is just like how Saruyo sits next to me! he thought, his eyes darting anywhere but at her.

Ino, on the other hand, was completely at ease. She rested her elbow on the desk and propped her chin on her hand, gazing at him with a playful glint in her eyes. Inside, however, her emotions were in turmoil.

This feeling… she thought, glancing at him. It's so different from anything I've felt before. Being this close to him, hearing his shy, nervous voice… I like it. No, I love it.

She allowed herself a small, satisfied smile. "So, Naruto," she began, her voice soft and teasing. "What do you think of me?"

Naruto froze, his brain struggling to process the sudden question. "W-What?"

"You heard me," she said, leaning in a little closer. "What do you think of me?"

His throat went dry, and he fumbled for an answer. "Uh… You're… You're pretty," he finally managed, his voice barely audible.

Ino chuckled, clearly amused by his shyness. "Pretty, huh? I'll take that as a compliment." She leaned back slightly, brushing her hair over her shoulder. "You know, you're not so bad yourself. You've got this… soft, almost feminine charm to you. It's kind of cute."

Naruto's eyes widened, and his face turned an even deeper shade of red. "F-Feminine?"

Ino laughed, the sound light and teasing. "Relax, Naruto. I meant it as a good thing."

Before he could respond, she reached out and took his hand again, holding it gently. She placed it between her hands, her fingers lightly tracing over his. Then, in one smooth motion, she brought it to rest against her chest, pressing it between her ample curves.

Naruto's entire body stiffened, his face burning with embarrassment. "I-Ino-san!"

Ino tilted her head, a playful smirk on her lips. "What? You don't like it?"

"I-It's not that!" Naruto stammered, his voice cracking. "It's just… This is so… inappropriate!"

Ino giggled, clearly enjoying his reaction. "You're so innocent, Naruto. It's adorable."

Meanwhile, across the lecture hall, Sai sat in his seat, watching the scene unfold with a blank expression. His sharp eyes took in every detail, from the way Ino leaned into Naruto to the flustered look on Naruto's face.

So, this is what Ino Yamanaka is up to now, Sai thought, his mind working. She's getting close to Naruto. I remember Sakura mentioning something about this…

His gaze narrowed slightly. And where is Saruyo? She's usually glued to him.

Back at home, Saruyo sat on the couch in the Uzumaki household, her arms crossed and her expression as cold and unreadable as ever. Kushina bustled around the kitchen, humming to herself as she prepared tea.

Saruyo stared at the coffee table, her mind racing. I can feel it… That girl. She's taking advantage of my absence.

Her hands curled into fists, her nails digging into her palms. Memories of seeing Itachi on the road the previous day flashed through her mind, making her chest tighten. Her brother—the man who had destroyed their family, the one she swore to stop—had resurfaced.

And now Naruto… What if he's in danger? she thought, her heart pounding.

"Saruyo?" Kushina's voice broke through her thoughts, and she looked up, her icy expression softening slightly.

"Yes?"

"You've been quiet all morning," Kushina said, placing a cup of tea in front of her. "What's on your mind?"

Saruyo hesitated for a moment before shaking her head. "It's nothing."For a moment, the two women sat in silence, each lost in their thoughts.

As Saruyu sat at the kitchen table, her long black hair falling over her shoulders as she sipped her coffee. The air was filled with a bitter scent, and she allowed herself a small smile of satisfaction.

"This coffee is delicious," Saruyo said, her icy tone softening just slightly as she glanced up at Kushina, who was bustling around the kitchen.

Kushina smiled warmly. "I'm glad you like it, Saruyo. It's one of my favorite blends."

For a moment, the two women sat in silence, the quiet hum of the kitchen creating a rare sense of peace. Then, Kushina broke the silence with a cheerful tone.

"You know, Saruyo," she began, leaning against the counter, "Naruto's birthday is just a few days away."

Saruyo nodded, her expression calm but her mind already considering what she could do for him. "I know."

Kushina's smile grew wider. "I've been preparing a surprise for him. Something I think he'll absolutely love."

