Chapter 12: Cooler's Revenge Part 2

By a river, Gohan and Krillin rose from the water with Bardock. Bardock shook in pain and Gohan and Krillin was helping him.

Krillin: That was a close one.

Gohan: Grandpa are you okay?

Bardock: Unfortunately, no. My... back.

Bardock collapsed with Gohan and Krillin shocked. Bardock's back was slightly charred from Cooler's Destructive Ray.

Krillin: Oh no, hurry Gohan! We have to get him out of here.

Oolong finally revealed himself transforming from a fish.

Oolong: Look there's a cave!

Gohan: Let's hurry!

Gohan and Krillin pick up Bardock and run towards the cave with Oolong following behind them. As they enter the cave, Gohan and Krillin lay Bardock down gently.

Gohan: Alright, we should be safe here for now.

Krillin: Something tells me those guys will be a problem. We need to be careful otherwise-

Krillin was interrupted as explosions went off.

Gohan and Krillin ran to the entrance of the cave to see Ki Blasts hitting the forest. They looked up and saw that the attackers were Cooler's Armored Squadron.

Krillin: Oh no, look out!

Krillin and Gohan ran back in the cave as the Ki Blasts hitting the cave, destroying the entrance and trapping everyone inside.

with Gine

Gine was on her way to the campsite carrying a large container carrying food. She immediately stopped as she felt the a shiver go down her spine.

Gine: What is this Ki I'm sensing?

Gine stopped as she felt the tremendous evil Ki of Cooler. She learned how to sense Ki on Yardrat with Bardock and can sense just how powerful some individuals were.

Gine: It's about as evil as Frieza. In addition, I can't sense Gohan or his friend Krillin. Oh no, please be okay everyone.

As she began to run forward, she felt explosions take place.

Gine: What is going on?

Gine looked up and saw the Armored Squadron and was shocked to see them.

Gine: If they are here, then Cooler is here as well.

Gine had to do something. She wouldn't just do nothing when her husband and grandson are in trouble. Luckily for Gine, she sensed someone call to her and teleported away.

Gine had arrived and stood in front of Piccolo. She smiled as she spoke to him.

Gine: Piccolo, thank goodness. Thanks to you I was able to get out of there.

Piccolo smiled a bit.

Piccolo: I couldn't let you get hurt. So tell me, do you know what's going on?

Gine's looked transformed from joyful to fearful.

Gine: Unfortunately I do. From what I was able to see, it looks like Cooler has come to Earth.

Piccolo: Who is Cooler?

Gine: He's Frieza's older brother. And from the looks of things, it seems that Cooler is far stronger than Frieza.

Piccolo was visibly shaken by the news. Frieza had an older brother and he was far stronger than Frieza was.

Piccolo: This was a bad time for Goku to leave Earth.

Gine: So what are we going to do? There's no way that I can teleport to the others without alerting Cooler's forces.

Piccolo: I have an idea.

with Cooler's Squadron

The three looked at the now destroyed forest as they spoke to each other.

Dore: Uh... think we over did it?

Sauzer: Don't think so. Although, we may have a hard time finding their bodies... because they are probably in a million pieces. Hahaha!

The three began to laugh.

Neiz: We put them through the shredder! Hahaha! No one could've survived that!

Cooler: Oh really?

The three turned to see Cooler descend.

Dore: Lord Cooler.

Cooler: Weak minds are easily deceived. He is alive and I want to comb every single inch of this place until you find him.

Armored Squadron: Yes sir!

Cooler: They can't hide forever, they'll come out sooner or later. I'm don't like these these games anymore than you do. I'd rather just blow up this worthless planet! But I'd rather see him die with my own eyes, and I will.

The Cave

Rocks began to fall as Krillin and Gohan made a new entrance for the cave. Despite being wounded, Bardock was still conscious.

Bardock: Finally, some fresh air.

Krillin: It looks like they aren't nearby.

