Miraculous Pokémon: Scarlet & Violet Season 1

Many of us know the story of Miraculous, but what if their story was different. In the Pokémon world, Arceus infused the power of his plates to 19 Pokémon to create the Miraculous, which grant humans the powers of Pokémon. When one of these Miraculous falls into evil hands, it's up to Ladybug and Cat Noir to save the region of Paldea.

Miraculous Pokémon: Scarlet/Violet

Season 1 Episode 8: Fossil Fiend

[To clarify to readers, this episodes is essentially "Animan", I had to make a few edits since there are no zoos in Pokémon. Hope you all enjoy this chapter. Also, sorry for the delay, I've had other projects going on.]

The scene starts off in the Naranja/Uva Academy library, Marinette and Alya are reading a magazine with their Pokémon by their side as Marinette reads aloud,"'Okay, my Pokémon personality quiz says that match with… Eevee: Versatile, adaptable, and filled with endless potential." [I hated that cringe roaring joke, especially since Marinette's birthday makes her a Cancer, not a Leo. So I switched it up for a personality quiz, which I got thanks to Wikihow.]

Alya giggles as she agrees and says, "Nice to see I'm not the only one who sees it." Marinette nudges her as she, Alya and their Pokémon continuegiggling.

Across the courtyard,Ninoand Squirtle are spying on them. Adrien and his Sprigatito appear behind the two as Adrien teases Nino by saying,"FYI, Marinette's never gonna fall in love with a statue." In a panic, Nino pulls Adrien so they can hide.

Nino pulls his friend around the corner as he says, "Shhh! You know I'm no good with the ladies, especially this one all of a sudden." Nino mopes as Squirtle pats him on his leg to comfort him. "I mean, dude, do I go up to her and crack a joke? Shoot her a compliment? Invite her to the new fossil exhibit? Play it serious?"

"Nino, you're way over-thinking this," Adrien says to his friend. 'Invite her to the fossil exhibit', you serious?"

Nino then non-confidently explains, "Well, they have this really cool new display there."

Adrien puts down Sprigatito, wraps his arm around his friend's shoulder and says to him, "Listen, just be yourself, man."

Nino pulls away as he responds, "That's easy for you to say, Mr. Front-of-the-cover-Teen-Model-weekly. I'm not that cool."

"You're cool too, dude, trust me - or you wouldn't be my best bud." Adrien says with a smile."Invite her to the fossil exhibit. She'll say 'yes', I promise."

Nino begins having confidence and starts walking over towards Marinette and Alya. But he panics at the last minute and runs back to Adrien as he says, "What if I act like a moronosaurus, or she disses me or thinks I'm lame or -?" Squirtle gives his trainer a sympathy pat on the shoulder.

"Okay, I got your back."Adrien says as he and Nino fist-bump.

Outside Naranja/Uva Academy, Alya and Marinette are exiting the academy with their Pokémon, while Adrien and Nino are hiding behind one of the trees in the courtyard. Adrien signals Nino and they come out of hiding. Marinette, holding the magazine in front of her, turns to and sees a picture of Adrien and says to Alya, "Oh, he'ssucha—"

Alya interrupts her by saying,"Smartie, hottie, suavísimo, yummy-tastic spellbinder!"

"All of the above." Marinette replies with swoon. Pilpup rolls her eyes as Fennekin and Pikachu giggle. As they're walking, Marinettebumps into Nino and gets confused. Nino stands very still in front of her, with a very nervous look on his face and doesn't say a word.

Adrien appears behind the statue-like Nino and says to the girls,"Oh, so sorry."He then nudges Nino and asks to him,"Right, Nino?"

"Sorry." Nino says quickly while still remaining still.

Marinette giggles but then looks down to see the magazine pages with pictures of Adrien. She panics as she bends down to pick up the magazine before Adrien sees it, but he walks over to pick it up for her. They end up bumping into each other by their foreheads.

"Sorry."Marinette and Adrien both said as she grabs the magazine away in a panic.

"Sorry about that." Adrien says as he stands up, "How could we make it up to you? Any ideas...Nino?"Sprigatito nudges Nino's shoulder while Squirtle nudges his trainer's leg but he doesn't answer."How about we all check out the...Fossil Museum today?" Marinette grows a wide smile as Adrien continues, "Word is they've got a new..."

Adrien then snaps his fingers in front of Nino to get him to continue as Nino responds,"Uh, they-they got a new Relicanth tank."

With excitement, Alya responds"Awesome idea, right, Marinette? You love exciting types of Pokémon."

Marinette stammers as she replies,"Uh, yeah. I, uh, I'mreallyinto Fossimon. I mean, uh, Pokéssils. I mean Fossimoils. I..."She eventually just sighs as Piplup facepalms in disbelief.

"Cool. Say, after school, four o'clock?"Adrien said as he looks at Nino."Nino, sound good?"Nino nods nervously as Adrien continues,"Cool, four o'clock then."