Saruyo tilted her head slightly, her cold, piercing eyes narrowing in curiosity. "What kind of surprise?"

Kushina hesitated, a playful glint in her eyes. She couldn't bring herself to reveal her plan—bringing Ino Yamanaka into Naruto's life as a second romantic partner. It was something she believed would ultimately make him happy, but she knew how fiercely possessive Saruyo could be.

"It's a surprise," Kushina said with a laugh. "If I tell you, it wouldn't be a surprise anymore, now would it?"

Saruyo considered this for a moment before nodding. "You're right. I suppose I'll find out when the time comes." She set her coffee cup down and added, "I'm planning to get him a gift as well."

Kushina's gaze flicked to the bracelet on Saruyo's wrist—the one Naruto had given her for her birthday. A soft smile spread across her face as she remembered how much care and thought her son had put into choosing it.

"That bracelet… Naruto picked it out for you, didn't he?" Kushina asked gently.

Saruyu glanced at the bracelet, her fingers tracing its delicate design. "Yes. He gave it to me yesterday." Her voice became quieter, even more tender. "No one has ever done something like this for me before."

Kushina's smile widened. "That's Naruto for you. He's got a big heart, and he cares deeply about the people he loves."

Saruyo nodded, her usual icy demeanor softening ever so slightly. "I know."

Meanwhile, at the university, Naruto was gathering his belongings as the day's lectures came to an end. He slung his bag over his shoulder, preparing to head home, when Ino suddenly appeared beside him, her bright smile lighting up the room.

"Hey, Naruto!" she called, grabbing his attention.

Naruto turned to her, his face immediately turning red at her presence. "I-Ino-san… What's up?"

"Where are you headed?" she asked, tilting her head slightly as she clasped her hands behind her back.

"Uh… home," Naruto replied, his voice uncertain.

Ino's eyes sparkled with excitement as she clasped his arm, holding it close to her chest. "What do you say we go out? Just the two of us?"

Naruto's face turned an even deeper shade of red. "What? I-I don't know… I mean, I should probably—"

"Please," Ino interrupted, her tone soft and pleading. She looked up at him with wide, hopeful eyes. "I don't have anyone else to go out with, and… well, I've been feeling kind of lonely lately."

Naruto hesitated, his heart aching at the vulnerability in her voice. He let out a small sigh and nodded. "Alright. I guess it wouldn't hurt…"

Before he could finish his sentence, Ino let out a delighted cheer and grabbed his hand. "Yes! Thank you, Naruto! You're the best!"

Naruto could only stand there, stunned, as Ino practically dragged him out of the lecture hall. Her excitement was infectious, and despite his initial hesitation, he found himself smiling.

Ino led Naruto to her car, an eye-catching purple convertible parked near the entrance of the campus. She leaned against it, her arms crossed as she waited for him to catch up.

"We're going to have so much fun," she said with a wink. "There are so many places I want to take you."

Naruto scratched the back of his head, his nerves still getting the better of him. "I-I don't know, Ino-san… Are you sure this is a good idea?"

"Of course it is!" Ino said, her voice full of confidence. She reached out and grabbed his hand, her fingers lacing through his. "Come on, Naruto. Let's just enjoy ourselves."

As Naruto looked down at their intertwined hands, he felt his heart race. *This is… so different from being with Saruyo…* he thought, guilt creeping into his mind.

From a distance, Shikamaru, Kiba, and Neji watched the scene unfold, their expressions a mix of curiosity and concern.

"What's Ino Yamanaka up to now?" Shikamaru muttered, his sharp eyes narrowing.

Kiba crossed his arms, his voice tinged with suspicion. "From what I know about her, she used to jump between guys a lot… but she stopped doing that a little over a month ago."

Neji nodded thoughtfully. "Still, we can't let her mess with Naruto. He's too trusting."

Kiba clenched his fists. "Exactly. He's like my little brother. We have to look out for him."

