Sitting on the throne is a green eyed blue hedgehog man in a golden knight armour, stroking a purple furred hedgehog girl in a dress who is sleeping on the knight's lap.

Watching, Sonic is surprised that this hedgehog looks like his mother at a young age, making him think about who his mother truly was back then.

"Sonic? Is that you?" Tails appears while standing next to Sonic himself.

"Tails? How did you get here?" Sonic is surprised that Tails is in Chaos Control with him.

"Just like you and Knuckles, I used Chaos Control. I can't leave you with Knuckles. What if he'll attack you in the past?" Tails is honest as he's worried.

Sonic had a feeling that Tails said it quietly behind his back, knowing he's facing a hostile echidna, making him smirk.

"Okay. Stay quiet and don't disturb this timeline." Said Sonic.

Tails nods with agreement as he watches the king knight and his daughter in the throne room.

Flash.

Angel Island

Opening his eyes, Sonic finds himself at a beach in a floating Angel Island, realising that this island used to float a long time ago.

Remaining calm, Sonic is looking at the trees that are being blown by the wind.

What's confusing is that there's no date to tell where it took place.

Tails is also awake, wondering where he went along with Sonic.

Then something catches Tails' eyes.

"Sonic. Look." Tails points at the same hedgehog girl he and Sonic saw at the throne room.

As Sonic and Tails are near an unconscious hedgehog girl, Sonic couldn't bring himself to do anything as if the past should say as is.

"Sonic. Who's that guy from earlier?" Tails asked.

"Dunno. He looks like my dad if he was the king." Sonic is thinking about the hedgehog's appearance.

"I think he looks like the older version of you." Tails assumed.

"He's your ancestor, or should I say grandfather." Knuckles appears behind Sonic and Tails, leading the duo to stand guard against Knuckles himself.

"Knuckles!" Tails growled.

"Prepare to fight us?" Sonic asks with a grin.

"So it seems Tails the Fox joined us on our trip down the ancestry. Why?" Knuckles raise his fists after punching them together.

"Because I can't let you hurt my friend!" Tails snapped.

"Hmph! Being protective, aren't you, kid." Knuckles is ready to beat up a blue hedgehog and an orange fox.

"Hold on. So, Knuckles, you're bringing me here because you wanted to know who mom was as well?" Sonic asks calmly.

"Indeed." Knuckles nod.

"And you're saying this is my mom?" Sonic looks at the purple furred hedgehog girl.

"Of course. You saw your grandfather, Arthur Sylvannia the Hedgehog." Knuckles reveals what Sonic and Tails saw.

"Arthur? I was expecting something completely random like Ogilvie Maurice or something." Sonic jokingly said while shrugging his shoulders.

"This is no joke! Arthur is supposed to be your ancestor, but he turned out to be your grandfather!" Knuckles snapped.

"I see. What does that make you, red guy?" Sonic asks while poking the white crescent moon shaped part of Knuckles' chest fur.

As Knuckles slaps Sonic's hand off, he looks at the same hedgehog girl that's still not moving.

"So, you said mom and dad met over 10 years ago. I can count that's 16 years ago. When I was born, mom was 27 and dad was 25." Sonic points out about his birth and his parents' age.

"Your mother is older than your father and you're 10 years of age? Hm. Very uncommon to my tribe, but my parents are somewhere to be found." Said Knuckles.

"And how old are ya?" Sonic is curious to know Knuckles' age.

"Hmph! I remember on my 6th birthday, this is the last birthday since 7 years ago."

"In other words, you're 13." Sonic concludes.

"That's right! I am 13 years of age!" Knuckles jolts up as he remembers his age. "You, Tails the Fox!"

"It's Miles, you're gonna have to earn it if you stop being rude to me." Tails growled.

"I don't need your petty complaints, Tails the Fox." Knuckles dismisses Tails' complaints and then looks at him. "What is your age?"

"I'm 5. Just because I'm a kid, doesn't mean I'm weak! Sonic and I are on a journey to beat you and Eggman up!" Tails raise his fists while ready to fight.

"Speaking of Eggman, now do you stop believing in him?" Sonic asked.

"We made a promise. You're still the enemy!" Knuckles refuses to believe Sonic and Tails.

"HUH!?" Sonic and Tails are flabbergasted by the fact that Knuckles is still blinded by Eggman's lies.

"You still believe in Eggman's dumb lying sob story!?" Sonic snapped.

"So what!? You're still delinquents!" Knuckles shouts back.