"Four!"Marinette agrees as Adrien nods before he and the Pokémon pull Nino and walks away. "Four o' ..." Marinette repeated in a love-struck voice.

"Uh, Earth to Marinette?" Alya says as she waves her hand in front of an oblivious Marinette's face. "Youdorealize the guy you're completely crazy about has just asked you out, right?"

"Yeah..."Marinette responded still love-struck but then panics as soon as she makes the realization."Huh, wait, what?! No, not like this! Not here, not today! I haven't washed my hair! I'm not wearing my lucky socks! I..!" She then holds onto Alya and says, "Help me, Alya! I can't do this alone!"Supportive of her friend, she rolls her eyes as she pats Marinette's head. Meanwhile, Piplup also rolls her eyes as Fennekin and Pikachu giggle.

As the two sit on a bench on the other side of the academy with their Pokémon, Nino asks,"How did youdothat, dude?"

"Like I said: 'Just be yourself'." Adrien said.

"Right, sure. If I could beyourself;myself don't work that way." Nino replies as he rubs his Squirtle on the head.

Adrien pulls out an Oran berry from his bag and gives half to Sprigatito as he says to his friend,"You're being ridiculous. Of course you can." He hands the other half to Squirtle as he continues, "And when you're alone with Marinette at the museum later on—"

Before he can say anything else, Nino interrupts him and says with panic,"Whoa, what do you meanalonewith Marinette? Oh no, dude. You're coming with me. You can't leave me alone by myself. Nuh-uh."

Adrien sighs with annoyance as he says,"No prob, Nino. What are friends for?"The two friends fist-bump again as their Pokémon enjoy a berry treat.

[For the record, I had zero idea where to put this museum (I can't find a good spot in Mesagoza) so just imagine it's somewhere that makes sense]

Just outside of the museum, Marinette is standing with her Piplup as she turns on a speaker in her left ear and hears Alya's voicefrom the earpiece say,"One, two, one, two, testing. D'you read me, girl?"

"I can hear you." Marinette responds nervously,"But I still don't think I can go through with this."

The view pans to Alya hiding behinds two trees with her and her Pokémon as she says to her, "'Course you can. Just be yourself!"

Marinette rolled her eyes as she says,"Remember the last time I did that?"

In a flashback to the school's locker rooms, Alya tells her,"Just be yourself, Marinette."

Determined, Marinette walks away and opens a door to a room. She sees Adrien washing his hands. Happy to see him, she stands beside the door. But a boy scares her, making her realize that she's accidentally walked into the boys' bathroom."Hey! What're you doing in here? Get out!"One of the boys yells out. Adrien and Kim are surprised to see Marinette as she leaps out the room, closing the door. Someone throws a roll of toilet paper at the door and calls out,"Get out! Boys' room!"Kim and Adrien stand there, confused. Flashback ends.

Alya then tells her,"Fine, just be yourselfandlook where you're going." The two Pokémon giggle hearing the story and try to reenact it until Alya tells then, "Knock it off you two."

As she's [im]patiently waiting, Marinette says to herself,"Oh, where are you, love of my life?"

Tikki pops out of Marinette's bag and asks her, "How's Adrien supposed to be the love of your life if you can't even talk to him?"

"Tikki, stay out of sight." Marinette whispers as she closes her bag. Piplup shows her doubts too, but Marinette says with determination, "I'm gonna talk to him, you'll see. Iwillspeak to him!"

An overhearing Alya says to her,"That's right, girl! Way to be motivated!" [Thankfully for Marinette, she can use Piplup as an excuse for talking to Tikki]

"Yeah"Marinettegiggles in response. Suddenly she looks to her right and sees someone, with panic in her voice she says,"Ah, there they are!"

But it turns out toMaxandKim with their Pokémon, Mudkip and Froakie. Max waves at Marinette as Kim turns around to wave and say,"Hey, Marinette!"

Marinette sighs as she tells Alya,"False alarm."As the two walk over to her, she says to them, "Hey, Kim, Max; what areyoudoing here?"

Kim replies,"We heard the new Relicanth here. Me and Mudkip wanna see who's the better swimmer!" Both him and his Pokémon strike a series of muscle poses as Marinette and Piplup quietly chuckle.

Max asks her, "Do you want to come with us?"

From the earpiece, Alya can be heard telling her,"Marinette, target at ten o'clock!"

"NO!"Marinette called out in panic as Max and Kim stand there confused,"Aha, I mean, uh, thanks but...no thanks. I'm waiting for someone. Uh, you go ahead."

"'Kay, maybe we'll see you later, then."Kim said as he, Max and their Pokémon walk away.

"Yeah, later!"Marinette says as looks for Adrien, but she only sees Nino and Squirtle. He smiles nervously while waving as they walk towards her. Marinette speaks to Alya,"Where's Adrien?"

"I don't know." Alya replied through the earpiece.

