T37: Search Parties-Alice And Bill.

That night in the town of Tofte, at the Thanksgiving carnival, with her black purse on her right shoulder, Alice and Bill stood in front of a hot-dog stand, with a man standing behind it. After hours had passed with no word from the authorities, they, Lulu and Dustin and Olivia and Ned had decided to go into town, split up into three duos, and look for the boys themselves. Alice and Bill had been searching and asking around the carnival to see if the boys were here or if anyone had seen them. To no avail, unfortunately.

"I've got hot-dogs here. What will it be, sir? Two for the price of one?" Said a man, wearing white cooking gloves.

"It's tempting, we'll think about it. But in the meantime, have a look." Said Bill, showing the man a picture of Cameron, Rocco and Leo he held in his right hand. "You seen any of these kids?"

"Mm-mm. No. Are they in some kind of trouble?" The man said.

"You bet they are." Alice said before taking the picture from Bill. "One of the boys in the picture--the one with the short brown hair--his name is Cameron. He's our son. The blond-haired boy is my nephew, Rocco, and the other boy with long black curly hair is my cousin, Leo."

"Is this a juvenile delinquent situation?" The man asked.

"No, they're not criminals, they're just underage." Bill said.

"And they ran away. They probably don't have enough money and i know they don't know how to live out here on their own." Alice said.

"Yeah, good luck tryin' to find these kids. This place is crawling with kids. Look, are you gonna get a hot-dog or what?" The man said.

"Would you just look at their faces, please? Just-Will you look at the picture?! You didn't even look!" Alice said. Clearly this man wasn't interested in helping her and Bill find the boys, as he was looking at her, not the photo of Cameron, Rocco and Leo.

"Lady, i'm running a hot-dog business, not a police station. Sorry." The man said.

"Ugh!" Said Alice as she walked off.

"Excuses me." Bill said before going over to where Alice was. "You were pretty rude to that guy."

"Look, i'm sorry. Guess i was...channeling my motherly instincts." Alice said.

"Yeah, well, you made a real good impression on that guy." Bill said. "I don't know, maybe...maybe it was good. A man asking question is one thing. And there's a concerned Mom. I think you got through to him. If he saw anything, he'd let us know."

"So what now?" Alice asked.

"We campus the carnival...and ask around." Bill said.

"I don't know, Bill. I think we may need to-"

"Get ourselves something to eat. What do you think." Bill said, cutting Alice off.

"I'm not hungry. You think i can eat right now?" Alice said.

"Hey...let me tell you something. You're gonna be no good to Cameron if you don't keep yourself strong. Okay? So, uh...what do you say?" Bill said.

Knowing Bill was right, Alice went back over to the man at the hot-dog stand. "Hey. How 'bout a couple of hot-dogs?"

"Now you're talkin'." Said the man.

"Alright." Alice said.

The man got a hot-dog bun, opened up one of the doors of the stand and then reached inside to get a cooked weenie.