"Delinquents!? If you're looking for one, then Anton is your answer!" Sonic points his thumb behind.

"Who's Anton!?" Knuckles is confused about the name.

"That bully I had to go through all my life!" Sonic yelled.

"Not my problem!" Knuckles scoffed.

"So it's okay when he bullied me and my friends, but not okay with Eggman being the one bullied!?" Sonic is shocked as he's enraged about Knuckles' dismissal of bullying.

"At least he's being reasonable!" Knuckles snapped.

"He is not!"

"He is too!"

"Nuh-uh!"

"Yeah-huh!"

"Nuh-uh!"

"Yeah-huh!"

As Sonic and Knuckles' argument swings back and forth, Tails pushes Sonic and Knuckles, yelling at them to stop.

"GUYS! She's awake! We need to hide!" Tails exclaimed.

"Oh shoot! You're right!" Sonic immediately turns around while rushing with Tails to hide.

Knuckles follows as he's behind the tree with Sonic and Tails.

Grunting while waking up, a purple furred hedgehog girl, Aleena Sylvannia the Hedgehog,looks around, realising that she's no longer home as she's standing up and looking at the sky.

"Where am I? Daddy?" Aleena calls while walking around the beach.

Nowhere to find home as Aleena is silent, worried that she won't be able to go back, leading to her slapping her own cheeks.

"Calm down, Aleena, daddy told me that freedom is absolute and my journey is forever! I'll be brave and I'll go on adventures!" Aleena said to herself as she ran into the trees.

As Aleena is gone, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are watching a hedgehog starting her adventure, just like how Sonic did back at South Island.

"So your mother is adventurous. An interesting motivation she had." Knuckles is thinking how Sonic is similar to his mother.

"Heh. Maybe it runs in my family's blood. Tania is just like mom and dad. Maybe my family just loves adventures." Sonic answers Knuckles' speculation.

Knuckles is questioning if Eggman is wrong that Sonic is a bully, making him think about who Sonic is.

"Let's go! We'll lose her if we stand around!" Tails calls while flying.

"Sure! Hey, Knucklehead, let's keep going!" Sonic waves while running.

"Huh!? What did you call me!?" Knuckles growled and then followed Sonic and Tails.

"Well, since you stained Tails' name back to bullying and disrespected the name of Sonic the Hedgehog, I was thinking Knucklehead is a good name for you." Sonic laughs while running with Tails.

"So you think it's not okay to bully you and your friends, but it's okay to bully others!?" Knuckles yells while chasing Sonic and Tails.

While arguing, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are following Aleena to learn more about her.

Inside the forest, Aleena is searching for someone else as she's avoiding stepping on the animals and looking to her left and right.

Sighing, Aleena hops down, only for her to catch a glimpse of a random anthropomorphic echidna walking through the bushes, leading to Aleena following and entering through the bushes.

Sliding behind, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are still following through the bushes while trying not to be discovered.

As they crawl, Knuckles lowers his head while keeping an eye on Sonic and Tails.

"So if Amy the Hedgehog is your friend that has no chaos energy inside of her due to the lack of contacting the chaos emerald, why does she fight along with you guys?" Knuckles asked.

"That's because Amy is always there for us if we're hurt. Ever since the Queen hated me, Amy has been there to defend me. She always did the same for Sonic when he was bullied." Tails explains while still crawling forward.

Knuckles can see why they're always together, even Tikal was travelling with them in Angel Island.

"Why did Tikal accompany you kids?" Knuckles asked.

"To see Sonic's sister again. Her name is Tania." Tails answered.

"And who is Tania the Hedgehog?"

"She's strange, but Sonic will tell you, right, Sonic?" Tails turn towards Sonic, making Sonic himself sigh with annoyance.

"Fine. Tania's a weirdo at best, but she's always there when I'm sad. Compared to who I am, Tania is brave, strong and will do anything for her love for adventure. Truthfully, I'm just a normal kid who is nothing special. Heck, if Tania and I swapped, then she'll kick your butt with no hesitation." Sonic explains his sister's nature.

"So you're saying that this hedgehog is filled with wrath and pride?" Knuckles asks another question.

"No. Tania's just easygoing when she's calm. I can't remember much, but… I miss her." Sonic frowns while he sighs and continues forward.

Knuckles understands why Sonic is acting rashly towards him and Eggman, making him question if he's in the wrong for believing in Eggman's sob story.

"Huh? Hey, Tails, Knuckles! Look out there!" Sonic calls as he stands up.