"Uh, hey, Nino!" Marinette said as shelooks behind him, then asks,"Uh, isn't Adrien with you?"

Nino shrugs nervously as the view pans to Adrien is hiding behind the bushes in front of a museum sign then he pops up from hiding behind the bushes with Sprigatito. Adrien says to Nino, "Tell her you'll both be better off without me." It turns out Nino and Adrien have an earpiece set-up as well.

Nino then repeats exactly what he said,"We'll be better off without me." But this leaves Marinette confused.

"Ah, this trip is turning out to be a lot more interesting than I thought." Plagg says as he pops out of Adrien's hair as the latter tries to shush him, "Turn up the volume!"Adrien sighs as Sprigatito tries to swat him away.

Nino tries to correct himself by saying, "Uh, without him. I mean, we don't need Adrien to hang out at a museum."

"Of course we do, you dumbo!" Alya said, reacting through the earpiece.

Marinette also tries to repeat exactly, "Of course we do, you dumb—" She catches herself before she corrects herself. "-oh I mean, wasn't he supposed to come? Don't you wanna wait for him?"

"Tell her you want to be alone with her." Adrien says through their earpiece.

"Not yet!" Nino loudly whispers to Adrien.

Marinetteasks "What was that?"

Nino then says to her,"You're right; we'll wait."

Through the earpiece, Adrien says to him,"No! What are you talking about? Don't wait for me; I'm not coming!" But Nino just stands there, still very nervous.

Otis, the main curator and caretaker of the museum,starts feeding the Relicanth [plural] in the tank as he says, "Look what Daddy's brought you." After tossing them some food, one swims up to him and he says while he rubs its head, "Only the finest for my babies."

"Whoa! That is one ugly Pokémon!" Kim can be heard saying as him, Max and their Pokémon are on the other side of the tank.

Max then replies,"Relicanth has remained unchanged for over one hundred million years. Many speculated that it is because it is already the perfect life-form." [Imagine Max saying it like a living Pokédex.]

"Perfect? These things?" Kim arrogantly says as he taps the glass, scaring off a Relicanth."This boneheaded fish looks like it would keep bumping into every rock in its path."

Otis lets the Relicanth swim off as he calls out to the boys, "Hey! Don't you dare mock these Relicanth! They are gentle Pokémon with rock hard skin to handle the pressure of deep-sea life."

"Is that so?" Kim "Well, I doubt they can outswim me and Mudkip? We'd swim laps around them before they even blink."

"Are you seriously comparing yourself to a Pokémon that has been around longer than humanity itself?" Otis asked with annoyance.

"No need to. I'm obviously the better looking one." Kim said as he and Mudkip flex some more. Soon another Relicanth swims towards that side of the tank as Kim continues to mock. "Hey, fishy, fishy. How about a little race with me, huh? Last one's a rotten fish egg!"

Max then interjects by saying "Despite its current slow lifestyle, swimming within the hostile prehistoric oceans would make this 'fishy' quite resilient."

"Your friend's right, kiddo." Otis says to Kim, "You act tough now, but unlike you, Relicanths have withstood the likes of powerful ancient Pokémon. Fossil Pokémon are some of the strongest Rock types you have ever seen, you wouldn't stand a chance."

In a mocking tone, Kim replies, "Oooo, I'm so scared. Good thing they're all extinct. Much like this thing should be."The Relicanth swims away from the glass.

Filled with anger, Otis yells out to the boys,"Leavenow!Or I'll have you kicked out of the museum immediately!"

Kim:"Come on, Max. Let's leave these poor widdle fishies alone with theirangwybabysitter! Ha ha ha!"

Otis growls with frustration and mutters under his breath, "If you were face-to-face with Prehistoric Pokémon, you wouldn't be so smug."

The window opens in Hawk Moth's lair as Hawk Moth says aloud,"Bringing forth the power of the ancient past. I like that idea." A butterfly flies into the palm of his hand as he begins to swirl his other hand around, which collects glowing purple dust and moves it over the butterfly. With his hands pressed together over the butterfly, the glowing dust infuses the butterfly as it turns into anakuma. "Go ahead, my little evil akuma, fly off and take control of that fossil fanatic!" [To those wondering, yes, I am just copying and pasting my akuma process, it's just easier.]

Back at the outside of the museum, Marinette, Piplup, Nino and Squirtle are sitting at a picnic table waiting for Adrien. "He's sure taking his time, huh?" Marinette asks until she says with disappointment, "He's not coming, is he?"

Through the earpiece,Adrien says to him,"Repeat after me. Yes he is, but first I wanted to take this opportunity to..."

Determined, Nino says to her,"Yes he is, but first I wanted to take this opportunity to..."

"Tell you that I love you, Marinette." Adrien said from the earpiece.

"Tell you that I- Gahhh..." Nino tried to repeat but stopped out of nervousness,"I... Love a girl but I don't know how to tell her!"

"Hey, what are you doing?" Adrien asks while in the bushes.

