Authors Note: Hey Everyone! Today is the 5th anniversary of this story! How life has changed for me in the past 5 years. I have been thinking back to when I first started this story. I had a lot more creativity and time. Just writing this Chapter took almost 4 months. I am going to try my best here in 2023 to put out some more Chapters instead of just one a year. I know I have said this before but I feel like some of my creativity may possibly be starting to come back to me. Honestly, I really want to get working on The Sequel to this. I have been writing bits and pieces of it over the years but I can't write the start of it because I can't decide how I want this story to "end". Maybe there is only a couple of Chapters left, or maybe there are several only time will tell. But I want to tell EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU THANK YOU! I never in a million years thought I would write anything like this but Alvon is something that just sparked my interest 6 years ago and so I decided to write my own story. I know that I haven't had an Alvon love scene in a LONG time but the story will get back to it I promise! Once again THANK YOU everyone for your support over the past 5 years! It has been an INCREDIBLE experience and I have you guys to thank for that! So here you go the 5 Year anniversary Chapter! :D

Chapter 51

Alvin's Escape

(5th Anniversary Chapter)

Alvin's Room:

Alvin slowly begins to wake up.

Alvin: Well, that was a good little nap. He says stretching. I guess Theo must have left once I fell asleep. I can't blame him. I want to be with Simon too. Surely, he is out of surgery by now. But where would he be? Wait Theo said Simon was hurt badly so I bet he is being held in the ICU!

Alvin then throws the blanket's off and moves over to the side of the bed.

Alvin: Wow this is already making me tired. But I have to be strong for Simon!

Alvin then grabs onto the IV Pole and hops down off the bed. His legs being to wobble.

Alvin: I HAVE TO DO THIS!

He then takes a step followed by another while holding onto the IV Pole.

Alvin: I CAN DO THIS! He says using what little strength he has.

Alvin finally makes it to the door.

Alvin: My strength is gone! Damn it! He says collapsing onto the floor. I just want to see Simon! He says starting to tear up. I don't care if I have to crawl my way there, I WILL see him, I just have to get this door open!

Alvin grabs hold of the door foot pull and manages to open it enough to get out.

Alvin: Now how do I get to the ICU? Left looks good to me. He says thinking to himself.

Alvin then begins crawling down the hallway looking for the ICU.

Back to the waiting room.

Bobby: Dave I am hungry can we get something to eat?

Dave laughs

Dave: You know it's really funny hearing someone besides Theodore saying they are hungry.

Theodore grins at the remark.

Dave: But you know what Bobby I am hungry myself there is a little restaurant just across the street. How about we go there for dinner?

Bobby: Sounds good to me!

Theodore: Is it really all right to go and eat with Alvin and Simon in the hospital? I kinda feel guilty leaving them here and we are out having a good time.

Dave smiles at Theodore.

Dave: Theodore we still have to take care of ourselves even if they are in the hospital. There is only so long we can live off of vending machines and besides, it's not like we are celebrating. We are going to just have dinner and come back.

Theodore: Well, I guess you're right. Just because we are going out doesn't mean it's anything special. It's just a meal.

Dave: Exactly. Trust me when they are out, we will celebrate big time! He says smiling.

Bobby: Then it's settled off we go! He says running down the hall.

Dave and Theodore laugh and go off to catch up with Bobby.

At the restaurant:

Waitress: Welcome and Good Evening! Have a seat wherever you like and I will be right with you!

Dave: Thank you. Where would you boys like to sit?

Bobby: How about that big round booth in the corner!? He says eagerly.

Theodore: Works for me!

Dave: Do we really need a big booth for just the….. Never mind we will need all that room for the food you 2 will be ordering. He says chuckling.

The trio then sits down and begins looking at the menu.

The door then opens and The Waitress greets the new customers.

Waitress: Welcome and Good Evening! Have a seat wherever you like and I will be right with you!

The customers then walk over to the booth where Dave, Theodore, and Bobby are at.

Paul: Got room for 2 more?

Bobby: DAD! He says leaping out of his seat and giving his dad a hug. How did you know we were here!?

Paul: We finished up for the day and we were getting ready to go to the hospital but then saw you guys come over here.

Bobby: Please don't make me leave dad! I am STARVING!

Everyone gets a good laugh out of Bobby's response.

Paul: I am just as hungry as you son so we are staying for dinner.

Bobby: Sweet! Thanks, dad!

Sam and Paul sit down and begin to look at the menu.

