As the new day dawned Carnavont woke with a stretch, going through his normal routine as he prepared or work. He still hadn't much of an idea of what to exactly do for his date with Loona that night, but it was slowly coming together at least. He had thought of a pretty good spot-on Earth to take her, he just needed to think of where to take her before it was time for the date.
Carnavont let out a sigh as he headed out of his house and got into his van, heading to work and walking into the office. None of the others had arrived yet, mostly because he got there earlier than usual, which he sometimes did to have time to think or just to set an example. He used the time to continue to try and think of somewhere to take Loona as he sat in the meeting room, still drawing a blank much to his annoyance. As he sat there, he heard Typhus arrive, going to greet him before returning to wait for the others to arrive to go over the day's goals.
"Hey boss, how goes it, ready for your big date tonight?" Destra asked as she and Xera walked in hand in hand, sitting next to each other as they always did.
"I'm doing alright, though I still haven't thought of ware to take her to out to." Carnavont admitted.
"Oh what the hell boss, are you really that hopeless when it comes to dating?" Xera asked in slight disbelief.
"I mean it's not like I have a great deal of experience you know. I got ideas, just nothing concrete. If you two got any ideas of where I could take her to eat, I'd gladly take the help."
Destra sighed. "You're lucky me and Xi fall on both sides of the spectrum when it comes to girls. If you want to make a good impression then there's this good place in the gluttony ring, it's me and Xi's favorite and we go on dates there fairly often. If she's anything like either of us, she'll have a good time."
"Thanks." Carnavont thanked Destra.
"No problem, just make it count alright?" Destra encouraged.
Xera nodded. "Yeah, don't want to see you commin in all mopey and depressed, that'd just be sad."
Carnavont just rolled his eyes a bit before getting the details of where the restaurant was at from Destra and Xera. At least with that out of the way he could finally relax a little and not worry anymore about where to go. All that was left to do now was take care of the days business...and try not to worry about blowing it on the date. Carnavont mentally berated himself for yet again worrying about that, what had he to worry about? Everything was set and planned out, the only thing he really had to do was just stay himself like at the party, simple. Wait…should he also get flowers?
"Do you think I should get flowers?" Carnavont asked.
"Do you think she'd like them?" Destra inquired.
"...Maybe?" Carnavont half answered, feeling out of his depth.
"Then go for it." Destra said with a smile. "Wouldn't hurt if you think she might like them. Just maybe not a big bouquet or anything over the top."
"Right…" Carnavont nodded.
"By all that's unholy I can't believe how much of a doofus you are about this stuff when you can be kinda cool about everything else." Xera remarked.
"Now now Xera, our boss tries his best, not his fault he's not great around women." Destra smirked.
"You two do realize I control your pay and am fine around both of you and other women right?" Carnavont stated as he narrowed his eyed.
"We know." Destra smiled.
"It's just fun to bust your balls when you're not prepared for something that's nowhere near as hard as what you do for a living." Xera grinned.
"Ha ha…" Carnavont muttered.
It wasn't long before Havoc and Zever came in, the day's work able to start with their arrival. After a fairly quick routine meeting, discussing mostly anything they might need to work on or acquire, managing to also get some target practice in before clients started showing up to request their services. The first one was rather simple, a spurned lover wanting revenge, it was a simple enough task that Carnavont left it to Zever and Destra given their expertise.
Another client soon came in, a convict wanting revenge on some prison guards and inmates, another relatively simple and straight forward job. After getting their assurances they wouldn't go overboard, Carnavont left it in the hands of Xira and Havoc to take care of. With another client coming with a job that he and Typhus could manage to take care of.
The day stayed fairly busy for the most part, with no jobs that required a lot of time invested into them. Which Carnavont couldn't help but be grateful for, as the last thing he wanted was to either have to reschedule or cancel the date. The only thing he could really complain about was how agonizingly slow the day felt, even with the number of jobs they got, it was like Lucifer himself knew how nervous he was and was dragging out the day to spite him. When it finally came time to leave for the day Carnavont sighed in relief, bidding his coworkers goodbye before heading back home to get ready for the date.