Hearing this, Marinette says to him,"You do? Well, I can help you with that." Piplup rolls her eyes upon hearing this.

"You could?" Nino asked.

Alya is heard through the earpiece with sarcasm [maybe, I don't know tines] saying,"You, giving expert advice on how to tell someone you love them? Can't wait to hear this one!"

"Can't wait to hear this one..." Marinette quietly said mocking Alya.

Nino overhears and asks "What?"

Marinette tries to say "Uhh... Can't wait to hear... about this lucky girl!"

"Oh, yeah... Nino said all nervous.

"Tell her it's you!" Adrien said from the earpiece.

"It's youuu..." Nino tried saying as Marinette smiled, but then said "…uur best friend Alya!

"What?!" Adrien, Alya and Marinette all ask with astonishment (except for Marinette who smiled) while Squirtle just facepalms.

Excited, Marinette says to him,"Alya? Awesome!"

"No! No! It's not awesome!" Alya with frustration.

Alya then hears Marinette say through the earpiece,"I can fix up a date for you guys!"

"Say what?! Seriously?!" Alya shouts before she continues to speak through the earpiece,"You didn't even ask me first!"Growing more irritated, she continues,"Uh-uh! Nino's like... a brother to me! Bleugh! No! End of discussion!"

"He's gonna be so sad if you don't." Marinette says to her friend.

Again overhearing, Nino asks"Did you say something?"

Marinette replied to him, "I said... It'd be so sad if you didn't tell her!" Alya groans and growls angrily.

The akuma flies and infects Otis'bracelet, causing a light mask to form on his face as he hears Hawk Moth's voice."Fossil Fiend, I am Hawk Moth. I offer you the chance to seek revenge through the power of prehistoric Pokémon, for a small price of course."

"Yes, Hawk Moth."Otis says with a smile as he becomes engulfed in the dark purple cloud.

Meanwhile, while Max and Froakie are just listening as Kim and Mudkip brag about their skills in front of each display.

"Hey, kiddo. Still think you're tougher?" Fossil Fiend called out, revealed to have transformed into a Rampardos with a bracelet on his small arm."Go ahead, your best shot."

Kim and Max panic as Kim calls out to his Pokémon, "Mudkip, use Rock Smash!" Mudkip's hand glows red-orange as he lunges towards the Rampardos. The attack lands directly on Fossil Fiend's head but he just pushes him back towards his trainer.

Fossil Fiend then responds, "Is that the best you got?"

Worried, Max calls out to his Pokémon, "Froakie, use Quick Attack!" Froakie's body becomes outlined in blue as he charges towards the villain with great speed, but Fossil Fiend counters by using Screech which releases a cylindrical beam from his mouth that loudly blows Froakie back.

As Fossil Fiend chuckles, Kim and Max both call out to their Pokémon, "Use Water Gun!" Both Mudkip and Froakie fire spirals of water from their mouths, but Fossil Fiend counters by firing a multicolored dragon-shaped beam of energy from his mouth (Dragon Pulse) which breaks through the Water Guns and blasts the two Pokémon back into the arms of their trainers.

Defeated, both Kim and Max look up as Fossil Fiend says to them, "This is where you start running." And the two kids run as fast as they can away from the villain.

Back with Nino and Marinette, Alya can be heard through the earpiece with annoyance, "This whole date thing with Nino isnothappening!Ugh!"

"HE'S COMING!" Kim screamed as he and Mudkip run by.

Max runs by with Froakie as he calls out,"Get outta here!"

Marinette and Nino see Fossil Fiend as he yells out a powerful Screech which breaks the glass displays and causing everyone (even Adrien and Alya through the earpieces) to cover their ears in pain. Recovering from the sound, Nino says to Marinette,"We better ditch this place!" and they run away.

Marinette and runs and hides behind a bench, while Adrien also sees Fossil Fiend charge by as he hides behind the bushes.

As Marinette hides, Tikki floats next to her and asks,"Why didn't you listen to Alya, Marinette?"

"I couldn't help it!" Marinette replied,"I didn't want Nino to be sad."

"We'll deal with that later." Tikki said to her,"Now it's time to transform!"

Marinette returns Piplup to her Pokéball as she begins her Transformation Sequence."Tikki, spots on! Ha!"Marinette transforms into Ladybug.

"We've gotta do something."Adrien said asPlagg sighs while he sits on Adrien's head. "Sprigatito, return." As Sprigatito glowed red and returned to the Pokéball, Adrien began his Transformation Sequence. "Plagg, claws out!"Adrien transforms into Cat Noir.

Kim runs away from Fossil Fiend, but he trips. As Mudkip stops to try to help his trainer, Fossil Fiend comes up and says to him,"End of the line, kiddo. What do you think of fossil Pokémon now?"

On the ground, Kim backs up as he replies,"That... they are the best?"

Suddenly, Ladybug and Cat Noir land between them as she asks,"And what doyouthink about Ledians?"

