Emerald Town
The sun is setting and the Death Egg is now above the sun, causing panic as those in Emerald Town are evacuating from the superweapon that'll destroy earth.
Sliding, Sonic, Tails and Amy are back until they come across a hedgehog woman, dropping her bag after witnessing Sonic and Amy's return.
"Ah… A- Amy? Nicky? Is that…"
"Hey, Miss Wing. Long time no see." Amy waves as she and her friends are having a reunion with Miss Wing herself.
Sonic approaches Miss Wing, leading to him putting on his glasses, revealing himself to his former teacher.
"Hey, Miss Wing." Sonic calmly speaks out.
"No way… You two… But I…" Miss Wing covers her mouth, realising that Sonic and Amy's survival is all true.
"Sonic and Amy were on an adventure and I tagged along. Miss Wing, I need you to get out of here." Tails warned.
"What do you mean adventure?" Miss Wing is confused about what Tails said.
"I wanted to run all around the world and face danger. Eggman's just a bonus." Sonic nods while smirking and takes off his glasses.
"That's why we need you to run. We'll take care of Eggman!" Amy said while holding Miss Wing's hands.
After that, Miss Wing embraces Sonic and Amy, seeing as her students are okay after the incident at Hedgehog Town.
"You kids risked your life to fight against a maniac. I can't believe it." Miss Wing is having a hard time knowing if Nicky fighting something dangerous is true or false.
Before the trio run, Rosemary arrives with a spanner, a torch and a face helmet, surprising Tails that his mother has been working on his Tornado.
"Miles. I had to get this engine replaced. I brought the Antonv An-2, an object designed for utility and agricultural use. It can land on anything so you might have no problem landing on broken grounds. With high lifting power, you might reach the Death Egg." Rosemary explained the engine, while spinning a spanner.
"Really!?" Tails exclaimed with surprise.
"That's amazing!" Amy is in joy after hearing what the Tornado will do to go above the clouds.
"Huh. You do know your planes, Rosemary." Sonic chuckles while walking.
"Indeed. I was an engineer back then. Your father was an amazing pilot alongside Henry Gordon and Chuck Yeager."
"Dad?" Sonic halts, hearing that Rosemary knows his father well.
"You know Paul Jules!?" Amy gasped.
"Of course. Just like Isabella, he was a member of the Guardian Units of Nations as an airforce pilot. The pilots came over to the engineering garage for us to manufacture their planes and I was one of them."
"Yeah! Remember mom and I fixed the Tornado?" Tails points out what he did yesterday.
"Yeah. You're like your mom." Sonic can tell as he's glad that he met an engineer.
"Like mother, like son. Rosemary, I remember the time you saved my life. If I hadn't been around, then I won't see my old students again." Miss Wing puts her own forehead onto Rosemary's.
"Don't make this awkward. But yeah, I'm glad that you survived. Miss Wing, the kids are right, you need to leave." Rosemary nods and then turns towards Sonic, Tails and Amy.
"But what about you, Rosemary?" Miss Wing asks with worry.
"Hmph! I'll be fine. It's worth the sacrifice if the kids succeed in defeating Dr. Ivo Robotnik." Rosemary smirks, determined to face her fate with dignity.
Miss Wing understands as the kids she sees are more braver than she gives them credit for, even Rosemary believes in them.
"Be careful, my students." Miss Wing then leaves Rosemary and the kids.
Before the group heads back home, a scream was heard.
"Huh?" Sonic and Amy halts, even Tails gasped out of shock.
"Nicole!" Rosemary runs at a hasty pace, hearing that screaming means trouble.
"Nicole!?" Tails exclaimed.
"We need to hurry!" Amy yells while running with Sonic and Tails.
In Tails' house, a bullet has caught onto Isabella's stomach, causing her to collapse as she coughs.
"So it's red. Just a typical colour of blood." Carrying G.U.N.'s firearms pistol, Fang sighs and then turns towards a frightened lynx, making him grin.
Before Fang points his gun, Nicole hastily rushes upstairs while leaning on the wall, knowing her sickness is getting worse in a panic state.
"Hey, lynx, nothing personal, but I need the money." Fang said calmly while pointing a gun at Nicole.
Nicole knows that Eggman had set everything up against those he hates, making her pant and cough.
"Geez, if you're that sick, then why did you run from me? Tell ya what, which ammunition is it? Real bullets or corks?" Fang asked.
"Corks!" Sonic called while diving through the window with Tails and Amy.
