Authors Note: Hey Everyone! This Chapter is on the shorter side but I wanted to publish this to tell you about something that I am thinking about doing but 1st a little background into what's been going on with me. Recently I decided to take a step back and look at my life and it made me realize something. I was living in the past and kept wanting things to stay the same or go back to the way they were before. My friends had been warning me for some time about this but I choose to ignore them and keep doing what made me happy in the moment. Well, things that were out of my control began changing things and not for the better. That happiness in the moment dried up and I very quickly became depressed and miserable and the warnings my friends had been giving me were soon staring me right in the face. So I have slowly been making changes in my life and like they say change is hard but these changes are just what I needed in my life. So here is what I have been thinking about doing I think I am going to start a new story but for the first time ever it won't be about Alvin and The Chipmunks it will be about South Park. Don't worry even though I have been making changes in my life Alvin and The Chipmunks are still a part of my life, so I'm not giving up on this story. I'll still be working on it, and there will definitely be a sequel. I just need to try to mix things up a bit, you know? I don't even know yet if I will be able to write enough to publish it. But that same feeling I got when I first started this story is back so I feel I should at least give it a shot! :)

Chapter 52

Reunited

Just then, Dave's phone rings,

Dave: Hello?

Nurse: Dave, this is the hospital calling about Alvin.

Dave's heart starts racing, fearing that something may have happened to Alvin or Simon.

Dave: Is everything okay? What's going on?

Nurse: Alvin has left his room and we cannot find him.

Dave takes a deep breath and tries to calm himself down.

Dave: We will be right there!

Dave hangs up the phone and rushes back to the table.

Dave: Guys, we have a problem. Alvin has left his room and the hospital staff can't find him.

Bobby: What? Is he okay!?

Dave: I don't know, but we have to go find him.

They all rush back over to the hospital

Theodore: Where do we even start Dave?

Dave: Let's split up. Bobby and Theodore, you check the ground floor and the waiting room. Paul, Sam and I will check the upper floors.

Everyone nods in agreement but before they can go search, they are stopped by Dr. Riley

Dr. Riley: I see you got the call before I could cancel the Code Purple.

Theodore: Cancel does that mean you found him!?

Dr. Riley: Yes, he is being checked over now to see if he did any more harm to himself other than overexertion.

Dave: What happened?

Dr. Riley: He became very desperate to see Simon and was attempting to make his way to the ICU but he took a wrong turn. We found him pretty quickly but he initially refused treatment.

Bobby: Why would he do that?

Paul: Bobby…

Bobby: What?

Dr. Riley: Well, we were going to take him back to his room but after talking to Alvin and hearing how much he cares for his brothers and how desperate he was to see Simon I decided that the best thing would be to put him and Simon in the same ICU room. He then agreed to get checked out while I made arrangements for him to be transferred.

A nurse then comes to Dr. Riley.

Nurse: Dr. Riley we have finished looking over Alvin. He is just experiencing exhaustion. Would you like me to take him to Simon's Room?

Dr. Riley: No, we will take him instead.

The nurse nods her head and walks off.

Dr. Riley: Well should we all go get Alvin?

Everyone agrees and they set off to go get Alvin.

As Dave, Theodore, Sam, Paul, and Bobby enter the room behind Dr. Riley they find Alvin, lying in bed, looking weak and tired.

Dave: Alvin, are you okay?

Alvin looks up at them, tears streaming down his face.

Alvin: I'm sorry, I just wanted to see Simon.

Dave: It's okay, Alvin. We understand and we are getting ready to take you to see him.

They help Alvin to his feet and get him in a wheelchair and make their way to the ICU. When they arrive, they are greeted by a nurse who escorts them to Simon's room.

As they enter, they see Simon lying in bed, hooked up to various machines. They push Alvin over to Simon's side and Alvin takes his hand.

Alvin: Simon!

Dave, Theodore, Sam, Paul, and Bobby then stand back, giving Alvin and Simon some space.

Alvin: I love you, Simon! I knew I would see you again! He says with tears once again streaming down his face.

The group stands in silence for a few moments, watching the two brothers share a tender moment.

Dave: We should probably give them some time alone.

Sam: Yeah, let's head back to the waiting room.

Theodore: Are you okay, Alvin?

Alvin nods, still holding Simon's hand.

The group quietly exits the room, leaving Alvin and Simon alone together.