"And Liepards?" Cat Noir adds.

Fossil Fiend responds, "I think Rock types can squash you both."

Suddenly, a light mask form on his face as he hears Hawk Moth's voice saying,"Fossil Fiend, take their jewels! Their Miraculouses! Bring them to me!"

Ladybug turns her head around and says to Kim,"If you value your life and your Pokémon, get out of here! Now!" Kim hurries to get up and grabs Mudkip as they run away. Fossil Fiend chases him, but Ladybug stops him by swinging her yo-yo around the villain, leaving him tied up on the ground. She then says to her partner,"Cat Noir, his bracelet. The akuma must be inside the charm!"

"You hold him, I grab the bracelet." Cat Noir said as he walked closer.

Before they can get too close, Fossil Fiend fires a powerful Dragon Pulse that sends the two flying back a long distance. [Out of sight for the whole 'escape']

Disoriented, Cat Noir gets up and says, "Wow, that dino packs a punch."

"Oh,really?I hadn't noticed." Ladybugreplied as she gets up too. Ladybug and Cat Noir see Alya and Nino running with their Pokémon in panic as Ladybug says, "I think we'd better split up. You get back to the dino, I'll try to help them."

She goes to where Nino and Alya are and she grabs pulls the two aside and leads them to the Relicanth enclosure. The two are confused as Ladybug tells them,"Stay put and you'll be safe." Shethen locks the doors and leaves.

Nino looks at Alya and nervously says to her,"Uhh... Hey, what's up?" Alya lets out a disgusted groan.

Meanwhile, Cat Noir leaps back to where Fossil Fiend was as Ladybug soon follows. Ladybug sees her yo-yo untangled and says with concern,"But... it's unbreakable!"

"He didn't actually break it."Cat Noir replies as hesquats down and he gives the yo-yo back to Ladybug.

"Then how did he get away?" Ladybug asked as she retracted her yo-yo.

"I don't know, but we better find Kim..." Cat Noir tried to say but stopped, realizing he might expose his identity."I mean, that boy, before he does." Ladybug spins her yo-yo and Cat Noir extends his staff as they swing off into the city and land on a rooftop. While on the roof, Cat Noir notices and says,"Over there!"

Fossil Fiend slowly approaches Kim on the bridge as he says to him, "It's down to just the two of us, Kiddo."[Assume Mudkip was returned to his Pokéball.] Kim falls over again as the villain continues to say,"And then there was one."Fossil Fiend charges at Kim with a Zen Headbutt, but Ladybug stops him with her yo-yo again.

Ladybug says to him,"You're not getting awaythistime!"

Cat Noir lands next to Kim and says to him,"Quick, go and hide in the first building you come to."He subtly places a tracker on Kim's back before he runs off.

"You'll never get me!"Fossil Fiend angrily said before he becomes engulfed by a dark purple cloud and transforms into an Aerodactyl before flying away.

As they watch him fly off, Cat Noir says,"Now we know how we got away earlier."

"He transformed! He's not just a Rampardos; he has the powers of a Ditto!" Ladybug said before she asks her partner, "Where's Kim?"Cat Noir shows screen on his staff which is detecting Kim's location."Good job, kitty."She said as she scratches Cat Noir's chin.

[Just for some fun, I'm gonna write in a scene with Nino and Alya locked in the enclosure. Excluding the 'Evolution' episode, it's open to interpretation.]

Meanwhile, in the Relicanth enclosure, Alya and Nino are look as the Relicanths slowly swim around in the tank. Nino says to her, "They sure look majestic, huh?"

"Yeah, we've travelled a long way from Hoenn." Alya responded.

"Wait, we?" Nino asked with confusion.

Alya replied, "Yeah, my father's the new head curator here." She reached into the water to pet a Relicanth as she continued, "He is one of the biggest fanatics for fossils and Relicanths that I know of. When the job opened up here, it seemed like a good opportunity. And frankly, I've loved it every day since."

"Wow. Sounds like you live a pretty cool life." Nino says to her.

But Alya just shrugs him off by saying, "Look Nino, you're a nice guy, but I'm not really interested in anything… romantic." Alya sat down against the wall with her Fennekin and Pikachu next to her.

Surprised, Nino asks her, "Oh, you heard that huh?" Nino sits down next to her and says, "To be honest, I mainly just said that 'cause I was too nervous."

Alya looks over and asks, "Nervous about what?"

"Well, this gonna sound dumb, but Adrien was trying to help me ask Marinette out and I just panicked." Nino said still sounding nervous.

Alya then giggled as she said to him, "Trust me, Marinette has done weirder things for her crush."

Nino then asked "Marinette's crushing on someone too?" But before they can continue, they heard a clanging noise around the corner of the enclosure. Nino then hid Alya behind him as he said, "Dude, I think something's in here."

As fast as he could, Kim runs into Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie, and pleads with exhaustion, "Help! Rescue me! Please!"