It didn't take long, a quick shower and a change into a shirt with a pentagram and crossbones on it and some pants, topping it off with a spiked jacket. Carnavont let out a slight sigh, not liking the slight limitations to his wardrobe color wise due ti his crimson fur, it left most things red somewhat out of the question. Oh well, it wasn't too much of a hindrance anyway. Carnavont gave himself another once over, making sure everything was good before heading out to pick up Loona...and a few flowers. He just hoped that Blitz wouldn't be too much of a problem.
Loona went through her closet in a panic, unsure of what to wear, throwing outfit after outfit onto the bed after a quick glance of each. She had absolutely NO idea what to wear, especially considering she didn't know where Carnavont wold be taking her. It certainly didn't help matters that Blitz had tried to keep her locked away in her room all day, until Moxxie and Millie came by and reminded him she was the only one able to use the grimoire and thus let them do their jobs. That had really put her in a mood for the day, more so than usual, with only the thoughts of her first date keeping her just happy enough not to just try and kick Blitz's ass. She didn't even care that she got on his or the other two's nerves with her attitude during the workday, finding it a fitting payback.
She continued to go through various clothes before sighing and saying fuck it as she picked out another dress she owned. It was similar to that of a Chinese dress but with no sleeves and a bit of a turtleneck. Having a slit for her legs and a cut out at the chest with a pentagram made out of strings in the center. It was the best she could do given how close it was for Carnavont arriving, putting the black and red dress on along with long fingerless gloves. Loona sighed, making sure her hair was neat again before hearing a knock at the door. She felt a heat fill her cheeks, nervously checking her eye makeup and fur with her compact as she went to answer the door.
As the door opened Carnavont couldn't help but blush a little as he saw Loona, "Oh...wow...I mean hey."
"Hey..." Loona replied as she blushed. "Did I dress too much? I must've dressed too much since your-"
"Hey, hey..." Carnavont said as he placed a hand on her shoulder, "You look amazing. If anything, it's more my fault for not having great wardrobe options given my coloring and well...these." he lifted up his arm to show the blade like bits of fur that looked similar to the mohawk on his head. "They're not just for show." he chuckled. "Anyway...I uh...got you these…." Carnavont said as he revealed a small bouquet. "I hope you like..." he paused as he noticed Blitz on the couch, tied up and being restrained and gagged by two other imps, he'd be lying if he said the sight didn't bring him some amusement, which he did not hide. "Your coworkers babysitting the asshole?" he commented, smirking as Blitz angrily muffled what he sure was a slew of obscenities and threats.
Loona's tail wagged rapidly at the site of the flowers, blushing more as she took them only to frown slightly upon Carnavont's inquiry. "Yeah, it was the only way for me not to worry about him trying to do anything. These are nice...thanks. I'll go put them up in my room real quick." she said before going to her room.
As she did, Carnavont took a better look of the apartment. It was small, in fact he could only really count one bedroom...the one she went into. Did they share a bedroom? Given what he knew of Loona he highly doubted that, so that meant...did he actually let her have the room to herself? Carnavont felt his begrudging respect for the imp grow a bit more, though he was still an utterly insufferable ass. Still, he was surprised this was all they could afford given their business...but then again, this was hell after all, and imps and hellhounds were treated among the worst of the natural born in hell. His train of thought was interrupted though as the female imp dashed over to him with bright eyes.
"Hi, I'm Millie, you're Loona's boyfriend right? Pleasure to meet ya..." Millie beamed, not caring that Loona had returned, her comment bout him being Loona's boyfriend causing both hellhounds to blush.
"Carnavont, and it's nice to meet you too. You got quite the chipper attitude."
"Well thanks, and don't worry about Blitz here, me and Mox will make sure he doesn't cause any problems, ain't that right Moxxie sweetie?" she said as she looked at Moxxie who was struggling to keep Blitz restrained.
"I wish we were doing anything else..." Moxxie commented. "Oh crumbs..." he added as Blitz nearly toppled him over.