As Tails and Knuckles did the same, they see an ancient civilisation that is more populated with many anthropomorphic echidnas, making Sonic and Tails gasp with surprise.

"No way… We made it?" Knuckles is surprised that what Aleena led them to is a civilisation of echidnas near where the Master Emerald is at.

Marble Garden

Aleena is running past other echidnas, making them exclaim and turn towards a person that's not an echidna.

"Who is that?" A female echidna asks while hanging the clothes.

"I have no clue, but this kid's a strange one." The male echidna stops while carrying a log.

As Aleena keeps on moving left and right by avoiding other echidnas, she bumps into an echidna woman, who turns around with surprise.

"Oh? What's this? Hello there, little one. Are you lost?" An echidna woman asked.

Aleena shakes her head with disagreement and looks up with determination.

"I was with daddy the last time and now I'm on an adventure to find him."

"So you are lost… It's okay, we'll let the chieftain know about this." The echidna woman holds Aleena's hand while taking her to a different location.

While still following, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are keeping a check out on Aleena's history and her road that leads to Sonic's birth.

Mystic Ruins

At the emerald's altar, praying with the tiny blue creatures called chao, an elderly echidna woman is chanting along with a young echidna girl that appears to be Tikal at a younger age.

Standing behind and waiting are not only the echidna woman and Aleena, but Sonic, Tails and Knuckles are seeing the Master Emerald flash after the elderly echidna's prayers.

"See that, Tikal? The Master Emerald is granting us peace with not just the echidna kind, but those outside our island." The elderly echidna said with a warm smile towards Tikal.

"Wow… So, will there be world peace, grandma?" Tikal asked.

"Of course there will be." The elderly echidna nods while turning around. "Ah, Lara-Le. And who may this little one be?"

"This hedgehog is lost and I was thinking if you could help us, chief." Lara-Le the Echidna bows while letting Aleena move forward a little.

"This hedgehog… I remember a kingdom of hedgehogs. I believe this kid is the daughter of the king?" The elderly said, approached Aleena and bent down in front of her. "Is that true?"

"Yeah. Daddy is the king and I'm only finding my way out." Aleena answers confidently and nods with a serious smile.

"I see. I'm sure you can stay with us. When your father gets here, I'm sure your kingdom and our clan will make peace. Let us promise that, little one." The chief lady raises her pinky finger, only for Aleena to do with an old lady.

"Okay!" Aleena accepted.

Approaching, Tikal puts a flower crown on Aleena's head, making her giggle.

"I'm Tikal. This is grandma." Tikal introduces herself as Aleena pat Tikal's head.

"I'm Aleena. Aleena the Hedgehog." Aleena points at herself with her thumb.

Flash.

In the same place, a few weeks have passed, making Sonic, Tails and Knuckles look around as if Chaos Control isn't controlled by Knuckles.

To their surprise, they see a hedgehog that looks identical to Sonic's older self in a golden knight armour and red cape blowing.

"Daddy!" Aleena cheers while jumping to Arthur's arms.

"Aleena! How's your adventure going?" Arthur Sylvannia the Hedgehog places his hands on Aleena's shoulders after being in joy of seeing his daughter again.

"It's going great! I get to see all the landscapes, I even made friends there." Aleena is showing her father the echidna clan while waving to Tikal.

"I see. Miss Echidna, I'd like to thank you for taking care of my daughter." Arthur bows to Grandma while raising his hand as a way of gratitude.

"I'm glad to hear that. King Arthur Sylvannia of the Sylvania Kingdom, I would like to have peace between our people." Grandma Echidna raises her hand and shakes Arthur's hand.

"As much as my bloodline goes on adventures, I would gladly take that offer." Arthur accepts peace with his people and the echidna clan.

To the trio's surprise, Aleena is a lot more similar to Sonic in terms of personality, making Sonic lower his head.

"Sonic…" Tails looks at Sonic with worry after realising how similar he is to his mother.

Knuckles closes his eyes and turns away, realising that things are a lot different than what he thinks about.

"Knuckles?" Tails turns towards Knuckles, confused that he's leaving.

"So, do you believe us now?" Sonic asks while moving his head a little.

"I'll let Eggman answer. You two are lucky now that I have these." Knuckles not only has the green emerald, but the blue emerald which had Sonic and Tails immediately standing while preparing to fight Knuckles himself.

That means 2 chaos emeralds are taken away as they have 5 more left until a flashing light takes them to a different time period.