As Kim collapses to the floor, Tom and Sabine gasps as they and their Pokémon go over to help him as Tom says,"It's okay, son. Come this way. Easy." Both Tom and Mienshao help carry him inside.

The two heroes land on the roof of the bakery as Cat Noir says,"He's safe inside this building. It's not like Aerodactyls can open doors."

Ladybug looked to him and replied,"Maybe not, but with the power to transform into ANY fossil Pokémon, who knows what he can do."

"Right." Cat Noir said as he began to think."But we do have an advantage over him. We know exactly where to find his prey."

Ladybug said in response,"Fossil Fiend will sniff him out sooner or later, but it's bought us a bit of time to plan our next move. Follow me." She said as they jump down to the streets and enter the bakery. "Hi, mo...am." She tried to say before she caught herself.

"Oh, but... you're..." Sabine says, making Ladybug nervous,"you're, you're Ladybug!"

"Yeah, exactly." Ladybug replies with relief.

Back at the enclosure, Nino and Squirtle put themselves in front of Alya and her Pokémon as something appears from the darkness. They all show relief as it is revealed to be a little Whismur. "Ahh, what a cute lil dude." Nino said as he walks over to the Whisper Pokémon.

Alya questions the situation and says, "Poor fella must've accidently stowed along when they moved the exhibit from Hoenn." She sees Nino and Squirtle getting closer and stops him by saying, "Careful! Whismurs are very skittish and cry VERY loudly when scared."

Anyone would be scared being in a lace they don't know." Nino said as he pulled out a berry. "Come here lil dude." As he held out the berry, Whismur move closer to him very slowly and grabbed the berry before running back behind the corner. "I guess you were hungry, don't worry, you're safe with us." Seeing Nino be so calm with that scared Pokémon, Alya slowly started to see a new side to Nino. [This is all I'll reveal for now; I'm out of ideas for this scene.]

On the television, a TVi Newsflash is on the air as Nadja Chamack says,"We interrupt this broadcast with a special report. Mesagoza's latest villain is causing chaos and mayhem all throughout the city." Video is shown of Fossil Fiend as Aerodactyl using Hurricane and sending debris all over the place as people run in panic. "The police work harder trying to contain the situation. For your safety, stay in your homes and remain calm. Mayor Bourgeois will address the—"Before more of the news can be heard, Sabine turns off the TV.

In the Dupain-Cheng's living room, Ladybug gives Kim a glass of water as she says to him,"You'll be safe here." She then points to his wrist and asks, "Can I borrow this?"

"Sure."Kim said as he gives her his wristband.

Cat Noir looks at a family photo of Marinette and her parents before he gets startled by Ladybug telling him,"Come on, Cat Noir." She then turns towards Tom and Sabine and tells them, "Make sure you lock all the doors and windows."

"We'll take care of the rest. You won't be in danger." Cat Noir said with determination.

Ladybug then said, but almost slipped again,"Thanks Da- uh, sir, for all your help."

"You're welcome, Ladybug." Tom said asLadybug and Cat Noir leave to head downstairs.

After getting to the bottom of the stairs, Ladybug puts Kim's wristband on the railing. "Et voila."

Cat Noir tries to look out the window to get a view of Fossil Fiend, but suddenly gets surprised by Ladybug spraying an air freshener on him. He then asks, "Whoa! What's that stuff?"

Ladybug:Air freshener! It'll cover up our scent so he can't smell us.

"Thanks. I've always wanted to smell like..." Cat Noir says as he stops to sniff himself, "Ocean summer breeze?"He looks out the window again and says to her, "Too bad we can't just capture him in a Pokéball like a normal Pokémon?"

Ladybug then says to him, "I doubt it, besides there's no guarantee it would catch him. We would need something big enough that he can't break out of."She looks out the window and sees an abandoned bus in the street and said to Cat Noir,"Would that make a big enough cage?"

"Definitely." Cat Noir replied,"But how could we get him inside there?"Before they say anything else, his ears flap as he hears Fossil Fiend flying closer,"He's coming."

Over Mesagoza, Fossil Fiend is flying as an Aerodactyl, when he senses Kim's smell and goes directly to the Bakery while Ladybug and Cat Noir hide behind the door. Seeing him fly out, Ladybug says,"It's working. He's sniffing out Kim!"Cat Noir tries to sniffs her but he gets caught so he just gasps then giggles, but she is unamused and just tells him, "Follow me."

Fossil Fiend flies towards the front of the bakery, and turns into a Shieldon. The two heroes look confused, wondering what he is going to do when his eyes start to glow light blue and white sound waves starts reverberating from his metal head (Metal Sound). Ladybug and Cat Noir cover their ears as the powerful vibrations shatter the glass in the bakery. Fossil Fiend turns into a Kabutops and his scythe hands become covered in water (Liquidation) before he starts to chase the heroes.