"Nicole!" Tails shouted.
"M- Miles!" Nicole raises her hand, glad that Tails has returned with his friends.
"That's it! You've gone too far!" Amy snapped while raising her Piko Piko Hammer.
"So what!? I was getting paid to do this! Also, since Eggman has the emeralds, there's nothing you can do to stop me and your plane is as good as mine!"
Sonic can hear a door slam, making him smirk.
"So, you wanna play, huh? I mean attacking sick little girls is just unfair." Said Sonic.
"So what!? I'm a wanted criminal! I can do whatever I want!" Fang yelled while pointing a real gun at Sonic, Tails and Amy, making the trio raise their arms.
"Whatever you want, eh? Maybe you should look behind you." Sonic points at Fang.
"What?"
BONK!
"GAH!" Fang yells as he collapses, dropping both guns as he's knocked unconscious by a spanner.
"Don't you dare hurt my family!" Rosemary growled and then rushed towards Nicole.
With Nicole wheezing with hyperventilation, Sonic, Tails, Amy and Rosemary are now desperate as Sonic zips downstairs, only for him to see Isabella on a chair with a bullet wound on her stomach.
"Isabella, what happened?" Sonic quickly asks Isabella as Isabella picks herself up from the chair with her hand covered in her own blood.
"Sonic… You're back… The chemicals, Nicole needs a shot… Hurry!" Isabella coughs while falling to her knees.
"What about you?" Sonic is more concerned after what happened in Tails' house.
"I can take care of myself. I know self medication. Just hurry up and jab her already!" Isabella shouted, leading Sonic to take the needle and zip back upstairs.
"This is bad…" Tails grunts.
"Poor Nicole…" Amy is now worried that Nicole will die.
"The NIDS has worsened due to the panic she had. That jerboa, why would he do that?" Rosemary is getting to the point of grabbing Fang and beating the tar out of him.
Sonic arrives and then jabs Nicole's arm while putting the chemicals inside her, causing Nicole to calm down as her breathing softens.
"Thanks, Sonic. But what about Isabella?" Rosemary asked.
"She said she'll handle herself." Sonic answers with a serious expression.
Tails and Amy are relieved that Sonic is able to save Nicole's life as Rosemary picks up Nicole and puts her in bed.
"So what about that jerboa guy?" Amy asked.
"I got this." Sonic grabs Fang and zooms out of the house.
Outside at the beach, Sonic quickly builds a raft and places Fang on it, making him push Fang into the sea after unequippeing his Eggman gear from him.
With Fang out of the way, Sonic is seeing not just one flying ship, but a bunch as if Eggman is really going up the clouds in a pink and maroon sky.
Knowing it's evening, Sonic is preparing himself to go all the way to the sky and stop Eggman once and for all.
"Hang in there, Tania." Sonic prays for his sister's safety, knowing she's taken by Eggman.
Finally Sonic leaves the beachside as he's ready.
Wing Fortress
"What!? Even Fang is eliminated!? Grr! So that's why they won't stop. Well two could play that game!" Eggman is increasing his defence system after witnessing Sonic and his friends beating his minions.
While the robots are prepared for tomorrow, Eggman is ready to see how far Sonic falls from the sky.
"Stupid bounty hunter and his stupid criminal past… Isabella, my old friend, it's nice knowing you, but I'm afraid you'll have to perish." Eggman may have regret eliminating his old friends, but is willing to do it out of his own volition.
With Silver Sonic standing next to Eggman, Silver Sonic is scanning the Death Egg's distance as it reaches the clouds.
"Tomorrow will be my victory! The chaos emeralds are mine, the world is going to be reshaped as Eggmanland and I, for the first time in my life, will put that brat Sonic in his place!" Eggman cackles after revealing his plans as a way to win the battle.
20XX August 7th
Emerald Town
It's quiet…
No population…
No animals…
Nothing…
The sun rises at dawn as the time is 04:00 in the morning.
Opening the garage door as well as expanding the road with lights turning on at the corners, revealing under the dawn sun is the Tornado, piloted by Miles 'Tails' Prower, ridden by Amy Rose on the backseat and Nicky 'Sonic' the Hedgehog on the wing of the biplane.
"This is Rosemary Prower, manufacturer of the Tornado, we're about to lift off. Target: The Wing Fortress. Objective: Destroy the Death Egg before it fires at earth. The Tornado will take off in 5 minutes." Rosemary speaks as she's the navigator, assisting Sonic, Tails and Amy in infiltrating Eggman's stronghold.
