T32: Alice And Brooklyn.

Upstairs in the guest bedroom of Cameron, Rocco and Leo, Alice was lying across the middle bed on her back, thinking about Cameron and wondering where he was and if he was okay.

There was then a knock at the door and Alice sat up on the bed.

"Come in." Alice said.

Brooklyn opened the door and entered inside.

"Hey." Alice said.

"Hey." Said Brooklyn before closing the door behind her.

"What did the police say to Monica before they left?" Alice asked.

"Well, one of the officers said they would do all they can to find the boys." Brooklyn said.

"You like spending Thanksgiving with us okay?" Alice asked.

"Yeah. It's great." Brooklyn answered.

"Good." Alice said.

"Are you worried about Cameron being out there with Rocco, Leo and Mickey?" Brooklyn asked as she walked over to the bed Alice was sitting on, followed by sitting down next to her.

"Yeah. I just, um, i wanna show how i feel, i just don't wanna send the family the wrong message." Alice said.

"The wrong message?" Brooklyn questioned.

"Well, with everything that's going on right now, i...The whole situation with Rocco and Leo missing too, what do i...I'm sorry. I really don't know what i'm doing right now." Alice said.

"No. You were just thinking about the family and...what it's going through. What we're all going through. But Cameron's your son. You love him, you should be thinking about him." Brooklyn said.

"But the thing is that i usually always talk things over with Bill, Brook, but...right now in this situation, i don't wanna say anything that might remind Lulu, Olivia and Ned of Rocco and Leo..." Alice noticed Brooklyn's facial expression turn sad after hearing Leo's name. "No, i'm really sorry. I just don't know what to say right now."

"It's okay. I mean...it's just...Lulu, Olivia, my Dad and Bill are all down there grieving because they can't do what you and Bill did with Cameron after the 103 and 104 Dalmatians incident. They can't just pack up and move away some place else. Because they don't live here in Minnesota. And we can't just pretend that we know everything's gonna be okay. Everyone in this family, everyone under this roof...knows that that's not true." Brooklyn said.

"How am i suppose to help them?" Alice asked.

"You're asking the wrong person. I wouldn't know how to deal with it if my child ran away. Lulu, Olivia, my Dad and Bill probably don't either." Brooklyn said.

"Maybe i should go back downstairs and try to comfort Lulu, Ned and Olivia. Just to make sure they are okay." Alice said.

"No, Alice, wait. My Dad said that he and Olivia wanted to deal with this themselves and so did Lulu." Brooklyn said.

"Well, i've said a lot of things in the past and i've meant the exact opposite." Alice said.

"Where are they even gonna go? The boys, i mean." Brooklyn said.

"I don't know, they could be anywhere right now, Brooklyn. That's why-"

"No. I mean...where are they gonna rest when night-time comes?" Brooklyn said, cutting Alice off. "Since they're not living here-"

"Oh, my gosh, i didn't even think about that! I'm an idiot!" Alice gasped.

"No. You're not-"

"I am an idiot." Alice said.

"You're not an idiot. Okay? It's really hard to wrap your head around what the family's going through right now." Brooklyn said.

"But those are the questions i should be thinking about. I should be thinking about where are they gonna rest their heads. They don't have any friends out here in Minnesota, so who are they gonna stay with? Who's gonna shelter them?" Alice said.

"I hate to admit it, but...they need adult help. They need the police." Brooklyn said.

"No, they need their parents. They need us. They need their family...Brooklyn. They do and now they're gone." Alice said before getting up off the bed and walking away from it.

"Alice, listen to me." Brooklyn began as she stood up from the bed. "You and Bill, Lulu, Olivia and my Dad...you're what made the difference for those boys. And that's what's gonna bring them back to us. They know they have good friends back home and a family who cares about them. And you, Bill, Lulu, Olivia and my Dad. They have you. And when they're ready...they'll come back. Cameron, Rocco and Leo are strong. They'll be okay. You know...why don't we just wait up here until we hear from the cops again?"

Alice turned to Brooklyn. "You wouldn't mind?"

"No, of course not." Brooklyn said.

"Thanks." Said Alice before she and Brooklyn hugged each other.

"Alice?" Brooklyn said.

"Yeah?" Alice asked.

"It's gonna be okay." Brooklyn assured.

Alice didn't respond. She just kept hugging Brooklyn.