Gohan: Great so what's our plan for now?

Piccolo: Gohan, Krillin, Bardock, can you hear me?

Gohan and Krillin heard the message in their heads and knew who it was. Gohan immediately smiled before answering.

Gohan: We hear you loud and clear Mr. Piccolo.

Krillin: I take it you know what's going on.

Piccolo: I do. Gine is with me and told me everything. This Cooler is just as evil as Frieza is and we need to stop him now that Goku isn't on Earth.

Krillin: Well, right now we help. Bardock is injured and we need to get to some Senzu Beans.

Bardock: Senzu Beans?

Gohan: They're mystical beans that can heal your wounds.

Bardock was shocked to hear that. At that moment, he remembered when Goku spoke about them when they were still on Yardrat.

Gine: I can teleport over to you guys and help heal Bardock but we'll need to distract Cooler's discount Ginyu Force.

Krillin: Wait you can heal wounds?

Gine: It's Spirit Control. Learned it on Yardrat.

Bardock: Good idea but you can't heal me to full health just yet.

Gine: I know but I am getting close.

Piccolo: Just in case, it's better if we have the Senzu Beans and your healing power. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Gohan: I'll go get the Senzu Beans.

Krillin: In that case, I'll provide a distraction so they won't get to you. And once Bardock is back at full strength we can beat these bozos.

Piccolo: Let's get going then. Be careful you two.

Krillin & Gohan: Right!

Hours Later

Dore, Neiz, and Sauzer were still searching for the heroes.

Dore: This is annoying. I say we just waste this entire planet to draw them out.

Neiz: I agree. It'd be easier to do that.

Sauzer: Don't be stupid. Cooler wants them to die by his eyes. After all, they can't be that much of a threat.

?: Are you sure about that?!

The three looked to see Krillin.

Sauzer: So one of you finally decided to be brave.

Krillin: Just so you know, I was there when Frieza attacked Namek. And I had the pleasure of fighting against him and surviving. Most importantly, I'm far stronger than I used to be since Namek.

Krillin refused to mention how he died by Frieza's power. After all, they didn't need to know that.

Krillin: Understand, you should never underestimate that fighters of Earth. Let me show you why.

Krillin charged at the three. Sauzer jumped in front of the others and began fighting Krillin.

Sauzer: I'll handle this one. Watch and learn.

The two began trading punches and kicks with Krillin going on the defensive and countering and parrying Sauzer's attacks.

Sauzer: You're not bad for an Earthling. Too bad you be dying today.

Krillin: That's not happening Dirtbag!

From far away Gohan could sense the battle begin and readied himself.

Gohan: I'm ready, Grandma.

Gine immediately teleported to Gohan and grabbed his hand before teleporting him away.

Krillin continued his fight with Sauzer and began to fight harder than before. However, Sauzer was still stronger than him and managed to punch him away.

As Krillin fell backwards, Sauzer motioned to the others.

Sauzer: Beat him down.

Neiz charged forward and kicked Krillin upwards while Dore grabbed Krillin into a bearhug and began to squeeze him.

Krillin: GAAAAAAH! AAAAAAAH!

Dore: That's right scream in pain Earthling!

Soon enough, Dore was hit in the back with a blast, causing him to let go of Krillin.

Dore: Who did that?!

?: That would be me.

Piccolo appeared shocking the three aliens.

Sauzer: A Namekian? Out here?

Dore: Why isn't this bug on his own planet where he should be?

Neiz: Frieza blew it up, remember?

Krillin: Hey, Piccolo.

Dore: There's three of us and only one of you, Namekian! You have no chance of winning!

Piccolo seemed unbothered by this as he began to remove his turban.

Piccolo: I doubt that. I have a feeling that you won't live past tomorrow.

Dore: We'll see about that! Haa!

Dore charged forward and tried punching through Piccolo. The only thing Dore punched through was Piccolo's cape. Piccolo appeared above him and elbowed him on top of his head.