"This is it, the final battle. How are you guys doing?" Sonic asks while putting his thumb up.
"I'm okay! I can't wait to trash those robots!" Amy cheers while raising her arms.
"I'm okay. The engine's all set up." Tails nods as he's ready to go against Eggman. "Mom, what are the chances of defeating Eggman?"
"Around 57.2%. It won't be easy, but it's doable. Be careful out there." Rosemary said.
"I will." Tails nods and puts on his pilot goggles as well as Amy puts on hers.
In the yellow sky below the sun, the Death Egg is reaching to the highest, making Sonic grin and tighten his grip on the wing.
04:04.
"It's time. The Tornado will take off in 5… 4… 3… 2… 1…"
Before Rosemary finishes her countdown, Sonic widens his grin with confidence as his sense of danger is hitting its peak, Tails is on full focus as the guns on the Tornado are equipped and ready for both offensive and defensive moves, and Amy is nervous while preparing what's coming from the sky.
"Begin Operation: Sky Chase! Liftoff!" Rosemary yells as the Tornado is shooting itself like the wind and lifting itself towards the sky, making this kind of lift off a success.
The Tornado is finally above the clouds, leading the trio to prepare themselves.
"We did it!" Amy cheered.
"Now it's just the beginning! Tails, get us to Eggman's fortress!"
"Already on it!" Tails nod and charge the tornado.
What they encounter this time is a fast moving bird plane badniks called Balkirys, making Tails steer as Sonic braces himself while grunting and Amy screams.
"Heh. Tails, let's split!" Sonic called.
"What!?" Tails exclaimed.
"You handle your end! I got mine!" Sonic hops off the Tornado and dive onto the Balkirys by bouncing on them as a quill ball and then ride on one of them like a board.
With the Balkyris chasing Sonic down as one of them is shaking Sonic off, Sonic is struggling after other robots are tameable, making him realise that Eggman took notes of his mistakes.
As Sonic is close to the clouds, a horde of Balkirys are diving down until a hail of bullets hit them, causing a flock of birds to fly as more Balkirys are closer to Sonic.
"Tails, I need some help over there!" Sonic shouted.
A race as the Tornado is at the same speed as the Balkirys, especially one of them pokes Sonic's backside as he yelps, Amy raises her Piko Piko Hammer and hammers some robots that are moving a lot faster than an average flying robot.
They're now closer to the Wing Fortress as Sonic jumps on the Tornado as a Balkiry hits the nitro and explodes, leading Tails to lift the Tornado upwards and set the guns on backwards.
"Amy, fire the badniks!" Tails shouted.
"Okay! Take this!" Amy yells while pressing the buttons as the bullets are hitting a horde of Balkirys, creating a track of explosions as the Tornado is getting close to the moving Wing Fortress.
"We're almost there! Keep going!" Sonic shouts.
"Right!" Tails is still lifting the biplane as the Tornado is getting closer.
"Tails! More badniks incoming!" Amy called.
"Ngh! Eggman doesn't give up, does he?" Tails grunts while firing on his end.
"He never does! Amy, keep firing!" Sonic yelled.
"Right!"
With the Tornado firing everywhere, there's no telling which is the entrance as the Tornado is circling itself around the Wing Fortress.
Behind is the boosters that are nothing but fire as the Tornado is closer to it.
"When the nitro turns off, we'll go inside!" Tails shouted.
"Heh. Then let's force it to turn off!" Sonic chuckles.
"With pleasure!" Amy swaps the guns to its opposite direction and fires the bullets on the booster, causing an explosion as smoke is coming out instead.
While the trio are finally above the orbit, the Tornado's engine is flickering as Tails and Amy exclaimed, causing it to explode as Sonic grunt.
"Oh no! We reached the top of the orbit! Sonic! Go on without us!" Tails yelled.
"What!? Tails, he'll die!" Amy shrieks until Sonic nods.
"Don't worry, Amy. This is me against Eggman. I'll stop the Death Egg no matter what!" Sonic pulls up his thumb with a confident smile.
This led to Amy realising that this is what Sonic truly wanted in his experience, making her smile that Nicky has changed a lot.
"Please don't die, Sonic! Good luck!"
Afterwards, Sonic hops inside the booster, watching Tails and Amy fall as Sonic is now alone, ready to face Eggman personally.
Sonic is now closer to the Death Egg as his goal is near.
Finally, he runs inside the fortress where Eggman is waiting.
Operation: Sky Chase is a success.