Shikamaru sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Alright, let's keep an eye on her. But don't do anything rash. We'll just see how this plays out for now."

As they watched, Naruto excused himself to buy a drink from a nearby vending machine, leaving Ino waiting by her car. She leaned against the door, a triumphant smile on her lips as she twirled a strand of her blonde hair around her finger.

*Finally,* she thought. *Naruto's all mine today.*

Ino stood beside her purple convertible, her long blonde hair glinting under the glow of the streetlights. As Naruto fiddled with the vending machine across the road, she leaned back, feeling a prickle at the base of her neck.

Someone was watching her.

Her cerulean eyes scanned her surroundings, her sharp instincts kicking in. She reached up, brushing her fingers through her silky locks in a motion that appeared nonchalant, but her icy glare betrayed her growing irritation.

*Enough.*

She pushed off the car and began walking purposefully down a quieter side street, her heels clicking against the pavement. The tension in her posture was clear. When she reached a secluded spot under the dim glow of another streetlamp, she stopped and crossed her arms, her glare slicing through the night.

"I know you're there," she said, her voice cold and commanding. "Come out. Now."

From the shadows emerged Shikamaru, Kiba, and Neji, each with varying expressions of guilt and determination. Ino's glare intensified as she locked eyes with them.

"What do you three want?" she demanded, her tone sharp and cutting.

Shikamaru sighed, scratching the back of his head. "We need to talk, Ino."

Kiba stepped forward, his arms crossed. "Yeah, we want to know what your intentions are with Naruto."

Ino's lips curled into a smirk, though her eyes held a dangerous glint. "And why, exactly, is that any of your business?"

"Because Naruto's our friend," Kiba said firmly. "We care about him, and we want what's best for him. That's why I set him up with Saruyo in the first place. And honestly, Ino, you don't exactly have the best track record."

Neji's sharp voice cut in. "That's right. You're known for your… colorful history with men. How do we know you're not just using Naruto for fun? Or worse, helping someone else hurt him?"

Ino's body stiffened at his words. Though she maintained her outward composure, the sting of their accusations pierced her deeply. Still, she refused to show it.

Instead, she lifted her chin and said coldly, "Think whatever you want. It doesn't matter to me. The only thing that matters is that I love Naruto. And no matter what you say or do, I will be with him."

Her declaration was met with silence, broken only by Neji's scoff. He crossed his arms, his expression hard. "Love? You? Don't make me laugh. You can't even stay loyal to one guy. You expect us to believe you're serious about Naruto?"

Ino's eyes darkened, and for the first time, her composure cracked. "You don't know anything about me!" she snapped.

Neji's smirk grew cruel. "I know enough. You're just playing the same old game, chasing after the next shiny thing. Admit it, Ino. You're not capable of real love. You're nothing but—"

"That's enough, Neji," Shikamaru interrupted, his voice quiet but firm.

Neji ignored him, his anger boiling over. "You're nothing but a—"

"Say it," Ino interrupted, her voice low and dangerous. She stepped closer, her icy glare locking onto Neji's. "Go ahead and say it. Call me whatever you want."

"A slut," Neji spat, his voice dripping with venom. "That's all you are. No matter what you do, no matter who you're with, you'll always be a slut."

Ino's hand shot out before anyone could react, her open palm connecting with Neji's face in a sharp slap. The sound echoed down the empty street, and for a moment, everything was still.

"You bastard," she hissed, her voice trembling with fury. "You don't know anything about me or my life. Yes, I've made mistakes. But who are you to judge me? Everyone has flaws, Neji. Even you."

Neji's hands clenched into fists, his anger flaring. He took a step forward, but Shikamaru and Kiba quickly grabbed his arms, pulling him away from them.

"Neji, calm down!" Shikamaru said, his tone sharp.

Kiba added, "She's not worth it, man. Let it go."

Ino laughed bitterly, crossing her arms. "Go ahead, Neji. Hit me. Show everyone how the mighty Hyuga handles a woman standing up to him."

