During the storm,Thomas Curry found Atlanna all washed up. He took her in & they fell in love. They had a child named Arthur. Atlanna decides to leave after she reveals to Tom where she came from. Before she left,Atlanna gave her son the Necklace.
Several Years Later,Arthur was arrested for breaking into a dolphin habitat. He explains to Tom that he hears the dolphins speaking to him. Then,Arthur sense a bunch of Fishermen,led by Jesse Hyde,attacking the Whale. Arthur must put a stop to this. Jesse aims a harpoon gun at Arthur,but Tom took a hit for him. Arthur went furious & kills Jesse. After the whale was free,the dying Tom tells Arthur that his Mother is the Queen of Atlantis. Arthur visits Tom's friend,Stephen Shin,who studying about Atlantis. At the Lighthouse,Arthur notice an intruder,who turns out to be a woman named Mera,who has been sent by Atlanna. They arrived at Atlantis where they meet Vulko,who took Arthur to see his Mother.
The Fisher King scolds them for failing,but learned about Arthur. He hires two pirates,Eel & Scavenger to hunt down Arthur. Later,Arthur meets Garth,who wants to become a warrior.
Then,Eel & Scavenger attacks the Kingdom,killing two soldiers,injured one,& capturing Arthur. He was taken to Fisher King's lair. Mera & Garth manage to save him & escapes. They have located the trident that once belongs to Arthur's ancestor,Atlan. Arthur puts on an orange & green suit.
Arthur confronts Fisher King & faces him while Mera & Garth fought with Eel & Scavenger. Mera defeats Eel & kills Scavenger. Arthur finally stabs Fisher King with the Trident,killing him.
After Eel was arrested,Atlanna assures Arthur that the Fisher King was only the beginning & there will be more. Arthur will be ready when they attack. While training Garth,Arthur is alerted of a Yacht was catching fire. He tells Garth to keep practicing while he manage to save them,dubbing the name,"Aquaman".

Mera was secretly in contact with her father,who tells to do what she must.
Post-Credits:
Shin tells Arthur that he's not the only warrior. He shows him the picture of a woman in armor with a Lasso.