"Couldn't have he chosen a less sharp Pokémon?!" Cat Noir asked as he and Ladybug exits the bakery and enter the bus to hide on the opposite side of it. Once inside, Fossil Fiend starts looking for them still as Kabutops. The two nod at each other in the back as they leap out and surprise him. "Shadow Claw!" Cat Noir called out and surrounds a dark aura with a purple outline around his hand. He then starts exchanging hits against Fossil Fiend's Liquidation.

With the bus door locked, Ladybug becomes frantic as she says, "Where's the button for the doors?"She tries to press all the buttons, but to no avail."Of course nothing works! No keys!"

Fossil Fiend morphs back into a Rampardos and knocks Cat Noir out with an Iron Head, sending his staff sliding towards Ladybug. With Cat Noir on the floor, a light mask form on his face as Hawk Moth is heard saying,"Take his Miraculous... The ring! The ring!"

As Fossil Fiend crouches over him, preparing to fire a Dragon Pulse directly at him, Ladybug kicks Cat Noir's staff to him and he extends it to Fossil Fiend back. She then swings her yo-yo to wrap around the villain, but Fossil Fiend morphs into a Shieldon to escape. Cat Noir lunges to use Night Slash but he misses and the villain transform back into Rampardos. Although, looking visibly more tired, as Ladybug notices, "All these transformations seem to be tiring him out."

"Then just let him wear himself out. It'll make it easier to capture his akuma."Cat Noir said and ran towards the front of the bus to activate his power,"Cataclysm!"He uses his Cataclysm on the bus's controls which makes the bus go haywire. As the doors frantically swing open and closed, Ladybug and Cat Noir escape the bus, but the power completely goes out before Fossil Fiend can escape and is trapped inside.

Looking at the bus, Ladybug says,"It's not exactly a cage or Pokéball, but... it'll do."

Fossil Fiend tries to Zen Headbutt his way out to no avail, before he morphs into a Kabutops to try to slash his way out. [I know moves are strong, but for plot purposes, let's just say it's a strong bus that can resist.]

"Looks like his powers can't make the 'cut'." Cat Noir jokingly said.

"You should 'cut' it out with the jokes." Ladybug jokingly replied, "Now we wait."

Fossil Fiend now morphs into a Cradily, hoping a Power Whip would break the door open, but it doesn't work. Then into an Aerodactyl but his wings gets caught, cause him to scream out loud.

"Ready to free the akuma?" Cat Noir asked.

Fossil Fiend grows tired, and morphs into a Rampardos again before collapsing.

"It's working!" Ladybug said with excitement.

Suddenly, Fossil Fiend wakes up and morphs into a Tyrantrum, growing so big he bursts out of the bus. [This scene was the main reason I decided on Fossil Pokémon.]

"For some reason, I completely forgot about Tyrantrums." Cat Noir said with a nervous tone.

Ladybug then explained,"I've read about them, before going extinct 100 million years ago, Tyrantrums were said to be vicious that no other Pokémon messed with them, leaving them no reason to fear."The Tyrantrum roars and prepares to attack the two.

They slowly back up as Cat Noir says with panic,"Well, I know two Pokémon who should definitely be afraid right now... The Liepard and the Ledian!" Ladybug and Cat Noir runs as the Tyrantrum becomes outlined with orange and charges towards them with great force (High Horsepower). The two trick him into crashing into a building, and escape to hide on the side of a car while he's distracted. Annoyed that he lost track of them, Fossil Fiend uses Dragon tail to swipe away everything in his path to find them.

Ladybug stands up as she calls out her"Lucky Charm!"She throws the yo-yo into the air and acar jackappears, leaving her confused. "Huh? A car jack?"

Cat Noir joked and said,"Too bad Fossil Fiend doesn't have any flat tires."

The two looked over the car as they see the Tyrantrum still swinging his green, scale-patterned aura tail. Ladybug then comments, "Look how small his front arms are."

"So it won't be great at basketball." Cat Noir sarcastically says before asking,"What are you getting at?"

Ladybug then says to him,"You climb on top of him where he can't swipe at you, and while you're distracting him, I'll floor him!"

"Sounds like a good plan. I can be very distracting." Cat Noir replies in a flirting attitude, which Ladybug brushes off. But suddenly, Fossil Fiend finds them and swipes the car away with his tail before he chases them again. "It's gonna be tight."Cat Noir says while Fossil Fiend chases them. Cat Noir then jumps on top of the villain as Fossil Fiend tries to shake him off. Ladybug swings her yo-yo around his feet and pulls him to the ground.

With the villain supposedly defeated, Ladybug says,"Well, that's weird, we didn't have to use this. What does it mean?"

"Well, I guess that only means we rock as a team." Cat Noir says as he goes over to retrieve the bracelet.