Neji gritted his teeth, his chest rising and falling with each heavy breath. He turned his head away, refusing to meet her gaze.

Ino's voice softened slightly, though her tone remained cold. "You think you're better than me? Fine. Think whatever you want. But I don't need your approval. None of you have the right to stand in my way. I love Naruto, and I'll fight for him, no matter what."

With that, she turned on her heel and walked away, her shoulders stiff but her head held high.

As she disappeared into the night, Shikamaru let out a heavy sigh, rubbing his temples. "That got out of hand."

Kiba nodded, his usual playful demeanor replaced with guilt. "Yeah… We shouldn't have gone that far."

Even Neji seemed regretful, his hands falling to his sides. "I don't know what came over me," he muttered.

Shikamaru looked in the direction Ino had gone, his sharp eyes filled with contemplation. "No matter what we think about her past, I saw something real in her eyes tonight. She really does care about Naruto."

Kiba let out a low whistle. "Man, Naruto's got quite the complicated love life, huh? First Saruyo, now Ino… What's next?"

Shikamaru shook his head, a small smirk playing on his lips. "Troublesome. That's all I have to say."

With that, the three friends walked away, their earlier anger replaced by a quiet understanding.

Ino stood by her car, her trembling hands gripping a small tissue as she dabbed at her tear-streaked face. The cool night air did little to calm the storm raging inside her. Her sobs had quieted, but the ache in her chest remained.

"Why did I do this?" she whispered to herself, her voice breaking. "Why did I let my past catch up to me? Why can't I just let it go?"

She clenched the tissue tightly, frustration and self-loathing swirling within her. She didn't want Naruto to see her like this—weak and vulnerable. When she heard the sound of footsteps approaching, she quickly wiped her face and forced a smile, though her heart still felt heavy.

Naruto jogged up to her, holding two cans of juice. His bright smile faltered slightly when he got closer, his perceptive blue eyes noticing the faint redness around her eyes and the shaky edge to her voice.

"I got us both drinks," he said cheerfully, though his tone softened with concern.

"Great, Naruto!" Ino replied, trying to sound as upbeat as possible. But Naruto wasn't fooled. He noticed how her voice wavered, and how she avoided looking directly at him.

His cheerful demeanor gave way to a soft sigh as he placed the cans on the roof of the car.

"Ino-san," he said gently, his voice unusually serious. "Is something wrong? Were you… crying?"

Her heart skipped a beat at his question, and she quickly shook her head, forcing a shaky smile. "What? Crying? Me? Of course not, Naruto. I'm fine. Really."

But Naruto didn't buy it. He took a step closer, his shy nature battling with the lessons his mother, Kushina, had taught him. "Naruto, sometimes a hug is all someone needs to feel better," he remembered her saying.

Gathering his courage, Naruto reached out hesitantly. "It's okay, Ino-san. You don't have to hide it. I'm here for you."

Before she could respond, he wrapped his arms around her in a gentle but firm embrace.

Ino froze, completely caught off guard. The warmth of his embrace and the sincerity in his voice broke down the walls she had desperately been holding up. She clutched his jacket tightly and began sobbing uncontrollably, her cries muffled against his chest.

Naruto blushed furiously, not just from the intimacy of the moment but also because he couldn't help but notice her body pressed against him. Her soft, warm figure was overwhelming for someone as shy as him. But despite his embarrassment, he tightened his hold on her.

"It's okay, Ino-san," he said softly, his voice laced with genuine care. "You can cry as much as you want. I'll be here for you, no matter what."

For Ino, this was a first. No one had ever allowed her to cry like this. No one had ever offered her such unselfish comfort. As she clung to him, letting out years of pent-up emotions, she realized something.

This… This is what it feels like to be truly cared for.

Ino pulled back slightly, her tear-streaked face gazing up at Naruto. Her heart swelled with an unfamiliar but beautiful feeling. "Why… Why couldn't you have been my first love?" she whispered, more to herself than to him.

