Chapter 13: Tiffany's discovery
As the hour rolled, Avesta was already at Bruce's penthouse and he showed her the file Waller tends to use Superman's DNA to build weapons and Avesta was just speechless…
"I can't believe she'd do this. All the years I worked for her I didn't think she did this. Or even keep this from me." Avesta said.
"She probably knew you wouldn't approve this. Or even help her build it. You wouldn't you?" Bruce asked.
"No. I'm not into making weapons that are powerful enough to compromise innocent people. I joined the Agency because…I wanted to make a difference. Like you." Avesta said.
Bruce looked at her puzzled.
"You'll think this is silly but…you're why I wanted to make a difference. I looked up to you in college. Hell when people thought you killed Harvey Dent I knew that wasn't true. No one believed me but I knew there was more to it than that." Avesta explained.
"I didn't know you knew who I was." Bruce said.
Avesta raised her eyes in surprise…
"Oh…I…guess I spoke too much. Waller told me cause…she used to tell me everything." Avesta said.
"How did she find out who I am?" Bruce asked.
"She was tracking Selina Kyle through her cover slates. She came across you and inspected your records of applied sciences. She had time to learn that they created Batman's weapons." Avesta said.
Bruce slightly chuckles realizing he'll need to get the government off his back.
"I thought Waller was one of the good ones. But after what you showed me…I don't know if I'm on the right side anymore." Avesta said.
"You should trust your instincts Iman. If you feel the Agency is wrong then quit." Bruce said.
"And then what?" Avesta asked.
"Well… I could use a new assistant at Wayne Enterprises." Bruce said.
Iman widened her eyes with Bruce growing a grin and then grew one herself.
"You mean that?" Avesta asked.
"I don't see why not. You seem trustworthy to me. Despite you and your partner brought up Rachel at Lucius's funeral." Bruce said.
"Really sorry about that." Avesta said.
Bruce nods and when Avesta walks close to him she lifts her hand to his face which Bruce just stares oddly at her and slowly kisses him…
Bruce and Avesta pulled back for a moment staring then…
…kissed passionately.
Meanwhile at the Fox residence Tiffany was up late trying to crack Luthor's data…
It took minutes but her tech skills were legit and decrypted them in minutes.
Being the daughter of Lucius Fox really pays off.
She found everything she was looking for on the Kryptonite but she discovered something curious.
She stumbled upon videos of…strange individuals…
Tiffany opened the W file first discovering a mysterious woman who helped in World War II.
Tiffany even saw the other three videos of a man who can run at the speed of light.
A second that an accident turned him into a half man half machine.
And another…living under the sea.
Tiffany was shocked to discover there were more people out there like Superman…
The only question was…do these people pose as friends or foes?
That was yet to be answered later as we get…the knightmare scene where Batman stands out to a destroyed Gotham…
Everything in it plays the same as it did in the movie. Bruce is betrayed and ambushed by Superman's men and Perademons.
For Bruce to end up in a prison like Bane did to him.
Bruce looks up in horror.
With Superman approaching him with a grudge…
Superman still quotes what he said in the movie.
"She was my world. And you took her from me." Superman said.
"No…" Bruce said.
Superman placed his hand on Bruce's chest and then…crushed it making Bruce wake up in his room.
With Avesta asleep behind him.
Bruce then received a text from his cell he opened it and the text from Blake, Tiffany wasn't at home when he got there.
After discovering the other powerful people, where could she have gone?
Bruce feared the worse on her whereabouts after Luthor's event; she was following the same path he felt about Joe Chill…