All of the sudden, Ladybug makes the realization as she calls out, "Cat Noir, wait!" Fossil Fiend then begins to form a ball of red-orange fire from his mouth which then forms into a pair of flaming teeth (Fire Fang). The attack almost hits Cat Noir but Ladybug pulled him away by his tail just in Fiend roars as the two heroes fall back."I know what to do."She says as starts running towards Fossil Fiend.

Cat Noir called out, "Ladybug!"

"Enjoy your meal!" Ladybug said as she goes directly to his mouth, and apparently swallows her, to Cat Noir's horror.

"No!"Cat Noir yelled as he spins his staff."You're so gonna pay for this!" Cat Noir prepares to attack with his stick but just then, Ladybug is then seen opening Fossil Fiend's mouth with the car jack. Cat Noir is relieved when he sees her, safe and sound. Ladybug picks up Fossil Fiend's bracelet and smashes it with her hands, causing the akuma to fly out of it.

"No more evil doing for you, little akuma. Time to de-evilize!"Ladybug calls out as she swings her yo-yo and captures the akuma."Gotcha!"She releases the purified butterfly as she says, "Bye bye, little Ladybug!"She throws the Lucky Charm into the air, its energy turns everything back to normal. Fossil Fiend becomes surrounded by the dark purple clouds and is turned back into Otis. She then says to Cat Noir, "Pound it?" But instead of the usual fistbump, Cat Noir hugs her.

"Ladybug! That was a wild ride."Cat Noir said before his Miraculous starts beeping."Whoops! Better take my whiskers and run!" Cat Noir then leapt away over the buildings.

Ladybug looks at him as he leaves and says,"See you next time, Cat Noir."

"Oh! What happened to me?" Otis asked as he is coming back to his senses.

"Everything's okay." Ladybug said as she knelt next to him,"But you should get back to the museum and check on your Relicanth."

In his lair, Hawk Moth groans and angrily says aloud,"You ruined everything, Ladybug. This is not how it was supposed to end! But I promise you, one day you'll be just like those fossil Pokémon, extinct!" The window slowly closes, leaving the room in darkness.

Ladybug swings back to her house and transforms back into Marinette as she enters her room. Marinette then collapses on her couch exhausted as she sends out Piplup from her Pokéball. But before she can rest her eyes, her phone rings and sees Alya trying to call her."Oh no! I forgot all about Alya! She's gonna be so mad at me!"

Tikki flies out as she tell Marinette,"And imagine if she knew you're the Ladybug who shut her up in the enclosure with Nino!"

"Yeah, and she'd actually kill me. Guess I'll take 'mad', huh."Marinette says as she answered the phone and started talking to Alya while walking downstairs to the bakery with Piplup following."Listen Alya, I'm sorry about earlier. I should have never told Nino I'd set up a date with you. I just wasn't thinking. But I'll explain everything to him, so don't worry. Promise. Do you forgive me?"As she walks outside, sees Alya with Fennekin and Pikachu and they all laugh. Nino and Squirtle come out of the bakery with a bag of cookies and gives some to Alya and her Pokémon.

"Thanks, Nino." Alya said to him.

Nino pulls out another cookie and asks,"Do you want one, Marinette?"

"Uhh...What's he doing here?" Marinette whispered to her friend.

Alya replied to her,"Ladybug locked us up together in the Relicanth enclosure all afternoon."

"It turns out we have tons in common." Nino continued before he says to Marinette,"You know, Marinette, the girl I've got a crush on?"

Marinette smiled as she said,"Oh, yeah!"

"Actually, it was you." Nino said which leftMarinette shocked. Nino then went on to say,"Or that's what I thought. But after chilling with Alya that whole time..."

Alya interrupts and says,"Yeah, well...we don't have to give her all the deets, do we?"

"Oh, yeah, my bad. But I was about to catch this lil dude." Nino pulled out a Pokéball and sent out his new Whismur.

"Oh, little cutie!" Marinette said as she gushed over the new Pokémon.

Nino then said to her, "Yeah, this lil dude apparently got sent here from Hoenn so I thought I'd catch him."

Alya then chuckled as she said,"Seeing Nino help this scared Whismur really did change how I saw him" They then both smiled at each other. Alya then continued to say, "Oh but here's the funniest part of the whole thing. It turns out that Nino was being totally coached by Adrien at the museum!"

Surprised, Marinetteasks "Adrien was there?!"

"Yup! LOL, huh?" Alya said to her.

"Alya tells me you've been crushing on some dude." Nino says to Marinette, which leaves her more shocked.

"He doesn't know who it is! Pinky swear!" Alya said as she held pinkies with her friend."Cause... cause I don't go and make decisions for other people!" Marinette smiled upon hearing this.

Nino interrupts by saying,"But if you want, I couldtotallymake it happen!" Alya steps on his foot to stop him and he then says,"That is, if I knew the dude!"

"Nino!" Alya growled angrily.

"Fine. Pretend I never said anything." Nino continued, "But ifI...can help."

"Nino!" Alya yelled again as the Pokémon laugh at the situation.
