Authors Note: Hey Everyone! I never planned for this long of a delay. As I said in the last Chapter I was having trouble with my health. It took longer to recover than I thought and even my doctor was surprised. But I am finally feeling better. The best I have felt in years! Now that I am feeling better I have started writing again so here is the 2nd Part of the Anniversary Chapter! I hope you enjoy it and I am VERY sorry for the delay! Chapter 46

Time To Run Part 2

Alan: Good news I found another way to locate Simon and I am positive I found him!

Sam: That's great news!

Paul: Yeah, it's great news aright but how did you do? He says in a stern tone.

Alan: Easy I just "accessed" some of the local Internet Providers data and found out who's name was on the account that had that unique form of encryption.

Paul: Alan you crossed a line! You where…..

Alan: Look here is the info. Do what you will with me but a "James Smith" opened an account the same day Simon was kidnapped and it's for an old warehouse. Trust me Simon is at this address. He says as he gives Sam the paper with the address.

Sam: I trust you. I will go tell the chief. Paul get ready to move out.

Paul: Very well. Alan, I am leaving you here for now. Don't leave this station.

Alan: As you wish.

Sam: Chief we think we found Simon!

Chief: Excellent!

Sam: I will go get my gear while you assemble everyone, sir.

Chief: No Sam I am letting you run point on this. You have been on this case since Day 1. It's only right you see it through.

Sam: But sir I have never led point on something this big!

Chief: Well here is your chance. I know you will do well. So, go assemble YOUR team.

Sam: Thank you, sir! He says smiling.

Sam gathers all of the officers in the station and radios all units to standby for a message.

Sam: We believe we have located Simon. He is in an old warehouse in the business district. Our goal is to surround the building then raid it and recover Simon. For those of you on the radio, I want you to cover all of the roads out of town. Stop anything that is suspicious.

Chief: Sam will be taking point on this. You are to obey his orders as if it was me giving them. Understood?

Everyone: Understood Sir!

Sam: Ok everyone you have your orders. Move out!

Sam and his team begin making their way to the location that Alan pinpointed.

Back to Simon:

Benjamin: Just up ahead is a good place to dump Simon's body.

Robert: Good I will feel a lot better when that corps is out of our lives.

They reach the dumpsite.

Scarlet: Ok Benjamin go dump his body. But make sure you don't leave any evidence that can be linked back to us!

Benjamin: I know. He says as he opens the door.

Benjamin then picks Simon up and carries him into the tall grass.

Benjamin: Simon I don't know if you can hear me but help will be here soon! He says whispering into his ear.

Scarlet: LET GO ALREADY!

Benjamin then pulls Simon's phone out of his pocket and turns it on.

Benjamin: I am sorry about all of this Simon! He then lays the phone down next to Simon and runs back to the van.

Robert: How long does it take to dump a body!?

Benjamin: Sorry! I have never done this before!

Robert then steps on the gas. Gravel goes flying.

Benjamin: Slow down! You want to get someone's attention!

Scarlet: He's right. Now that Simon is gone we no longer have any evidence linking us to his kidnapping.

Robert: Yeah your right.

Back to Simon:

Simon: I'm fin…. finally, free. Cough, Cough, Cough!

Simon begins to cough up a large amount of blood before he passes out again.

Back to Sam:

Sam: Is everyone in position!?

Officers: Yes Sir!

Sam: Alright move in now!

The police officers then break in a door and everyone then starts heading inside.

Right side clear!

Left side clear!

No one is here sir!

Sam: Damn it!

Sam then notices the table in the middle of the room.

Sam: Blood…. Simon's blood. They haven't been gone long!

Back to The Kidnappers:

Benjamin: Your speeding again!

Robert: Shut up! No one is around! He says as he makes a sharp turn.

Robert: Just stay qui….. Damn it! He says as he sees flashing light in the mirror

Scarlet: What's wrong!?

Robert: Cops!

Scarlet: WHAT!?

Benjamin: Just pull over and act calm and normal. We have nothing on us linking us to Simon. The worst that will happen is a speeding ticket but only if you remain calm.

Robert: I'm not pulling over! I bet I can lose him.

Scarlet: PULL OVER! WE ARE NOT GOING ON A HIGH-SPEED CHASE AND RISK LOSING IT ALL!

Robert: FINE! He says pulling off the road.

The police officer turns his siren off but leaves his lights on.

Officer 11: This is Officer 11 I have just pulled over a van speeding and driving recklessly on a back road leading out of town. Please advise on what to do. He says talking over the radio.

Sam: Just check them out. If they have nothing linking them to Simon give them a ticket and send them on. Let us know if you need back up.

Officer 11: Will do.

Officer 11 then gets out of his car and walks over to the van.

Officer 11: Buddy do you have any idea how dangerous your driving is!?

Robert: I apologize, sir. I just didn't realize how fast I was going.

Officer 11: A likely story. I am going to need to search your van.

Robert: WHAT FOR!? I mean what for officer?

The officer then raises an eyebrow.

There has been a rise in drug smuggling.