As Piccolo began fighting with Neiz, Piccolo called out to Krillin.

Piccolo: Get out of here Krillin! I'll hold them off!

Krillin: Got it!

Krillin took off as Piccolo fought Neiz and Sauzer. Dore saw Krillin leave and decided to pursue.

Dore: Oh no, you're not getting away!

Dore took off after Krillin with Piccolo preoccupied by Sauzer and Neiz.

Piccolo: Krillin!

Piccolo shot a Ki Blast at Neiz, who ducked his head. Neiz popped his head back up.

Neiz: Haha, you missed!

Sauzer: Idiot the attack was aimed at Dore!

As soon as Neiz turned his head around to look to Dore, Piccolo kicked him away. As Dore flew towards Krillin, he noticed the Ki Blast and turned around to stop the attack.

Dore: Oh no you don't!

Dore managed to stop the attack.

Dore: Ha! Nice try Namekian!

Krillin: It really was!

Dore turned around to find Krillin charged an attack and launched it.

Krillin: KAMEHAMEHAAAAA!

Krillin launched a full power Kamehameha at Dore. Dore tried to stop the attack but the attack was too strong.

Dore: Oh no! No, no, no. No, no, no, NOOOOOOO!

In an instant, Dore was destroyed in the explosion. Sauzer and Neiz noticed that explosion and were shocked and furious that their teammate was killed.

After finishing off Dore, Krillin continued flying away.

Neiz: How dare you! You bastards!

Neiz charged an attack and shot it at Piccolo. Piccolo was hit with the attack and began getting electrocuted.

Sauzer: Nice job. I'll go deal with the Earthlings. You make sure the Namekian suffers.

Sauzer took off while Neiz continued to torture Piccolo.

Neiz: Not so tough now are you. Just wait until Cooler gets here then you'll wish you were dead.

Piccolo's face shifted from suffering in pain to a smirk, revealing he was unaffected by the attack. Neiz was shocked to see this.

Neiz: Wait what?

Piccolo grabbed Neiz by the side of his face and transferred the attack to him. Unlike Piccolo, Neiz screamed in pain as his body fried.

Neiz: GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

With Neiz dead, Piccolo dropped him and prepared to go after Sauzer. Unfortunately, for him...

?: Going somewhere, Namekian?

Piccolo turned around only to get shot down through the chest by a Destructive Ray. As Piccolo fell back he looked up in surprise and actual pain as he saw Cooler.

Piccolo: You... look just... like Frieza.

Cooler: We may look similar but we are nothing alike.

Cooler continued to attack Piccolo causing explosions.

The Cave

Sauzer had arrived at the Cave and landed in front of Krillin, Gohan, Oolong, and Gine.

Sauzer: Did you really think you could get away?

Krillin: Who's hiding jerk face? Gohan, get ready!

Gohan: Right!

Sauzer slowly walked towards them with an evil smirk on his face. With his right hand, he charged Ki in the form of a blade with intentions of killing them all.

Before that could happen, someone grabbed him by the shoulder.

?: The hell do you think you're trying to do to my Grandson and his friends?

As Sauzer turned around he was punched in the face and sent flying by a completely healed Bardock. Sauzer slammed through a rock pillar and was crushed by the debris.

Bardock: And that takes care of him.

Gohan smiled as he ran towards Bardock.

Gohan: It's great that you're back to full strength.

Bardock: Same. Plus, I feel stronger now. I guess the theory of Saiyans getting stronger through life-or-death battles was true.

Krillin: Let's hope that it's more than enough.

Gine: Krillin is right. All that is left is Cooler and I doubt he'll be easy to fight against.

?: You'd be right. Your Namekian friend here with definitely agree with you.

Everyone looked up to see Cooler holding a defeated and bloodied Piccolo. The group was shocked to see this while Cooler looked down on them all with a smirk.

Next time... Bardock vs Cooler, the final fight begins. Plus, Kami completes his training.