"Excuse me for one moment." Millie said as she ran to help Moxxie. "Now Blitz, this is for you and Loona's own good. Maybe this will help her be better at work. Now if you promise to behave, I'll remove the gag."
Blitz settled for a moment, looking at Millie innocently as though he agreed, letting out a breath once the gag was removed. "Thanks Millie..." he said before angrily looking at Carnavont. "FUCK you! If you touch or try anything with my Loonie, I swear to Satan I'll rip your balls off and-" he was stopped by the gag going back in.
"Fuck you too." Carnavont reciprocated rather nonchalantry before looking to Loona, "So...ready?"
"Yeah..." Loona said, feeling a mixture of embarrassment and anxiousness.
Carnavont smiled, taking her arm as he started to leave with Loona, giving Blitz the middle finger before shutting the door. As they headed towards the exit Carnavont looked over at Loona, "Everything alright?" He asked, noticing she looked ever so slightly uncomfortable.
"Yeah, I'm fine, I'm just sorry you had to see that." Loona apologized. "It was so embarrassing. Especially with Blitz...God he can be the worst."
"Hey, it's fine, nothing I couldn't handle, dealt with far worse guys than him." the crimson hellhound reassured her. "So don't feel bad about. Besides, I've got quite the night planned for us." he smiled.
"Oh?" Loona asked with interest, perking up as her tail started to wag,
"Yeah, I hope you'll like it." Carnavont said as he rubbed the back of his head.
"I'm sure I will." Loona smiled, already looking to be in a better mood.
The two made their way to Carnavont's van, the crimson hellhound opening and then shutting the door for her before getting in and driving. The drive wasn't too long, even for going between rings, especially with Loona requesting if he had any more of his music that she could listen to, to which he was flattered by and appreciated the interest. When they got to the restaurant they got out, Carnavont again getting the door for Loona, and went to get a table and ordering shortly after. It was a rather nice place, wasn't too fancy or cheap, and definitely came across as a place that not only appealed to both Xera and Destra's varied appetites.
"This is a nice place." Loona commented looking at Carnavont with a slightly awkward smile.
"Yeah, though I have to confess that I actually had a little help. Two of my coworkers told me about this place. You might find this hard to believe, but I'm not actually all that experienced with dating." Carnavont said with a slight smile.
"Really?" Loona blinked. "But you seem so cool, not to mention hot...I mean nice!"
Carnavont chuckled. "Well I mean it's kind of my own fault really, never really found quite the time, had the right luck, or really anyone I thought I thought to be interesting or would like to be around until..."
"Until…?" Loona asked.
Carnavont blushed slightly. "Well...I saw you at Tex's party."
Loona felt her face heat up to the point where it was like she'd die on the spot. "R-really?"
"Yeah…" Carnavont said as he continued to blush.
You know Vortex?" Loona asked, trying to calm herself and not make things too awkward.
Carnavont composed himself quickly as he answered. "Yeah, we go back a bit. I mean we haven't known each other all our lives, but we've known each other long enough to be pretty good friends." He replied. "What about you?"
"I uh...guess we're friends?" Loona answered with some unsureness. "I...don't really have friends so I don't really know."
Carnavont offered her a smile. "That seems odd, I would think a girl like you would have plenty of friends, you're pretty cool after all."
Loona blinked, tail wagging as she blushed. "Thanks, but...I don't. When you lived as long as I did in the orphanage you..."
"Develop a thick skin to not get hurt?" Carnavont half remarked.
"Yeah." Loona nodded. "What about you, were you in an orphanage, Or were your parents just pieces of shit?" She asked, remembering his comment at the party.
"Hard to say when it comes to my parents, I don't really know the reason why I was left at an orphanage, nor do I really care at this point." Carnavont shrugged. "If they wanted me, they would have shown by now. And as for the orphanage, escaped that place as soon as I could, no way in hell was I going to be "adopted" as some product to be used so I ran away as soon as I could."