Robert: Oh well I can understand that. Search all you want. He says with a sigh of relief in his voice.

The officer then heads to the back of the van and opens the doors.

Benjamin: Hello. Let me know if I am in your way.

Benjamin: HELP ME! HELP ME! He says quietly mouthing to the officer.

Officer 11: You're fine where you're at.

Back at the station:

Alan: Sam have you located Simon yet?

Sam: Alan what are you doing on our radios!?

Alan: I wanted to see if I correctly identified where Simon is.

Sam: Yes and no. Simon was here but he and his kidnappers are gone. Now if you don't mind I need…

Alan: Gotta go. Alan then gets off the radio.

Alan: Now let's see if Simon's phone will ping now that they are out of that warehouse. He says talking to himself.

System: Searching, Searching, Searching, Searching. Ping complete. Phone Located.

Alan: Got ya!

Alan: Sam are you there!?

Sam: Alan keep off our radios!

Alan: Simon's phone is pinging again.

Sam: WHAT!? WERE!?

Alan: A few miles outside of town. That's all I can tell you.

Sam: I know where he is at! Gotta go Alan!

Alan: How rude. He says chuckling.

Sam: Officer 11 please check-in. I repeat Officer 11 please check-in.

Officer 11: Standby.

Robert: Are we good to go?

Officer 11: Not yet. I need to run some info through the computer then you will be free to go.

Officer 11 then heads back to his car.

Officer 11: This is Officer 11 checking in.

Sam: Do you still have that van stopped?

Officer 11: Affirmative.

Sam: Do not let them leave! We believe they are connected to Simon's kidnapping. We are on our way now to provide you with backup!

Officer 11: I understand.

The officer then gets out of his car and walks back to the van.

Officer 11: The computer is running slow being so far out of town. I am going to have to ask you to step out of the van and perform a sobriety test.

Robert: I can assure you I am not under the influence sir.

Officer 11: Good then you will pass the test easily. He says smirking.

Robert: But…..

Scarlet: Go on "DEAR" do what the officer says.

Robert: Ok "SWEETHEART".

Robert gets out of the van and begins taking a sobriety test.

Back to Sam:

Paul: Sam if these are the kidnappers what do you think they have done with Simon?

Sam: I don't even want to think about that yet. We will be there in a few minutes. After that, I will begin thinking the worst but till then….

Paul: I understand.

Sam and Paul along with the other officers turn onto the dirt road leading out of town.

Back to the kidnappers:

Scarlet: Why is this taking so long!?

Benjamin: It's because of the way he was driving and the drug smuggling. They want to make sure he is not part of the drug smuggling. Don't be surprised if they make us do it do.

Scarlet: That idiot! I swear if he costs us…

Benjamin: Scarlet just stay calm. If that officer suspects anything and calls for backup you know what will happen.

Scarlet lets out an angry sigh.

Scarlet: Very well.

Benjamin: I wish I knew if that officer picked up on my signal for help. I just want to bust out of this van and say we are the kidnappers but Scarlet and Robert could overpower this officer. I guess I will just have to wait and see. He says thinking to himself.

All of a sudden sirens are heard off in the distance.

Scarlet: Oh no! We have to go!

Scarlet then moves over to the driver's seat.

Benjamin: Oh no you don't!

Benjamin wraps his arm around Scarlet's neck and begins choking her.

Scarlet: WHAT…ARE….YOU…..DOING!? She says gasping for breath.

Benjamin: Stopping you! You are Robert are going to pay for what you have done to Simon!

Scarlet: DON'T…YOU CARE…..WHAT WE DO…..TO…..!? She says still gasping for breath.

Benjamin: No, I don't! Want proof!? Officer! These two are involved in the kidnapping of Simon Seville! Arrest him now I have this one!

Officer 11 then pulls out his gun.

Officer 11: Hands-on your head and knees on the ground!

Robert: BENJAMIN YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS! He says in an extremely angry tone

Benjamin: I have been paying for this since the day I met you two! Now it's time for both of you to pay!

Just then Sam and Paul pull up.

Officer 11: There are two in the truck!

Sam and Paul race over to the truck.

Sam: Both of you are under arrest! Step out of the van!

Benjamin finally let's go of Scarlet.

Benjamin: It's finally over!

Paul opens the door of the van. Scarlet steps out rubbing her neck and trying to catch her breath. Benjamin follows behind.

Sam: Where is Simon!?

Benjamin: Just down the road. I can take you and show you.

Paul: Why should we trust you?

Sam: Wait a minute Paul. He says holding his hand up.

Paul: What is it, Sam?

Sam: Have we met before?

Benjamin: It's been a long time Sam, Paul. He says nodding his head at Paul.

Paul: How do you know my name?

Sam: Paul this is Benjamin! We attended Police Academy with him!

Paul: I remember now! But what are you doing with the kidnappers?

Benjamin: It's a long story that we don't have time for. We have to get to Simon NOW! After what Scarlet did to him he could very well be dead.

Sam: Ok let's go!

Sam, Paul, and Benjamin get in Sam's police car and race off to go get Simon.