Sam: I am not sure what I even want to eat.

Theodore: I once heard that this place has the best Cheeseburgers in the whole state so I think that's what I will get.

Sam: Well, if they are the best in the state, I better try one.

Paul: I will too.

Bobby: Why don't we all just have Cheeseburgers then! He says excitedly.

Paul: Now Bobby we don't all have to order the same thing.

Dave: I agree with Bobby. I think we should all try these Cheeseburgers.

Paul lets out a chuckle.

Bobby: Ok I guess it's settled then!

Just then the waitress walks over.

Waitress: Now what will you fine gentlemen be having this evening?

Dave: I believe we have all settled on the Cheeseburgers.

Waitress: Now that comes with a side of Tater Tots or Fries.

Theodore and Bobby both select the Tater Tots while Dave, Sam, and Paul go with the fries.

Waitress: I will be back with your food soon!

Dave: So can I ask how is the investigation going?

Sam: Well Benjamin had clouded judgment.

Theodore: What do you mean? He helped save Simon. I don't understand how his judgment could be clouded if he saved Simon.

Sam: Well Theodore that is an excellent question. Benjamin is…. Was a police officer but Scarlet and Robert blackmailed him. They told him if he didn't help his family would be in danger. He refused at first but they eventually managed to get him to join their team once they told him they would make payments to his family if he quit his job and came to work for them.

Bobby: But that still doesn't answer Theodores's question. Benjamin helped save Simon.

Paul: Bobby, Theodore, I think you guys are a little young to understand everything. Benjamin did help save Simon but that will only go so far once this goes to court. The best Benjamin can hope for is a lighter sentence. He will still face jail time and even though he did save Simon he helped Kidnap him and helped Scarlet and Robert with inside knowledge on how to evade capture. The list just goes on.

The waitress then brings out the food.

Waitress: Here you all go! Enjoy!

Dave: Well I think that is enough talk for now. Let eat!

Theodore and Bobby: AGGRED!

Back to The Hospital:

A nurse goes in to check on Alvin.

Nurse: Alvin? Alvin are you in here!?

The Nurse then runs down to the nurse's station and picks up the phone to alert Hospital administrators to what has happened.

Back to Alvin:

Alvin: Finally, a sign that tells me the way to the ICU! Oh no, you have to be joking! I went the wrong way! Damn it! As Alvin begins turning around the Intercom comes on.

Intercom: CODE PURPLE I REPEAT CODE PURPLE.

Alvin: I wonder if that means…..

Dr. Riley: ALVINNNNNNNN!

Alvin: Yep missing kid….. Oh hey, Dr. Riley. He says weakly chuckling.

Dr. Riley: Your family tried to warn me you would try something like this but I never thought you would actually do it! You are getting right back into your bed young man!

Just then Nurses arrive with a wheelchair.

Dr. Riley: Let's get you into this chair.

Alvin: I refuse.

Dr. Riley then gets down and sits on the floor with Alvin.

Dr. Riley: Alvin you are still in serious condition. Why is it so important for you to leave the hospital?

Alvin: I am not trying to leave I am trying to get to Simon. I just simply made a wrong turn.

Dr. Riley: You must really care for your brother to risk your own life to see him. She says putting her hand on his back.

Alvin: I care for both of my brothers more than anything in the world. I don't care if it kills me I will see Simon.

Dr. Riley: Well Alvin as a Doctor I cannot allow you to risk your life.

Alvin: But…..

Dr. Riley: BUT as a Doctor, I can make a transfer where you and Simon are in the same ICU room.

Alvin: DO YOU REALLY MEAN IT!?

Dr. Riley Smiles back at Alvin.

Dr. Riley: Of course, I do. But once I do this I expect you to rest so you can recover. Understand?

Alvin: Dr. Riley: If it means getting to be with Simon again I will do anything!

Dr. Riley: Ok then. Nurses please go and check Alvin over and make sure he hasn't injured anything else while I go and make the ICU arrangements and cancel the Code Purple.

They then lift Alvin into the Wheelchair to go check him over.

Back at the restaurant:

Theodore: This meal really was the best!

Sam: Yes, it really hit the spot!

Dave: Well, how about I go pay the check and we head back to this hospital.

Waitress: Your meal is on the house!

Dave: Well Thank you but why is that?

Waitress: All of us have been watching the news. We all know what has been going on with The Chipmunk Family. It is the least we can do!

Dave: Thank you that means a lot.

Everyone then gets up and walks out of the restaurant.