"You ran away?" Loona asked with some slight awe and interest. "How did you survive?"
"Fell into a gang, they pretty much became my family to a degree. From there I started up my own band and well, you see where I am now." Carnavont explained.
Loona blinked as she looked at him in a way that, if she was more aware of it, felt similar to how she looked at Vortex when she first met him."You're so cool…"
"Thanks, I do try." Carnavont chuckled.
Loona giggled slightly. "So, why didn't you continue with your band? From what I've heard you were pretty good."
Carnavont shrugged, "I mean it's not like I didn't want to, it's just that my band was being overlooked a lot for others that were admittedly drawing a bit more of a crowd. That, and I just really wanted to start a professional business. We hellhounds don't get many opportunities, so when I was offered the ability to run my business, I just couldn't turn it down. Plus, it's not like I don't keep up with them, we still play here and there."
"Can I hear you live sometime?" Loona requested.
"I don't see why not." Carnavont shrugged. "I can let you know next time we get together for a gig or something."
"Thanks!" Loona smiled.
"No problem." Carnavont smiled back. "By the way, how was your day?" He asked.
"It was...alright. Fucking Blitz tried to lock me and my room the whole day, then fatty and his wife managed to convince him that they needed me to do their job. Honestly, I wouldn't have minded the day off, fuck my job. I honestly don't regret making the day hard for them." Loona grumbled.
"Do you really hate working for IMP that much?" Carnavont asked. "I mean I wouldn't blame you what with Blitz being your boss."
"Yes." Loona replied bluntly. "I mean they are so incompetent; can you believe they have been going to the Earth WITHOUT disguises?" She stated in some exasperation. "Just running around like a bunch of fucking losers while I'm stuck at a fucking desk as a glorified receptionist. And don't even get me started on that small dick loser nerd of an imp, he's such a pathetic tight ass and pushover. I honestly don't see how Millie even likes him."
"Some girls just like beta males I guess, he seems like the kinda guy that's the bottom more often than not, and the one receiving."
Loona chuckle. "You got that right, the guy's a total lame ass."
"Do you wish you could be out doing field work with them or is it you just don't like working there period?" Carnavont inquired. "If you don't mind me asking..."
"Well...kinda?" Loona replied, not entirely sure how to do so despite hating that Blitz wasn;t taking account of how helpful she could be. "I mean Blitz smothers me so much and he doesn't even see that I'm too old for him to treat me like a fucking child. I can handle myself and fight, I just wish he could see that."
"Well, he is kind of an idiot to not see your old enough and capable of doing more." Carnavont remarked. "I mean, we are hellhounds, we're stronger than imps and are far more capable in tracking among other things."
"Exactly!" Loona exclaimed. "But all he sees is his little precious loonie, I hate it."
"Well one thing's for sure, I know I'd appreciate having someone like you on my team." Carnavont said, offering Loona a warm smile.
Loona blushed, tail wagging faster as she perked up a bit. "You mean that?"
Carnavont nodded. "Of course." He replied. "If you say you're capable of doing so I don't see why you shouldn't be out in the field if that's what you want."
Loona smiled. "Thank you."
Carnavont blushed, feeling his heart beat a bit faster at how cute she looked. "No problem..." He replied as he rubbed the back of his head.
When they had finished their meal they headed back to the van, Carnavont once more being a gentleman and opening and closing the door for Loona. It was a quality of his that his backer rather liked about him, possibly another reason why he decided to help the hellhound out other than just pure bored amusement. "So, where do you have in mind now?" Loona asked as Carnavont got into the driver seat.
"Oh, I have somewhere in mind, I think you might like it." Carnavont said as he started his van
"Is it a surprise?" Loona inquired.
Carnavont smiled slightly. "Kind of, yeah." He replied began to drive, heading to a park that wasn't too far away.
"A park?" Loona asked curiously.
"Well, kind of. I figured we could have a nice stroll under the night sky...if you'd like to that is."
Loona smiled faintly, "Sure...but what do you mean by kind of?" She asked.
