A/N: Thanks for the kind review and hearts! It really means a lot to me. I've also been thinking of doing another story involving a now grown up Muffin and Socks getting jobs after their parents tell them they can't be spoiled anymore and because they're having money issues. The sisters then find out however, that their bank account has been hacked and then try to find the one responsable for their money loss while thinking what they're gonna do once they grow up since they're scared of the future.
I MAY do a sequel then involving another Grey Heeler who looks just like Muffin named Cupcake, who then kidnaps her and replaces her place. While Muffin is mistaken as Cupcake and is send to prison, Cupcake behaves well with Stripe, much to his surprise since Muffin wouldn't do that, and helps Trixie with her job and makes their relationship grow, but for Socks, she doesn't fall for it. It is then revealed Cupcake was the leader of the dog who hacked the bank in the first story and tries to steal more.
"Pssst, Dwad!"
...
"Dwad!"
...
"DAD!!!"
With a jolt, Stripe woke and turned to see his three-year-old daughter beside his and Trixie's bed, he could hear her sniff a tear. Sugar Heart, a Moonlight Unicorn he had bought her a day prior, was held tightly in her arms.
"Shhhh, don't wake up your mother. Are you okay, Muffy? Do you feel sic-"
Muffin shook her head. "I had a nightmare Dad, it was..." a few tears came out, "it was about...we were camping and when I went to the pawnd, I dwauned and kept fawing, and fawing..."
Stripe immediately got off the bed and carried his daughter to the kitchen, where he sat her down in one of the many chairs in their dinning table, grabbed a cup of milk, and send it to warm in the microwave.
While it warmed, he went to the chair next to Muffin's, who still held Sugar close, and patted her back until little by little, her sobs calmed down a bit. "I'm so sorry kiddo, but I promise you, you will never drown or disappear, not in my watch.
His kid smiled, still with a few tears, and now with a relieved sound, rushed to Stripe and they both immediately hugged.
"So...what happened in that nightmare of yours exactly again?"
"I-I fell into a pawnd dewper and dewper...you and Mum went futher and futher away. None of you came and gwabed me."
Stripe hugged her tighter. He had never heard of what to do on these types of situations. His own mother and father were never there when he had nightmares, so wasn't sure how to handle this. But be darned, he will never ever let one of his daughters ever know the feeling of distrust from their own parents.
"Muffin, your mother, Socks and I will never let you down. We will always be here for you. Always. No matter how old you get, promise to always share with us even your smallest problem. Okie dokie, pokie?"
Muffin giggled and eagerly nodded her head.
Beep!...Beep!...Beep!
Stripe then gently let go off Muffin and went back to the kitchen, he then gave the warm milk to a now eager Muffy.
Stripe then decided to change the subject to something more light-hearted.
"I heard that you were teaching Socks how to talk, did it work?"
Muffin's tail wagged. "Ye! But shwe had twable at first."
Stripe laughed. "She'll get there one day, i'm sure of it."
Stripe then waited patiently as Muffin finished her warm cup of milk.
Soon enough, she started rubbing her eyes.
"Ready to sleep again, kiddo?"
Muffin slowly nodded. She then grabbed Stripe's tail as they walked hallway to hallway tightly along side Sugar Heart and closed her eyes in fright.
"Can-Can I sweep with you and Mum tonight?" She whispered.
Stripe nodded warmly and after picking her up, kissed her in the forehead.
When they got the room, Stripe placed Muffin between him and Trixie and tugged her in before covering up himself.
Muffin closed her eyes sleeply and grabbed her Dad's arm in a hug, with her other hand she still held her plush.
"Thanks, Dad."
She hugged him more.
Stripe smiled sleeply and kissed her in her forehead once more before saying the next words.
"I love you Muffin. Sweet dreams."