Naruto's blush deepened, but he met her gaze, his blue eyes full of sincerity. "I don't know about that, Ino-san. But… from now on, I'll always be here for you. I'll protect you, no matter what. Even if I'm shy or nervous, I'll try my best."

Ino's heart melted at his words. She smiled through her tears, a genuine smile that lit up her face despite the sadness lingering in her eyes. "You mean it, Naruto?"

Naruto nodded, his face red as a tomato. "Yeah… I mean it. Always."

Without thinking, Ino leaned in and kissed him, her lips pressing firmly against his. It wasn't a simple, fleeting kiss—it was a kiss filled with gratitude, hope, and a spark of something deeper.

Naruto's eyes widened in shock, his entire body stiffening as his first kiss unfolded. But as the moment stretched, he felt himself relax, his hands gently resting on her waist.

When they finally broke apart, Ino looked at him with a mix of shyness and determination. "Thank you, Naruto-kun. From now on, I'll always call you that."

Naruto's face burned brighter, his mind scrambling to process everything that had just happened. "N-Naruto-kun?" he stammered.

Ino giggled, wiping the last of her tears away. "Yes. From now on, you're my Naruto-kun. And I won't let anyone or anything come between us."

She hugged him tightly again, resting her head against his chest. For the first time in a long time, she felt safe.

Across the street, Shikamaru, Kiba, and Neji watched from the shadows.

"Well, that was… intense," Shikamaru muttered, scratching the back of his head.

Kiba sniffed, wiping a tear from his eye. "Man, that was so touching. I can't believe it… Ino really does love him."

Neji remained silent, guilt weighing heavily on him as he replayed the cruel words he had said to Ino earlier. He sighed deeply, his usually stoic expression softening. "I went too far. I should apologize to her."

Shikamaru nodded thoughtfully. "Yeah, you should. But for now… it looks like Naruto's in good hands. Between Saruyo and Ino, he's got two people who really care about him."

Kiba glanced at him, his eyebrows raising. "You think Saruyo's going to be okay with this? Ino kissing Naruto, I mean?"

Neji grimaced. "She might kill her."

Kiba chuckled nervously. "Y-Yeah, I can see that happening."

Shikamaru sighed, his tone laced with exasperation. "Troublesome. Guess we'll find out soon enough."

After an eventful day together, Ino parked her car in front of Naruto's home. The streetlights bathed the quiet neighborhood in a soft glow, and Naruto sat beside her in the passenger seat, holding a fluffy bag of cotton candy in his hands. His cheeks were already red from embarrassment, and Ino couldn't help but smile at how adorably shy he looked.

"I hope you enjoyed today, Naruto-kun," she said, her voice playful yet warm.

Naruto nodded quickly, clutching the cotton candy tightly as if it were the most precious gift he had ever received. "Y-Yeah, Ino-san. It was fun… really fun. Thank you."

Ino leaned over suddenly, catching him off guard. She kissed his left cheek, then his right, leaving a lingering warmth on his skin.

"Take care of yourself, okay?" she said softly, pulling back with a radiant smile.

Naruto's face turned crimson, and he could barely form words. "I-I w-will, Ino-san!" he stammered, his heart racing.

Ino chuckled at his reaction, waving as she drove off into the night. Her smile faded slightly once she was alone in her car, and her hand instinctively rested on her chest. Her heart was fluttering in a way it never had before.

"Is this… what real love feels like?" she whispered to herself, her cheeks warming. "Soon, Naruto-kun… soon, I'll be your perfect gift."

Meanwhile, Naruto entered his house, his face still red from the affectionate goodbye. He kicked off his shoes and stepped into the cozy living room, where his mother, Kushina, was sitting with a book.

"Welcome home, Naruto," she greeted him cheerfully, her eyes briefly flicking to the bag of cotton candy in his hands.

"Thanks, Mom," he mumbled, trying to keep his voice steady.

Before he could take another step, Saruyo appeared from the kitchen. Her sharp, icy gaze immediately landed on the pink bag in his hands.

"What's that?" she asked, her tone cool yet curious.