"You'll see." Carnavont said with a smile before he and Loona got out of the van. He proceeded to take her hand, smiling as he walked with her through the park.
Loona could feel her heart racing a bit, he had been so nice and honestly, quite charming. He listened to her, got her. It was almost unbelievable how nice of a guy he was. And yet, she felt quite comfortable around him because of that fact, able to let him know how she felt. She just hoped that he was as good as he seemed, she had been already too hurt before, but not romantically. She wasn't sure if she could handle that, she might just shut herself off fully if that were to happen.
She couldn't help but look up at him often, taking in his scars and eyes. They were unique for a hellhound; in fact, she didn't think she had ever seen or heard of one with two different colored sclera before. She moved a bit closer to him, wanting to be as close as she could without being too close to make it awkward. "By the way..." she said as she looked at him, "I've been wondering, did those scars come from job or...?"
"Oh, these? Got em during my gang days."
"They're nice...make you look hot...I mean cool!" Loona said as she got flustered.
The crimson hellhound chuckled a bit, "Thanks, you look pretty hot yourself, especially with how you have your hair."
"R-really?" Loona asked as she blushed.
"Yeah." Carnavont replied before coming to a stop in a somewhat secluded area. "Here we are, I figured I'd treat you to something special."
"Special?" Loona asked as she looked around, wondering just what the crimson hellhound had in mind.
"Yeah." he said before he started to make symbols with his hand, casting a portal spell and opening up a portal to a secluded forest area on Earth that had a nice area to view the stars and moon. "I figured you'd enjoy a nice little moonlit view."
Loona blinked. "You can open a portal without a grimoire?" She asked in slight surprise.
"Yeah, I memorized the spell." Carnavont replied.
"Weird, I always have to use the grimoire Blitz gets to use….Why didn't you just use that to get us around?"
"My backer doesn't have a grimoire...but some of the shit they can do is...unnerving to say the least. And as for why I didn't use it before...I didn't want things to go by too quickly, didn't seem like I wanted to rush through it. Plus...I wanted to enjoy as much time as I could with you."
"Loona blushed profusely. "Oh...really?"
"Yeah." Carnavont said before bowing. "Shall we?"
Blitz continued to struggle as he stayed restrained by Millie and Moxxie, still furious about the whole ordeal. He had no idea what was going on with Loona and that dick of a hellhound and he absolutely HATED it, and it showed. Though at this point he had just stopped struggling and was fuming, looking at Millie and Moxxie as they kept an eye on him.
Millie walked over to him, "Now Blitz, I know you're mad and rightfully worried. But I'll make you a deal, you promise to behave and I'll call Stolas over to let you see how their date is going." she offered as she pulled the grimoire out of her backpack.
Blitz sighed in frustration, nodding that he agreed to the terms. Millie smiled, going to get Blitz's phone and pulling up Stolas' number and calling it. She didn't want to ungag Blitz yet, preferring to want to explain it to Stolas so that the prince might help them out.
"Oh, hell Blitzy." Stolas greeted. "I wasn't expecting you to-"
"Hi mister Stolas sir, it's Millie." Millie greeted.
Stolas blinked, thinking a moment before replying. "Ah yes I remember, one of the imps under his employee, helped bodyguard me and my Via when we went to LooLoo land." Stolas commented. "But what are you doing with Blitz' phone?"
"Well sir, we kind of had to...umm...help keep him from doing something crazy involving Loona." Millie explained "But he's promised to behave if we let him view how her date was going through your grimoire, so I was wonderin if..."
"I'd swing by to cast a viewing spell; Can you not cast it?" Stolas asked inquisitively.
"Well...no." Millie admitted. "None of us can, it's only Loona that can do anything from your grimoire."
"I see…" Stolas remarked. "Well, as a father myself I can understand where he's coming from. Very well, I'll be right there."
"Thank you so much sir." Millie thanked the prince.
"Not a problem my dear." Stolas said before hanging up, quickly getting dressed before opening up a portal to Blitz's apartment and stepping through. "Oh my, you must really have been in a mood. That or you wanted to surprise me with a nice gift." Stolas chuckled as he saw the sight of Blitzo bound and gagged, only to awkwardly rub the back of his head and cough as Blitz shot him a look. "Now then, the book if you'd please." He requested as he looked at Moxxie and Millie. "Oh, and maybe ungag him please? This spell won't really have any means to let any of us have any interaction with what we'll see."
"Right-o!" Millie said cheerily before removing the gag from Blitz.
Blitz' expression stayed somewhat soured as he looked at Millie "Oh satandammit Mills, I swear to Satan if you weren't so good at your job I'd-"
"Now Blitzy, I'm sure she was just looking out for your and Loona's best interest. A happy hellhound is a productive hellhound after all."
Blitz narrowed his eyes as he looked at Stolas. "...She's my daughter."
"Sorry, force of habit." Stolas apologized. "But the point still stands."
"Whatever...just cast the spell." Blitz muttered.
"Right." he said as he flicked his wrist, the grimoire starting to levitate as it opened up. Stolas then proceeded to cast the viewing spell, telling it they wished to observe Blitz's daughter Loona. The room became enveloped in magic, showing them the secluded area of the park and Carnavont casting a spell that opened up to a part of Earth. "Oh my, a hellhound that can cast a spell without a grimoire...that's something you don't see everyday, who is he?"
"A pain in my ass, and where the FUCK is he taking my Loonie?!" Blitz shouted.
"That's Carnavont, he runs an assassination business called the hellhound organization for untimely and necessary deaths." Millie explained. "Loona met him at a party, he's rather nice."
"I see...a hellhound with his own business too, will wonders never cease? I also like the name, Hound, it's clever. Well, whoever is backing him must have some strong spells and trust him a fair bit to allow him to cast such spells without a grimoire. And he does seem nice." Stolas commented as he watched the crimson hellhound invitingly bow for Loona to step through the portal. "Maybe you're overreacting Blitzy."
"Fuck that, the guy's an asshole and I'm going to kill him!" Blitz fumed as he and the others watched Carnavont follow Loona through the portal and their view shifted to Earth to keep with them.
"Why a forest?" Loona asked as she looked around. "I mean it's a good view but why?"
"I just thought you'd enjoy being on Earth somewhere where you don't need to use a disguise so we can enjoy the night sky." Carnavont explained as he walked over to a clearing where the moon could be best seen, stretching out his hand to her. "And a bit of a moonlit dance."
Loona blushed as she moved to take his hand, letting him lead her in a dance. "You thought of everything it seems."
"Yeah, well, I just thought that this would be something you might like. We can come to Earth every so often if you like, run around, maybe kill a few unsuspecting people, then just enjoy other parts of Earth. That is...if you'd be down for another date or two." He offered with a blush.
Loona blinked, blushing as well as she looked at him. "I'd...I'd like that."
"Great!" Carnavont said with a smile, continuing the dance a bit longer before stopping as he held her close. "You know, while you and the moon might share a name, there's one thing you don't have in common."
"What's that?" Loona asked softly as she looked at Carnavont, her eyes shimmering a bit.
"Beauty. I'd rather be looking at you than this night sky and full moon." Carnavont said with a smile.
"Damn, he's good." Millie commented. "He might have you beat Moxx." she teased.
"Please, I can do better." Moxxie commented.
"I know hun." Millie giggled as she kissed his cheek.
"Awe how romantic!" Stolas exclaimed. "It's just like one of my shows...Blitzy, I'd love for us to dance under the moon."
"He better stop touching her and stop right there before I REALLY try to kill him." Blitz threatened.
Loona blushed profusely, feeling her heart race faster as she looked at Carnavont, those words had caused her to be utterly stunned in a state of infatuation as she felt like she'd melt at any second. "Really?"
"Really." Carnavont said as the two started to lean in closer to each other, their lips meeting as they started to kiss. It wasn't too long before it got rather deep, Loona even jumping up and wrapping her legs around him.