Naruto froze, feeling the weight of her question. "Uh… it's, um, cotton candy…"

Saruyo's eyes narrowed slightly, though a faint, calculated smile tugged at her lips. "And who got it for you?"

Naruto gulped, feeling the tension in the air. "I-Ino-san bought it for me…"

Saruyo's smile didn't waver, but her eyes flashed with something dangerous. "Ino-san, huh?" she repeated, her voice light and almost sweet—too sweet.

Kushina, sitting quietly on the couch, observed the interaction with delight, silently cheering for the drama unfolding before her.

"Is… is that okay?" Naruto asked hesitantly, unsure of why Saruyo seemed so interested.

Saruyo stepped closer, her icy demeanor softening as she placed a hand on his cheek and leaned in, her lips curling into a mischievous smile. "Of course, it's okay. No problem at all, Naruto."

Before he could respond, she kissed him deeply, leaving him stunned and blushing. When she pulled back, her smile had turned sly. "Tonight will be special, Naruto. You'll see."

Naruto's confusion deepened, but he nodded shyly. "O-Okay…"

Kushina, pretending to read her book, grinned mischievously to herself. *"If only Saruyo knew that Ino and I have been planning Naruto's birthday surprise together. This is going to be fun!"*

After dinner, Saruyo stood up and turned to Kushina. "Thank you for the meal, Kushina-san. Naruto and I will head to bed now."

Kushina waved them off with a knowing smile. "Go ahead, dear. He's all yours tonight."

Naruto's face burned with embarrassment as he followed Saruyo to his room. Once inside, Saruyo locked the door behind them, her cold smile making him both nervous and curious.

"Alright, Naruto," she said, her voice taking on a playful edge. "Get under the blanket. No peeking."

Naruto blinked. "W-What? Why?"

Saruyo raised an eyebrow. "Just do it. Unless you want to watch me change."

His face turned beet red, and he scrambled under the blanket, his heart pounding. "O-Okay! I'm not looking!"

"Good," Saruyo said, her tone dripping with amusement.

A few moments passed, and then her voice came again. "You can look now."

Naruto hesitantly pulled the blanket down, his eyes widening in shock. Saruyo stood before him in an outfit that was both bold and commanding, exuding confidence and dominance. In her hand, she held a small whip, her expression both teasing and mischievous.

Naruto's jaw dropped, and his face turned an even deeper shade of red. "W-What is this?!"

Saruyo smirked, stepping closer. "It's the start of our special night, Naruto."

He squeaked in response, burying his face in his hands. "M-Mom! Help me!"

From the living room, Kushina couldn't contain her laughter, hearing his panicked cries.

Saruyo, however, remained unfazed, her icy smile softening slightly. She leaned down and whispered, "No one's going to save you from me tonight, Naruto."

Elsewhere, Ino drove through the quiet streets, her heart still racing from the day's events. She couldn't stop smiling, even as tears of happiness threatened to spill from her eyes.

"This feeling… it's so real," she whispered, her fingers gripping the steering wheel. "Naruto-kun… you're everything I've been searching for."

She glanced at the small gift bag in the passenger seat. *Soon… soon, I'll be your most beautiful present.*

Back in Naruto's room, the night eventually settled down. Saruyo lay in bed with Naruto, her usual icy demeanor softened as she held him close.

Naruto, flustered but exhausted, rested his head on her chest, unable to escape her embrace.

Saruyo smirked, her whip still in her hand. "We didn't do anything serious tonight, Naruto. I'm still… pure. But I'm making sure you're ready for when the time comes. You'll learn that I'm never satisfied."

Naruto's face turned red again, and he stammered, "T-This is too much…"

Saruyo kissed his forehead, her tone soft yet possessive. "You'll get used to it, Naruto. You're mine."

As she drifted off to sleep, her thoughts turned to Ino, a flicker of annoyance crossing her face. *You'll see soon enough, Ino. No one takes Naruto from me.*

Naruto, still wide awake, stared at the ceiling, wondering how his life had turned into this.