"Wooo! Yea! Eat his face girl!" Millie cheered as she watched, Stolas just as wrapped up in it as she was while Blitz could only look in utter horrified shock.
"I'll kill him! I'll fucking rip out his tongue and-" Blitz was again gagged by Millie before he could continue.
"Now Blitzy, behave. I don't see what all the fuss is about, she is of age after all, you have to let her live her life." Stolas said, only to blink as Blitz muffled something. "What was that?" He asked as he removed the gag.
"I said, what if it was your daughter?" Blitz asked.
Stolas blinked. "I uh...well...it….depends on the person she's decided to date. And besides, it is kind of expected for her to find someone and become a duchess..."
"Bullshit, you'd hire us to off the guy and you know it!" Blitz argued.
"NO! No, no no no no no no no! Not kill him!" Stolas protested. "Maybe survey him….and their dates…."
"And then kill him if he made a move on her." Blitz stated.
Stolas blinked as he was caught a bit off guard by the question. "I...well...maybe just….make him unable to date her? If he proved insufficient."
Blitz narrowed his eyes slightly before rolling them. "Uh huh...keep telling yourself that."
"Look, as her father I have to look after her, just like you have to look after yours. But she's younger than Loona and after Loo Loo land I...I'm trying not to upset her or push her away; so I think I'd try at least. So please, won't you do the same for your daughter? So you don't end up estranged like I am with Via?"
Blitz looked away for a moment. "….I'll think about it. But he does ANYTHING and I'm killing him."
"Thank you Blitzy.~" Stolas said as he kissed Blitz's cheek.
"Yeah yeah...But I'm not promising to like him or anything." Blitz scowled.
When the kiss came to an end Carnavont and Loona looked at each other, blushing profusely as they caught their breath. Their hearts were racing, time itself seemingly standing still as they looked at each other. "W-wow..." Carnavont managed to say after a few seconds.
"Y-yeah..." Loona said as she looked at him before blushing more. "Oh god I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to get carried away!"
"It's fine!" Carnavont smiled, his cheeks getting hotter as he blushed more. "I...really enjoyed it." He reassured as the two blushed, looking at each other, not even seemingly caring he was still holding her with her legs around him.
"I did too..." Loona said with a smile. "Oh, sorry!" She said as she unwrapped her legs from him, standing back on the ground.
"It's getting pretty late...we should probably…" Carnavont remarked.
"Yeah…" Loona agreed.
Carnavont smiled, he and Loona lingering a little bit more before they separated slightly, allowing him to open the portal again. They stepped through and headed back to his van, getting in and driving back to the pride ring and the apartment Blitz and her lived in. As they did, Stolas quickly stopped the spell before opening a portal to leave, Millie thanking him for the help as he stepped through and bidding farewell. When Carnavont and Loona got back to the apartment he got out of the van and opened the door for her as she got out.
"Thanks for the date...I had fun." Loona said with a bashful smile.
"That's good to hear, so did I. Would you...be up for another?" Carnavont asked.
She smiled, walking up to him and kissing his cheek. "I'd love to."
"Great, I'll let you know when I'm free….and uh...call you sometime?" Carnavont offered. "If you wouldn't mind."
"I wouldn't." Loona said with a slight blush. "Call me whenever you want."
"Cool...cool." Carnavont said with a smile. "I'll uh...see you around then."
"Yeah...see ya." Loona smiled back before entering the apartment building, all the while still glancing at Carnavont.
Carnavont got back in his van, letting out a sigh of relief as he felt utter joy fill his body, his tail wagging almost uncontrollably. He could hardly believe it went as well as it did, let alone that she was interested in another date. And that kiss...oh that kiss was the best thing he had experienced in his life. He was so relieved he hadn't blown it, and now he had another potential date to look forward to with her.
He drove off, heading home to rest for the next day with a smile on his face. There was nothing that could bring him down off this high, not even the thought of having to deal with Blitz more. Whatever hell he might go through with the imp was worth it. Still, there was an ever-present slight worry lingering in the back of his mind, he just hoped that it was nothing and that things continued to go well.
